Old Dood
It is always a pleasure to reply to your posts.
About obstacles- an ability to go through a solid object while OOB seems to primarily depend on both the clearness of the conciousness and the motivation for getting around (or through) the obstacle. I am not an expert but have read a LOT of OBE accounts and have noticed a definate trend regarding obstacles. Physical objects and energy fields are harder to overcome when a person is either a) confused b) highly emotional or scared and c) when lacking energy.
Conversely those obstacles are much more easily overcome when the OBE'er is focused, motivated and charged with energy.
Of course this is only a generalization but this is true for me as well.

Flying is -- simply put -- a  BLAST There is no other sensation quite like it.  :-D
Of course not all of my flights have been picture perfect. During one OBE I inverted head down and feet up while in flight. I started to slowly lower toward an alley 20 feet below. I tried everything to go upright again, including flapping my arms like a bird. Nothing worked. I landed on the pavenment head first and that ended the OBE.   Oh well. lol  :? :-)

Regarding your frequency of projecting -- have you tried hemisync tapes or a brainwave generator ? About one month ago I purchased a hemisync CD (From Monroe Products (TMI)). Even without headphones I have had 3 OBEs in 3 weeks whereas before listening to that CD my last projection was back in March. That could be only coincidence but probably not.
Grey

I need to purchase those tapes.  I could use a 'boost' I suppose.
What exactly do YOU recommend?  Disk Wise from TMI.... I mean.

Thanks....

Hi Venus

Yes, barriers seem to take several forms including --

1) psychic fields deliberately created to ensure privacy.

2) energy fields, like Faraday cages and high voltage power lines. (Robert Monroe described several experiences with these.) and

3) physical objects including trees, doors, walls and windows. Usually these physical barriers can be overcome with forethought and effort. However, during my OBEs I had no plan of action or intent once OOB. So when I encountered the trees I found them much more formidable than they should have been.
In other words If I had a stronger motive to go over/get around those trees then I would have managed to do it. That may sound odd yet many people find simple barriers like doors and walls completely unpassable when OOB unless they have a strong motive to overcome them. Remember in the astral/ethereal realm thoughts are of prime importance. So lack of intent (= thought) means that all obstacles are harder to overcome.
Hope that makes sense.

Grey
It makes perfect sense.
I have had obstacles become a problem and then not.
Once I just willed myself pass them.
Like a wall or a window. Other times I felt the texture of the object I 'went through'.
Very slowly too. Almost like slow motion.
When I do finally have an OBE then I will become a bit surprised so I will Fly just to 'stay busy' as to NOT wake up.
I have trouble controlling my 'flight' though.
Once I flew a couple of miles from home and it took everything to 'stop'.
I ended out by the airport. I fly backwards too. On my back as if lying down and flying head first. Weird & annoying.

The 'hovering' out side your home.  I have done that too. Anywheres from 10 feet to 100 feet in the air.
Floating but, at the same time I 'felt someone' near by but, I could see anyone.

Sadly though as of the last few months I have had problems trying to even have an OBE.
I have felt the beginnings of vibrations but that is about it.
Seems I do it easier in the colder months then the warmer.
However, my dreams have been 'busy'.  I can't remember them very well but, I know I am working my buttocks off. hehe

Good post Greytraveller.  You are an interesting person.  It would be a joy to meet you sometime.
I always enjoy reading your threads & posts.

Why can't Scientists find this so-called Missing Link?

Here is a Google Video that explains just that.

Lloyd Pye - Everything you Know is Wrong - 118 min - Apr 23, 2008

QuoteLloyd Pye is an author, researcher, and lecturer in the field of alternative knowledge. He calls on over 30 years of experience to write and speak about the origins of life, human origins, Hominoids (bigfoot, sasquatch, yeti, and others), and the work of Zechara Sitchin. This broad base of knowledge makes him one of the world's leading proponents of the Intervention Theory of origins, which stands in sharp contrast to Darwinism, Creationism, and Intelligent Design. His classic book about these subjects, Everything You Know Is Wrong -- Origins of Life and Humans, has been fully revised and updated as of July, 2007, and will be available from bookstores or directly from www.BellLapBooks.com. More information about Lloyd and his books can be found at www.LloydPye.com

This is very interesting and Eye Opening for those with an Open Mind.

EDIT: Anyone ever really 'wondered' what the scripture means when it says :"The Sons of God and the Daughter's of Men"?
I believe this answers this...Better then anything else I have heard.

#54
Anyone ever hear of this man?
Pretty interesting story.

It is best explained here in this thread on another forum.
The Open Minds forum.  Why am I posting here? Because I believe there are 'connections' between us all.

It starts to get very interesting from post #12 on...
I really do not care if certain people do not 'believe' this stuff.
That is not my problem or am I sharing this with them.
I am sharing this with people that have an open mind and want to learn more and more about our existence.
Things like this raises more questions for me anyways. I do not have all the answers. Not even close.
I do have a lot of questions though...Questions that are getting more detailed with each passing day.

So enjoy and let yourselves 'Out of the box'. hehe! :D

Hey Old Dood, have you seen the nasa tether incident, from 1996? Check out, this is the best evidence ever:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As-wYmFYb3I

Craters found on Mars on the left, and on the right one of the flying objects, those things are huge! The smallests are a few miles in diameter:

Search for pictures of Iapetus, this is cool. I'm a believer now.

Sorry Andrew,
For not getting back to you sooner. That is some awesome 'evidence'.

Just look at the swarms of UFOs around that tether.

I will take a shot in the dark and maybe 'guess' at who this person is.

David Wilcock?

You can listen to him on Project Camelot here: http://www.projectcamelot.org/david_wilcock.html (the main interview in at the bottom of the page)

He also has his own website: http://www.divinecosmos.com/

I have no clue to whom you are asking about. Just a guess on my part.

Regarding proof about ETs.

I suspect that the proof of ETS is Exactly like Proof of OBEs. You must experience one for yourself. Then when you try to tell someone they think that you are crazy. :-P

No, seriously, there Are many reported encounters of humans with ETs. The best known of these is Billy Meier. He has taken hundreds of photos and written thousands of pages of contact transcripts. Yet the average person on the street has probably never heard of him.

In fact it is quite difficult to talk about either OBEs or ETs Very convincingly. I find it Very hard to accurately describe my experiences. And I DO NOT try to convince anyone. It's a waste of time. The only true Proof is to experience an OBE yourself.
Same for ET contact. Of all the people that I have heard talk about alien contact only 2 or 3 seem credible. The short list is Bob Lazaar, Stanton Friedman and Whitley Strieber. That's all. Everyone else might be telling the truth. But the others lack that special quality to make the unbelievable sound believable.
Grey

Good post.
Here is a thread from someone that has had and still does 'contract' with ETs.

I for one believe him. Why should he lie?
Very DETAILED account of this person's life.

It is a LONG read.  44 pages and still growing.

This is one of the best forums out there in my opinion.
It's name is the Open Minds Forum.  Not Closed Minds.

I like that theory. I'm about to go get a double cheeseburger for lunch, so right now I'm believing it will help tremendously. Boy I'm hungry, and no guilt! And another OBE tonight! Hooray for cheeseburgers!

It's true. But I also work out and will be eating more healthy meals over the next few days. You have to balance it out.

'Moderation' is the key.  To just about everything actually.
We eat meat but, we do not eat it every stinkin' day.
I love making good old fashion Meat Loaf in the winter.
With real whipped (not mashed...whipped) potatoes with cream cheese/real butter blended in.
Smothered that all with gravy....
The very next day....Meat Loaf sandwiches with real mayo....YUM!

Other days we do not eat all that much. I might simply have English Muffins toasted with peanut butter.
Or cereal with skim milk. We quit whole milk years ago. We do like Half & Half in our coffee though.

Just depends on the mood.  Mrs Dood likes to make fish. I do not care for it except for Albacore Tuna.

Cheese Burgers are fantastic if made correctly.  Not to lean.  Need some fat for flavor. Oh...and REAL cheese as well.

Another good meal(now that I am hungry talking about food) is an English Roast in the Crock Pot with Potatoes, Carrots, Onions.
Slow cook that all day and look forward to that to come home to.
The next day I dice the left-overs up and then pan fry it all in what else?  Butter.  Real Sweet Cream Butter.
Our children have learned to love that almost more then the pot roast. hehe.
My wife's Father taught us that little left-over trick.

Not a damn thing wrong with eating meat...Good eatin' on a cold winter's day.

Old Dood check your private messages i left you a question.

I have really nothing to add...
#61
I was going to suggest Frank as well.

I wasn't sure if it was the 'correct thing' or not...

Frank's 'perspective' is very cool in my opinion.
#62
I never want to 'think' for 'God'.
There are enough people running around trying to tell us what 'God Thinks'.

In addition to the belief in a literal heaven or hell i also believe that sometimes a person's spirit can get trapped on earth and be stuck between heaven and hell and become a ghost.
Yes, i believe one can become 'stuck' as a ghost. In Monroe's thinking that was Focus 23.
Seriously, check out these books. I would suggest reading Monroe's books first then Moen's.
To me anyways, Bruce Moen's books are an extention of Robert Monroe's books in a sense and it is easier to understand his in my opinion once you have read Monroe's first.

As for Projecting Outwards.  All dimensions are all around us. Same 'space' so to speak.
When we raise our 'Vibrational State' then we can 'see' these other Dimensions, Focus Levels, Realities, etc.
I am still 'working' on it.  For I am still a n00b! :D

It is the best way I can explain it to you.  Maybe Stookie can explain it better.
#64
If you read Robert Monroe's 3 books then read Bruce Moen's 4 books (5 if you count his latest Afterlife guide book)
You will get a good idea of what to expect.

Not EVERYone believes this by the way. This is one view but, I happen to believe it.

Google is how I found most of what I read anymore.
That is how I found this place.

This is why I am a firm believer in Net Neutrality.
A tad off topic I know but, if we do not have Net Neutrality then finding things (that WE want to find) on the internet will become near to impossible.

Link: http://savetheinternet.com/

A lot of people have no clue what is going on in this regard.
'They' are trying to take away what we have come to know as the World Wide Web.
If that goes away and becomes 'controlled' then we will not have any objective views left to read anymore.
#66
Boy, are you impatient.

Take a breath. Things take time...

My friend didn't 'try' to go beyond.
He accepted the 'guy's word that he could not go there.

I have no clue as to how or why but, I can 'see' a Spirit Guide/Helper/Whatever having more ability then a physical being would.

One of my good friends can travel Astrally quite well.
He once 'tried' to see what President Bush was up too.

He was stopped by a 'person'.  The 'Person' wasn't mean or anything but would not allow my friend to go any farther then the point he intercepted my friend at.

My friend called this guy the 'Astral Police'....or...'Astral Secret Service'. :)

It was a amazing story.  My friend has visited many places.  Even his son who is in lock up for 2nd degree murder.

I don't suggest messing around in government secure locations. Area 51 is boring anyways. You probably won't find anything. I suggest checking out the basement of the Alamo. If you can get there, you can get anywhere.
I think Pee-Wee Herman tried the Basement of the Alamo...hehe!

Richard Hoagland.

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDEcfohz8xE

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sto4F2vBZg

Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEsPKcRV5ZE

Albuquerque, December 2007
The name of Richard Hoagland - a bearded Viking warrior, still standing after all these years - is inevitably etched in the minds of all those who have contemplated the possibility that all may not be the way we are led to believe on the Moon and Mars. Informed and opinionated, and proud to have been a steady thorn in NASA's side for over twenty years, Richard makes regular appearances as the Science Adviser on Coast to Coast AM - and has written two books, the most recent of which, Dark Mission, has climbed to near the top of the New York Times best seller list.

We visited Richard at his Albuquerque home on two occasions. The first, in December 2006, generated the kind of spirited and wide-ranging restaurant conversation that really should have been captured on video. The second time, a year later, we channeled all our conversation on camera - three hours' worth - and then celebrated with the restaurant conversation afterwards. The three of us were delighted with what we had captured.

This interview, in three comprehensive parts, first chronicles Richard's personal journey; then detailed photographic analysis evidencing NASA's deception of the public for decades; and finally his personal views and conclusions about 2012.

Richard - articulate, outspoken and controversial as always - packs a huge amount of information into the nearly three hours of edited interview. Whatever your personal views about NASA, the Apollo missions, or the possible real history of our solar system and its exploration past and present, you will find material here that will educate, inform and stimulate, and which cannot be ignored.

(I hope this is in the correct forum...I never really know where to put these)

Hey everyone,

I now have 11 people signed up for the lucid dreaming course and 4 for the astral travel course.

I have a quick question for this community:

I am getting feedback on the game I will use to help fascilitate the group learning. I originally picked World of Warcraft but am leaning toward Guild Wars now.

Any input?

Don

Updated Dec. 25/2007

If I may help here.
I use to play a lot of Guild Wars when it came out it's first year.
I should still in fact have my 'Dood' in there...somewhere..hehe
That is how I got my screen name because I seemed to be older then most in there.
I can't even remember my password anymore.

I would suggest Guild Wars only because it is Free.  You only have to pay for the game.
It is easy to navigate.  It seemed to load pretty good.  Also you can dumb down the graphics for people that don't have the latest systems.
It looks pretty good even with the graphic sliders turned down.
I know there are people that like WoW over GW but, that is just being picky.
They are both pretty much the same thing except Guild Wars doesn't have a monthly fee.

EDIT: ODD...the forum put your post as if it was a new post.
Maybe I hit the Topic Line instead of the little NEW box...
This has been covered....sigh....need more coffee.
Still, Guild Wars is free and will allow weaker computer systems and that is a big plus.

I know I watched Omega man years ago but cannot remember most of it.  Was Charlton Heston the main guy in the old version?  (sucks to be old-you start forgetting what you even liked!)
Yes he was.  And his NRA training came in handy. :D

Wow, that sounds really interesting and cool. I'm actually in the middle of reading his first book right now.
You might want to 'follow up' with reading Bruce Moen's books after reading Bob Monroe's.
They are very enlightening as well. He know Robert Monroe while he was here and after he passed on.

Very interesting stuff. I am reading those right now myself. Got them for Christmas...
