I've tried an app on my iPad called Astral Dreams. You just put some headphones on and listen to the audio. It works but it's like when you use it then the whole experience just feels scattered. At least for me.

What is the audio supposed to do?

Yeh many seem to be saying that attempting after you have woken is best but then I always just wake up and before I remember to attempt I am too awake.

I disagree.
Im highly successful at bedtime.

Ive read that its harder to do at bedtime and read people sayn they cant do it at bedtime but I assure you its possible.
Most people have a bedtime and force themselves to go to sleep as if it were a choir. If this is the case then you will not succeed. Trick is, have a long day, go to bed when the body is tired -when you can hardly keep your eyes open.-For me this is the best time.
Say I go to bed at 11pm and Im exhausted, so i do my thing and it roughly takes 20min to project and I get back around 2am. Then I know exactly how long I was projecting as well. Then I wake up and either stand up stretch out and just finish the night sleeping till its time to wake up. -or I wake, dont move and go again. Ive spent many nights APing for the duration of the night.

Trust me I had years of being an insomniac. Sleeping for me used to be non existent and a pain in the butt. Not no more, now I look forward to bedtime. Try it out, give it a shot, give it a week or 2 and Im guessing ya get it. Honestly let me know how it works out for you. GL

So seeing as you used to getting out when trying to sleep, what is the technique you use pls do you do the mind awake body asleep repeat as you drift off?
#55
K I been trying the technique with repeating "mind awake body asleep" when going to beddybyes. Thing is if I am tired I just wont be able to last long doing this as I seem to find it to much of an effort to keep consciousness in the mind enough to keep repeating those words as I am dozing in fact it might actually be prohibiting me sleeping.

Has any other peeps here tried this technique? tell of experiences or progress here pls.

Is there another way perhaps which you can keep reminding the brain to stay aware some as the body drifts off to sleepyland? I think this technique holds a lot of potential its just certainly not one of easiest ones at least not for me.

K I am sitting here and got sleepy then was half asleep then all of a sudden I entered the astral. What would be the general feeling or experience? how much would my consciousness change in general? would I feel temperature drops or?

I trying to find out more on what exactly changes once you make that transition from the physical world to the RTZ or astral.

K I can't seem to find that thread that was a sticky topic on peoples reports on validations.

Anyway has anyone here been able to do any recently? anything worth mentioning?

So when your in vibrations what is the sure sign you can exit?

For me, it's when I hit that "point of consciousness" state.  When there's nothing but me... and my consciousness.  No physical surroundings, no physical body, no anything... just my consciousness.

But you're probably referring to a classic separation obe... in which case, I don't do them.  :)

Can you pls tell me the point when you know you have reached Theta? are you still conscious enough to think of attempting an OBE in theta? that's what worries me is that i'll be too out of it to realise to attempt.
#61
How you guys know when to project when you are in Theta from a Bin beat? I just confused when to know.
#62
Quick q before anyone else answers: how do you listen to these? do you listen to the background and concentrate on the noises behind or the music/sounds at the front? and you forget everything else yes and focus on just the sounds?

I trying to get started using these and trying to find out the best way to do so. I also worry I may go into The theta state and not even know it and end up missing the opportunity to OBE. You got any tips here pls?
#63
Someone want to try this technique with me? I want to see if someone out there who is also trying to obe would want to try this technique along with me when they next go to bed. I am just looking for someone to get feedback from on this and perhaps could help each other out.

So anyone want to try the cellphone technique at all?
#64
Is there 1 specific chi technique that can help you raise energy which could let you project? what would it be? I have seen a lot on chi techniques for various things but never specifically for helping get an OBE. Let me hear any specific techniques on chi for projection here pls.
#66
Was there ever anything done on this? its my understanding that science seems to be a lot more open minded these days over paranormal things but was any research ever done on what the actual astral planes are? I been told that some scientists think the astral may be another dimension.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any scientific research on discovering what the astral plane is scientifically? I am trying to look for proper research done on this by maybe a reputed univercity or something if there is any. Anyone know any keywords for me to type in on this or forums to go to? thankyou.

I actually recommend a little drink before trying to OBE. Sometimes I have a little bit of scotch. It numbs my senses and relaxes me and no I don't get drunk, just a little more relaxed.
#68
Alrightyyyy so we know that an OBE can be used for possible long term spiritual and character growth and other reasons such as mental healing etc. What I want to know now is can OBE's be used practically for perhaps solving a complicated maths problem from your higher self or spirit guides or maybe you could use an OBE if you lose something to travel back in time to observe where you placed the object before you lost it.

So.....OBE's. can be used practically or not? anyone done so?
#69
Isn't focusing on the blackness just basically "Phasing" ?!?
#70
Well has there ever been any studies on this? perhaps a person with a severe illness monitored whilst someone else goes into the astral to try heal them. It would seem a simple enough experiment and if worked would be pretty obvious if the patients illness symptoms hastily subsided. I don't think it can be done. Anyone else agree?

Hey bellend_1010,
I have never really thought about visiting a past time in this life. I am sure it would work though if you had the right intentions. We're pretty much just accessing a form of the akashic records. You're right about having to be skeptical of these events, there's no way to verify (most of) them!  :-)  I could say that my experience watching myself as a slow cross country runner was just an imagined event of what i truly did not want to happen in my current life.

Why don't you try it? you seem to be able to mess about with time out of your physical so go for it man! see if you can go back to other times in your life to see events that really happened.
#72
Good stuff but would this work with just viewing past or future events in this life? seems most of what I come across about time in the RTZ seems about past lives which I can't help being a little skeptical of. You ever been able to view the past at all in your life now?

Good stuff though.
#73
K so when you exit your physical into the RTZ from a location familiar to you such as your bedroom on your bed, you are more likely to reconise and verify things that are really in your bedroom when your in RTZ. But when your in the RTZ of an unfamiliar area like your friends bedroom for example then how does the RTZ come across? do you find you see less that you verify after the OBE?

I am trying to see if the mind plays a part in how your expectations of the RTZ are seen because of the location and its familiarity on the brain like if you OBE and enter into RTZ then would the perimeter around your friends house for example, be different to what it really is for the simple reason you are not familiar with it? (lets just assume you are staying over a friend of a friends house because of complications of not being able to get home from a party or something and you OBE randomly that night)

Pls people with experience here answer thx.

Just a Q about what vibrations may really be: You know many think the pre-obe vibrations are spiritual in nature but I was thinking if maybe the vibrations are merely to do with the body trying to somehow circulate blood better or something? your views pls.
#75
I always thought the Angler Gyrus thing from blanc and the more recent experiments was interesting but not really anywhere close to being conclusive as a true OBE is something very different and not just sitting there feeling like your consciousness is somewhere else yes there is much more phenomena going on when out of your physical body than just feeling dissociated. Come on is that the best they can do?
