I don't know the answer to your questions but I suggest leaving AP for after giving birth to your child. AP is safe in most cases but there are bad experiences too and since we don't know how exactly it can affect you and your child's health it's better to be safe than sorry.

As for how it affects AP, my blind guess is that probably pregnancy somehow affected your ren and chong meridians and opened them up and caused the qi to ascend but probably now at this stage your qi just shouldn't go that way and it might interfere with your stomach's qi in going down which would explain the pain in your stomach.

Another reason that I can think of is that in the process of pregnancy and especially after giving birth your body would consume a lot of your yuan qi which is the vital energy source for AP. In that case is would be normal to loose some of your abilities as a result of loosing your vital energy. However if after giving birth you rest enough and gradually condition your body through diet as well as moderate exercise you might be able to restore most of what you have lost in a short time.

Meditation is a tool that can be used for astral projection. It can also be used for other goals like health, martial arts, ...
#53
I think meditation is a general term and can refer to many different methods. Going out of the body can happen in many different situations. It can happen accidentally, because of being tired or sick and consciously through meditation.

For planned OBE I don't really know any way other than meditation(stoping my inner conversation, focusing on a high pitched sound, etc), so I don't understand why you say meditation is not necessary.

Also doing meditation methods like qigong regularly can help us in gathering the energy and focus needed for better and more stable out of body experiences and can help us to avoid going to the lower realms and dealing with all kinds of scary beings.

I don't know much about science and I need some help to answer this question. I wonder if kirlian photography is actually about what we see as auras. I understand that it is somehow related to bioelectric energy but if what we see as auras is electromagnetic fields then why is it that I don't feel much difference(I mean not the same feeling that I have by touching human auras but there is something about them) by touching the area around magnets or electrical devices. And if it was something as explainable as bio-electricity then how can they explain that humans can see them even better than scientific instruments?

Sometimes when I am traveling by bus or by airplane I have visions of the landscape outside as if I'm floating outside of the plane or the bus but the feeling is different from my normal OBEs as I'm mostly awake. Anyway what is the difference between OBE and remote viewing?

If something big was going to happen I assume it would be one of these two:

1. A third world war starting in the middle east.
2. The scientists at CERN might make discoveries that would uncover the mysteries of the spiritual world.

Anyway, as long as something happens the new agers can claim it as their own great prediction! So don't worry!

Alcohol can open up your small heavenly circle a little bit (ren and du meridians) which is why it can to some extent expand our awareness but its effect is nothing comparing to what one can do by learning proper meditation and the poison it brings into our bodies is really not worth it.
#58
Yes, possible but not always accurate. I have done it quite a few times on people that I know and have confirmed it with them for example by telling them what they wore and what they were doing at the time.

QuoteInteresting way to put it rezaf, is this your own personal beliefs you have put together or are you referencing this from someone else?

Mostly from my own experience but I am sure I have heard or read similar ideas elsewhere, though I can't remember where.

Our consciousness is confined within the walls of the physical world which is a good and a bad thing. Good because it keeps us sane and bad because it stops us from expanding our awareness. Learning meditation in the proper way is like opening a door in that wall so that you can come and go between the two worlds without losing control but using too much of alcohol,  hallucinogenic drugs and improper meditation is like destroying the wall.

I finally did a direct validation!!!!
I didn't use playing cards but used random numbers I had written on pieces of paper. Since projection was difficult I cheated and just asked my guide and she showed me the number  :-D

Now I need to repeat it and see if it will work again.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: what is love?
July 05, 2012, 11:24:08
Along with all the abstract, romantic and philosophical stuff there is also a physical part that might be part of the feeling we call love between a man and a woman. I have noticed that after sex some kind of energy connection forms between a man(in this case me ) and a woman. After several times this connection that works like a magnet gets stronger and stronger. That way even being around her makes me sense the connection. I don't know what a woman would get out of this energy connection but I can certainly feel being close to her gives me the female yin energy and grounds the energy in my body.

What did she look like? I have had many experiences with a race of jinn. I actually asked them and they confirmed it. The special thing about them is that they only have one eye.
#64
I think it would be a better discussion if we compared what we have heard from guides or other astral beings by ourselves.

QuoteThe Bible holds tons of truth, but only the wisest, can understand it clearly.

If Islam is partly true then it means that there is a great chance that all the Abrahamic religions are also partly true as Islam recognizes Christianity and Judaism. All I have discovered so far is that these religions have some connections to the astral world and it's not just human spirits that are involved in them. However my knowledge is very limited and before jumping into any conclusions for or against them I need to learn more.

Once I was talking to my guide and told her how I was brainwashed to believe in Islam and my guide got angry with me. I asked her "Is there a God?" She said yes. I asked her "Was Mohammad a true prophet?" She said yes. I asked her "Is Islam true?" She said "partly". Other guides have also talked to me about reincarnation and have told me that I can have one small glass of wine occasionally but have forbidden me from eating meat which is different from Islam's teaching. Also we sometimes recite the Quran together and it brings a lot of positive energy. I have also realized that Muslim prayer is actually some sort of effective meditation and is quite good for cleansing the meridians especially the way we wash our face, hands and feet.

Having said that believing in anything blindly is not my style and I want to learn more from all the sources I have but so far the spiritual side of Islam like praying and fasting seem to work well and I'm planning to continue doing them as part of my spiritual education.

Edit: Apart from Islam I have also felt and seen a lot of positive energy of the same kind in some(not all) of the Buddhist temples around China and many of the objects that the monks open to light actually work and have energy.

Quotethank you rezaf. so there is no where to learn the theories? how about books wrote on the subject would you consider the majority good or bad and is there any books you would recomend on the topic?

I haven't really seen many good books but maybe it's because I haven't looked for it. However there are some good books about the TCM theory, Zhouyi etc which are all related to qigong but the ones I know are in Chinese. As Stillwater said Chinese people are extremely secretive about these arts and many would rather die with their knowledge than teach it to strangers but searching for internal martial arts masters might be a good realistic start as a great deal of daoist meditations has been passed on in martial arts circles. Even if you find a good teacher, often you need to become an official disciple and learn from them for a few years until they trust you.
Anyway here is the link of an interesting qigong course in English: http://www.docin.com/p-225980441.html

QuoteNin shi zhong guo ren, rezaf?

8-) No but I live in China.

There is very little information about the serious type of qigong on the internet in English(even in Chinese) and you need to find a good instructor. Usually good instructors of internal martial arts like taijiquan, xinyi and bagua know qigong very well and can teach you their system. The meridian circulation that I talked about is called the large heavenly circle and the ren-du circulation is called the small heavenly circle. Usually it is said that you should first open the small one and then the large one but the way I was taught was a little bit different. We did lots of preparatory exercises before practicing the circulation and it was all mixed with our martial arts training. Also you need to learn the position of the acupuncture points as well as the path of all the meridians.

I am not familiar with the indian energy systems but in the meridian circulation we move the energy all over the body in the regular and extraordinary meridians but I guess the most important part of the circulation is the ren and du meridians which make a circle around the spine, the head, face, the front part of the chest and the abdomen. There is also another set which focuses on the three dantians and the area between them(7 in total) individually. I believe these 7 regions are similar to the chakras and after finishing this set it is important to do the ren-du circulation to ground the energy.
#70
There are many different exercises and sets for this in qigong but yes the concept is to move the energy from the lower dantian all over your body and then bringing it back to lower dantian. After a few years of this your meridians will get open and you will sense the energy flowing in them all the time. Actually this circulation happens this way for everyone but for normal people the meridians are not that open and it's fine because there is less amount of energy moving in them. However people who practice advanced stuff in martial arts or meditation need to move more energy and if they haven't opened up the whole system it wouldn't be easy for their bodies to ground the energy.
#71
On Chinese qigong forums I have seen many people who have this problem and usually it's because they haven't been taught correctly and that they practice things that their bodies are not ready for. This is why in qigong there is a lot of emphasis on opening up the meridians and circulating the energy before starting more serious stuff so that it doesn't get stuck somewhere. You need to move the energy down.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Tai Chi

I meant they can help you to locate an instructor near where you live. It's impossible to learn these things from online videos or books.

Years ago when I used to use a computer software to play one note(piano sound) for me continuously (with a relatively slow speed). It could easily hypnotize me and bring me into deep meditation state.

In case you want to learn the serious type of taijiquan that can actually help you with astral projection, just make sure that you find a good instructor. Here in China it is hard to find that kind of instructor and what they teach at most of the gyms and parks is mostly simplified forms without mentioning anything about the internal power which is better than doing nothing but not much better than doing any other physical activities. I can just guess that it is worse outside of China. However I think if you ask people on a martial arts forum like this:  www.emptyflower.net you might have more luck in finding a good instructor. There are also other arts that you can look into like "yi quan" or just simply all kinds of "qigong" which are more focused on the meditation part.

I am 27. I had my first OBE when I was 3. The second one (a dark being attack) when I was about 9 and then nothing until I was about 13 or 14. At that time I started having OBEs (usually full of wild beings) once every few days and then I stopped practicing for a few years. Now at 27 I think I'm getting better and better as long as I reserve enough jing(something like sexual energy). This part is taking me longer and longer as I age  :| . When I was a teenager I just needed to save it for a week or two to have a very stable OBE but now it takes me 3 or 4 weeks. However the good thing about aging is that I can control my feelings and fears better than before and as a result can have more stable experiences.
