Cool experience.  8-) I love false awakenings. They often trigger lucidity for me when I realize reality fluctuations, such as looking at my cellphone and not being able to read the text. Reading about this stuff triggers projections for me too - especially when using the "wake back to bed" method.

Yea, that's what I made yesterday. :)
#53
Haha maybe. But why egg coffee!?  :-D I'm going to believe that there is something happening on a physical level.
#54
What book work?

It's just a way you prepare the coffee. It looks like a lighter coloring. It takes the bitterness out of it. I actually taste pretty good, and all the other times I've tried coffee I've hated it. :) I know you don't need a "magical potion" but from where did this idea spring from?

I incubated this lucid dream using the "wake back to bed" method.

9/12/11
The dream starts out with an intense sexual urge. I am nearly lucid but my dream is being pulled by this sexual desire. I am running around naked and trying to materialize a female. I get to this outside area where I make the decision to put off these desires and make this a productive experience.

I find myself walking to this table or shrine which has all of these religious statues. One of them was this creepy looking doll thing, which I felt mildly fearful of. But I was courageous, put the fear aside, and began to talk with it.
After a few moments I found myself walking around with an entire entourage of people – most were perceived as my good friends such as Duddy and Heller. At this point I was completely lucid and I started to probe them with an array of questions.

First I asked if 'any of my guides would like to speak to me' and they all answered that they were my guides. I had made this request to the dream in general and was happy that this group of dream characters following me answered.

Next I asked the group 'if guides were interfaces with consciousness', but they seemed confused by the question. I asked a follow up question about if guides were like me, an individual unit of consciousness, and they said they were similar to me. I got the strong sense that a lot of my human concepts were alien to this group.

The next series of questions came when I thought about overcoming anxiety. I asked what the cause of my anxiety was and the guides said something about a "heroine-imbalance." This was confusing to me so I asked if they meant an 'opioid-related imbalance in my brain', but they said no. The guides then went on to prescribe "egg coffee" as a cure. I soon woke up and eagerly transcribed my experience. I cannot remember the dream in its entirety but I remember a lot of learning was going on, such as learning how to turn on and off my visual perception in the dream.

I was very thrilled to go online and find out egg coffee exists, and is actually an old Scandinavian drink which was drank in churches. Some even called it "the Nectar" and there is some very interesting chemistry associated with this drink. I'm not a coffee drinker at all. I just brewed a batch of this stuff and am having one of my first cups of coffee ever. Egg coffee is made by boiling coffee with a raw egg... you can find a few recipes online.

Do you think I jumped the gun by drinking this stuff? It seemed to me that it was a clear message from what I perceived as "guides", but I could be naive. Has anyone had a similar experience where an obscure food, unknown to the conscious self, was prescribed? What do you all make of this?

I experience it directly as I shift from the non-physical to the physical, and likewise as well.
From my experience it's like a sort of "buffer" between two reality frames.  It feels like a point where one reality frame ends... a millisecond break... then another begins.

I feel something similar, like I am rushing through air at a very fast speed.

"They were rather dull, however"

Well, who's fault is that?  :-D
#59
I was just poking some fun. I don't get them much anymore.

Or.................
You could try Phasing.  Which is a smooth transition of your consciousness from this reality to another reality.
You don't separate... you don't feel any of those sensations you do with classic separation OBEs.  You're just "here"... you shift... then you're "there".  :)

Look up Phasing if you're interested.  :)

But but but what about the vibrations necessary for exit?

I'm sure there is. I've been meditating for years but I must be doing it wrong.

"Rolling out" is quite natural if you are in the right state. You need to be deeply enough relaxed that your mind is no longer connected to the physical body. It feels just like if you were physically rolling over in your bed. I have actually made the mistake a few times of not being in the relaxed trance state and l physically got up, only to find myself not in the Phase but wide awake in my room.  :-D

I have never had a "direct" projection. I've tried probably a good 100 times over the past couple years too. I have had success using Raduga's indirect techniques... Actually the few nights I really concentrated on not moving when I woke up I projected nearly every time. Those techniques are great and also the "wake back to bed" method as well. Try some affirmations to wake up at a certain time... repeat them as you are falling the sleep. We have a very precise internal clock which does take commands.

Thank you for all your replies. Last night I received my answer. But, like alot of things that happen in the Astral this is to remain private. Ryan you can close this thread if you wish.
Thanks again!

Come on. I want to knowwwwwwwwww....

What's up man  8-)
#66
Why did you rob that poor man?
#67
Maybe these "scary" things are really nonphysical guides in disguise... They want to prepare us for the wider reality and make sure we have the courage survive out there.

I only experienced this stuff on a few occasions, but it eventually went away. Like the others say, all you have to fear is fear itself.

You project through the third eye, and if something is blocking it, a headache may occur. :]

It's an interesting theory but from my experience there is nothing to substantiate this.

Good point Ryan.

You can't fight violence with violence Summerlander. There is a root to the problem if you can get out of the "you vs. them" dichotomy.

Welcome Hunter.

Keep in mind that vibrations are not necessary for a projection. Some people feel them some don't. I have them in some projections and not in others. Projecting during the day is the most difficult way from my experience. You might have better luck trying techniques at night when your body is sufficiently relaxed. If your feeling strained and have a headache you are doing something wrong - the process should be effortless.

Check out the indirect techniques in this book which are easily done when waking up at night. http://www.scribd.com/doc/25845936/The-Matrix-is-Real-Hack-It-a-Practical-Guidebook

And start a dream journal if you haven't already!  8-)

There is always good and bad on both sides of the fence. Violence is never the solution. Pro-peace rallies ftw.

However, the rioters are upset with the current system - and rightly so.

Hey, Welcome to the forum.  8-)

There's a lot of really knowledgeable people around these parts who can definitely help you out with some of those issues. Dealing with fear is, IMO, probably the greatest challenge for projectors. I remember a few of my early OBEs a couple years back where I would hear this "sinister" and "evil" laughing.

Eventually I just forgot about it and stopped worrying. I focused on my excitement and the possibilities being out-of-body afforded me, which seemed to overrule the fear. It helps to remember that you can never be physically harmed. You can perform certain exercises and visualizations which protect you from "negative" influence.  8-) A simple one is to imagine a globe of light surrounding your body - You can also call on the protection from your higher power or spiritual guides. There are some good books out there which deal with practical psychic self-defense - Robert Bruce has a chapter regarding that in Astral Dynamics.

I'm having trouble following you entirely.

What do you mean by cause and effect in dreams?

What do you mean by scripts?
