Hi,

You should read Astral Dynamics. It answers your questions. Basically you have many different bodies. You're physical body, your subtle body (chakras etc), your real time body, your astral body, and then possibly an infinite number of bodies beyond that.

It's stated in the book that when you lucid dream you're in your subconscious and then become aware you're asleep in your physical mind which means your consciousness has not left your physical body. Now on the other hand when you project a mind split occurs and your consciousness shifts to a body outside of you physical and subtle body which never part from each other more than a few feet. Normally when this happens your realtime body or beyond inherits all of the memories from the physical brain and then starts recording info as a separate entity at this point and your physical body will know nothing of these memories unless your realtime body or beyond successfully downloads the new memories to your physical brain when you reintegrate with your physical body.

The difference here is that when you lucid dream you are still in your physical body "dreaming" and when you astral project you become a separate entity with it's own method of memory storage.

This is just a theory and be no means should you take my word for it and call it he truth because I doubt anyone that's around you really knows for sure. Read many different sources and ask many questions and have fun. Beware of people who tell you they know something as fact rather than opinion.

fonesolo,

Welcome to the forum.

I have been trying to project since 12/08 and have had much success. I am not where I want to be yet and I don't have total control over various aspects of the skill but from what I can tell when I project, it's very real.

I normally have the sense of motion, sight, touch and hearing. I usually don't smell anything. I normally have my full waking consciousness and can think very clear and know my name, the names of friends and family and I know why I came and that my body is in bed asleep. I can logically think about what I want to do and where i want to go and I have my emotions.

I mean in what respect would it not be real? Even if it was a dream, that's real. To say that the Astral Projection experience is not real would mean that I would have to say that waking life is not real.

I think that a better question to ask is what the heck is Astral Projection rather than asking if it's real.

QuoteSo how you know your orgone field is being pulsed at specific frequencies? how do you know your brainwaves are synced up with them? I mean you find yourself becoming very mediative or something? so during this process do you set your intention towards what you want done? such as the plants and/or aid with inducing astral projection? sorry about so many Q's.

I start by using a multimeter to set the frequencies and I can tell that my orgone field is pulsing at different frequencies based on how I feel. The best way to "prove" this to yourself is to set the frequency at 0.5 HZ one day and then something like 300 HZ the next day. You will notice that on day one you feel relaxed on the verge of falling asleep all day and then on day two you will feel like you are busted at the seems with energy. Different frequencies create different effects some of which are overlapping. Do a Google search for brain frequencies and you will learn all about it. Here's one random link I found HERE.

Regarding intention, these machines come with a huge manual which provide multiple techniques for setting intent and manifestation. There are also entire books written on the subject. I suggest reading the manual for one of these devices or making a visit to your local metaphysical bookstore for literature. I don't have permission to give out the link to the manuals so please contact Karl at hscti.com.

You may also want to try the transfer test on http://www.rrr.bz/ by clicking on "Click Here and you will receive your FREE TEST Chi Card by e-mail." You will receive a "test" chi card via e-mail that is linked to a chi generator so that you can perform some short experiments and "feel" the chi / prana.

QuoteYes, look up 'tactile imaging'.

CFTraveler, I don't ask for advice very often but I need help with 'tactile imaging'. I started reading Astral Dynamics a few months ago and got to the section on tactile imaging and hit a wall. The book basically states that the entire foundation of the book is based on T.I. and well I am failing miserably at it.

I am solid in my visualization skills and can pretty much walk around my house in real time in my mind however when I apply tactile imaging techniques nothing happens. I generally go outside into my garden at night out under the stars and relax. Then I follow the steps in the book and visualize stirring my thumb chackra with a chopstick. I have tried this at least 100 times on each hand and absolutely nothing. What am I doing wrong?  I find the book very interesting and would like to continue reading it, but I can't seem to get anything out of T.I. and will not move forward until I do.

I am not sure where mainstream science stands. I mean I find much of "known" science interesting however it annoys me how many scientists quickly dismiss anything that doesn't easily fit any known laws.

I generally use it to manifest change in my life and to help my plants grow bigger and healthier. With my Rad5 I use the precision tuners to pulse my orgone field at specific frequencies so that my brainwaves will sync up with them and guide brain activity into a specific state. I used to do the same thing with binaural beats but I can now achieve the same result with no headphones across any distance.

I can feel the chi with both generators that I have. If I hold my hand in front of the pipe when my body is not saturated I can feel a cold breeze against my hand. It feels kind of like holding my hand close to a balloon that's charged with static electricity but somewhat different.

The thing about this is, to actually believe this to be true you must experiment for yourself because things like this are hard to swallow. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself.

Check out http://www.hscti.net/

I have been using the Rad5 and the Performer and have had some good results. I am still learning about chi generators, but very interesting stuff.

QuoteThat is true, but only to a point. The Hindus (and others) have known about this for thousands of years.

Yeah, it's been around, but kinda in the same sense as people 20,000 years ago would looks up at the sky and see stars and wonder just what the heck they were looking at. When I say cutting edge, I mean that more people are getting involved in AP all around the world and I imagine that in few decades people may have a true understanding of the Chakras.

I think the internet and the age of information may have a lot to do with is, not just with AP but with many things.

I think the fundamental issue here is that people who listen to what others say generally listen to what other people say. People need to learn to think for themselves or what ends up happening is that they just adopt another person or group's opinion instead of forming their own.

For example a person is born into christianity and excepts it because that's what they were told. One day something catches there eye but it doesn't fit into the belief system they are in (the belief system that someone else came up with). They soon realize that they must find a new belief system so they start searching for yet another belief system that someone else thought up.

I think it's OK to learn from cookie cutter belief systems but a bad idea to adopt such a belief system if you are seriously looking for answers.. Not to say nothing is gained by following a premade belief because good does come from them.

Greytraveller,

This is cutting edge stuff. Give it time.

QuoteThose travel times in tunnels seem to be very long. How did you manage to keep lucid during these times ?

They were long and the entire time I was just waiting to wake up. Every travel attempt in the past has failed up until this experience so I had my fingers crossed each time as I traveled through the tunnels. There is some reason beyond my comprehension that I didn't wake up. Perhaps I am just getting better, who knows.

Beware any person or group that makes blanket statements about anything.

Hi forynav,

I am 7 months new to AP and I have had a few OBEs per say and vibrations were always just a symptom to me. This is most likely an incorrect way of looking at things though. I have been reading Astral Dynamics and it seems that with T.I. one can activate chakras and cause vibrations in different areas of the body, however I can't share anything more than this because I have never successfully activated my chakras using his methods and refuse to read any more of his book until I do.  He states that his entire book is build upon Tactile Imaging (T.I).

You know, I would be grateful if someone on this forum could shed some light on tactile imaging. I have been trying to activate my thumb chackra for months now with no success. This is basically the very first energy work exercise and i am failing miserably.

Regarding what vibrations feel like, they may feel different to different people but to me it kinda feels like when you hum.

UmmaGumma, I tend to agree that it might be a waste of time, however if someone is good enough at entering a trance and then projecting into the RTZ, it seems like it should be easy enough to prove. Then again people would most likely blow it off as some cheap magicians trick or something.

It really boils down to proving it to yourself and then don't stress about the others. Has James Randi even tried to AP himself is the question we should be asking?

I mean proving it to someone else serves no purpose other than to put the human race on a evolutionary path worth being on. :), but I doubt I will be able to make a difference by showing others what I can do (the magician trick thing above). Instead it might be more productive to simply motivate people to try for themselves but this would require a serious change in belief systems. I live in the U.S. and a problem that I see around me are people who are brainwashed by either science or religion. I am lucky that I live in Austin and people here actually question things, but out of the other 17 states I have been in most people gravitate to one or the other and rarely ask questions, think outside the box or step outside their comfort level.

Maybe that should be a new goal of mine, to travel around the world and question everything and be a motivational speaker on AP.

+Explorer+, I have Lucidology 101 and 102. I'm assuming you watched 101 already based on the WBTB int he subject line. I found 102 to be very useful as it teaches some visualization techniques that I have not seen anywhere else. It kinda builds on 101.

Good luck with it all.

Maybe it was too much who knows for sure. I have pretty erratic sleep patterns, I only wish that my internal clock was so precise. I am up programming till 2 AM some nights and then in bed at 10 PM most of the time. Then my daughter wakes me up at different times and on top of that I carry a blackberry for work and must respond to site issues late at night too.

I remember one night it was around 4 AM and my daughter had just climbed into bed and was rolling over and knocking into me and I was thinking to myself that I would never project again and then within the next 15 minutes I was projectiing. So far I have found no consistent pattern to it all.

I bet my focus would be fantastic without distractions.

+Explorer+, based on your initial post it seems like you have only tried the 9 PM and then up at 3 AM technique once. I would suggest at least trying it for a couple of weeks before drawing any conclusions and then adjust sleep accordingly.
#66
Do you have any artistic ability? Perhaps you can draw what you saw.
#67
T.L., I am not so sure about the 3 hours of sleep suggestion. Perhaps I am odd, but I go to bed around 10 PM and always have successful projections around 5 - 7 AM after waking up and then going back to bed.
#68
Sounds like a great experience T.L., why would you not want it to happen again?
#69
The heart thing happened to me too when I first started trying to project back in December. I think it was because I was trying to hard and was not deeply relaxed. That stage lasted about a week and it never happened again.

I listen to binaural beats to relax most of the time, and I turn a box fan on high to drown out all distractions except my 3 year old that likes to kick me in my sleep.

Last night I went to bed at 12:30 AM with a orgone transfer sitting above my head linked to my RAD 5 which was pulsing my orgone field at 63 HZ. I didn't have much trouble falling asleep and was snoring in 10 minutes or less.

I don't remember the dreams I had early into the night however at what seemed about 4 AM I had a very vivid dream of being on a passenger jet plane, sitting in the cockpit while the pilot was flying too low at takeoff. There was a fleeting moment of fear when I noticed that he wasn't going to clear the house in front of us and then I was  suddenly standing out in front of the house with an odd feeling that my body was somewhere else injured leaving my soul standing in front of this house. The rest of the dream was spent looking for my body. I seemed to be half lucid through this entire dream and I ended up meeting this girl that was helping me out in some shelter type place for souls that were temporarily out of body due to violent life threatening injuries. The people running the place seemed to be very rude and cruel and kept speaking in a language I didn't understand.

I was still with this girl later in the dream. We were hanging out at a swimming pool after sneaking out of the shelter when I suddenly woke up in sleep paralysis and sensed a threatening presence beside me. This was odd to me because I knew that nothing should be able to harm me so I turned 90 degrees and realized that presence was my cat.

The room I was in was not my current room. I was in my childhood room, or at least that's what my double was seeing. With a forceful will I demanded myself out out of body. I thought I woke myself up at first but then realized I had transitioned to out of body. I didn't think about where my physical body was at this point.

The first thing I noticed was that some extremely cruel thoughts were flowing through me. I picked up my cat and threw her into the closet and violently closed the door. I then felt my thoughts normalizing and my waking life clarity locked in and I actually felt bad for throwing the cat into the closet so I let her go. I wonder if this really was my cat and if she was perceiving the same thing?

I remembered that in my previous out of body experiences I was unable to travel to different places and that irritated me so I tried a technique that I read in Monroe's first book. He was able travel to a person's location by thinking about their personality and leaning his body in the direction he thought they were relative to where he was.

Well... I tried his technique and it seemed to work very well. The only difference was that I used the send button on my blackberry wireless device instead of leaning :). I may not have actually found who I was looking for but I did travel to at least 15 different places this time, of which only about 4 I can actually remember. The other 11 I know happened because I committed to memory during the experience that I had visited 15 places but would most likely not remember them all.

I used to work with a guy who was always poking fun at me for experimenting with astral projection so he was my first target. I thought about him and then hit the send button. I suddenly felt my body moving rapidly into darkness. The feeling of motion in one direction continued and in front of me I could see psychedelic fractal type patterns forming into circles which then morphed into colorful wormholes that my form was sucked into. This continued for 5 minutes and then I found myself walking down the street in front of my childhood home. I found myself thinking about the environment around me as I normally do, questioning the reality of the situation. It's a very odd feeling in that I know I'm not awake but at the same time the trees, the street and everything around me is just as viable as waking life. The only difference is that I know that I am not in waking life.

I proceeded to walk to the house I grew up in and guy I sought was inside on a computer. When I approached he noticed me and looked out the window of my mom and dad's old room and told me that he saw me. This was interesting because it seems unlikely that it was actually him, so I conclude that my mind must have been creating the entire thing. Another possibility might be that it was him but my perception was way off and my mind was filling in the gaps the best it could and perhaps with time my perception will get better. I walked through the wall of the house and stuck my hand through the monitor screen and my hand tingled when I did. I told him I would see him later and focused my attention on travelling to someone else that I currently work with.

I hit the send button again and I felt the movement again just like before. The same colorful patterns appeared and I was travelling for what seemed like about 10 minutes and I ended up in an unfamiliar house at Christmas time. There were several kids opening gifts and they seemed to see me and were talking to me. I don't remember what they were saying but I did tell one of them to remember the moment. I lost interest with this location and decided to try a validation for a member of the astral pulse.

I hit the send button on the blackberry and the movement and color were present. This time I had the sensation that the area around the patterns of color was enormous. I was traveled for several minutes and then faded into a place that seemed to be on the Australian coast line. The only reason I say this is because I appeared in a group of people under this tent like pavilian and they all had Australian accents. They seemed to be filming some sort of recreation of a historical event. I spoke to several of the people and they seemed to be making fun of me somehow, although I forget exactly what they were saying. We moved away from the tent and into a set with a bunch of buildings and this is where I saw the movie cameras and I definitely knew they were filming something. I wish I understood how this event taking place in Australia linked to the person i was seeking to validate for. It really doesn't make much sense to me and I guess I will never know because while there I had this overwhelming urge to travel to an orgy.

I hit the send button again and went through the same patterns as before and ended up in a room of several people having sex. I will not go into details but it was very graphic and I was very tempted. I was there for about a few minutes at most and started willing myself to wake up. Within about 5 seconds I actually felt my self transition into my bed at home in waking life. Once again I chicken out on the orgy scene.

I wish I could remember all of the other places I went but I am grateful recalled at least some of it. Every time I would travel to another location I would be thinking in the back of my mind that the attempt was going to wake me up from the experience like in the past when I tried, but for some reason it worked this time.

There are many aspects of this experience that makes me think that it was just a dream but at the same time I had full waking conscious with all of my waking memories and logic present. I knew my name and the names of the people in waking life that I was attempting to travel to or validate for. I must accept a shattered view of reality if I consider the experience an just a dream because the thoughts and statements of others in the experience were completely random and foriegn to me just as they are in waking life. I can never be sure that anything I experience is not just a creation of my mind. I also knew I was sleeping and was even fearing that I would wake up or lose the experience somehow.

When I woke up it took me 15 minutes to re-associate myself to reality due to the clarity and realness of the experience.

I would be interested in hearing feedback from others on this one.

I not so sure I buy into a creator, but if you think so that's great.

To me it seems more logical that humans don't have the mental capacity to understand the nature of the universe, including whether or not something created us and has control over us in some hierarchical system
#72
QuoteThis leads me to believe that astral projection is not reproducable in a consistent and systematic manner and is rarely taking place in the real timezone.

I could be either dead wrong, dead right to dead in between. I would just like to see someone get some credit every once in a while, that's all. I see an evolutionary path here, but until people start seriously considering paranormal stuff as being real and legit, here we will remain stuck in the stone age.
#73
Regarding the statement about the universe / god / whatever stopping someone from projecting or advancing spiritually. Have you had experienced a situation where this happened? When it happened did this entity announce that it was blocking your attempt and that it was god? Once again, what if  hypothetically I was very advanced at AP and I blocked your attempt and told you I was god? Would you believe me? Not that I even know if blocking you is possible, but what if?

I have heard some people say that we are all just small parts of god and if this is true your statement would simply mean that the only thing stopping a person is the person trying.
#74
Honestly I find myself calling it the universe, however that's a bad habit I need to break because that seems to have several different meanings based on who i'm talking too.

I try to stay neutral when it comes to these type things because honestly I don't like mixing my beliefs with advice because I know that others most likely will not share my beliefs that can't be proven either. That's what i meant.
#75
Right, which is why it's called "false". Because one didn't actually wake up.
