I guess you could activate your sight by imagining something, then 'stepping' into it. That's something I would try. :)

As for realising you're dreaming and entering the state, I've actually done that SO MANY TIMES in the time i have tried AP it's ridiculous. There was a time where I was running at full speed towards a yellow wall to get to some guy I was chasing (Don't know who it was though) then when I jumped up... the thought of OBE crossed my mind, and I instantly blacked out and vibrated like an idiot for a few seconds... :D

Thanks for your reply. You're raising interesting points. I don't know neither what makes us experience either phasing or vibrations.

Phasing is way more easier because it doesn't involve the physical body. When I have the pictures I just imagine touching what I see. As you said, it's only mental. I don't have to move or think about anything physically related. It's a feeling, a will to touch - I use the sense of touch - what I see and automatically I'm there.

Vibrations are more challenging because only using mental affirmations doesn't work (so far). Therefore when feeling the vibrations, I stated "clarity now" and couldn't see, "I'm teleporting [name of the place] and it didn't work neither, "I'm floating" and nope didn't work neither.

So I'm there, vibrating like an idiot and not knowing what to do. When I try to move, my body moves and all is over ; when I do nothing, they fade out. This is annoying. I've been told to imagine some spheres to some specific points around my body and that will allow me to exit. Thought process must be that doing so I 'throw' my counsciousness is various parts in the space and that will lead my mind to project. Have to try, can't say if this work. Also been said to focus on the part of my body which seems to vibrate the most so that the vibrations increase in all my body, spreading out. Have to try this as well.

How's about imagining yourself floating upwards, rather than an affirmation? I was going to try that myself, but ever since winter hit where I am, the cold's completely nullified any sort of technique I had... :( Anyway, good luck getting out again. :)

Re, I dont know the physical details. I know I experience parts of my mind tunnelling through various strange shapes which parts of are attached the the world we can see and other parts are a space of their own. I call these "webs of entanglement". They decay slowly if not used, or maybe they are lost somewhere, but generally they can be stable for months at least. When things move past the physical objects they're connected to, I will know about it and can instantly explore into those parts of the web. I can be many places at once this way.

About the parts of physics you mentioned, I dont know those kind of details.

Robert Baird, I'm trying to stay a scientist in both metaphysics and the world around us. We should not believe or disbelieve anything without reason, even if the only reason we have is statistical.

As a scientist, I am working on a way to measure and influence these kind of things by networking minds together as organized through statistics and advanced math in what will appear to be a game many people play through the internet. Games are the best way to get to peoples subconscious minds, which I hope to synchronize and tune in many dimensions together.
Feel free to use mine then while I play online. ;) Interesting how it's possible to sync gamer's minds together like that.

Along those lines, what would be a good use for such a network?

One dedicated fanboy to one heck of an SP!

And you know... I am willing to bet someone who's played Slender will have had slenderman in their room at some point... :D

I am a beginner to AP and OBE. there have been many attempts for me to separate with only little success so far. About a month ago I was able to get my arms out and my head to raise and look down at my arms. It was my first half success I believe. As I attempted to fully separate I felt as if something was holding me down inside my body, like someone or simething was restraining me. As I realized this I became frustrated and lost focus. My first successful conscious separation happened as my dream became lucid one night and became aware yet still asleep. I felt the urge to go to the bathroom and within an instant I was there in the bathroom with the odd feeling that something was off. And as I realized what happened I was back in my body. I was feeling residual vibrations afterwards. So my first success was by accident. Funny how that worked out.

I can still remember that odd feeling as if I split in two I felt weightless and I also felt my physical body at the same time and as I stood in the bathroom I felt my body still laying in bed. As soon as I thought of my body I was back in bed. I got up to go and I had the feeling of deja vu.It was a breakthrough for me yet at the same time funny as hell as I laughed at the fact that my first experience was to the bathroom of all places I could've gone.
Wow... There's one heck of an exit! :D Ironically, I was fully aware of needing to go to the bathroom in my first projection. (I was somewhere else REALLY FAR from my house though) It wasn't how I exited though!

My first AP happened from a dream also! :) Although in my case, I was in my house, possibly in a plane slightly higher than the RTZ, but I don't know otherwise. And I had no issues falling out of the sky; I just kept flyin'! :)

Anyway, enough about me... :D If I ever get out again, I will investigate this place myself, it sure sounds interesting! Who knows, my first challenge could be there! (I might also see you there if we do it at the same time)

Another thing as well; for the record, I definitely had a body in my first AP; it was nothing special though, just my normal wiry form. ;)

In-ter-esting... Wish I could get to that level of awareness!

I have come close to getting out myself with an astral awareness, but the cold's hampered me somewhat lately... :D

With the TV turning on bit... that sounds like you've accidentally developed some sort of telekinesis. :/ I otherwise have no idea what it could be...

...Well, other than that this weird dark thing you mention; quite frankly, once you do confront it with absolutely NO fear whatsoever, if it's a manifestation of your fear, it should either vanish or bugger off. ;) I learned to control my fear ages ago, and had absolutely no problem getting to V-state after that. (The cold weather where I am has basically shut down my ability to lately though...) And that could also explain why I haven't run into anything yet!

@Lumaza:
It is true that this guy could have an unhealthy sign causing this, but IMO, all it looks like is that he had a really bad nightmare and something's stuck in this head ever since. If he's able to confront this creature, maybe it will go away, I don't know. What I was told was that any sort of negative being should be simply defeated by denying his existence.

Anyway, that was why I posted my answer, if you're wondering. :D

I was thinking of a similar thing a couple of days ago, only that I was more thinking of "warping" time so that it appears YOU are doing things faster or slower than those around you. For those who saw the last X-Men movie (Days of Future Past) I was thinking of how that superfast guy's perception of time is almost slowed to a stop because of how fast he's going, and he's likewise able to move bullets with his hands like they're little toys.

I might as well make myself the first poster to this topic! :) Anyway, I've been having a few issues trying to AP again (I couldn't really do it to begin with, but I got awfully close a couple of times!) and most of those issues has been due to the cold weather where I am.

But this one here I can give a go tonight and report back... Could even get me out first pop! :) If I can at least get to V-state again, I will be thanking you! :)

Well I tell you what, I will recount a dream I had two or three years ago about what seemed to be aliens of some kind. (I actually do 3D modelling as a hobby, and decided to try and recreate one of them in 3D for a game! :))

Anyway, here's what I saw:

I was for some reason servicing a powerline with my friends, when some of my friends started to run away! I was wondering why they were running, when I turned around and saw a MASSIVE starship descending down into the clouds!

It was quite possibly the most amazing piece of tech I had ever seen in a dream of mine, it was almost a huge city sitting on a powered hull (I modelled this behemoth too) and... I didn't have much time to look at the rest of it, because after a few moments of staring at the building's windows, some of them flickered, and everything went black.

Next thing I knew, I was inside some sort of corridor. I walked round towards a set of chairs, when i saw that one of my friends, in one of the chairs drinking Coke, was there (Perhaps the aliens grabbed some of our drinks down on Earth before leaving? :D) I then got taken in by one fo the aliens, and told that I was to see their planet. All I could guess is that these guys wanted to be allies of some sort.

I then went deeper into the ship as instructed, and came out of the bottom, onto what looked like Tatooine from Star Wars (or even mars? point being, the blue sky was unusual) that was where I walked with them for a bit... and woke up. :D

And there's my two cents. And for the record, I was not in lucid awareness, just a normal dream, with the only exception being the vividness in some places!

Hey guys. :) I've returned here to ask something, But before I begin, I will tell of what happened first:

It happened today; as I was walking out of the school grounds, I started to get a pulling feeling in my lower back. after a while fo this (about 5 seconds) I wondered what it was, so i decided to walk back again until the feeling vanished, And it took me to one of the trees there; I found nothing, so I walked back the way I came out of school, and it didn't happen again.

So I ask; what was that tug?

I find I get close to getting out by simply heading to bed early, and waking up early. (Using an alarm can be useful) Then you do something for about 15 minutes, then head back and make your attempt. Has worked for me flawlessly several times! :)

QuoteI want to try teleporting. Maybe not as advanced as that!  Has anyone got a few tips for doing this?
Well, if you mean teleporting out of your house to somewhere else, that I have heard takes a single thought and you're there. ;)

On the other hand though, if you mean actually teleporting objects around you, then it's a matter of shifting EVERY vibration that makes up, say, a chair, then shift that block of vibrations somewhere else. I personally would think that be the case, I otherwise have no idea.

EDIT: Corrected them typos... :D

Well, in that case, with that terrific mind of his, I wonder what Mr. Hawking would create in the astral plane! :) And you know, some of the disabled may even have the ability of AP to make up for what they can't do on the astral plane from birth. (Well, all of us have it from birth, i was meaning being able to retain it as one grows up) Perhaps one day, perhaps the day that "the end of days" comes, we get to see all the accomplished souls work toghether to create something truly amazing.

A little side-joke: for those who have played deadpool, (I've seen someone at school play it) that idiot could probably recall all of this deaths... ;)

Interesting question.
If we take on board the age old words of 'your guides are always with you and will guide you...'
Its quite possible, but, you could argue about a couple in a very poor relationship. Taking the above into consideration, is a poor relationship a hardship you NEED to learn from? If so then perhaps being guided is for the greater good ( I'm sure it is) rather than the wants of the individuals circumstances.
An answer will always be two ways depending upon your perception.
If you had the correct perceptive judgement required ( no one does), the question wouldn't be asked in the first place.

Look deeper within yourself and see of you can find the answer.
Well, taking into consideration some of the darker reaons to be with someone, (only really taking this from what I have observed... :D) you could also argue that some of the poorer couples have no connection to their guides at all... :D This is probably the case for nearly every failed marriage, but again, I am not to judge! :)

It is kind of like when nothing is wrong and everything seems to be going okay. There isn't a reason in the world why you shouldn't be A-Okay. But you still can't help but to feel like everything is falling apart and making a huge mess. It is how it feels when you know your heart is telling you to do something and you don't do it anyway. Now imagine life being full of only that. That is just one person's experience,  though.
I find my life's been full of a similar predicament lately (Hopefully, I can solve it soon...) although in my case, its more a matter of my heart telling me to do something, but although i can do it, it just doesn't feel like a good idea at the time... :D

Welp, now I have gone and done it... And dived into learning about how the "Human Condition," world peace, and visual art relate to each other.  (It's for a school assessment) And I ran into this: http://www.worldtransformation.com/freedom-expanded-book2-what-exactly-is-the-human-condition

What this link is? A simple answer to what the human condition is, and why humans can't usually face it. To be honest, I haven't really run into such issues until now myself, and quite frankly, reading this article really changed my view for the better.

Anyway, just a few questions related to this amazing article that I set for myself to discover in my own time... Is it possible to somehow "build" some sort of world or something in the astral that could help others, and base it on some meaning you got from some artwork? And also, would us "hedgehogs" (my term for those united with the astral, in addition to being able to run super fast and do basic parkour! :D) be either protected from this or be able to combat certain life issues easier? I can definitely say that meditation helps, it's what activated my third eye's electrical energy sensations I get all the time now. :/

Oh, and one more thing; i am almost able to AP properly with full awareness! Once this happens, I will be able to do a bit more for this forum. Possibly... depends on what I run into during future NP travels. ;) Anyway, if you wish to give your view of the link's information, go ahead, I like seeing other people's opinions on this sort of thing. :)

...And I may be about to find mine, depends on whether I get out tonight or not. Who knows what spiritual thing is waiting for you to wake up? :)

Wish I could help. the least I can do is learn AP, and get out there when I can to do whatever is thrown at me. ;)

QuoteSince I can't completely turn my thoughts off, I would decide to play with them. But with the perspective of my thoughts being outside of me. what I would do is, whenever I get a thought I would try to visualize it. As in I would try to find an image equilavent of a thought. I did that for a while until it seemed that the images were having a life of it's own. I was able to be distracted in the necessary way to enter V-state. I will refine this simple method by practicing today.
I find my brain does that on it's own, and it is usually right before the vibes hit. :D

QuoteOne of my attempts I tried (yesterday) was around 3:00 am. After some hours of sleep. One thing I totally noticed when trying to project was that maintaining focus was a bit harder than during the daytime. IT felt like there was fog in my brain. So, dear future self, next time you decide to practice during the very early morning, consider waking your mind up a bit.
One way t do that in my case? I simply play something like ten super smash bros. matches for 15 mins! That almost always works a charm for me. :)

Interesting. :) (That would have to be the second post I have made to day that begins with that... :D)

Once I really start AP'ing, I wonder what tasks will be in store for my little hedgehog self... ;) Hopefully tonight, I can get out. (I came awfully close a few nights ago, but waited too long and stuffed it... :D)

Interesting. I am yet to acieve a full blown projection myself, but of the couple of little experiences I have had, I found that the sliding glass door in the NP was always open for some reason. (The screen door I usually just passed through. :D)
#73
Dude, it seems you have gotten closer than I did! :) (I use the same technique, albeit with a few modifications... :D) I don't get the pressed down feeling though, what happens to me is that I will start seeing or hearing random things, then my ears start vibrating as if a really strong wind (or heartbeat? I have no idea, it's sort of like an intensified version of the sound you hear when yawning) was hitting my ears. And that night, I was able to open my eyes and look around. Whether it was my physical eyes or my NP ones though, I have no idea.

I will just echo the points made by Bluefirephoenix and floriferous.

You only need to protect yourself if you believe you need it.
Yep! :) And like I said above, there really is nothing at the end of the bed; I have seen it first-hand! :)

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm sure I was very close and the next time I will take it further. I'm quite aware that the vibrations are nothing to be worried about, but they were strong. In fact, a couple of times I had to focus on my breathing because of it. I wasn't scared or worried, but with this being the first time and the vibrations lasting for what seemed like 5 minutes it was tiring. I'll be better prepared next time.

In the next morning or two I will have a timer set to quickly chirp every 4 minutes. Using that I should be able to wake up just enough so that I can get back to that state.
I find I can set an 'internal alarm' and wake myself up after a few hours easily! :) I can also turn the ability off, so I sleep normally. I find though that the alarm fails if I go to bed too late also. I wonder why... ;)
