The way I step into an astral screen is to focus on something inside the scene, preferably not 'in front', and let myself be sucked in.  Imagine you're teetering on a precipice and the scene is it- you focus on something on the 'bottom' (back) and let 'gravity' do the work.
For example, once I phased into a room that had a staircase and a door in the back.  I felt myself be pulled in and out of the screen.  I wanted in, so I focused on the top part of the stairs (which is farther back than the landing, which was directly in front of me) and 'looked' into the doorframe, and I 'fell' upwards and into the screen.

It's the same for me, when I look at the whole screen, I zoom in and out and sometimes lose the screen. But when I choose something to focus on, like a tree or a door of a house, then I get pulled in.

So you can try both methods and see which one works the best for you.  :-)

Personally I don't charge my chakras, but I found this link, perhaps you can use it.

Why does this not moving when waking up thing seem to work? I just can't get my head round why this would be an effective method.
I think it is because when you wake up and feel very sleepy, the state you're in is very similar to -mind awake body asleep- and thus ideal to leave your body. Also usually I wake up from a dream, which is also a non-physical experience so everything is still in the right state to leave your body again and this time with your waking awareness.

Hi Grey,

QuoteOnce I went over two years with only 1 OBE!
That's bad!

QuoteIt seems quite obvious that you ended up in outer space though maybe it was an astral counterpart of space and not physical space. Actual physical stars exploding (going nova) are actually quite rare so if it was physical space then you probably saw a planet blow up.
I don't know if it was physical or astral space, but it's not that important for me, as long as I am there!  :-D

QuoteI am curious if at any time during the OBE you attempted to travel to a particular place? Or were you content to zoom about in space. Personally I would have been quite happy to stay in outer space visiting star systems and what not.
No, it never crossed my mind, except when I wanted to go to that lighter area, but other than that I just wanted to fly on and on. I was just very happy to be flying and feeling free!  :-)

Hello laroshx! Nice to meet you and welcome to the Astral Pulse!

I also see 11:11 a lot, and also 22:22. With Google you can find a lot of information about these numbers.
Here is one link I have found for you but there are many; http://www.1111spiritguardians.com/

I would say that a WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) is the same as a phasing, it's induced the same way.

QuoteI would like to hear about any experience anyone has had with this sort of thing.
I met a former friend when I was having a lucid dream last year, twice. She died several years ago, and she told me that she had visited me twice. I said to her that she was mistaken, because she never visited my house. But the next morning I knew she meant she had visited me twice after she passed on, in the house where I live now. In the dream I didn't have enough awareness to know that.
In the second LD she gave me something that I had to give to someone else, but I forgot completely what it was after I woke up.  :|
So in both cases she contacted me, I was quite happy to see her.

:-D At last I have had an OBE again. I began to think I couldn't do it anymore because the one before this one was in October 2010! It wasn't a spontaneous one like many of my OBE's, I used the indirect method. Unfortunately when I woke up afterwards I forgot the whole second part,  I just felt the memory slipping away. Luckily I remembered the first part very well. Here it is:

I woke up and felt that I was still very sleepy, that's the sign for me to try the indirect method. So I didn't move and started to visualize that I was floating out of my body, just a few inches above and then down again. Every next time I floated a bit higher, and when I was about one foot above my body, I floated down and let myself sink through the bed. Then I shot into space with a huge speed. It was completely dark around me and I was thinking:" Hey I'm flying through the void." After a while I began to see lighter bits and colours and I flew through layers with lights and colours, higher and higher.

Then I saw a lighter spot near me and I flew towards it, but it seemed to be somewhere else when I was closer to it.  Then I changed direction too and tried again, but it kept happening so I let that go. I flew further with high speed and saw a huge star or planet that exploded. The debris of it came towards me and I felt it! Not badly, but it was the first time I felt something like that, like small pebbles hitting me. I immediately flew away, faster than the debris so I was safe. After that I can only remember that I was thinking that it was quite a long experience, longer than my previous ones. The flying part felt like approx. 10 minutes.

Thank you for reading, comments and questions are welcome.  :-)

Hi ligiahag, you are welcome to start your own thread instead of using this one.
But anyway, welcome to the Astral Pulse.  :-)

They can last from 1 second to very long. My longest one felt like approx 15 minutes but I know they can last much longer.  :-)
