I don't want to sound pessimistic or degrading, but maybe the source for this forum should be rewritten.  I know some people who could greatly improve the code.  The only differences the lay user would see are better compatibility with other browsers and faster loading times.  This might be more attractive serverside also, as the file sizes would be smaller.  Furthermore, the people I know are great at designing sites that are easily modified and updated.  The top person I'm thinking of is a friend of mine, Eric.  He has designed a forum before.  We wouldn't have to worry about the forum going down at all, for Eric could design the new forum while this one is still running, then seamlessly move to the new one.  Anyway, if you and/or Robert Bruce are interested, Just PM me and I'll talk to some people.  If you are already taking care of it, then thanks!

I've put a few days of thought into your odd encounter, and I'm really still perplexed about it.  However, if you have any proficiency in AP, then you could try projecting directly to an astral guide or higher spirit.  Either would give you some great insight.  Good luck!

Well Wronski Feint (creative name - you don't read Harry Potter do you?), according to the experts we are stuck within three spacial dimensions.  This is almost a direct statement of string theory (actually M-theory, but who cares about technicality?).  Actually, I am assuming that there are no tears already present in spacetime.  So if you do want to, just go looking for wormholes.  Have fun and good luck. I too am not an OBE expert; however, I believe that the tingling sensation in your hands is from stimulating your energy body.  It just so happens your hands are a major inlet for energy, and trying to OBE stimulates energy intake.  Anyway, if you are serious about astral projection, you would love Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics.  This is the most revolutionary book on astral projection I have seen; you can order it on www.amazon.com for not much money.  Good luck!

If you haven't already, I would highly recommend reading Astral Dyamics; that would help with NEW tremendously.  Anyway, NEW really isn't about tricking your brain about anything; in fact Robert Bruce says that your energy body is being stimulated by NEW, which in turn stimulates nerves et cetera.  I would keep it up.

Back to your lack of dreams, my father and I have both found that if we eat bananas before we go to bed, we will have vivid dreams (usually wierd ones).  This probably has to do with the potassium content in the banana.  Anyway, I would stick to NEW.  E-mail Robert Bruce if you are having more trouble with it.  Good luck!

This is a tricky aspect of NEW; Robert Bruce even mentioned that it was difficult to explain.  Anyway, there is really nothing wrong you are doing; you are doing energy work.  However, it would help you out if you could master doing NEW with your eyes closed.  The thing you did with the pen was perfect; do this again, but this time close you eyes while doing this and clear your mind.  When you clear your mind, be sure to erase all mental images from your mind.  The key to this is focusing just on the feeling of the pen tracing a path on your leg.  It's similar to remembering the feeling of being tickled, don't visualize but just relive the scenario.  Do the same thing with NEW: try to recreate the feeling of the pen tracing a path on your leg.  Keep in mind that you might not feel anything at first.  I have had trouble with visualization too.  Just hang in there.  Any time you visualize, just push the image out of your mind; eventually you will train your mind to not visualize.  Remember though, this will take time.

Hyperblu, try doing NEW.  I used to be like you: I would never remember my dreams.  However, I started NEW and my dream activity increased after about three days of doing RJ's techniques.  I kept this up for about two weeks, and by then I would remember up to four dreams a night!  Anyway, this worked for me; it's worth a try.  Also, after I started remembering dreams, I did write them down daily.  The advice already posted on this thread is invaluable.  NEW will just give you a kickstart; then you can implement the other stuff.  Tell us how it goes!

I myself feel that astral projection et cetera can actually strengthen a relationship with Him.  In fact, the LORD actually led me to these things gradually; I have prayed about it several times, and each time God has send me an unmistakable message that this is right and true.  So have fun and explore.  I too recomend the downloads section of AstralPulse.  However, if the treatises and arcticles peak your interest, I highly recomend buying Robert Jordan's books (especially Astral Dynamics).  You can IM me too if you have any questions or just want to chat; my screen name is Linuxfreak87.  Fly with Christ.

Thanks wisp, that makes a lot of sense.  My friends and I are going through some life-changing stuff right now, etc. etc.; so that would fit.

As for your lessened dream recall, I know that doing NEW hugely increased my dream activity and quite quickly.  Maybe if you can have some lucid dreams, that would help you deal with some of those injuries.  Anyway.  Godspeed and good luck with it.

Hey Rooj, that's a pretty crazy.  That's happened to me once before, but nothing odd happened like the dogs attacking the deer-thing.  Anyway, whenever you actually woke up, were your mom and brother both downstairs, like in the dream?  Were there corellations between the dream world and the real world (complements to Morpheus)?  Basically, I'm wondering if maybe you actually projected into the real time zone, then you witnessed some crazy reality fluxuations.  I'm not sure.  Maybe you projected into the astral instead, each time into slightly different realms.  I'm not sure on that one either.  Oh well, just give me your thoughts on that.

No, ImmuredSoul, I don't think it was a mind trick; I distincly remember thinking, "Wow, that was an odd dream," right as I woke up.  Then about fifteen seconds later, my roommate walked in.  Thanks for the idea though.  I had never heard nor thought of the mind trick thingy.  I'll have to remember that one.  By the way, I do remember feeling dreamy when I recalled the dream, but that is all, no dizziness.
 Hey, twstedrage, has this dream prophecying been apparent all of your life?  I take it you recall your dreams often; even several per night?  I'm kinda curious as to the connection between these dreams and the Akashic Records/Pulse that RJ talks about.

 Great to have you here.  As James S said, this site is designed around Robert Bruce and out of body experiences (OBEs).  I would also highly recommend Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamics.  If that peaks your interest, I would then also highly recommend Psychic Self Defense, also by Robert Bruce.  Basically, all of his books are awesome.  Actually, it would probably be wiser to read the online Treatise on OBE and similar online articles.  Just surf the site.  It's awesome.  Have fun.  By the way, IM me if you have questions or just want to chat (just click on one of the the IM icons by my name - it'll give you my screen name for that IMing client).  Anyway, just let your intuition lead you to the places you go and enjoy yourself.

Wow!  That's dream is... different.  Anyway, if I were you, I would analyze it the way Robert Bruce recommends in Astral Dynamics.  My brain isn't cooperating at three in the morning, so I don't have any suggestions.  I'm interested in what you find out.  If you do analyze it, post what you find out.  Thanks.

I agree with Whitestar; if one person is destroyed and an exact copy is made later or elsewhere, the soul must leave the original body.  Therefore, in essence, the copy is dead; it has no soul.  However, I do want to clear up a point with you, Whitestar.  The conversions of matter to energy are called annihilations; however, that matter's information still remains, transformed into energy.  If one believes String Theory, the strings of the original matter remain, and in the annihilation of that matter, its strings are just forced to change the way they vibrate.  Or in the terms of quantum mechanics, the quantum numbers of the particle were just changed, not erased.  Essentiall, I am just saying (in lots of words) that the information of the particle remains, it's just modified a bit.  Beavis, you do have some excremely valid points; however, Whitestar is talking about destroying an entire body, not just a part of it.  Herein lies the anomaly.  Would the soul "jump" to the newly created body, or would the new body not have a soul?

Addressing the original problem, Nagual, 0.999... is equal to 1 mathematically.  Think of it this way, the difference between 1 and 0.999... is 0.000...1, so the 1 is in the infinite placeholder in the decimal.  In other words 0.000...1 can be written 1/infinity, or more precisely as lim (1/x) as x->infinity.  These each equal zero.  Therefore, the difference between 1 and 0.999... is 0, and by definition, for two numbers to be different, their difference must be greater than 0.  So we can conclude that 1 and 0.999... are the same number, or 0.999...=1.  So, you just stated this in another way; it is not a mathematical anomaly.

P.S.
The reason Edward Wittle unified the five string theories was to keep it alive.  If String Theory was THE theory of the universe, there should not be five of them.  Due to that problem, people began to abandon the string theories.  So, Edward rescued the theory from its potential death.
