Well that sucks ... it sounds like the key to a prolonged OBE is not realizing it until you're done

Hopefully next time will be longer ... but I've really only worked on getting out of body and never really thought much about how to stay there   but I guess that's the next step ... or atleast it is if it wasn't just a fluke and I can figure it out. I seriously have no prior dream (or whatever) recall before sitting on the bed wondering why I everything looked funny.

Now that bit about getting to an OBE state from a lucid dream is really intriguing but I've just never had any luck with it Usually I'll have one or two lucid dreams a month and I have tried to make a transition to an OBE but for me anyways it's never gone beyond a somewhat altered environment. I'm not sure how to describe it other than ya just know it's still a dream even if you are in control

Cool! Typical was what I was hoping for ... I would have just called it an OBE if it wasnt for the twinned ceramic thing that got me questioning it.

I guess I'm a little obsessed with wanting to look at my physical body from an OBE ... when I was very young kindergarten-ish I remember seeing myself face-to-face and still vividly recall wondering if I was the real one. Then when I learned about OBE's I wanted to see if I was my own doppleganger and thought the frst thing that I'd do if/when I OBEd would be to look at my body ... but I guess that kind of blows the whole OBE experience

It's not much compared to other peoples but I'm really excited because I may have finally had an OBE of my own :rolling:

I just suddenly found myself sitting on the edge of my bed but it just didn't feel right it was dark but I could see everything and that just struck me as odd. I have a ceramic candle thing by my bed that I picked up to look at and when I picked it up I saw it in my hand but it was also still on my table (so there appeared to be two of them). Then it hit me that this was an OBE :yikes2: so I turned as quick as I could to see if my body was behind me and that's when I woke up :angry3:

I admit this "may" have been a lucid dream and I do have 1 or 2 a month but this just seemed different to me almost too real for a lucid dream. However, I don't know what to make of the two ceramic things.

I also immediately got up and checked and as far as I can tell the ceramic candle holder wasn't moved. I was really hoping to find it dropped on the floor

Regardless it was a cool experience and if it was an OBE I bypassed any sounds, vibrations, etc. or atleast I have no memory of anything before sitting on the edge of my bed.

It looks like it's just a YaBB forum ... did he shut it down because there was a problem or was he just tired of taking care of it? The main site appears to be fine http://www.newagereseller.com and if someone is on good terms with him it should be relatively simple to port it over to another site.

From the web archive 2 years ago it looks pretty similar to here so if nothing else you guys made a good choice with astralpulse

Diffraction patterns are a dead give away of Dust and water droplets in the air.

It's also difficult to believe "orb" pics when they occur in flash photos especially built in ones. If anyone wants to create really good orb pics just spray some water in front of a camera and take a flash photo. The image will be filled with orbs and if yer camera is decent you'll see the diffration patterns too

Not to be overly critical but wouldn't it be better to just create an mp3 file from a program like Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net then put it in an mp3 player? All you need is a pleasant tone, either something recorded or generated by the program and a lot of silence. Then you could put pleasant sounds in the back, homemade subliminal messages, whatever in the background. You wouldn't need to have your computer on, it's small and compact, and if your player is like mine it will automatically turn off when it's done. Plus with the built in mic you can record your dream if ya want.

And if Adrian is interested I think the best mod for this from phpBB is  [2.0.19] RSS Syndication mod There is one other but this one gives the admin control over which forums have feeds which can be useful.

Oh it's refered to as a "Reverse DNS lookup" where DNS is the acronym for "Domain Name System" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS

You can just querry google for "reverse dns search" sites then enter "astralpulse.com" and you'll get 70.86.145.120

PhpBB forums are a little tricky though because they actually use 2 servers that can be on different computers one for the html querries and one for the MySQL querries ... the IP above is just for the site.

I should warn you though rendering IP addresses is a gateway skill to harder  more addicting internet abilities ... soon you'll be staying up all night hacking .gov servers completely unable to stop yourself  :yikes2:

Uh that's just where the script source came from. Presumably Adrian downloaded the software then installed it on his server.

Well wait a second what is it that makes you think it's faked? I thought it was just a funny out take As far as I could tell the guy was just so into the communication thang that he didn't realize how funny what he was saying was. I mean c'mon "Mary loves Richard" switching to "Mary loves willy" on camera is darn funny but it is not proof the show is faked .... but gads it was funny

Just wanted to say I luved "Pure Rain" :thumbsup:  it was absolutely wonderful I'm on dialup so mp3s take forever to download but I'm really happy I got it and thank you very much for creating and sharing :thumbsup:

Well you certainly don't want to give someone your cold via a blood product   ... but I'm glad you tried and don't worry you'll do it!  

Oh if you don't do a lot of ripping and don't already have your prefered software I'd recommend Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net because it's free and really quite good for all sorts of recordings and even making your own binaural beat recordings with nothing else  

Just be sure that once you've downloaded and installed Audacity you download the "optional" LAME MP3 encoder this will let you "Export" as MP3s.

If you can you should convert them from wave to mp3 it takes a lot less space and people like me on dialup can download them a little bit quicker.

Just remember no aspirin ~48 hours before if you intend to give platelets (aspirin lowers the count) and if you drink a little alcohol afterwards it's amazing how tipsy you can get

Well I go roughly once a month. They always try and schedule the next visit before you leave. The needle used for platelets is actually a little smaller than the typical blood donating needle.

As for the "emotional" aspect ... I don't really think about it when I'm there but I guess I'd describe it as a generally nice thing. I'm not sure why you'd be worried about it being addicting but there are far worse things to be addicted to.

My view is that it's a nice thing that I can do with essentially no cost to me, and I usually go Tuesdays around noon because that's when they get the good sandwiches in

I forget at what point this happens but if nothing else if you donate blood products enough times you eventually get on the "free" list where in the future if you need blood you wont have to pay for it   Since I'm kind of an idiot there's a good chance I'll need my blood back ... so I just think of it as a savings account in my local blood bank

Try it out and if you can handle java try setting up a chat time and topic. If it becomes popular perhaps Adrian would consider adding a nice interconnected chat lik the X7.

I donate platelets and am a prized cow so to speak    ... apparently I just have a high platelet count so I can donate in ~45 minutes. There are different types of machines the one I get put on is a single needle (some are two sticks  ) and they just spin out the platelets then pump what's left back in with a little magnesium citrate. It's really not a big deal, the needle is actually a little smaller than regular blood donation needles and they usually give you a movie to watch    

I give platelets roughly once a month but at certain times they are low and I get called in earlier. My recollection is that you "could" give platelets every 3 days or so if necessary but they try for once every 4 to 6 weeks.

If you have a high platelet count they'll luv you because otherwise it requires 8 pints of blood to produce one unit of platelets.

If you've never given blood before just tell them you are a bit nervous and would really appreciate their best person doing the stick. They will be happy to oblige because they really appreciate what you are doing and they do not want to scare you away so don't be nervous  It really is the gift of life and you'll be really happy once you've done it
