Welcome to Astral Chat! / Frank's virtual classroom

Tombo:
As it stands we dont have an IP for Frank (at least i dont), chances are even if we had one from his last post his IP would have changed by now. He doesnt host his site so you cant retrieve his IP from that. Info on his site can be found here:
http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://www.astralprojectiontruth.com

All newsletters where sent via aweber.com smtp servers, so you wont be able to retrieve IP addy's from them.

A valid IP address would allow you, in most cases, to confirm his location in France (not exact location).

Companies like Paypal wont, and shouldn't, release any private information on users. Even if you had a formal complaint against someone the best you could hope for would be for ebay to go through the relevant authorities keeping you informed. it would require some serious social engineering to retrieve any info off them.

If your really concerned and just have to find out, best place to start is with his address, try to confirm ger's findings contacting people in France. If someone knows where Frank was born you can easily confirm his name etc, as we know his DOB. You can access birth certificates and many other details just by knowing DOB and place of birth.

There are also some easier ways to find information on people over the net... but as they're mostly illegal i dont intend to use or discuss them here.

So maybe, looking at that, it would be best to just wait this one out heh,:D

Has anyone tried sending Frank a written letter? Does he live with anyone? You may be able to contact someone else at the address that could supply you with more information.

QuoteI can say that many people who are both experts in marketing and offering valuable Spiritual services have congratulated me on that page, and wanted to know who wrote it so they could have one too

I point you to the first sentence of my last post here :).

QuoteI have of course received similar comments to those here, but with respect to those people they do not understand marketing.

no, im not a marketing expert, but i am a member of your target audience... so my comments can't be that useless :P.

I also want to clarify that i dont think anyones scamming anyone here. I didnt mean to drag your book into this, i just mentioned the front page comments as an example. Im glad to see you take it as constructive critisism and i wish you continued success with your book. Aslong as people are finding it useful and your happy selling it then its all good :).

Anyways back to Frank, If the astralpulse server logs go far back enough to cover franks last post it should be possible to use his IP back then (aslong as its static) to check whether frank has visited the forums lately. If it was a scam he would most certainly check back here to see what people are saying.

And before i get flamed for that "I DONT THINK HE HAS SCAMMED ANYONE" just want peace of mind for people :D

Souljah333,
Nearly all sites i see trying to sell AP books/CD's etc, look like a scam, not saying they are, they just seem to promise way more then is possible to deliver. The front page of astralpulse for instance:
QuoteHow to effortlessly attract infinite wealth, health and happiness into your life

Discover the real secrets of virtually healing any disease, however serious
Im more interested in the AP, all the other paragraphs added to help sell the book just put me off. (no offence anyone (personal opinion)).

Interesting and somewhat sad point about the health thing also, i really hope its nothing serious.

Anyways, I personally dont believe you have been scammed, I dont think he would purposely take your money and leave after 3 years spent on a great forum like this. I can fully sympathise however with the way you feel, but im sure it'll all be sorted in time.

It would be nice however if an admin in the know... maybe Adrian who has more personal contact with Frank could get in touch with those who have paid money and brief them with a bit more information, just reassure them if needs be (no need to go into detail). Im pretty sure someone must have information on the situation (just named you Adrian because you are listed as DNS admin of Franks site.)

QuoteYour Lion sounds really cool! I wish I could get my mental pictures as clear as this

Ive noticed that when visualising the lion in brighter surroundings, like at work, although the centre of the image is clear, its like looking at a picture in a frame. The frame however is just the random grey noise you get when you close your eyes, and it blurrs and fades into the clear image in the centre.

The island visualisations in comparison were full screen hi-res images. I obtained these layed down in quieter darker surroundings.

QuoteThe funny thing is I can get all kinds of swirly colours/ hypnogogia without even attempting to go the usual route. No mental relaxation, no listening to cd's, etc...I'll just lay there and do something along Franks noticing exercise and it just does it all by itself

Sounds like your on the right track with that. Hypnogogia is a good indicator that your brain is starting to run sleep.exe (so to speak). I find the noticing exercise one of the most useful methods for getting into deep states, you see all kinds of really vivid imagery just by watching and relaxing.
I tend to use what i call a "nose dive into sleep" (posted in dream section, http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20670) This allows me to quickly reach good hypnogogia, although i have to be careful not to overshoot into sleep. From there its noticing onwards.

greatoutdoors,

QuoteAs to clarity, when I get right on the edge of sleep, then my dream mode (for lack of a better word) will kick in and the images I am seeing become crystal clear and life-like. But it's hard as heck to hold that level, because when I start to mentally focus on the clear images, then I start to pull out of the deep level and, poof, I'm back to muddy water, so to speak.

I share your issues, i was always struggling for a way to enter these images, however lately i stumbled across the following:

http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12621

If you scroll to phase 3 you can see the author (who's apparently an accomplished WILD'er) suggests you carry on through these images as before until you get to the sleep paralysis stage. Whether you think he's attaining a WILD or phasing it shouldnt really matter, the outcome is the same.

Best of luck,

>RooJ

Ill certainly try to get there, but sadly i cant promise anything :(.

Good luck all!

Liam,
Although far from qualified, my current thoughts are that f2oc is in fact simply a lucid dream. Wake induced lucid dreams are well known, and the same processes used to induce f2oc have been used for many many years in the induction of WILD's. From descriptions i see no real difference from normal lucid dreams.

QuoteI thought that astral projection was the mind travalling outside of the body and not within itself.

There are still those that believe that way. Lately there has been a split, The older and more traditional mystical approaches vs the onward march of the phasing model. Personaly i take what useful information i can out of each model. As mustardseed put it:

QuoteIf they are all tools (constructs) to describe an experience that seem to have no real definition or explanation, using the parameters of the known universe we all inhabit, would it not stand to reason that the phasing idea is just another construct?

All models are somewhat useful in the fact that they allow you to get results, but form your own opinions on which is more accurate :D.

The methods i use to get to sleep fast (usually 5 - 10 mins):

*Blank my mind, think of nothing for a good 10 seconds.

*imagine my whole body relaxing into the bed.

*imagine falling through a black abyss, just falling deeper and deeper (dont concentrate hard on it, just let it come naturally and if you cant see it, just feel it). I also add in layers, like i hit water, sink to the bottom into the mud, sink slowly through the mud, then drop out the bottom back into the blackness. Or i hit a huge pile of giant sized balls of wool, ill hit the top one, then slide down between 2 or 3 and hit another, just keep falling through the gaps (might sound weird but it works for me).

It may also help to write anything thats on your mind down on paper before bed, then you know you can forget them and they'll be there in the morning, It just helps you to let go.

Best of luck,

>RooJ

p.s. I do have other visualisation and imagination tricks for sleep, so let me know if you want more.

Hey Steve,

QuoteI can lie there quite happily in varying degrees of focus ten for an hour or more

The main problem i have is falling asleep during practice, its my fault, i just dont get enough sleep on a night. The reason i mention it is because i wanted you to realise, which im sure you do, that if you can hold F10 for 1 hour+ without a problem you have a great stepping stone once you get past your current wall.

QuoteBut the thing that's come to me in the last few days is that my perception of the 'minds-eye-world' is getting better with practice, things don't seem quite so far away/abstract.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried this at all, or have we all been using what we're given, so to speak ?

I have tried this, with suprisingly powerful results. Many months back i was in a similar situation, i was frustrated with my inability to visualize and decided to see if it was possible to train myself. I was shocked that same day when i practiced visualisation during work (yeah su me :D). I found it very difficult to visualise anything, until i tried to visualise a lion. I imagined a lion, as seen on animal documentaries, maybe catching another animal etc. I found i could clearly see the lion, especially its face. Id get very vivid images that could last up to 5 seconds or more, alot like hypnogogia.

The lion was a breakthrough for me (no matter what the situation i can always visualise one clearly), after practicing alot with this image i worked my way onto others. One day, no more than 10 days later, i decided to try something more complex in the form of a tropical island. After a while of trying i got similarly powerful images, really vivid colours which actually took my breath like powerful hypnogogia can do.
I always found the colours in island images hard to visualise, white sand, turquoise waters, blue sky, green palms etc. I think i approached it by building the image up part by part, at a certain point it would just take a life of its own like hypnogogia, maybe a perfect view of a beach but not from the point i was imagining. This was all done while fully concious, and i had lots of interesting experiences with this.

Somewhere along the line ive stopped putting effort into this so im not sure whether i could still manage good images (apart from lions), my rundown scenarios tend to be pretty dull anyway.
Thinking about it, theres a possibility that i was experiencing an f1/f2 overlay during some of the more vivid images.

After reading your post its motivated me to practice visualisation again, its seems stupid to me now that i give up something i was good at, hopefully i can get back to where i left off.

Good luck, and feel free to ask me any questions.

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Wow
September 23, 2005, 19:25:34
Ive always wanted to do that, float in the orbit of earth.  I always thought the most freeing feeling i would experience was flying in a lucid dream. I now think orbiting the earth would beat it.

A quick question, How long did the experience last?

Thanks,

>Roo
#62
Heh, There's a lesson to be learned somewhere in that experience :D.
Ive had times when ive re-entered dreams, its really cool to do when you have unfinished business.
It can be frustrating sometimes though, when you re-enter and then wake straight away, ive had it happen maybe 5 or 6 times in 20 seconds each time being "kicked out" so to speak.

Good look, and im sure you'll eventually get your revenge (even if you have to squeal like a girl a few more times before hand :P)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Anyone heard from Frank?
September 16, 2005, 20:10:32
Well i assure you it has nothing to do with me, the food was cooked and the water was clean :P.

But seriously, I hope its nothing too serious Frank, and i look forward to your return, your insight is always invaluable, and as you can see, currently greatly missed.

>RooJ

p.s. Hows the book coming along?
#64
hey again Jason,
I was wondering, do you practice astral projection or lucid dreaming? If so, how are you getting on with it? what methods do you use?

>RooJ
#65
Leyla,
Yeah i'm aware that others have supposedly been able to achieve this. I was interested in how the report came about, ie whether they obtained results in a somewhat public experiment (witnesses etc) or whether it was just a claim by jason/paul/whoever.

>RooJ

P.S. I say jason/paul because i sometimes get the feeling they're the same person :P.
#66
Now thats a freaky experience :D. Sounds like something i read lately about sleep paralysis:

QuoteIn some cases, when hypnogogic hallucinations are present, people feel that someone is in the room with them, some experience the feeling that someone or something is sitting on their chest and they feel impending death and suffocation.

http://www.stanford.edu/~dement/paralysis.html

Quotebut I can take comfort (and you should too) in the fact that we are powerful and capable of dealing with whatever it throws at us.

I agree with you on this, in that situation many people would simply panic, which im sure in an environment where thoughts can equal reality would make the situation a whole lot worse.
I wouldnt worry about the little guy if it was an astral entity, id imagine that in the astral the worst you could get is a bruised ego.

And congrats on your current string of successes. Its great to hear people succeeding, and with any luck ill be one of the people sharing experiences soon. Although ive had a decent number of lucid dreams i just cant seem to get past the wall ive hit with phasing.

>RooJ
#67
K, now its making a bit more sense. Still think he has a slight ego problem though :P.

QuoteA recent report shows he seen a GIRLS ALOUD Video yet to be released.

Is this a report he wrote? or is it a third party document which could be a more reliable source of proof?
Would you mind sending a link to the report if its online?

Welcome to Dreams! / Tutorial on achieving WILD's
September 05, 2005, 16:55:36
Although i posted this url in another thread i thought id share it in the dream section.

http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12621

Its a tutorial on achieving wake initiated lucid dreams, the "Holy Grail of lucid dreamers" :D.

I just wanted to share a tutorial i found:

http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12621

Its a tutorial on how to achieve wake initiated lucid dreams (WILD's), which is F2 in the phasing model. It's an interesting read and I found it answered a few questions i had.

Who is Paul Curran? At first i thought you meant the guy who played spock, but as NickJW pointed out he was played by Leonard Nimoy. Looking at the site you linked im kinda worried about this curran's sanity.
Is he a friend of yours? as your both from Derry and you seem to know lots about him.

I dont want to offend anyone, its just looking at some of his work, especially his own write up entitled:
"The Influence of Curran and his Stories!" by Paul M Curran
A Study of how some of Curran's Work has been re-worked into Hit Songs...
http://www.authorzone.com/view_articles.php?articleid=157

The opening paragraph:

QuoteIntroduction
Writer Paul Curran is certainly much more able to live a normal life than most stars. He has stayed relatively behind the scenes. In public he has been filmed by the world's media but only for short periods and the press aren't allowed to follow him. However the influence of his weird worlds and crazy ideas should not be under-estimated.

The whole thing seems a bit strange to me, something not quite right. Maybe you could enlighten me and share information about him?

Thanks

Ive never heard of anyone actually meeting on API. Im not even sure two people have projected there at the same time.

QuoteSo ... did you guys meet there afterall?

If not i got serious doubts about this AP thing ...

API alone shouldnt encourage you to have doubts. The idea behind api wasn't just to confirm astral projection, it's an attempt to find out if its possible to create a shared area in the astral, a place created by imagination that others can percieve with no prior knowledge.
As this hasn't even been confirmed yet its probebly best people tried to project to known locations aswell as API to meet in order to prove/disprove AP. On top of this i dont think many people really try to make it to API. It doesnt seem as popular as it used to be, which is a shame because if i could project consistently id definitely be paying it a visit.

Hope this helps,

Hey Telos, just wondering what the show was like? I would of loved to listen but i see you have to pay to listen on the site :(. As ive read LaBerge's "Exploring the world of lucid dreaming" I wasnt sure it would be worth it.

I too have the same problem, so know that your not on your own. This problem has put me off doing phasing practices lately, but after reading astralpulse today im now back in the mood. I suppose there will be many walls in the path of a wannabe phaser, but its only a matter of determination and time until you break them down.

Good luck

Actually i have him.. i keep him in the basement.. i decided posting on a forum everytime i needed help was just too slow. Ive found swapping food for information a good way to work out my phasing problems :D.
#75
Firstly i agree with labouts, your mean :P,

I think this is one of those questions everyone has asked at some point when lucid dreaming, especially during the first few lucid dreams, so there should be no shortage of responses. In my experience the response i usually get is one of disbelief, sometimes laughing (at me). If i show them something to prove it, use powers etc, the response is usually a look of awe, fear or once again disbelief.
Even when i prove it to dream characters they seem to always believe i have some gift they havn't, and not that they are infact a part of my dream.
