I think there can be a logical explanation for this.
Ive been to a few Psychic conventions and they are mostly female. Im a young women and I hardly see any young people at all. Old people don't use computers very well, my grandma cant even print without my help, so perhaps that explains the loss of women on this board. I wonder what the age stats on members are here?

In the public I keep quite on these interests especially with my girl friends because (as much as I hate to say this) they never talk about anything deep, just boy friends and stuff, ive gotten the weirdest looks from them, its quite funny. Its my guy friends that aren't afraid to talk about other dimensions and all that, but then again most of my guy friends smoke a lot of pot.

Its an age thing. I think younger males have a large interest in the occult same as older woman. In some ways younger girls may be more secret about it because it can be really damaging for a girls social life. It seems that guys don't really care as much about what people think, it doesnt phase them.
Just a thought.

Visualizing colors isn't a bad technique, its very useful for energizing your chakras, I use a similar method in which I imagine myself inhaling bright colors and exhaling smokey and dark air, for me it has proven effective in relaxation and aiding in memorable dreams.

This star method seems useful because it also puts pressure on the astral body, I don't know about everybody else but im a very visual person, rope is too boring for me.

Omega, maybe you should try and simplify the method, like mabey the star comes closer when you breathe in instead of reaching towards it or something like that.

another thing thats strange is that im always in my old bed, (i got a new bed a few moths ago) mabey this is affecting me.

I disagree Beavis. hands are way different then genitalia. People who present theyre penis infornt of children dont do it to make a statement about the beauty of the human body, they do it because it gives them some sort of perverted sexual high.
Btw, people have the right to make a citizen's arrest. If they didn't stop the guy he could have got away.

hon,

i grew up with metal in my mouth for years (two set...ack!) and i still dreamed and had normal sleep cycles (except when they tightened it to the point of agony)[xx(]
OBEs and dreams are similar, unless you dont dream i wouldnt be worried.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Who Likes Yoga?!
October 03, 2003, 15:56:08
Thanks very much for the yoga info shadow dancer, thats exactly what i wanted to findout!!!![:D]

My high class friend was telling me about this chain of yoga studios, i think they were called yoga 101, and that all the rooms were actually 101 degrees. I thought she was joking, but i guess you confirmed it [:)] anyways im not really for physical pain, its always been my perception that yoga is suppose to be relaxing...

and Nagual-
Im sorry to see that you scared the girls, but im sure they were impressed

What do you mean by "superficial"
Does that mean that some kinds of yoga are fake?!

Im really intrested in Buddism, but Im sure my relatives would keel over if they thought i was engaged in "strange, non-christian religions"[xx(].

I think im going to do some more research, im glad we got that new religon forum. Do you think i should get "Buddism for Dummies"? [;)]

It seems to me that the music industry is only targerting the top four or so file sharing programs. They may also only be cracking down on those who download mainstream stuff.

If your downloading obscure artists i wouldnt worry too much.

btw- i thought they only issued fines out for a month or so, I dont think they will keep it up. People will fight it and its just gonna end up costing them even more money in legal fees.

Thanks for postin' everyone

well Nagual your right about the women, but if any single guys are reading its an excellent way to hook up with people [;)]

Ive been told that certain kinds of yoga are better for meditation so I guess I'll look into Swasthya.

Right now im just doing beginning yoga (the class doesnt specify what type it is) but we do streching, and alot of breath work (which i find very interesting) and we end it all with meditation.

im afraid i dont know much about Tai Chi either, but i think ive seen people at parks doing it.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / creepy dream
September 29, 2003, 21:03:20
Hey guys,
This a pretty common dream I think, I even had a trilogy like Tao.

First about being in a colonial town overrun with zombies and terrified residents.

The 2nd time I found out the source of the dream when I noticed Bruce Campbell busted in with a chainsaw. That will teach me to play Fist Full of Boomstick on my PS2

The third time I was Trinity killing Zombies (probably b/c I switched off Zombie games and started Enter the Matrix)

I guess us poor teenagers really are influenced by what we see[;)]
Now Im not scared of those kinda dreams anymore, I have fun with them, so its a good thing

Ive had a lot of dreams of having vibes, and I usually wake up with an intent to astral project but always slip into dreams. Wether I actually woke up or dreamed of wakeing is not known to me, but the vibrations always feel super real, I guess very early morning or middle night is when i have them ( between 2-5am).

Welcome to Astral Chat! / New forum for under 18's?
September 16, 2003, 15:33:50
i agree with most on this, im 17 and probably wouldnt want to post in a teen forum if i wanted advice, sometimes its nice to see other people your age having similar hobbies and experiences but thats what a profile is for. And most topics in astral chat are generally the kind of things young people talk about like (crazy websites, ect..).
It would be cool if there were teen guides of tutorials on this site, since kids are supposedly different then adults when projecting.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Bells, chants, and vibration
September 15, 2003, 17:11:48
Hi-
the only times ive been close to a projection or have partly projected (i get stuck [:(]) I hear the same thing. A very low chord of male voices which i thought was similar to Monk chants, even a bell would play.

After my first experience with this I got true vibrations so now I  purposefull try to play out the sound in my mind and it helps induce the right state. Now I even when i dream sometimes this noise will play (like once i dreamed i opened a book and the noise came out) and i will wake up with full vibrations. I suggest you use it as a tool, its very useful and its not scary like other noises I have heard (like screaming[:O]).

Hey Xvirus

I have a sick sense of humor so please dont take offence

Soul sucking is fairy tales to me but if you want to learn more about the astral and how it works you should read up on it.
Bruce has a good guide on this web page
mabey you can try it for yourself and see if its real

Those are very common everyone sees them
They are called floaters and can be noticed in bright lights
They are just little amebas and things on your eyes that become magnified when you unfocus a little. You could probably learn a lot with an internet search.
