There is a local metaphysical store 5 mins from my house. They hold meditation and other types of classes like spirit guides, astrology, healing with crystals, past lives, etc.
I've only been to the store once to check it out. I've never went to a class, but it def wouldn't hurt. I plan on attending one soon

MEDITATION...

EVERYTHING with projection (when you're attempting to do it from a conscious state) revolves entirely around the skills you learn with meditation.

Meditate.

I have become much better at phasing in the morning after waking since I started meditating 5 months ago. I'm familiar with the feelings and have much better control over my thoughts
#53
Yeah I was thinking that as well xanth, but the worst I thought was maybe a virus or something so lets hope no stolen identity's!

Pretty cool, I messed around with it for a few minutes before. I will try and actually use it later, but one thing I noticed that might get annoying for me is that there is no adjustment for the ping sound when the alarm resets. I would prefer that noise to be silent since there isn't really a use for it anyway (that I can see)

I agree with chopstickfox. When I meditate I hate moving, especially if I have an itch. I feel like moving will break my trance state. But when I go to sleep at night I roll around until I get comfy and I'm still able to fall asleep.

If I wake up in the morning and don't move, yes the vibrations will come quicker. Sometimes I get up and have to use the bathroom and then get back in bed. It can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour sometimes for the vibrations to come back.

Usually I'll just get back in bed and roll over a few times like I'm going back to sleep, but with the intent to have an obe. But I don't really focus on anything for the first 20 minutes. Once I start seeing some moving colors, shapes, or some hypnogigic imagery then I know it's time and I start focusing on the blackness. From there I can deepen the state and sometimes I'll hear vibrations and sometimes I won't, but SP will come on and I can quickly shift to the NPMR.

It's all personal preference.
Personally, I wouldn't want to set an alarm for 4am like you're doing. Only because I'd rather not disrupt my regular sleep schedule, but if that's good for YOU then keep going with it.
I prefer to do it at 7am when I'm woken up from my parents making noise around the house, but I don't have school or work in the morning so I am able to try multiple times all the way up til 11am.
So essentially I'm doing the same technique as you, but just at later time. But this might not work for you if you are busy and have to get up early.

Recently I have also been trying to phase during meditation sessions. I do these once or twice a day during the afternoon/evening. This includes me lying in bed on my back, doing a few breathing exercises to relax, then just letting myself fall asleep while noticing. I'm sure you've heard of that technique and you can read more about it on xanth's page, but it has been working well for me and I feel like I'm at the doorway to a projection the last few attempts, but I haven't achieved it yet.

I did it 10 years ago over 2 years. It had no negative consequences. The only reason, why i dont do it now is, because it would rouse my wife. THIS would have negative consequences .

Haha I don't see any other consequences that could be worse than that..

Thanks lionheart, I will try and just observe it next time, but the nervousness came so quick there was nothing I could do at the time. I just need more practice like you said

I started meditating a few months ago and started by doing 20 minute sessions twice a day. Recently I have been doing 30 - 40 minute sessions.

This one in particular that I did today was 45 minutes long.

I started the meditation by doing some basic breathing techniques and then just relaxed and noticed for the rest of the duration.

Towards the end I was all of a sudden "seeing" (not with great clarity) what I remember as me flying through the air and holding some device in my hands. It was about the size of a DVD player, but it had 2 handles on the ends which I was holding. In the middle was a small screen and it was playing some scenario (like I was watching a movie). I looked at the screen and it started getting bigger and taking over my vision as I was entering the scene.

Then I realized this was happening and I got a nervous feeling in my stomach which immediately stopped the experience and brought my awareness back to my physical body.

I'm not sure why I get scared I've had plenty of OBE's, but I haven't had one from a totally awake state yet and I think that's why

That is pretty amazing. I always have my obe's by waiting for what feels like SP to come on. I feel like it is necessary and has to happen in order for me to have an experience, but I guess it really isn't and with practice and experience it should become easier and I may not have to depend on it.
#61
Yeah I actually thought the same thing about the first question newmethod. After I had woken up though and thought about it.
#62
Thank you!
I would have answered these questions like this

1. You may or may not be Jumia Mayba
2. You are or you are not done working in the NPMR
3. You are or you are not dedicated to working in the NPMR

The underlines would represent a circle if this were actually the test sheet

I will update if I make it back to this place, though I haven't gotten out since this experience.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Vibrations

As said above, you will get so many different answers about vibrations. So many people experience them differently. Personally, I don't really feel them anywhere in my body except for in my ears and my head. I have felt them in my legs and arms, but only a couple times.
To me they come in pulses that sound and feel like electric shocks or buzzing/frying noise. I only get them in my ears and head and it gets louder and stronger with each pulse

It has been 5 years for me since I first learned about this stuff. Yes, there has been times where I get bored and lazy with it, but eventually I always end up coming back to it with excitement.
Since I have recently tried really dedicating myself to it by meditating twice a day and practicing phasing every morning I am having pretty amazing results.
I have 35 recorded OBE's and probably a few extras that weren't as substantial that I didn't write down, but 10 of them happened in this month of January. I find that pretty amazing by putting in the extra effort I have had almost a 3rd of my experiences in 1 month and I have been doing this for 5 years (on and off) And that they are getting more interesting every time.

Thanks, I hope I am able to return! I wonder if I would start from where I left off?
I haven't had enough chances reading while obe to really say if I have trouble or not, but I can tell you that I have had a lot of trouble reading clocks while in the RTZ.

Oh, and I edited my original post to add in a part where I introduced myself to the male. I forgot about that.
#66
It's worth a try! Though this isn't the first of this design, but this is the first one I have seen with a voice guidance. Usually it's just an alarm to wake you up and you know know what to do by yourself.

OBE # 35
9:00am, wake back to bed, phase method, RTZ, NPMR, unfamiliar location, unfamiliar people, learning school

I woke up numerous times this morning and tried going back to sleep with the intention of having an obe. Finally I rolled onto my back and I quickly fell into SP. I knew I could separate so I tried feeling myself getting light and rising. All of a sudden I could see my ceiling like I was laying on my back and I was rising slowly. I got about a foot or 2 above my bed and then unintentionally slowly started rolling to my left. I spun a 180 and then was facing my bed. I slowly descended until I was laying on my stomach on the bed. My vision then faded to black, but I could still feel I was laying on my stomach. Again I tried feeling like I was light and rising. I felt some sort of movement, but couldn't really see anything.
All of a sudden I was in a large place where it was all white. There was a small white brick building below and about 40 - 50 feet in front of me. I'm pretty sure the background was all white, but I could be mistaken. I flew down closer to the building and now I was standing in front of it. I was examining the outside and there was a big digital clock on one of the walls. It was displaying in red numbers and it was rapidly changing. I saw 7:00am and then 3:00am. I turned around to keep checking out the building, but turned back around to check the clock. It said 3:38am and it was steady this time. I thought that was weird because I knew it wasn't that time. I walked passed the clock and entered the building through a door.
Basically straight ahead was a round table in the middle of the room with some chairs around it. The room wasn't that big it was maybe 20ft by 30ft?  There were some windows and there was a small single person desk on each of the walls except for the one I came in through. To the left of the round table were 2 people standing and talking. There was a male and a female. I immediately went over and introduced myself to the female. She was African american and had dark hair tied back and dark eyes. She was well dressed and well mannered. I said Hello, I'm Justin and she said Hello, I'm (Jumia Mayba?) She brought me over and we sat down at the round table. The table was very uncomfortable to sit at because sitting down it was about chest height. I can't remember her exact words, but she said this is some sort of learning school for me (or my body and mind?) and that we have 12 projects to do. I was simply amazed. I was so excited because I remembered reading about Bob Monroe's experiences with NPMR learning labs. I couldn't believe it was happening and I was super excited to get started. She stood up and walked into a separate room. Now I was alone in the room with the other male entity. I introduced myself to him. I stuck my hand out and said Hello I'm Justin. We shook hands and he said, Hi. I asked him what his name was and he just said, Hi again. We both laughed at this and then the woman returned.
She handed me a piece of paper that was like a test sheet and told me to try my best. I think it was for her to get a basic understanding of how developed or undeveloped I am. She said I should sit at a table that is more comfortable to work at. I said Okay thanks and went over to one of the smaller single person desks. I didn't sit down I just stood next to the desk and leaned over and started reading the paper. I skimmed over the top sentence printed in bold because I figured it was the directions and I just wanted to start. I thought that was probably a bad idea so I went back and re-read it. I remember it saying circle the best answer.
The questions were listed 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Here is what the first 3 questions said.
1. You may or may not be Jumia Mayba?
2. You are or you are not done working in the NPMR?
3. You are or you are not dedicated to working in the NPMR?
They were pretty simple and basic questions and there were more, but I didn't get to them. I was having a hard time focusing now and I REALLY didn't want to lose the experience. I didn't answer any of the questions yet and I turned around and went to the woman. I told her I was losing lucidity and it was hard for me to focus right now. I looked down at my hands to try to get back in control, but I could "feel" the numbness in my physical legs and it was pulling my attention to it. She asked me if I tried snoring? I said, no and tried it. I heard and felt myself snore once and told her I don't think it's working and didn't like it because I felt like it was pulling me back to the physical. I really didn't want to lose the experience, but it slowly faded and then I was laying in my bed in blackness. I tried 2 more times to get back, but I couldn't get into SP or phase. I figured it was better to get up and write this down.

I think this was my first time phasing directly into a NP reality. I usually only phase into the RTZ, which I did at first, but then found myself here instead.

Thanks for reading!  :-)

I'm not really sure, but there are a few things
I'd like to prove to myself it is real
Communicate with other entities and deceased loved ones. Maybe visit and see where they are staying
Explore NP realities

Nice one!

Boring word of advice....

Just try not to get stuck in the 'over enthusiastic' rut. Calmly approach your practice with curiosity and confidence... Try not to get too excited about it happening again.  :-)

Very true words.
Every time I'm excited it never works, this morning I woke up and then almost immediately fell into vibrations which took me by surprise, but I got so excited and somewhat nervous I found myself laying in bed awake.

And also a few days ago I had a few long and vivid obes. Since I had those I thought oh it's easy I can do it every morning. Well I woke up and thought about how easy it was and well, I didn't have any experiences until I stopped forcing things and woke up and just went back to bed with a small intent

Welcome and congrats!
Nice to see you are so excited about it, it is great isn't it?
There is so much useful information on this site please read it to help get you started in the right direction.
Good luck!  :-)

Sometimes my obe's seem dream like too when I wake up and I second guess if it was real.
It really depends on how aware you are DURING the experience rather than after when you're trying to remember it, so yes they will become easier to remember and feel more real after time.

Also the dream journal helps a lot

Congrats!
To me it sounds like you had a lucid dream and then when you said you wanted to project you found yourself in the sleep paralysis/vibration/blackvoid/mind awake body asleep/whatever you want to call it state and from there you had a classic RTZ projection.
Now that you have felt that state it should get easier to recreate so you can have more experiences.

Thanks Cody

Thanks Szaxx I guess I have a long way to go  :-)

It's not "time travel" perse... it's not like you can travel back in time to physically change events.

Events have happened and can't be changed.  This is one of the lessons for living in this physical reality that one must accept.

You can, however, view past events.  This is what people experience.

This.

I actually got into all this stuff because I got caught shoplifting. It was the first time I was in serious trouble so it was a pretty big impact on my life. I was looking to see if time travel was possible, then I stumbled upon some astral projection videos on youtube. Now I would never want to go back and change what I did and I'm glad I couldn't because it brought me to where I am today!
So maybe you can relate that to yourself somehow, but I have come to the realization that I don't think it's possible to time travel, but apparently it is possible to RELIVE your past experiences (but I have not done that before)
