Cool link, Cainam Nazier - thanks!

Hi Fenris -

Good to hear you're not much of a fighter - I do anything to avoid fights too and luckily the occasions never surface any more.  Hmmm - well there's probably a bit more to the wolf thing, though it's pretty academic I guess.

Funny I am exactly the same about flesh and blood.  I absolutely need to eat any skin which ever gets ripped off me even though I am fairly slim I can out-eat almost everyone I know.  So I guess I am a bit wolfish myself.  And I love to lick my wounds and even surprised a young friend many many years ago one New Year's eve by licking a drop of blood off her willing friend's leg...

I guess hence the expression - "to lick one's wounds".  Must be natural!

Ciao!

Excellent article on vegetarianism back there!  A friend's family is vegetarian and they all feel they have to take supplements to keep healthy.  My girlfriend has been vegetarian for over ten years, but she doesn't feel she needs to and seems pretty healthy.

What ticked me off about meat is that when eating out at restaurants it was really hard to get a balanced meal - like the standard thing tended to be lots of meat and some carbohydrate and stuff-all veges or salad.  Which ends up being rather rough on the old internals!  Now I can eat lots of fruit & veges and hardly any meat my tummy is much happier!  And it's good that restaurants have change in the last 10 years - now we are spoiled for choice whether we want meat or not.

That seems to descrive it fairy well!    Yeah - reading about the Park etc in Ultimate Journey really got me excited about OBEs.

Actually NoSkillz is right - this is pretty much exactly the same as Joe Russa's Suneye method #1 which you can check out here along with methods 2, 3 and 4:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bwgen/files/suneye_methods.zip
(All in PDF format.)

So not quite a new method, but it's supposed to be pretty damned good from what people have said on other forums.

BTW if people are interested in that milk thing, I've just seen that the most info is actually at Dr McLaughlin's website, including his research papers and related medical articles:
http://www.a2corporation.com/html/htmlindex.html
(Definitely worth reading!)

And just to let you know that it isn't a load of crackpot nonsense, I have friends who have a dairy farm and they said that most farms would definitely be gradually changing over to the A2 cows in the near future, as once A2 milk was being sold in quantity, who in their right mind would want to buy the stuff which might give you diabetes or finish you off early with a heart attack?

I was pretty vegetarian for quite a while but I've been looking at shamanic people and various mystical people I know - and almost none of them are vegetarian.  But I do think that you must consider the state of the animal you eat, so avoiding any produce from battery hen-houses is a good idea, and hence eating fish is best, as they are the most free-range you can get.

However I still don't eat any meat most days.  I just like to have some chopped sausage with my sauerkraut (I just love sauerkraut!) and fish is nice too.  Also the blood group book says that lamb is good stuff for us type-O people.

I eat free-range eggs regularly but avoid cow's milk as much as I can since the A1 milk-protein scandal hit the news here.  (Goat's milk is rather nice and so much healthier!)  If you haven't heard about it, read this and hope A2 is released soon.  Note that there's a lot more research done than the articles imply.  Dr McLaughlin says that he found he could actually predict a contry's level of heart disease by knowing what their A1 milk consumption was.

Food for thought!  So it is safer and healthier all round to steer clear of all animal food I guess.  Definitely when I dine out I never eat chicken or shellfish as I get food poisoning way too easily.

And vegetarianism helps you lose weight?  Well it depends what you eat of course.  I know a some rather obese vegetarians and lots of slim meat-eaters...

And to top it off - ages ago I contacted Robert Peterson (who wrote a book on astral travel) and he said if anything he eats way too much meat!

Cheers,

Hmm - I'm just wondering if I am on off on a slightly different tangent.  Perhaps the tracks I mentioned are more for some sort of "astral massage".  When I listen to them I gets tingles all over and often end up with electrified hair if it's really intense.  But I don't know if they're any good for actually helping raise energy.

I actually have wondered if there is any value to all this tingling or not...  Seems cool but I can't see how it might be useful.

Nice to read other people's intros!

I'm Rick, 33 years and living in New Zealand.  I am quite keen on astral travel but find it really hard to do the regular practice.

Got into metaphysics because there have been a few weird psychic things in my family (past life memories, lucid dreams where people met recently deceased relatives, etc) and I decided there must be something to all this and that OBEs were definitely the most exciting!

My interests are fooling around in the garden, half-arsed attempts at astral travel and reincarnation - especially people who have past lives in Nazi Germany.

My advice for everyone: grow cranberries!  They're lovely small bushes and the berries are so damned yummy.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Mozia -

I shouldn't really talk because I am too undisciplined to do the practice most of the time, but I would suggest this.  Get to a point where you get some regualr feedback - probably the easiest place is where you can charge up energy, then relax and get the vibrations.  If you haven't got there yet, you need to do some work!  Also try your focusing awareness outside your body and see how well you can do this.

Then quite smoking for a few days and see how your work goes.  Is there any difference?  If not, you may as well ignore the smoking issue.  Also now I think about it, the energy-raising technique alone should be able to tell you everything, as when on a heavy diet I found this almost impossible, while on a light and highly nutitious diet it was really strong.

This is how I was able to check things like alcohol and diet for myself.  For more, check out my experiences:
http://www.geocities.com/vienna/5373/esoteric/hemisync.htm

I can definitely say that having booze before trying to visualise is going to be problematic, but I would have actually thought that caffeine or tobacco would actually enhance the visualisation!

And it's nice to hear there are more pipe smokers out there!  (I just love aromatics though I'm not really a smoker...)

Cheers!

This is a hell of a forum!  I mentioned this a while ago on another forum and hardly anyone knew what I was talking about.

My recommendations which people should be able to download from http://www.audiogalaxy.com or your favourite MP3 site are:
Goldfrapp - Lovely Head
Goldfrapp - Utopia
DIVA Original Soundtrack - Aria From La Wally
(especially at the start)

I have to say I was really surprised how strong the effects of the Goldfrapp tracks were when I initially cranked them up on a good stereo!  Quite a roller-coaster ride...

Also here's an nice one which is especially good if you think you had a past life in 1930s Germany:
http://www.audiogalaxy.com/list/song.php?&g=26190610

Problem of course with recommending classical tracks is it really depends on the version as to whether you get much in the way of energy effects.  The first one where I really noticed it was listening to the hymn "Jerusalem" with William Blake's words - that's really something when you can find a good version.

BTW I'm not surprised about Tool's tracks as I heard they are quite the occultists.  I guess I should check out some of their stuff.

Um... I'm pretty sure that the conventional thought is that all energy comes from external sources - ie people just can't generate it themselves.  They have to draw it in, absorb it from sunlight and food... or sap it from other people of course!

Some examples of mystics who supposedly didn't need to eat are:

Therese Neumann, the Bavarian woman with stigmata
http://www.crystalclarity.com/yogananda/chap39/chap39.html
http://www.crystalclarity.com/yogananda/illustrations/py/bhaduri/yukteswar/friends/neumann2.html

Giri Bala - the female yogi who never ate but just generated enough cosmic energy to sustain herself:
http://www.crystalclarity.com/yogananda/chap46/chap46.html
http://www.crystalclarity.com/yogananda/illustrations/prana/ananta/festival/ma/giribala.html

(Both pages from Paramahansa Yoganada's best-selling autobiography which is now online.)

Of course you have to be amazing to do this.  That people have achieved it is pretty breathtaking but personally I think that anyone who has this as a goal is a bit of a lunatic, as it's a side-effect, not a goal.

Also did people hear about some guy who was claiming he never ate and he got caught out?  There are a few tricksters trying to milk this one all right...

Cheers!

Actually I tried reading a comic book when I was asleep and all the words were random!  I forced myself to read each word as I saw it and it was laughably nonsensical...

Hi David -

the D&D link ain't as crazy as you think.  People go for the things they resonate with, hence all sorts of historical re-enactment (medieval, renaissance, WW2, etc) and loads of people went insane when D&D turned up.  But there are lots of things which link it with reality and most of the monsters do seem to be astral entities from all sorts of different cultures...

Nah - my dried sage leaves (ie left lying around in the kitchen for a day or so) are not so dry so they would be fine.  Perhaps after a month or more they'd get pretty crappy, but I reckon if people pick them and burn them within a matter of days they'd be fine.  Just made me wonder why they always sayd "sage stalks" - but perhaps this is exaclt why - because the leaves get too crumbly after a long while....
#65
Wow!  I just tried lighting some dried purple sage leaves which I'd made tea out of and I was amazed how well they burn and smoke.  Incredible!  Each little leaf just burns slowly and thoroughly.

But smudges are said to be of sage stalks, so I was wondering - are the stalks with leaves ok to use?  Or shouldn't the leaves be involved?

Cheers!

Servus Helmut!

Yep - I know about the full body circuit but just didn't recognise the abbreviation.  And maybe I should try to focus more energy on my geenral neck where I have some long-time mild problem.  Interestingly when I first started focusing between my eyes I developed an unpleasant rash between my eyebrows!  Luckily some antiseptic cream got rid of it quite quickly.

Hey Ben - interesting that you get a feeling of warmth.  I only get pressure and a sort of "bubbling" feeling at the brow centre, though I try not to pump energy there as I haven't got into energising the rest of my body enough yet and I take Robert Bruce's warning seriously!  Can I ask what activity feels like in the crown?  And how do you stimulate that?  Just raising energy there, or something else?

Tschüß!

Thanks for the replies!

Goku22 - are you really a kundalini fire-man?  That must be amazing...  What do you do with it?!?  There's no fire involved for me of course.  The strongest it gets is with music I get the weirdest tingling waves all over me, like they're pulling in different directions.  Search on www.audiogalaxy.com for "diva soundtrack aria" and that opera track is very powerful!

Grüße Helmut!  Was heißt übrigens FBC?  Actually I don't focus on this 3rd eye very much at all any more but now I often have the twitchy sinus area.  Seems to be an odd thing to have.  And what are the dangers if someone activates an area where there is a health problem?  Don't think I have heard about that before!

Hi Winged Wolf - you are quite the poster!  Actually one thing I haven't been able to do is really charge my hands.  I just never got much of a response when I've tried in the past.  Perhaps it takes a lot of continual effort?

Cheers!

Sounds like some of you guys need to smoke your houses out with moxa sticks or sage/cedar smudges to keep bad entities away!  Moxa sticks are dirt cheap from your local Chinese medicine store and supposedly keep bad spirits away from your house.  See related topic:
http://www.astraldynamics.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=402

I remember I used to have the odd nightmare ages ago, but since I decided that I'd only be nice to people and not hate anyone at all (but just try to reconcile or avoid & understand them) I hardly remember having a single nightmare.  Probably you enlightened people have taken this step already but it is always a good thing to mention.

I really understood part of your experience Andy.  When taking melatonin for a couple of weeks (on top of meditation, Monroe tapes etc) my dreams started becoming so incredibly vivid that one night I realised "this is way too real for a dream" and snapped back to the bed, paralysed and really uncomfortable!  A bit of a drawback and whenever paralysed (though it hasn't happened for a while) I freak out a bit because I can't sense what's around me...

Cheers!

That's a very funny police story!  And amazing the shenanigans you get up to Jo...

Ah well, it sounds like moxa is just as good and as I said the sticks are dirt cheap at the local Chinese medicine store.

And I agree, I actually don't think they smell much like pot (which is pretty weird smelling) but are just smokey.  For some reason a friend thought my house smelled of pot.  And I don't think we have many bad spirits around here anyway, but it's always good to know what to do just in case!

Cheers!

That's nice to hear but dammit I can't seem to find anyone to supply sweetgrass locally...  I guess it's just not a big thing in New Zealand.

Problem with moxa sticks is that your house smells REALLY smokey after you've smoldered them a bit around the place.  Nothing like incense at all - more like pot if anything.  I hope these sage/cedar smudges smell better!!!

Hey Daniel....

The kar98K was just the standard bolt-action rifle the Germans used in WW2.  That's his background - which has no intrinsic problems in itself, as there are plenty of past-life WW2 Germans and even SS people who are perfectly normally functioning decent humans today.  I don't know quite why but this chap has opened up some psychic link which has been giving him feelings and sensations for a while now, but is unfortunately making his working life a bit intolerable.

I understand that a lot of psychic people find dealing with the regular world quite difficult because of this type of thing, but I imagine that there just must be a standard way of dampening it down a bit...

Cheers!
#73
Wow - that's really something!  I'll have to try that technique...  Sad about your brother's long-time predicament.  Perhaps he just needs to learn to lose the envy?

Cheers!

Hey -

Have a look at Violet's second posting about psychic vampires at this message:
http://www.astraldynamics.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=222

It goes over the whole thing pretty well.  Note that anyone who takes your energy is often regarded as a vampire, even though they don't bite your neck and suck your blood.  They are life-force vampires, which as far as I know is the true meaning of the word.

Cheers,
Richard :)

Actually I am growing mugwort and it seems very hard to kill as I forgot about it for ages.

So what's a cedar smudge?  I've found native american sage or sage/cedar smugdes for sale on the net, but can you get them only in the US or are they available in Australia and NZ as well?  Better still - how do I make them as I grow lots of herbs.  And do you just smoke it like a moxa stick around the house?

Cheers!
