It is not possible to stay in the astral for up to three days unless you are in a coma or something else similar.    They were probably exaggerating.

Why wouldnt it be possible??  People can sometimes go without food and water for a week or more.
They found some kid in that Haiti earthquake who had gone without water for 8 days

OMG, my very first  SP and vibrational state were with an earthquake like shake. It was about two weeks after I started a visualization technique before bed. It happened during sleep, I had my eyes closed, I could not see anything, but it lasted only few seconds because as soon as got shaken pretty hard, I woke up (in the physical), jumped out of bed, ran out of my room and looked at the big chandelier in the living room to try to figure out how strong the earthquake was. To my surprise the chandelier was not moving al all. Everything looked normal. I was sooo freaked out, but excited at the same time because I suspected that my energies must have started to rise and I was close to experiencing my first OBE. And sure enough after another week or so it happened. This time, I stayed calm during the vibrations and separated as instructed by Mr. Buhlman.
So, even though you said you are not doing any techniques, sometimes it happens spontaneously to though who read on the subject or had tried at some point meditation and techniques. I would suggest you take advantage of your energies being "awaken" so to speak, do some techniques and see if you will experience another conscious OBE.

Ha ha....thats exactly how my night went.  It felt like an earthquake, only thing is we very rarely get strong earthquakes here in Toronto.

When I briefly got out of my bed I also felt very wobbly.  Almost as if I was drunk, even though I hadnt drunk alcohol that night.

I think I'll take your advice and try OBE techniques next few weeks.  
Maybe I'll have more luck separating from my body

During sleep paralyzis does the environment look like it always looks. Sleep paralyzis ends, when the eyes are opened (+-1 second).

He had a state, which i experienced many times. If he would have focused on standing up, while the room looked different, he would had an clear and good out of body experience (many of my own OBEs start in this way).

Does it feel like an earthquake to you also??

I had a very strange sleep last night.  I semi-woke up in middle of the night, everything around me was shaking.  It felt like an earthquake.  The room I was semi-awake in didnt look like my bedroom, so I knew I was half sleeping.

My chest also felt weird. 

I'm just wondering what the hell happened.  Did my heart chakras open up voluntarily??
The reason why I find the timing weird is because I havent done energy, meditation or OBE work in at least the last 9 months.
So why is my chakras suddenly opening up??

Or is it even my chakras??  Could it be something else??
Did I have night time seizure ??  I hope not..LOL

I also had to right away check the internet when I woke up this morning to see if Toronto had any earthquakes...LOL

Based off of hearsay and my personal beliefs regarding it, I don't think there's really a way to accidentally break it. Option 1: it's a construct of our mind putting into sense the symbolic tie between our physical and astral body. Option 2: Assuming that it is some sort of power cord between our physical and astral bodies, it is nothing like a physical cord. It has no limitations of distance because the concept of distance is irrelevant where we are. And most certainly, I don't think you would need to worry about some douche running around with scissors cutting people off whenever they come across them. Astral scissors? I don't think so. Whichever way you look at it, most likely if this was a possibility that we could sever ourselves accidentally or by an outside force, we would have heard many horror stories by now. Or at least more stressful "close calls" from travelers

I dont really care whether some see a cord and others dont.  I was just curious what would happen if you accidently stepped on your cord and broke it while OBE.....LOL.

I read somewhere that if the silver cord is broken you cant return back to your body.  But what if you decide to break the cord while astrally projecting, does that count??  Or what if some astral entity decides to take a pair of scissors to your cord, wouldnt that kill you also??

I would also like to know if there would be any negative karma attached to torture in this particular case.  To the people doing the torture, and to the ones who ordered the torture

Okay, lets say hypothetically you have a POW in custody.
This POW knows where the next 9/11 is about to take place. Only problem is he's not talking.

Do you have an ethical obligation to torture this POW to get intel on where and how the next 9/11 will take place?? Or will you receive negative karma for torturing that POW??

Keep in mind, by using torture on one person, you could save the lives of a few thousand innocent people.

You are right about subtitles being lost in translation.  They translated "Law of Cause and Effect" wrong in the beginning of the movie

If I understand the sub titles , Nosso Lar is our home .   The sub titles in the file I got are .srt files , you must use a player that will suport that kind of file.  I use Linux and the k player will work , I dont know on windows , or mac.   desert rat 

Rat, download VLC Media Player which is free and available from www.vidolan.org

In VLC you go to File / Open File and in the window that appears you have the choice to use a 'subtitles' file along with choosing the video file itself. The .srt file is the subtitle file
