Welcome to Dreams! / Help me with WILDS!!
November 02, 2003, 20:59:38
Practice for a regular projection and when you get close to the exit just roll over onto your left side like you were going to go to sleep normally and create an image of where you want to go, give it a name and repeat that name aloud and it is possible for you to remain awake and project into a Lucid Dream.  Before you start your practice be sure that you set up the scenario in advance and know exactly where you want to go in the LD and give it a name and be ready to visualize that place you want to go when you roll over and just get comfortable like you were going to sleep normally. Give it a try, it is explained in Astral Dynamics.

It seems to me that when you bumped the door you were testing to see if you could go thru it. Unless you absolutely believe that you can then chances are you won't go thru it.  That may be the reason. Next time don't test the door, just go straight on thru it without another thought. Once you seriously believe you can do it,you will, unless of course you are still in the physical in which case just say "OUCH THAT HURTS"!!!

I have heard that in order to move an object you must first become that object.  Is this true?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / where do dead atheists go?
November 01, 2003, 11:55:05
If your father is an atheist then he does not believe in God. A belief system is dependent on a person taking a great leap of faith. Evidently your father does not feel that there is enough proof around to validate the existence of God.  This is his opinion and he probably should not be punished for it. He will likely proceed as the rest of us do after death and the truth will be revealed to him at that time.

Use protective measures before projecting and use conjurations whenever necessary.

You have an interesting subject and it may be yet another shortcut into AP practice.  I assume that you have not tried it yet. I checked out your 3 links and thought the first one had the most practical data. I intend to get some ping pong balls and try it out and will post the results here and you can do the same if you decide to try it. Thanks for your post.

Maintaining a dream journal is essential for dream recall. I keep a hand-held portable cassette recorder next to my pillow and I record each dream into it the moment I wake up and then write it into the dream journal the next day. Try not to move when you first awaken and after recording the dream try to replay it in your mind a couple of times so the imprint is strong.  Also note any anomaly that you spot in the dream and question it so that next time you will notice these irregularities.

When you are in a lucid dream you should be in control. Try to examine your thoughts when you become lucid to ascertain if it might just be you imagining them to be interested/aggressive.

I've worked my way thru most of the energy exercises in the NEW Chapter of Astral Dynamics and I can't say that it has helped my AP practice all that much. Since using the "Awareness Hands" part of it I find now that my hands seem to be energized more in the practices and I have found other practical applications for them apart from AP.

I've never seen the cord either but I will not reject the idea that it exists as there must be a connection channel between the physical and astral bodies in order for them to communicate with one another and the cord may very well be this nexus.

CT just gave you some very good advise to follow.  You may be over-complicating the process. Try to just clear your mind of everything except doing the NEW exercises on stimulating and raising the energy. Do one exercise at a time and do it over and over again until you actually feel the energy moving and the resistence on the bounces,  and don't move on until you are comfortable with the exercise and are confident that you are getting the desired results. It may take you quite awhile to get thru all the exercises effectively but when you do, you will feel the results and have a good foundation for further work with the major Chakras.  Stay with it and good luck.

You might try to focus in on the spinal bounce technique as it might stimulate energetic activity in that area,  but then it depends on what is causing your backache.  You could have a clear energy channel thru that area and still be stuck with the backache.
good luck.

The level of energy contained in the sub-navel center has no bearing on clearing channel blockages,  when it fills up the over-flow goes on up to the upper centers mentioned.

At what point in your AP or Meditation practice did this occur?

It sounds like you've discovered a great way to reach the Astral and it seems to me you should stick with it, but next time you get into the dream try to have an Astral destination in mind and fly there instead of continuing to participate in the dream pattern. Your surprise at hearing what your friend said probably triggered your return to your body and that's why your control drained away. Keep up the good work!!

Congratulations!!  If you projected during your first month even if just briely I would say you are doing very well indeed.   Some people take years to accomplished what you did in just a months time.  Next time you experience the vibrations and paralysis just stay calm and gently get up out of bed or gently roll over onto your side and get up, you may surprise yourself by suddenly being in the Astral.  Good luck!!!

It seems to me that most strong emotions drain my energy levels instead of enliven them.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Starting over...

Going back and trying to correct all of your mistakes would probably prove futile because making these corrections would alter and change your life patterns and present you with a different future reality which would be at great variance to your actual past life. It would probably make more sense for us to just learn from our past mistakes and use this wisdom to resolve our karma. Just a thought.

I would assume that any perversion-oriented activity would call for very emotional conduct which would pull the perpetrator quickly back into his physical body, thus effectively ending the attack.

Welcome to Dreams! / Quick Question

Consider yourself a very fortunate Kitty. I would never turn down a chance to participate/direct a lucid dream!  Do you get them spontaneously or do you do a Reality Check while in a regular dream? I would like to know also if you do any affirmations or visualizations prior to going to sleep that might be inducing them. Be happy and keep those LD's going as long as you can.  It doesn't really matter how you get to the Astral the important thing is just being there.  Use those LD's wisely and orchestrate them in ways where you can learn and evolve from them.  Good luck!!

A difficult time for me to try to project is at bedtime. Probably because my mind is usually filled with all the days' activities.  I drink a glass of water just before going to bed and then at bedtime I just go to sleep.  I usually have to get up 2 or 3 times during the early morning hours and I find them to be the best times to practice and it also increases my changes of success.   My body is then really relaxed and I can accelerate the process. Waking up like this does not pose a problem for me as I am retired and don't have to set the alarm to go to work now.

I've had them both ways.  Slow roll outs work best for me but I am also experimenting with other methods.  R. Bruce suggested a way in his book where you image yourself as wearing water skis and are partialy submerged in the water with your hands gripping the rope handle and a powerful speed boat out in front of you is reving its engine and then with a loud roar it powers up and takes off, jerking you straight up out of the water. This is a very explosive projection and can be scary at first. Hope this helps.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Separation?

This may be a good time to go back to the basics and really examine your relaxation technique. This is the foundation step and everything that follows it is useless unless relaxation is complete.  Good luck.
#74
Sometimes people have a tendency to over-complicate this process. When you stated that you said "jokingly" that you would move it, that told me that you were probably very relaxed and felt no pressure in trying to move it.  That's when it seems to work best because when you are very tense and try to force it to move, it just flat won't bidge an inch.

During meditation yesterday I focused all my awareness on my Brow Chakra and after awhile it started to kind of pulsate.  I know what vibrations feel like and it didn't feel like that, it was kind of a low rumbling sound.  It didn't spread to the rest of the body and I didn't try to move it around.  It just kept up that steady pulsating, it was not the heartbeat either.  Anyone have any idea what this could be and exactly how I should handle it next time? Thanx.
