It's really just another word for psychic. Everyone is psychic to some degree but, as already posted, exercising your psychic abilities does tend to enhance them.

Edgar Cayce stated that he saw the Akashic Records as books and added that he thought this merely to be due to his own expectations as seeing books as repositories of knowledge. Maybe future generations will view the akashic records as a screen with Google at the top. He said that he was sometimes handed the relevant books or information by some old guy with white hair, presumably another icon of wisdom for him.

I can't comment on whether Jesus is or can be anyone's saviour but the teachings of Christ are some of the most spiritual directions known. They don't significantly differ from those of such luminaries as Red Cloud, White Eagle, Silver Birch or even Xanth.

I used to consider that FAs were the mind's way of trying to fool me into avoiding going into a LD. As I'd become aware that I was dreaming, I'd dream that I was awake and so stop making the effort to take control of the dream. Even when I was wise to its antics, the mind would still occasionally try it on. For me, the trick was to remain alert for signs that I might still be dreaming, so that I could then take control.

Protecting yourself can be as simple as asking that higher beings of love and light keep you safe and that they keep away any beings who don't approach you with love. You can even ask that all beings stay away while you sleep. Affirm the thought with your will.

Some suggest visualising an egg or cocoon around yourself before you fall asleep. Surround yourself with golden-white light and form a barrier that you affirm will persist through the night. I used to do this a long while ago and typically found that I slept better on the nights I created the barrier. You can even project it around yourself and your partner and protect both of you together. I've also done this with partners and smiled as they've commented on their improved sleep the following morning.

In essence, protecting yourself comes down to electing and making an effort of will to assert and affirm that you are safe. Calling on trusted beings to enforce your will on your behalf, such as dead parents or grandparents, if you believe in such things, or your God, can help with the affirmation of protection.

You state that this has gone on for a while. If so then, if it is an external entity and the protection methods don't work, then it's possible that such an entity has latched onto you and you might need stronger measures to detach it from yourself. One step at a time, though.

If you want an item to focus on, you could get an amethyst crystal or some amber. They're both good for night-time protection. My preference would be the amethyst. A small crystal would suffice, preferably one with facets, rather than a tumbled stone.

As for sinning, you don't sound like someone who considers herself a sinner in this regard. Trust your inner self and ignore obvious bigots.

I don't know TC's views on karma yet but, if the topic interests you, take a look at some of the material from the Cayce readings. The suggestion there is that karma is a very real part of natural law but only in the sense that lessons must be learned and that one has inherent predispositions to encounter people and situations where those lessons will arise. Karmic lessons can often span many lives and many encounters with the same entities.

While I agree with most of your comment, you stated Claraidiance as being the ability to see...which im sure you know is actually the faculty of hearing  :-)

Yes, thanks for catching that. The first one was meant to be "clairvoyance". A careless typo.

No, it's not silly. One of my own precepts is that if I feel that I have sinned or transgressed a principle then I have. Before doing something I wonder whether I'll have cause to regret, I ask myself how I feel about it. If it's a negative response then I know I'll feel wrong about it afterwards. If you feel that you cheated then you cheated. Maybe only a shift in perspective is required to fix this and that may be fuel for a focused meditation as you look within. Maybe being faithful to this partner means less to you than you thought it did or maybe the body simply over-rode the mind. Either way, look within and resolve this to your own satisfaction.

As for the rest, whether it was a dream experience or you shared experiences with another entity, I can't comment. I would suggest that you raise protection on a regular basis, though.

The expression "Mind Awake - Body Asleep" is a good description. You are mentally awake but your body is fast asleep. I've always been able to wake up at will and, at times, I've woken up just to prove that my body was asleep, if that makes any sense.

I've never had anything I'd describe as sleep paralysis so can't offer a comparison.

I've come to think that clairsentience is the really important ability. Clairvoyance can allow one to see things but without clairsentience to interpret what one sees, the vision, although very clear, can be meaningless, confusing or even misleading. Similarly, many mediums consider clairaudience to be the top-shelf ability but without clairsentience to back it up, many nuances and all of the emotions of a spirit contact will be missed. The visual and auditory abilities are wonderful gifts but one should first develop and hone one's empathic abilities to be able to know and to feel what is around one.

Edit: fixed a misleading typo. Thanks majour ka for spotting it.

Pharoah, I've felt this aspect of the hair to be so for a very long time. I recall the feelings of loss of intellect and awareness when I cropped the hair that I had grown so long that it was almost half way down my back. Many times since, I've grown a beard when I've known that a difficult coding or programming task was due and soon felt the boost in relevant abilities.

When I first had an interface with a guide, I had the feeling that we had known one another for a very, very long time, many thousands of years. I was surrounded by and infused by a feeling of love which was painful to part with as we separated.

It's going to be a good one.

With DNA, it's not sufficient to have the DNA for a particular ability, you must also be able to express that DNA. DNA is, essentially, a recipe book for new protein formation as transcriptase reads it. The DNA is utterly useless unless a cell is made to look at it and read it, just as a recipe book is useless to someone with no cooking facilities.

By entering certain states, one can encourage the body to release triggering hormones. The triggering hormones enter the relevant cells and activate the builders within the cells to go and look at the DNA to make new proteins. Organs such as the hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal gland are sources of triggering hormones for much of the body's endocrine system. The article is interesting in suggesting a link between language and DNA expression. It doesn't seem to touch, however, on the highly disparate nature of the languages used by humans across the globe.

I was discussing chakras with a local healer. He suggested breathing in through the crown chakra and breathing out through the chakra of interest. Continue as long as desired.

I've heard that some even colour their bathwater for the same reason. :)

I've never tried to channel healing to elsewhere but I regularly ask Great Spirit and the higher beings of love and light to send love, light and blessings to my loved ones in spirit and I've had feedback that it's appreciated. I also regularly send love to spirit and I know that is appreciated.

Actually, come to think of it, the very first time I deliberately sent love into spirit for a specific reason it was because I knew that someone close needed help, so, as I reflect back, I have to consider that I was primarily sending healing. I also called on all those who had known her also to send love and energy.

If you feel the urge to send healing, energy, blessings or protection elsewhere then do it. Love should be dispensed far and wide at all times.

These past months, I don't feel comfortable without a candle or two burning on either side of me. I don't yet use them for meditation but I draw a comfort from their presence.

Thanks, everyone. I seem still to be here after these many months and this forum is one of the few windows I keep open in my browser.

I've even begun to read some of Beavis's treatises. :)

Your comment, "it's life changing and wonderful" raised an alert for me. Discovering spirituality and the expanded reality can be life-changing and there is no closing the box, once it's been opened. I'd suggest that you be aware of and guard against simply growing apart from your husband as you, effectively, leave him behind on your life's path.

The solution that Lionheart and his partner have found does work for many. The grounded partner can continue to provide support and keep the more enlightened one from forgetting that they are still living a life here. Their love and shared understanding can help to keep them together and growing together.

I can only offer my current understanding of this, rather than knowledge...

When you die, your loved one might be in a higher state than you are, such that you are unable to go visit them. However, a directed thought should always still reach them and they should be able to come to visit you. If you find that you are in a higher state than they are then the situation will be reversed.

You should always be able to have contact with your loved ones. If they are currently incarnate, you will be able to come down to our vibration to visit them or you can see them when they sleep.

From what I've read, perfect recall is an aspect of being spirit. You should never forget anyone or anything. It is possible that you will lose "interest" in someone and thus have no further wish for contact with them. It would likely be mutual in such a circumstance.

We come back here to progress and to learn. I once considered that we only truly learn from experience when there is a possibility of failure or loss: the difference between learning combat in the classroom or in the barroom. There is no failure in spirit and so learning is slower and suffering is impossible. We cannot be tested in spirit and so overcome personal issues. I know this is vague but I'm still trying to think and feel my way through it.

I'm also finding that I have amnesia when I come out of the vision. A couple of days ago, I was contemplating something in my life and I allowed myself to drift quite deeply, to the point where visions could typically begin, and came back again. Despite that I had followed a line of thought in getting there, I lost all memory of my thoughts whilst there and also for a short while before, although I did recall that I had continued to think and have thoughts. I managed to reconstruct the line of thought prior to getting to the dream-state but could not bring back anything from being there.

One vision I did hold onto after coming out of it was: I had found myself approaching someone who was sitting on a wall and looking out to sea. As I approached, he turned around and waved me away. As I later thought about it, the feeling was that the person was me and that I was being told that I wasn't yet ready.

Meanwhile, I continue to let it happen and try to hold onto something in the half-second or so (maybe less) that I seem to have after leaving the dream-state before amnesia wipes it all.

The problem for the average citizen, though, Rudolph, is that there's zero accountability. If "the government" says you're a terrorist then they can hold you for an indefinite period without further discussion. You have no right or ability of appeal. You have no rights in the matter at all. The bill is a contravention of the Bill of Rights.

I might be getting confused with the UK version of this bill but I understand that it's even a crime for anyone else to talk about your detention and they too can be held for doing so. The bill means that anyone can be taken and held simply on the say-so of someone in government.
