I set things up to have my alarm wake me up at 3. At 3 I woke, then went back to sleep but didnt project. However at 9 in the morning I found I was in mild paralysis. Being careful not to try to move my body before separating, I started doing deep breaths.
I switched between astral and physical vision more or less at random. I found that when I looked at myself with astral vision I could see my physical body and my astral hands were fuzzy, like red and yellow sand being swirled in a cup of water. I felt a little extra pressure when my hands passed through my body. When I separated and got up I looked at my body, all I could see was the red/yellow swirly thing where my body should have been.
I got up and walked through the window, this caused an accidental reality shift. I was in a western type of environment similar to colorado. I flew up and looked at the scenery, then down into the ground. Underground it was dark and I got lost so I thought of my body and teleported back.
I got up again and made a mirror on the wall to look at myself. I was a little younger and more built, my hairstyle was a mix of my current style and the one I had before it.
I attempted to heal certain parts of me but found that there wasn't anything to be healed. I expected there to be some damage and began imaginig it, then the damage appeared.
However it was not real damage and the projection ended soon after. I think that you can kill a projection by imagining stuff in the RTZ that's not actually there. When you start to access your imagination for info rather than your senses, you lose the connection with the astral and the projection blips out.
I think that's the reason my projections have been short so far. A lot of times as soon as I get there I materialise a hand using my imagination. That cuts my projection short.
The solution is to get there and stare at something and absorb all the info you can about it to make it as real as possible with no imaginary interference. That will maybe strengthen your connection to the astral and make the projection last longer.
That also means that any time your projection ends without you wanting it to end, the last 30 seconds or so of the projection were probably your imagination and not the astral. So if you're researching things in the RTZ or Akashic records and you lose your connection, throw out the last minute of information you collected because it's probably corrupted by imaginary input.
Stuff I did the night before that may have affected things: I had taken a bunch of melatonin to subvert insomnia, I had also done some aerobics before going to bed in order to work off a greasy sub sandwich I'd eaten. I think that limbering yourself up and getting circulation flowing does help to prepare you for an easier projection.
