Hi,

I understand your concerns. Actually, I could find a lot information on this Website. Check this article by Robert Bruce about astral entities.
http://www.astraldynamics.com/forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=&TOPIC_ID=745

Read this post about astral dangers that really helped me a lot.

You have the Treatise on OBE that you can read
http://www.astraldynamics.com/

I think after reading that, you'll have a much better idea of what is AP.

My interest in spirituality in general comforts me because I just did not want to believe in the different religions the man has created. Christianism, with its hell and other rules, is not better than another religion to me. Now I can believe in a God or Power that corresponds better to my needs and beliefs and I am so happy about it, I feel as if at last there is something for me in spirituality.

I have my own rituals that are not meaningless to me, my own good values that are not dictated by the Pope.

Thank you for your answers. They confirmed what I thought.

I guess this is where I am now, ready to start meditation. I don't know why but I was not so interested in meditation, maybe because i feel I must have a lot of time available for practice. But after months of reading about OBEs and energy work (this I am doing every day), I feel the need to go one step forward. For now, I simply don't know how to start. I guess I will buy a few books and learn by myself.

I'd like to feel that I have more control on my life and on my spirituality too. I think reading all the messages on this board convinced me that meditation could help.

Thank you all.

Yesterday night when I went to bed I had a flash too in my closed eyes. I thought it was lightning outside but no.  I've been practising the NEW method for a couple of weeks and I thought it was related because at the time of the flash, I felt a strong tingling sensation on one finger.

I hope Adam is right.

But I would like to know more about it, if anyone experienced something like that.

Hi,

I think why Robert Bruce suggested to try during the day was an advice for the scared ones. If I remember well, he was talking about sunlight, saying that if by accident there is an entity in the building or in your house, it would be easy for you to just go outside. That negative entities are rarely found in the full sunlight.

I hope it helps you.

Welcome to Dreams! / Idea...

Hi DjMidgetMan,

I was wondering if you had maybe another technique for lucid dreams.

You see, when the alarm rings, it wakes me up so brutally that here is no way I can go back to sleep right away, my heart beating prestty fast.

I am trying to tell myself "tonight I will be conscious in my dreams" but it has not worked yet.

Hi Mozia,

I do not have an answer to your question but I am a smoker too and I am eager to hear what people can say about it.

I've been trying to have an OBE for 2 months now, 4 to 5 times a week.
I know that the more you are healthy, the more it helps, but I do not know what are the real impacts of smoking. On the other hand I am vegetarian so I hope it helps.

Hello Frank,

You say "Big problem is, many people get locked into having these experiences. What they fail to fathom is that they, themselves, are creating the whole episode. The experiences *are* very real and it is only natural for them to think they are being picked-on by demons, and such like. "

It is exactly why I need to know all you explained.
Thank you very much.
This was all really helpful to me.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for trying so hard to make me understand how it works in the astral. I do understand the thought issue, but your message gave me the impression that every encounter - good or bad, is created by one's thoughts.

If you could help me complete correctly this list, it would help me. I think my reason demands very clear classification of every living encounters one can meet in the astral. I don't know if it is that important but I want to know.

There would be :

1. Other projectors -real
2. Inhabitants of the astral - real (dead people, etc.)
3. Encounters totally created by the subconscious - not real (Alice Wonderland)
4. Encounters created (or attracted?) by one's thought - not real (like your dragons)

What do you think Frank? Am I close to the truth?

Thank you again for your help.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Death

I'll tell you what I think.
I don't believe in hell either.

I've read in a book about souls the story of a man who commited suicide in his past life and was hypnotized to know what happened. Actually, we can read the dialogue he had with his guide after his past death.

It shows that he had to have an explanation with his guide about his failure to complete his mission on earth. He would then regress in his evolution (this is if you believe in reincarnation) and would have to try again in another life. His guide was not proud of him and made him analyze what he did.

The difference with you is that the guy commited suicide to escape from a difficult life.

In your case, I totally agree with fallnagel77. I don't think commiting suicide to help others is a good way to help. You should not "sacrifice" your entire life to this point for someone else, maybe your role is rather to help her go through this with your experience. Tell her beautiful stories about the astral plane. You know I am not ill, I am not dying, and reading all I read made me much more comfortable with death. I guess it could be very helpful and hopeful for someone dying.

There are a lot of books about how the dead beloved come to welcome you in the new world. This could help her feel she will not be alone.

I am not sure I understand...
You want to commit suicide to wait for her???

But  let's say I am able to control my thoughts well enough, but that once I just can't. I am totally scared. The creature knows it of course.

I read that the worst thing that can happen is that I wake up very tired, the creature having drained some of my energy. Is it so? Is it really the worst that can happen?

What about those creatures attached to some people feeding of their energy? Would they do that even though the victim had not visited the Astral? In other words, can the visits in the Astral "provoke" such things or everyone can have this problem without necessarily knowing it?

Wow. Thank you Frank!

I think I really understand now. I think I will practice this in my everday life. I am sure it can help because not having had my first OBE yet I can only think it must be pretty hard not to think "God!What the hell is that?!?!" in front of a strange creature or think how frightened what I am seeing make me feel.

I am happy too to be able to prepare before experiencing an OBE. I think everyone should do so because what we "expect" is less surprising when we see it.

It is great to be able to get advices and information from experienced people. Thank you.

Hi Telecaster,

I think the trees were thought forms. Robert Bruce talks about it in the Treatise on OBE. Here is what he says about it:

"If a physical object has been around for a very long time, it will have grown a lasting thought form impression in the astral. After the object is destroyed or removed, its thought form still endures. You may, for example, in the astral, find furniture in your house you don't have, jumbled up with your own. This is caused by the decaying thought forms of old stuff, belonging to previous tenants etc, still being there, years after the originals have gone."

Thank you very much Frank for the information. You reinforced my will of going in the astral. The more I know about all those phenomenons the more I'll prepare my mind to face what I can expect.

I understand that CONTROL of my emotions is the key. I'll work on that.
#69
But none of you have the sensation of someone watching you while in an OBE? I have read that at different places.
#70
Yes, here is the reference.

http://www.tanega.com/astral/signpost.html

I quote :

"The Watcher. I am not using this term with reference to a particular belief system. Some religions or groups might also use the term. I am using it in an experiential sense. When I project, I feel the presence of my own "Watcher" which is a part of "me" but not part of my ordinary thinking mind. It is there when I project, dream, sleep, think, daydream, work... always. This may have been my own "Higher Self"... I don't know. After this article was first posted, someone suggested that the term "Monitor" was more appropriate. I think that in truth that no term is sufficient. You could call it "the part of you that can't be named but you know its there at all times and is incredibly wise and powerful and ageless...."

And also I am reading a book right now which is "the art of dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda. In the book, the author talks about the constant presence of a kind of a watcher. He can talk to this watcher and ask questions. This watcher is supposed to know what the dreamer knows itself, but may formulate it in another way.

Does it sound familiar to any of you?
