sorry man just popped into my mind. I kinda like the idea of Star Wars NOT being our future. But other than that, I can't really help you with your question about god in star wars ... I wouldn't really think too much about it - it's just a bunch of movies, right? I mean one shouldn't put too much meaning into something like that - imagine you wrote a book just to entertain people, and everybody's trying to find some hidden meaning in every word and scene ... I think that would really tinkle me off ... or make me laugh real good.

hmm now that you mention that tug or pulse ... I'm still learning OBE and lucid dreaming (with my own fear holding me back alot) and I remember a dream during a nap once where my friends passed a joint on to me which they claimed was laced with cocaine or something (not that I'd ever try cocaine) well I toked up a few times and mentioned that I don't feel anything, and they told me to take deeper breaths and hold it longer, so I did and I got that weird feeling of my mind being pulled from my body ... at the time I thought it was the drugs, but maybe that was some sort of akashik pulse ...

from personal experience, the best way to avoid a hangover is to pass out drunk at a party, going to the hospital for observation (thank god they didn't have to pump ), freaking out all of your friends and being the object of ridicule and embarrassement for many years to come! You'll never have a hangover again - because you'll stop drinking for good!

It's true that these horror-articels will get people paranoid and frightened; but then again it's good to know what may happen to you and how to get out of there ... it's a 'golden mean' thing, I think.

funny you should start a thread on drugs and the spirit world, because just yesterday I had a good experience with that ....
I bought an ounce of calea zacatechichi (dream herb) some time ago, and while it hasn't increased my dream recall or lucidity, smoking it gave me a light, marijuana-like high (legal & no paranoia!).
The only problem was that when smoking outside in the dark at night got me somewhat afraid - so yesterday at night I lighted up a calea-joint and called upon the calea z. - spirit. Funny thing is, I had a great conversation with the spirit, where I told him I'd be more respectful towards the herb in the future and I asked hime to give me sound sleep and some funky dreams that night.
Well I might just have been talking with my subconscious mind, but the conversation got me very mellow and made all my previous fears go away.
I think making peace with the spirit of the drug/plant you are using helps a lot in creating peace of mind and a good ... 'trip'.
I'll see what the hawaiian baby woodrose - spirit has in store for me, next

whoa are you guys talking about images behind your closed eyelids?? That'd be neat ... normally my imagination only takes part in my head ... I mean I can 'vizualize' pretty good, but it's all 'up there' in my head, not actually in fron of my closed eyelids.
That kind of stuff only happend once in a while when my point of awareness shifts from my eyes to my head completely, like the onset of a WILD (usually I only get pictures that last a split.second before I realize I am dreaming and wake up) ...

It was a very memorable day for me, even though I live here in Austria, Europe.
I had been on a little hike in the woods, and comig back I saw the news on CNN ... tragic, that.
It's just one of those things where everybody remembers what he/she was doing at the time, like the moon-landing, the kennedy-assassination, or (to a lesser extent) the death of Princess Di.
It's really sad that it's mostly negative stuff that just impresses itself on your mind and soul and keeps lingering there ...
I feel for the victims, and for the families of the victims, even though I am against the US bashing other countries for any reason, and tend to think of such occurences as 'excrement happens!'
