Hi everyone!

I have been thinking about simultaneous incarnations recently. If all of our incarnations are simultaneous, and we are only aware of the recent ones experiences on a conscious level, does it mean that after we are no longer able to perceive the physical through our presently operating bodies (yeah, I mean, when we "die"), we have completed our learning cycle on Earth? I mean, maybe I am not my final incarnation or a "graduate", since she is a whore in Medieval France for example, but since all this experience-gathering happens simultaneously, you don't have to put the final piece of the puzzle to it's place since one of your other incarnations will do it.

So are all of our incarnations final incarnations :)?

cheers

I have an intricate plot involving a plastic spork and a tunnel I've been working on the past several months hidden behind the fax machine in the room beyond the security door. It is estimated that I will reach daylight in a few days.

No, seriously, I just put in my 2 weeks notice and hope that I have enough saved to still pay my student loans until I have an income again.

I should have thought of plastic forks instead of using my own teeth and nails  :|....

I use binaurals to block the environmental sounds but I always listen to the sounds in my own head.

Hey there!

I kind of have the same problems with noticing. When I lay down and close my eyes, the swirling starts in no time. If I focus on it or focus on a given point in my field of view, they just vanish after a while. Although patterns of dim colors might appear here and there or the swirling grey circles seem to approach me as if I would travel through a tunnel.

But. If I try to silence my thoughts or focus on a mantra all these things just vanish. They keep coming if I don't focus on them and I keep the chatter in my mind under "threshold". No thoughts - undifferentiated blackness. Transient, short ones - grey swirling. Same things happen when I listen to music which doesn't contain vocals. That's when I decide that I had enough of noticing and try mental rundowns to detach my awareness from my physical body and I can reach the point when I don't feel it at all, I just know that I lay there, but I always fall asleep at that point. Well, not always, sometimes I am aware of the fact at this point that I kind of create the mental scenario I have but I just don't seem to bother to take control over it.

And yeah, I have been struggling with conscious exit for almost a year. I had spontaneous ones, lucid dreams, but that's it.

Welcome in the club :)!

I think it shouldn't be your concern. If it is good for them, let them have their way. On the other hand, pointing out others' "lies" and "flaws" might also be ego driven, since you assume you know it better. And yeah, they will probably get offended and won't even listen, no matter how you approach the subject. Seems like a waste of time to me  8-).

But yeah, honesty is always the best policy when it comes to YOU. Be honest with yourself. I think it takes so much courage that you won't be bothered with the rest :).

I kinda feel the same. Never been thinking about myself as a human being, a man or a woman. I just can't identify with these roles and norms and expectations etc... Never been able to fit in, but I feel so much better now that I stopped trying :)! I feel like I'm wired differently. I can't care to talk about the things in life which I consider as mundane. I don't watch TV and don't even know what is going on in the city I live in since I find it very irrelevant. Doesn't affect me on a daily level. I am fed up with people talking about each other. But I just try to accept them the way they are, I mean the way I see them, since I think they are just the way you want to see them; and not to judge, 'cause I don't want to become cynical and poison myself with that.

I was wondering about this prison thing recently. What if all this let us grow and level up thing is just part of the trick, and we are prisoners for real, and this isn't our personal learning ground but little golden cage, and we are all being punished to reside in this physical form. I know, I know, it is a privilege to be here. Whatever  8-). I can enjoy it, and I am totally satisfied with the little things or just being, but I've got these burning questions about existence since I was 4, and just can't take the you-are-where-you-should-be and you-just-simply-can't-comprehend-that-yet type of answers. I mean, can you really take that? Isn't that driving you batshit crazy deep down in your core? Not because it is offending my ego. I know that a bacteria in your gut doesn't need to worry about your well being, but who said that this bacteria can't be curious as hell?

Hello Rain, try watching this video in a full screen at least once a day. It is a excellent way to learn "noticing". It teaches you how to passively observe without loosing total focus.

At first it's kind of hard to watch and stay with the focus target, but as you practice with it, you learn to control your focus much better.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Thank you, I will use it!

Ohh man, I had so much trouble in my childhood with these and I've never been able to solve them. But now it took me approx 5 minutes to succed. I so wish I knew you back in the day :D..... I'm sure this will improve my noticing ability :)!

And what do you think about the reason for "being trapped" in such a trap? Are we young fragments of consciousness who needs to develop in order to "leave the trap"? Are we punished for something and we are "locked up" here in order to keep us from causing trouble elsewhere? Or why?

Yepp, thanks for posting, I just become aware in my afternoon nap while listening to them  8-).

Nope didn't offend me either. :-D Made me laugh, as I was going to write 'too honest?' on the end of my comment, as I've noticed how in social situations attempts at being candid about what you feel can result in people feeling rather uncomfortable around you.

Eww, I have noticed that also. I just  turned my life into a Brazilian soap opera recently, due to sharing my opinion and I ended up being an emotional mess-up for weeks. Which in turn decreased my dream awareness and recall to zero  :?. But now I'm back on track, I just woke up from a lucid dream ...

For me even a "simple" novel changes it's meaning if a read it again let's say a few years later. Which shows that you change, experience and due to this interpret things differently with all that under your belt.

But I agree with Lionheart, the same applies to a lot of things. Maybe everything if you examine it carefully.
#65
Maybe if a lot of us come to the same conclusion it shows that there might be some truth to it. Or it shows that sooner or later we'll all reach the same dead end. At the and of the day, how could you tell
#66
Okay, I am still confused, but I didn't mean to offend anyone with that or suggest that you are not honest with yourself. I just think that the human psyche has it's own tricky ways of working and it is a brave thing to try to examine it unbiasedly.

Good luck m4rt1n!  :-D

:| Probably a comment stemming from insecurities of my own ideas about a topic I don't feel confident enough about to speak openly on with any real conviction in my own thoughts & ideas! :-D

LOL :D! I LOVE it when people dare to be honest with themselves! Keep it up!

I didn't mean to promote caffeine, I was just trying to give him ideas and to plant the seed in his head that he should experiment and see what happens  8-).
#70
Why would it be a sucky one when it's working for you  8-)? I think there is no one here who would disagree with personalizing methods/coming up with your own one.
#71
Okay, I thought you just wake up, turn around in bed and fall asleep. My point was to actually get out of bed. Stay awake for a while, consume some caffeine, go about your day, and when you become sleepy again - that is your time for practice. Another option is that instead of practicing in your bed, choose another location. You are conditioned to SLEEP in your bed in the first place - I guess  8-) - so this makes it harder to stay awake.
#72
Use an alarm clock to wake you up during the night. Place it outside your reach so you will have to get up actually to turn off the bastard when it goes off  8-).

Where exactly is the torture part in that one?

Making him put on that leather stuff - now that's what I call torture ...

(Okay, I'm finished.)

Yeah... Could you tell us please what exactly he is wearing now?
