Buddism has alot of good knowledge in the religion, but as far as fallowing it as a religion, I agree with Akensai, just be free and walk your own path. I always try to keep an open mind and experiance everything. It is worth reading into there are alot of great buddist qoutes and knowledde but as far as it being my path it wasn't. I hope that helps.

Some things are easier said then done. Try preaching change to people and they laugh at you. Other things are easy to do though. Like I drive 4cyl engines that polute less and get better gas milage. I wouldn't mind having a hybrid, but they don't make it for a truck. I would ride a bike but well I live in phoenix, az, it would take forever to get to work. It would be nice to have one of those hydrogen gas powered vehicles, but still you are depleating the earth of hydrogen most likely. I recycle and throw away as little as possible. However my work doesn't care, 1000's of water bottles and batteries get thrown away daily and they don't care and mentioning recycling does nothing. So it is alot easier said then done, most of the time you just preach to deaf ears and stubborn people that just don't care. For the most part if we got rid of the greedy people in power, we could make alot of changes without changing our life alot. We chould switch most of our generators for power over to wind, water and sun powered. Car could be hydrogen or battery powered. Right there would get rid of most of the polution.  However the only time this will happen is when the oil reserves run out.  But I think the only way would be revolution and a showing of a better way to people before a change would happen soon. So yeah, it's alot easier said then done.

Yeah I think I was going a little too extream but I think we need to do some changes and I think we are far too advanced for the monitary system we live on. Also I think there would be less obsolete stuff getting thrown away if the comercialism would stop. Anyways my point was I think we need change and wanted to know what other people think. I like you reponse on one way of change and I think that it is a very good start.

The thing is we have the ability to change now and we don't. There are battery powered cars that can go as fast as you want them too and last 3 weeks. Hydrogen powered generators and even cars. However we still use gasoline and pollute and plurge our world of it's resources. The people in power don't want things to change. For example there was this guy who had a numatic generator. It basically just needed a jump start every 3 months or longer, by a v8 engine to get it up to speed and it had magnets to keep it spinning and generate energy and it had enough to power 29 homes. Well the US government got wind of it and took it away and warned him he would be locked up for a long time if he made another one. Bush says we need more diesel power plants and alternative natural energy is not good enough. Now why would he do that when there is better things out there. Anyways my whole point is we have the means to change but we are brainwashed but the wrong people and it will be our undoing. But yes there is always hope we will change, however will it be in time is the real question.

I feel exactly the same way. I know there is something totally wrong with this world. I try to do my best to help and change things, but most of the time I get kicked to the ground.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / god: real or not
February 04, 2004, 04:37:35
here is how I see it. I am a big person on science. If you go by science there is no proof of god. If you go by religions, there has been no sign of one recently and if there was it was on a local level. So basically that god(s) created us with free will and everything is spontaneious. So basically they don't want you worshipping them, they gave you a life with free will. If a god did make of help make any of these religions the point was lost. In every religion they are never really about that god is the only way to believe but more a moral teachings to be a decent person or spiritual enlightenment. Not to argue or war over who's god is right. If that god wanted to prove that he would show him self. So the way I see if from either a scientific point or religion is to keep an open mind, live a good life and to the fullest, help others, and try to be the best person that you can, and when I am dead I will know the truth. It's pointless to argue what we don't know and haven't gotten to the next state of existance whatever that may be. If there is a god well then he won't persecute you for not believing in him and whatever the next state is, if you kept that open mind and not believing something is definately the right religion and that was set in stone, well you don't feel stupid in believing something that was wrong and you move on. That is my opinion at least.

I do agree that man kind needs to evolve. We are in a slump that man kind has never been in before. However I fear that mustard is right and we will create our own destruction and I honestly don't see how we will make it another 100 years the way we are. I think I read somewhere that we have like less than 10 years of oil reserves left. Yet we keep using them. There are other means of power yet we are convinced and really have no choice but to use gasoline and oil consumption. Money is the start of the problem in society, second by artificial objects as mustard put it and between the two we rob our planet and ourselves of evolution. I feel lost and helpless to try to change anything.  They say one voice can make a difference, but try telling someone there is a better life without money and riches and they call you a communists. Anyways that is just my thought, there are a great few people that could change this world but they get lost in the ignorance of the rich and powerful and makes me loose all hope for humanity.

yeah ear plugs do help out alot. However after working for the railroad and waring them for almost a whole 8hr shift, I can't take those things anymore...lol
#63
it can be useless if not used right or at all, but you can use empathic abilities to help others. I don't think that is useless.

Yup puttting the old ball and chain on. But at least it is with a good women. Thank you for wishing me well.

I thought this was new too at first. They should let the people do what they were calling for, public stoning and then he would be dead.

I believe that harlequin_star is right. I believe that we are going to more be judged on our actions and how good of a person we are then on what we believe in. There are too many wars and arguments over religion. I often think the world would be a better place if they were never made up. Everyone obviously misses the point of every religion it's not to point out who is right. The bible for instance(weither it is fiction or real I am not debating that) is about teachings of being a better person and it does say believe in god too, but most of it is about being a good person. All religions are like that. I do believe the best thing to do is keep an open mind, and be a good helpful person. No whatever the afterlife is and god(s) can persecute you for being a good person and trying to do good in the world. I do believe in the more good energy that you put out, the more that comes back to you and that is proven no matter what religion you believe in.

I am not the most knowledgable at this but I will attempt to help start with something. It could very well be some sort of schizophrenia or any classic neurosis or psychosis in a worst case. However her third eye could be overacted and she could be feeding off of negative energy and seeing it in the wrong way. Along with the third eye being opened she could be going into another astral plane in and out at random. As for what plane she is going into and why it is always bad I don't know enough yet to answer. How long exactly has this been going on and has she had any treatments. Also does she go to any other type of realities that are better? Also hopefully someone else will take over from where I left off.

Life_afterdeath I find it hard to reach a good meditation level too, is your mind always clouded with thoughts that are hard to get out? Also when I try to meditate and can actually clear my mind something will pop in to disturb me weither it is an image or thought from someone else, or a vision of something to come. Do you have problems like that? thanks,

Robert

Well I have recently started reading Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce and in the OBE section, it talks about seeing images in another plane that come up as specks, flakes, and so on. I haven't had the time or well am too destracted with wedding, future homes, and so on to get into it like I need to. My other source for the same info has been reading post on here. But from what I have read that is a good book and everyone seems to recommend it alot. Hope that helps.

I see the furture alot. Most of my life is deja vu, but seems I haven't taken the time to right down my dreams, that is how it stays that way. Now I get two types of visions of the future, the first is in dreams, some I remember others I don't. For example I remember a dream where I was yelling at this guy in a place I did not know and was very angry with him, and I rarely, rarely get angry. A year later I moved in with that guy but didn't realize it was him. about 5 months later that same incident happened and it freaked me out because I remembered that dream with the same moment. If I would have written down my dreams and started recording stuff to remember more, I might have prevented that from ever happening. Another time that sticks out most was right before the elections for when bush got elected. I had a dream he won the election and started what I said was ww3 with the middle east, and this would all start by an attack on our land. I told people this and sure enough Bush got elected and then he started not ww3 but I guessed there, but a war with Iraq and that till this day has still shocked all my friends. Then I get stupid stuff like my sister breaking up with her b/f and I am like didn't need to know that. The other type of visions I get is like what I call warning visions. Sometimes not enough ti help me totally, but I will see what is bad that is going to happen right before it does, now the most time I get is like 10 minutes and the least is a few seconds, but it has saved me alot. I have found when I am tired and too distracted it helps me the least, and they come barely in time, however when my mind is actually clear, I get them way ahead of time. Hope this adds to the discussion. However I have another question, if my lack of stopping things from happening or changing what I saw the lack of me writting down and remembering them correctly or are they really just set in stone as some people say. thanks.

I have seen snow flake like stuff before too. Don't know too much of what it is, but from some of the reading I have done, it's seeing something that is in another astral plane and you are wondering somewhat in that plane but not enough to see what it is. I'll let you know if I find more but hope that helps for now.

I agree with chicnstu, think less. I have that problem, when you think too much you cloud the minds clarity and it becomes harder to do things. Try to become more relaxed, the shaking it more likely from thinking too much and not being fully relaxed and clear the mind and enkoy the moment. Hope that helps.

I don't have much experiance in this, but thought I would at least say something. The women could be a guide or could be something trying to stop or sway you the wrong way. Best bet you be to see what the women has to offer and be on your guard to jet if it goes sour. If you don't like what she says you can always book it. Hope that helps.

You wouldn't have to destroy people. They just need re-education. I agree with FT though. Something needs to happen. This world just isn't right. It drives me nuts every day. I think that we are way too far advanced of a culture for this monitary system and government that we have. But as long as Rich jerks, conflicts with religion, brainwashing cooperate america and ingorant people are around the world will never change. Anyhow, I don't think as long as you did something in a fight club way where no one got hurt, I don't see how bad karma would happen. You'd free millions of people out of debt and screw the companies that screw us, so it's more likely bad karma coming to them.....j/k
