Welcome to Healing discussions! / Reiki Websites
January 30, 2004, 09:34:42
Mmmm. I've been browsing through Reiki websites, looking for some that are actually legitimate. I'm sure a lot of you have done the same.

I was first directed to www.sharereiki.org

This site seems pretty good, they do not offer Reiki attunements, however they do have a wealth of knowledge on the subject and a database of masters who are willing to give free remote attunements. I've tried to contact 2 of these masters (there are maybe 50, not including the message boards) and haven't heard back yet. Oh well.

Someone on a message board from THAT site directed someone else to www.reikisecrets.com

I tried to sign up for that, since I was directed from a legitimate site, but I haven't heard anything from them, and it seems pretty plausible that they're in it just to try to sell you their 50 dollar e-book reiki manual [:(!]

I also read on the ShareReiki message board about another site, http://www.xehupatl.com/

This website, too, seems quite legitimate. He emailed me back, was very polite, and performed an attunement for me at 10:00 this morning. I didn't feel much at all, at least, what I felt might have been psychosomatic, so I'm not going to give it the go-ahead yet, but... He does sell e-books on his website as well. Which is to say, he "recommends" them, and gives links. Each "recommendation" is a web page of the same style as all the others, and while browsing where I didn't belong (hee hee) I found a pdf document entitled, "How to get 10000 hits per day and raise your referrals even more!" [:(!]

Now, I don't know if he's just trying to make a bit of money, or something, the paypal donation would have been quite sufficient, I'm sure, but... It just seems like every site I try is in it for the money. I'd go to a real reiki master, i.e. an in-person one, but I'm a po' college student, and I've got no funds for something like that.

Does ANYONE know a reiki practicioner who does distance attunements for free? And is legitimate? Because after hours of searching, I can't seem to find any [B)]

Anyway, check these sites out, if you're interested in reiki... www.sharereiki.org is worth a visit at least. Please, by all means, share your web-reiki experience here, if you've got some.

I have a good friend, about 18 years of age. He is and always has been an avid martial artist, and as such, he knows himself very intimately. On a recent astral projection, however, he met his "id." The desire for more power, which, as a martial artist, I guess is natural, and his id is beginning to take hold. He's acting coldly towards all his friends and very depressed.

Now, it's pretty much a matter of time until he is completely overtaken, and I just need some advice on what to do! I remembered this web site where I first learned to raise energy so long ago, and when I noticed the forum link, I hoped someone could help me.

Please remember that this is an integral part of him, the id is in all of us, it is our deepest desire. It must not be destroyed or banished, but simply... Put back in its place, I should say.

I've tried to rearrange his aura in a projection, but it was quickly undone. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to lose this very good friend of mine!

Welcome to Metaphysics! / What could all this mean

And what a wise concern THAT is.

Mmm, yes, this track worked very well for me! Without concentrating on falling into trance, this track did the work in that department for me! I also felt many energetic sensations that I don't normally when raising energy. For example, somewhere around the solar plexus tone, I felt energy "arc", much as high voltage electricity does, from my lower leg to my upper leg, under my knee. Very strange sensation, one I've never had before. And the tones do seem to correspond to my chakras, perhaps because you said they would and I believed you, I don't know why. I didn't remember the entire post, and started concentrating on the base chakra at about the time the high-pitched tone faded in, so when the base chakra tone started, it actually did seem to stimulate my base chakra. I could feel myself pulsing with the beats of the tones.

I'd say it's a winner.

It's not that icky, once you get past the innate grossness of devouring something that came from your own body.

I mean, it's not full of waste material... It's actually got a lot of stuff in it that's vital to your health. Besides, I don't take it straight. I definitely dilute it, and if I'm feeling particularly under the weather, I put in a bit of vodka [;)]

I don't know if I'd do it every day as prescribed, I've only ever done it when I have the flu or a bad cold. It's not like I drink every drop I produce, anyway. It definitely gets rid of sickness really quickly and (relatively) painlessly.

It is still kinda gross to me, but I'm concentrating on all the good ingredients.

This post has been inactive for almost a year. I remember seeing the author make one post then never return. Kinda strange.

P.S. It tastes like salt water mouth wash.

quote:
A better way is to bathe him in the the pure white light of love. Let him see the errors of his own ways. Even the most evil people are affected by this technique, they have no defense against it.

I don't like it when people say that. It may work against negs, but against people, it's practically naive to say things like that. My girlfriend's mom has been a thorn in my side for a long time, and I consider her to be unreasonable, selfish, domineering, and all manner of other poor-parent qualities. The fact that I have been nothing but polite and respectful has no fazed her one iota. It's like pitting the white dove of peace against a raging bull. True, love is stronger than a white dove, and my girlfriend's mom is less strong than a bull (probably...), but the idea is the same. If I can't affect her within the basic physical realm, the one in which she dwells exclusively, I think it foolish to think that bathing her in metaphysical love will change anything.

Everyone loves to say that things have no defense against love. But who needs to defend against something they can ignore? My advice is to not hurt him physically. It's obvious you're willing to suffer the karmic repercussions of your actions, and that alone is proof of your determination. But remember what your goal is. You don't want him gone (well, you do, but). You just want him to stop his meddling ways. Try using more imagination than just illness... Energy can take any form/program you want it to.

If I was in your situation, which I am (to a lesser degree), I wouldn't try to make him sick, or cause harm, or give him bad luck, or anything like that. What's that going to do? Irritate him. And you know exactly who he'll take it out on.

You don't want retribution. Ok, you think you do, but it's not a well thought out action. What you WANT is for the situation to change for the better, and anything you do to make him suffer will just end up hurting your girlfriend, her mom, and you through his increased agitation. I agree that you should send energy to his subconscious, or visit his dreams while he sleeps and influence a revolutionary dream (OBE... Just give it a shot! It's cool!). If all else fails, you can plant some orgonite (which is cheap to make and buy, generally) in and around his house. Unless his buffer zone against the metaphysical is really THAT strong (i.e. he never, ever, even once considered that psychic phenomena might be real), he will be forced to either lighten up, or leave that location.

I've got a link to a classic self-help book around here somewhere... Let me dig it up while I write this post.

William Atkinson, anyone? In this classic e-book entitled "Thought Vibrations," he deals with fear and systematically lays out how it's the root of all negative thought.http://www.xehupatl.com/download_files/freebooks/classics/William%20Atkinson%20-%20Thought%20Vibration.pdf

It's a very interesting read and a great way to get on the road to making you the master
of your fear, instead of letting fear be your master.

I'll let the book speak for itself, to those who care to take a look.

Well, when you fill the sub-navel, Robert Bruce says that it does also spill over into the rest of your chakras. However, the sub-navel does not have to be full in order for that to happen. I suppose it's like a small, planned leak to the rest of your chakras in order to better balance your growth. If you're doing the full body circuit, you're building up the head portion of the energy body anyway.

Ha! Wow. I also meant to type that the NEW system really helps me stay healthy with regular practice.

Unresolved issues should be dealt with. Heard it before?

It's a simple phrase, and powerful, but often hard to know the meaning of. Are there any relationships you're having problems with? Like, friends who don't seem as kind as they once were? Or perhaps friends to whom you have been less kind to? I know that personally, when I would hurt someone for seemingly no reason, simply because i felt justified, and not because any logical thought made it so, it would plague me and tug at the back of my mind until I set it right. These days, trying to stay on my own spiritual path, it's much easier to catch myself doing such things and correct them before I get too far past them. Maybe one day I'll be able to correct them BEFORE opening my big fat mouth.

Is there someone you despise? A person whom every time you think of them, you shudder and get angry? That, too, I've dealt with. A gay person (not that I mind, except...) who is the only one who thinks he's still in the closet. I honestly would have no problem if he didn't act so superior all the time, as though every day were gay pride day and everyone else was lower than he because of it. That's what I told myself anyway, but as it turns out I was hardening my heart against him and not judging him objectively, and based upon what? A few snooty comments? A couple of out-of-line remarks, and suddenly it's alright for my anger to boil for hours at a time? It took a long time for me to realize and get over that one, but I eventually did.

The (main) idea I'm trying to express is that these are the sort of things that you have to actively look for in your daily life. Chances are that sitting there thinking about it while reading this post, it won't really come to mind. But if you do experience yourself doing these things, stop and realize that you're above them. You're a human being, the finest (or lowest; your choice) life form on the planet. I don't subscribe to the theory that love overcomes all; in fact, I think it downright silly. But holding grudges and regretting the past will bog you down and create the metaphysical sludge.

Hmm. That went on for longer than expected. I really, really hope it helps.

Let me know how that thing works out! I am inherently distrustful of sites that charge that much money for items that offer quick fixes like that ELF generator business... I know for a fact that the cost of building materials for something like that multi-wave oscillator would be probably about a hundred dollars, and possibly less for a sensible shopper. The electrical circuit shown on the do-it-yourself page is exceedingly simple in design, and even the coil itself wouldn't take much time to construct. It just seems like a lot of money to charge for such a thing, especially since they profess their "open architecture" in such a benevolent manner. I think for payment of the magnitude they speak of in their site, a healthy amount of skepticism is a smart thing.

Its the 60Hz frequency that comes out of mostly all electronics that fucks up your brain and body.

Just wondering what you're basing that on?
#65
Haha, no, you misunderstand. I guess it's my fault, I was tired and sleepy...

I meant, it absorbs the negative energy waves as neutral or positive energy waves, adding them to your energy body's stockpile. I didn't mean for it to have a negative connotation.
#66
Actually, the unit I built was basically a zapper. I uses the same 15Hz square wave (sine waves are not referred to as pulses), but it doesn't have all the bells and whistles such as spherical crystals, orgonite, and a mobius coil to excite the whole shebang. I haven't hooked mine up to a mobius coil, as I said. I have some problems sorting fact from fiction regarding orgonite, and haven't experimented much with it. Perhaps once I get a little bit of money I'll buy some "tower busters" or whatever. I tried making a home-made mobius coil as per the instructions at http://www.littlemountainsmudge.com who apparently coined the term "orgonite", although I'd contest that the word is public domain. Anyhow, I twisted the wire into a "cable" as per the instructions before putting it into a coil, and I just can't seem to figure out how the durned thing is supposed to end up! The concept it's built on seems flawed, e.g. the coils running together... It doesn't hold up when you actually try to put it together.

I think you can actually buy pre-made mobius coils from little mountain smudge, but I don't know that they're made to spec either. If anyone wants, I'm not doing all that much besides college work these days, and this is an easy semester for me, so I can put together some of these little black-box zapper clones if anybody wants. All I ask is the cost of parts included. The experience and experimentation of different physical placement of components to save space would be worth it. My own one is a real mess inside, but it does work. I have an electronics lab on monday, so I'm going to hook up my mobius coil(plus resistor) to the device and check to see its effect on the oscilloscope. Usually when doing experiments, our results are compromised simply due to the electronic "noise" the fluorescent lights make, so I assume the oscilloscope is sensitive enough to pick up the scalar waves. I'll record the wave and upload screenshots of it if it's anything out of the ordinary, which it may or may not be.

Also, it may not be all that important how fast scalar waves move, depending on application. If you're using them to excite crystals or something, it's entirely possible that their speed doesn't factor into the effect you're trying to achieve, i.e. psi energy moves faster. Also, I don't agree that orgone is necessarily the same energy as psi energy, and certainly not the same as chi energy... The orgone researchers need to look into that a bit more thoroughly and not just place it in a broad category in order for it to be easily assimilated into dull peoples' minds.

One more thing... Did you know that Germany is the only nation in which the study of orgone is carried out in universities? I didn't. Maybe it's not true. Just a lil tidbit.

Yes, I think that several physical crystals would do the trick. If they are all programmed to help guide astral doubles to a single place, they could probably be very effective for those people for whom hypnosis does not work. I don't know all that much about crystals, but it seems that their main energy work is done in the astral anyway, so they could logically be used to help guide a person there. Practically speaking, it would probably involve the person having the crystal or stone near them, projecting out of their body, and then perhaps entering the stone as one would enter a virtual image, or perhaps the stone would give off a light of some sort whose direction could be followed (in the astral, the light could point past the first 3 dimensions and into the 4th or 5th, which would basically mean you phase anyway).

I don't think that a hypnotist would do that, as they are looking for more money anyway. There's probably a hypnotist on this forum, the one I mentioned I haven't seen in a while either here or on AIM. Uh, also, there's probably limits on exactly how based on the conscious mind a suggestion can be. For example, the subconscious can be told to stop smoking or eating impulses, and that it does because the subconscious is where those impulses originate. However, I don't think it works so well for helping along conscious activities, although I have certainly seen it take CONTROL.of conscious activities. Well, in any case it's still a plausible idea for helping with projection.

I'd just like to say that people have already created such devices. They are often electromagnetic in nature. They incorporate devices such as mobius coils and oscillating microchips to create a special type of electromagnetic wave form known as the "scalar wave". Apparently these are great for psi applications, however at higher voltages they can damage electronics. I actually built a little unit for myself (I'm an electronics major in college) out of a timer chip and some radio shack parts, and the results have been quite... Enticing?
It sends out electromagnetic signals (I didn't add a mobius coil emitter yet) which oscillate at 15Hz, which is supposedly a frequency that is omni-benevolent to humans and omni-malevolent to negs and all things vile in nature. I found that before I had pinpointed the frequency within about 5% (The original circuit based on non-variable parts, which actually ended up oscillating at about 17 Hz... The new one incorporates variable resistor trimmers to oscillate at about 15.02Hz... or so says the oscilloscope [:P]) the device was painful to wear. I would wear it to bed on my foot, and it would wake me up in the middle of the night for the pain it was giving me, off a single 9v battery. Once I nearly pinpointed the frequency (2Hz is not a large difference!!), it became actually pleasant to wear. It's been keeping me in pretty good health so far, and the pulses are positive-nil, not positive-negative in nature, so all the signals you get are positive. It makes for a nasty static shock when you touch the floor in the morning, though.

Reports indicate that mobius coils can be employed to excite crystals and orgonite as well. I'll find the truth of that out for myself as soon as I get the unit back from a friend who's checking it out right now.

Anyway, if you want to read more about it, you can at http://www.educate-yourself.org

A lot of the stuff on the site seems very far-fetched, even to me, but it has great information on keeping your human machine running in peak condition.

Hope this helps!

Hehehe! It seems to be just about your age that people start to get interested. I don't know if it's a psychic awakening or a psychological lust for power, but either way it's a hard path to walk if you want to gain proficiency. I personally am 19, first read Robert Bruce's works like 3 years ago, and I'd still consider myself a newbie.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Crystals
September 25, 2004, 00:07:47
I have to agree with Mustang on his point. It's true that it's easy to make fun of new age types (if you want to label yourself as such.. I don't know much about how people usually think about "new agers", I'm just doing things through intuition). But that's also part of the mindset, a sort of rising above. It's always easy for skeptics to say we're all just using double-speak, but they've never proved us wrong, just as we haven't necessarily objectively proved them wrong. As far as that goes, I feel the topic has been and is at a standoff, and the best thing to do is concentrate your personal energies elsewhere instead of try to "prove" almost purely subjective matter to people who don't want to believe it anyway.

But the idea of an objective test is a tough one. I completely agree that it should be done; but the problem lies in the fact that the whole concept and action of "psi" is carried out almost excluseively internally. With a practice so individually based, it's hard to get an objective measurement. Another problem is the human thought process; generally people who deny the existence of or don't think about things in the psi category "unmake" effects upon them by doing so. It's not a conscious thing for all but the most stalwart objectors, but it makes even the possibility of having a "control group" of people who aren't acquainted with such practices almost absurd.

I agree that there definitely has to be a way to find an objective view on the subject, but since old practices based in the physical realm for the most part don't apply, we have to invent a new standard by which to measure. I'm not a great mind, just a guy who can follow logical steps, and I'm sure I'm not up to the task of doing such a thing.

However, I suppose it would be possible to perform single-blind tests of having persons well acquainted with meditation and energy sensations given a mystery package, perhaps clay or something similarly hard, which may contain a crystal, or may contain a weight of equal mass. By having the participants in the experiment given a series of 3 of these mystery packages, with only the conductors of said experiment knowing the individual contents of each package, meditate and try to see any individual energy sensations out of the ordinary that may be caused by the crystal. In this way, it would be possible to tell if the crystals actually cause greater energy sensations or not. The actual causes of these symptoms will still remain a mystery, but it will be proven whether or not the crystals affect such symptoms.

The only problem I can see with this is that skeptics could always claim the participants were loaded and the entire experiment was a fraud. That's something they'll have to trust us on, and if they are so dead set about not believing that they'd think that, it's probably not a good idea to cater to them anyway.

If I knew more people in my area so psychically inclined, I'd conduct the test tomorrow. But I don't, unfortunately. Anyhow, here's your outline for determining whether or not crystals have any effect upon meditation. I hope they do, but I'll be logical enough to accept it if they don't.

I've read that, if practiced regularly, Tachyon Reiki can cause you to actually absorb the harmful radiation into your energy system, like a big antenna. Apparently it also helps you get more energy out of water? I don't know about that, but if any of you out there subscribe to Reiki, I suggest hopping on over to www.xehupatl.com and getting an attunement.

Welcome to Astral Pulse Island! / Astral Locale
September 24, 2004, 23:00:26
Alright. Please bear with me if I skip over things said before, because although I've been visiting these forums for years, I never noticed this thread in a major way and I can't bring myself to read 18 pages of posts about it (I know... lazy... I got through like the first 6, though!).

My proposal is this. I can immediately begin work (as in, tomorrow) on the astral locale as a 3-d walkthrough game. If all you artists out there help me with the textures and skins, I can go that much faster. If not, I can always use the .wad files from counter-strike [;)] Anyhow, I've had experience programming in DirectX(windows' 3-d engine, universally used and easily obtained) and C++ as well as, back in the DAY, DarkBASIC. Anyhow, I decided to bring it up because though I thought of it before, I never really realized how plausible the idea was before I saw a post in the General Metaphysics area.

Making a game of mostly movement will be a simple task at worst. I'm a somewhat advanced 3-d artist in Milkshape3D, and Valve Hammer, both of which can be incorporated by DirectX for both levels and entities. The idea is that a "game" can give a much better impression of an area than pictures ever could, and the best part is that your brain fills in the details! I'm sure that since the graphics you see on the screen go through your imagination and subconscious before the thought waves reach the astral location, the actual location won't look polygonal and blocky at all, and most members here who don't have top of the line computers won't have to worry about having computers good enough to run things like vertex shading and such.

The inherent problem I've seen time and time again is that people think they're getting to the island, without actually doing it. It's a problem I thought of as soon as I saw the concept of the island. I have several proposals for ways to get around it (which I also posted in a sister post in the General Metaphysics forum).

Firstly, a beacon of some sort to guide wayward projectors TO the island. Since the subconscious can make up the locale itself, I'm sure it could also (accidentally?) imitate a beacon to the place. Thus, the beacon would have to be rooted to the real world. So what sort of real-world objects do we have that interact with the astral? Why, crystals, of course!

Several (or many!) similarly attuned crystals could be used to guide wayfarers to the island. The obvious choice (should anyone decide to support me in this venture) would be to have me attune the crystals and somehow distribute them to the Astral Pulse members. Concerns of cost aside, I'm sure people don't want to post addresses to the forum, so a trustworthy 3rd party (perhaps a moderator like Adrian or Nick) could maintain the list via PM. In this manner, a person could receive a crystal from the member who just had it, attune their own crystals to that one (or just go for a one-time joyride) and then send it on to the next. That way, the person who received the crystal only gets the address of the person they are to send it to next. I don't think of the people on this forum, generally, as being untrustworthy, but the reason I'd only like to send a few out is that if someone turns out to be a jerk, it's not an enormous investment lost. I don't mind giving something from my own wallet to support a venture such as this. Anyway, it's just one suggestion.

The other suggestion would be hypnotism! Since your mind has the capacity to create a "shadow" version of the API, it's definitely got to have the ability also to transport you there. If a member of the forums skilled in hypnotism (perhaps the user, "Hypnotist"?) could create an audio track of some sort and make it available for download, it would give everyone a relatively pain-free way of increasing their chances of success. By being very specific about the locale in the hypnotism, I'm SURE it would be possible to ensure your phasing goes according to plan!

So let me know what you think! I think the thought form of a game would be much different than that of a picture. You're not just appreciating art, you're interacting, a step closer to the environment and I bet that would translate into stronger materialization on the astral. This is my way of trying to get involved in this project. If I skipped over something and we already have an astral locale that people can reliably get to, I'm sorry, I can edit the post or whatever. But I think the things I have mentioned can have a higher chance of success, which is what we're shooting for, than those I've read about!
#73
Well, that's one of the most controversial points about API. Robert Bruce talks a bit about it in Astral Dynamics, I believe he said something to the effect of... Trying to go somewhere instantaneously is risky because it's almost equally likely you'll go to an astral realm of your own making RESEMBLING the place you wished to travel to, than that you'll actually get there. This is why he recommends moving continuously through the astral at a relatively slow pace, so you can be sure you're still hanging out in the common zone and not some dimension you're making up. This applies to API and any other locale.

I only recently hit up the thread about API, and it's an interesting idea, but really only plausible for advanced projectors who can be sure that they're not going to a place of their own design, and actually GO to the locale. Although others can help solidify it, unless there was a way to make some sort of beacon to guide you there, it would sort of be almost a moot point. However, I do think that it's entirely possible and probable that online RPGs and such vast worlds actually do create an astral locale of themselves. If thought form construction is governed to the amount of attention paid to an object, real or not, it's tough to argue that point. However, actually getting there and not just having your subconscious make it up is the tough part. However, I do have several thoughts about ways around it.

First off, as I said; come up with some kind of astral beacon, or beacon system. Since once you're in the astral you could just make up a beacon of your own design, it would have to have some sort of root in the real world... Some crystals, similarly attuned to be a beacon to the island might work. However there are obvious problems with cost in that approach. A way around THAT would be to circulate several crystals to all members interested, but there's also trustworthiness factors involved and the posting of addresses is not generally a well accepted idea. One person (perhaps a moderator) could be chosen to keep the list of addresses of circulation in order to get around these problems. I dunno, that's just one idea.

Another way would be hypnosis, self or given by another. I don't know how much our subconscious knows that it knows about the astral, but since it's capable of creating a replica realm of the one you're trying to visit, I'm pretty sure it also has the capability to bring you to the proper place if so inclined. Thus, hypnosis and a thorough chat with the subconscious might just be what's needed in order to get there. I've experienced the effects of hypnosis first hand, and seen it on other people, and if someone who's a good hypnotist (perhaps the user, Hypnotist?) could make an audio track or something similar available for download, that could also be a viable option.

Wow! I guess I'm getting off topic.. I might just post this post (slightly modified) in the API folder too. Anyhow, I think if we came up with a way to standardize transportation to that specific astral realm, it would definitely be good to get away to the oasis. Also, I really don't think anything would be polygonal. Although that's the way it seems in the game, these people who give the game so much attention are also filtering it through their own fantasies as they play, and when they think about the game the mind adds its own touches to the monsters and level geometry, not only further solidifying it in the astral, but also giving it an idealized look.

It's a very interesting experiment and an idea I was sort of thinking of putting up in the API thread. I'm a sort-of-practiced-hand at designing computer games and levels, so a basic game consisting mostly of movement through a location would be easy to produce. Let me know what you think.

I don't know what it is... Making things spin? That sounds like regular telekinesis to me. Just goes to show how using complicated names sidesteps the point entirely.

I suggest you look on www.psipog.com if you're looking to find various "technical" skills. These forums are a bit more laid back, and we nurture the "develop energy and let what may, come" atmosphere.

Good luck.

A noob at more than TK, I can tell you that.

Read through Robert Bruce's "NEW Energy Ways" in the "Training" section of www.astralpulse.com

If you care enough to read the whole thing, you'll find the portion about meditation, but you'll also have a lot of other pertinent knowledge which, astralpwka pointed out, is quite useful for understanding what people are talking about here.

But, take your first step yourself, because I think I speak for a bunch of us when I say that we don't like hand-feeding every non-capital-letter-using "noob" that comes on here.
