Don't we all "shape shift" when we dream, though, or go OBE? I shape shift into a different version of myself, wearing a different outfit sometimes when I go OBE or from LD to OBE. I had a very lucid dream where I was wearing jeans and a t shirt and then I astrally projected into a version of myself that was wearing some floaty ethereal outfit and had really long, wavy hair, that was down to my ankles. So you could say I shape shifted into the version of myself that I wanted to experience in that moment. Life is a lot like that, as well. We all shift into this 3D reality upon birth and this is the form we took. Is this really us? No, it's what we have chosen to appear as. I imagine the same applies to the astral, considering the astral works through thought manifestation... I guess what I'm trying to say is, just imagine yourself being a different form (human or animal) and hope you have the Yoda mind skills to pull it off? If you don't pull it off, honestly you don't have the energy to shape shift just yet. Simple as that. My two cents. Just going off my own experience, my common knowledge, and my opinion. It's really hard to be right or wrong about things like this because everything is subjective.

I wanna chime in and say that I think this is a good idea. I think some people just like the convenience of chatting in real time. Makes things seem more personal and, well, convenient. Simple as that, really.

Sounds very interesting.

Once in SP, I started having an auditory hallucination where an announcer like voice kept saying "They're coming for you. They're coming for you!"

Oh gosh, was it creepy...

I hope your experiment goes well. I've been dying to see successful astral meet ups. I always wanted to try this with someone, myself. I have a friend online who is a supposed seer and APer and I asked him if he could vividly describe what I was wearing that night. And he couldn't. So my little experiment failed. Hope yours doesn't.  :-D

It's really becoming clear to many that as our physical bodies relax, meditate, or fall asleep, the veil starts to thin. Or even better, perhaps we are transcending the veil. Because of this, be prepared to hear or see anything. Typically when in trance or while in SP, I will see the most bizarre things or will hear ominous sounds. It's so common. It's also very psychedelic. Our body does produce some psychedelic substances, naturally. Many people have claimed that through meditation, some of these will become more active. Me, personally, I find that anywhere close to the hypnagogic state may produce hallucinations. So, something definitely happens to our bodies during that point.

This all could be a mere manifestation of your love or adoration for her. Thought forms, should they exist, may thrive on energy like obsession or adoration. Anyhow, by no means should you ever expect something to go 100% your way. Expecting such solid things can often lead to becoming painfully disillusioned. I was once at a point where I broke down, sobbed, and begged on my knees for an hour at a time, for someone to love me again. I wanted it so much that without it, I felt like I was suffocating, and was going without air. I tried everything from meditating on it being mine, to praying, to trying methods to get it to manifest -- it was just never meant to be. Living in the illusion can be painful in the end, despite the safety blanket it creates around you temporarily. All I'm saying is... you can try your methods all you want to try to attract her. However, the best way will be to just talk to her and get to know her. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Your energies will mesh if something is meant to be explored, there. If it's not meant to be, then please don't let it become one of those things that will send you into denial or into a state where you're crying in a corner, feeling sorry for yourself. Because I've been there, before, and it wasn't pretty. It was mentally traumatizing.

Also, your dreams are fully or mostly a creation of your subconscious. I've had dreams that shifted into higher lucidity/astral, and in those, I met entities and many beings I sensed had their own energy, but who can be sure. It's really hard to be sure of what is real, per se. I don't even like using the word 'real'. Bleh. I believe the dream world should be thought of as being in frequencies. Our level or awareness will decide the radio station we will tune in to for that night. Now, what that radio station plays is subjective, and is most likely controlled by YOU because you are a very powerful being, and can create dream scenarios, but it may also be prone to have outside influences, as well, for sure.

My mother comes to my dreams to tell me about a problem sometimes a day before the problem arises.

I learned that my grandpa came to see my mom and he insulted her to such a scale that she cried. She came home, crying, and first thing she said was "I just can't deal with your grandpa, anymore." I literally had a mini stroke because I had a dream about the same exact thing happening the night before. And, I could now add this to the massive list I have of dreams where my mom will come to tell me something, or vice versa, in the dream world, that would later manifest. I had no idea she was meeting with him. The old man told us two years ago that he hates us and is never talking to us again. He hasn't called on my birthday for the past six years.

Even weirder are the many telepathic dreams I've had over the years. Just, really weird dream phenomenon have been known to happen to me. In fifth grade, for example, I had a dream that we watched Thumbelina the cartoon in science class, while doing arts and crafts. A month later, we were doing arts and crafts in Mrs. Skipper's class, she wheeled in the t.v. for the first time ever as a special treat, and Thumbelina was on PBS. I, in my little brain, went "What the...." for a good ten minutes, and turned into a vegetable. Funny part was, we had five teachers and five classes. My dream pin pointed the teacher, the activity, and the correct cartoon. I remember thinking, in my little mind, that I was the big cheese.  :-D I used to believe I had powers of manifestation. I saw it happen in a dream, and I MADE it my reality. Dun dun dun. I'm not sure if I believe that anymore, though.  :-P

So, anyways, of course I think dreams mean something. Dreams can be our subconscious, they can be visions into alternate realities (maybe future ones?), they may become astral, or lucid, etc. Dreams are endless. Anything you can imagine, you can dream. How 'real' you want it to be is up to YOU.

Just don't get your hopes up over a dream, is all I'm saying. It may not manifest 100% in this reality and it's always good to be prepared for that. Also, work on getting this girl to like you without all of the methods, first. That is my honest opinion, though, and you are free to do as you wish, as are all humans. I wish you luck and I hope you find the love you seek.  :-)

Also, I'm editing this to add that having dreams about something does not mean you need to seek extreme methods to make things manifest. Wanting such things when the likes of others are involved is an iffy subject. If something isn't meant to happen naturally, and requires you to FORCE it into merely coming into existence.... what does that say about your own character? It may say that you're desperate and will even stoop to manipulation to get what you need.

Now, mind you, I don't know you, nor am I judging you. I'm never spiteful if I can help it. I'm merely stating that your actions and intentions here seem a bit selfish, that's all. I think you should go into this with honest intentions and an open heart.

Meanwhile, the whole purpose of me telling you about my own dream experiences were mostly to answer your question that yes, dreams may matter, dreams may come true, they may contain symbolism, and all sorts of fancy shmancy stuff.

But should you revolve your happiness or become fixated or obsessed with the meaning behind a certain dream and think it automatically has to mean something? No. Take things with a grain of salt. Dreams MAY manifest like some of mine have, but just because you're dreaming of her, and longing for her, and finding all of these connections with her, doesn't mean you need to set out on drastic measures to get what you want.

I agree with the post above. More people would probably be able to go OBE if they just surrender to the unknown of taking the first plunge into NPR.

My sleep paralysis episodes would have gone much nicer if I surrendered instead of fighting with my body, trying to force myself to either move or climb out of it.

The strain you create when you do this probably takes away from the mental concentration needed to go OBE.

Your brain will be too distracted with the task of trying to force movement and whatnot. That in itself is very distracting.

A guide on the astral once told me that the key to going OBE is to just stay 100% still, focusing on raising the vibrations (I start from the feet and work them up), and simply visualizing the scenario you want to find yourself in and projecting into it. It has more to do with the mind than the physical strain of trying to break the bonds.

Right before AP, it's VERY common to go into a state where your muscles completely turn into jello and you will likely fall into a paralysis. This is normal. This is your body falling asleep. It happens every night. When we go to sleep, we turn limp, and go into paralysis. If you want to separate by going into AP that way, you merely put your body to sleep but keep your mind awake. Don't try to break out of the physical restraints. Yes, it's going to fell like you're heavy and like you can't move. If you don't fight this sensation, and just lay still, you can try directing 100% of your energy into mentally shifting your consciousness out of there and somewhere else. If you're too focused on trying to move or push yourself out, you're going to find it will hinder your ability to do what you set out to do.

Oh, really? Well, let me know if you want higher resolution photos of my expressions. What was the theme behind what you're doing, just to see the different expressions people make and animate them?

Funny. One of the first times I ever had SP, I heard a baby wailing in distress. Apparently I'm not the only one. I'm not a mother and don't particularly like babies but that's what I heard.  :-P

You're not alone. You can hear anything. Anything you can imagine, you can hear. People say it's auditory hallucinations. For many people, it's a sign you're close to OBE or a trance state.

I've never encountered those guys. But, I always had a theory that many people in government or religion probably know how to do interdimensional travel. I could also imagine them patrolling the place. Maybe even stirring things up to try to scare you back into the physical. There could be a lot out there people don't want us to see.

The "third eye" is actually the pineal gland. The pineal gland releases DMT, serotonin, and melatonin. It has been said for many moons that this is the physical connection to spirit.

Some gurus have developed a practice where they can train their tongue to slide back into their throats, up into their nasal cavity, and where their pineal gland is. They will then take their tongues and lick at it, brushing off the deposits that form and calcify there. Then, they will push and poke at the pineal gland, and it supposedly drips a sweet nectar that tastes absolutely, well, godly. Some have speculated that this is ambrosia, the food of the gods. Apparently the pineal gland's nectar is sweet like honey, and very nourishing for the body.

It also contains DMT. Some have called this the spirit molecule. We produce a lot of it at birth, during sleep, and near death. If you do this stimulation of the pineal directly, like some of these gurus do, it will flood your body with DMT and will ultimately give you a euphoric experience and will typically make you feel more connected to spirit.

Now, like I said, I don't know how much of this is true, but... more than one source has claimed that fluoride and calcium deposits may form in the pineal gland. Fluoride, especially, is one that MANY people have come out to say is a no no for spirituality.

I've read from two sources that eating a lot of greens, citric acid, and fruits/veggies are good for the pineal gland. They recommended kale, wheatgrass, spinach, etc. Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar is one people said were good. Oh, and kelp. I'd do my own research into this sort of stuff. I don't know if it's all a buncha hoopla or not, but working on a detox of the pineal has given me dramatic results, so... that's really all I have to go on. Personal results and some research I've done.

@ChopstickFox

Ooh, I like these sort of looking characters.

Lately, I've been having what people keep telling me are false awakenings where I'll be dreaming that I wake up, will find myself in SP (dream sleep paralysis? Haha), will try to wiggle my way out, will get up, and will find myself either in my room or in some other realm for a few moments, until waking up in the real world.

Take your pick as to what it could be. Apples and oranges. I've recently been posting a lot about how my dreams are becoming more real and vivid. Been having more false awakenings, and am even going as far as to dream about being in sleep paralysis, or will dream about getting up and doing things in 100% physical feeling scenarios, that aren't real. So, like I said, I totally feel what you're going through and can probably relate to the weirdness you're feeling.  :-P

Just as dreams are random, the astral may also be random.

I have a theory that our energy bodies emit a certain amount of energy when dreaming/in astral

So, they will naturally be paired up with scenarios/planes that they are able to tune in, to.

Think of it as a radio station.

In order to get out of some random, jumbled up place, that seems like a scattered jigsaw puzzle, you typically need to concentrate or meditate while in NPR. This raises your energy and you will be able to have more control and tune in to higher levels of consciousness.

Of course, I'm speaking from personal experience and opinion, here. I could be totally wrong and don't ever claim to be Buddha.  :-D

In my first ever projection, a guide showed up. She had really long straight black hair. She had a mother earth type of feel about her. She told me that a great way to project is to visualize a window and to picture yourself flying up out of it, and into the sky. So I did this. And, I flew up, into the bluest sky you could ever imagine. It was a rich, royal blue, that sparkled with life. I started flying around in the sky for a good minute. Gosh, it was so blue. I just looove the astral colors. When I get on the astral, it's like I put on HD 3D glasses that make all of the colors pop out. Beautiful.

I made a collage of some of my artwork. Resized them so pardon any blurriness.

Many people are hearing this. Some say it's the sound of the universe.

Here's why I believe in this theory. When my vibrations raise, the frequency changes. If I am in an altered state of mind, ever, it will also raise. Sometimes in both ears, and sometimes in just one. Before OBE, this frequency also gets louder.

Sounds a lot like the 963 hz frequency to me.

If I listen to this, it practically does a duet with the sound I already hear in my head, where they mesh almost perfectly with each other.

Best proof of paranormal is just to try to experience it firsthand. There's a hospital around here where my mother works that is a local haunted hot spot. The entire second floor is known to be haunted. And, the hospital has weird oddities, too. Haunted fridge, entire haunted floor, people witnessing the same exact spirits in the same rooms. The place was even mentioned in a book. I went there, myself. The second floor is funky, indeed. The air there is so thick and heavy, you start feeling like you're swimming in water and gasping for air. Everything buzzing with electricity.

Of course, you tell your friends about it, and they go "Pfft, yeah freaking right" and just look at you like you're whacko. Even though you're not the only one to have experienced such things. Most people who go up to that floor experience weirdness, I bet. It's just in the air. People have reported things levitating, seeing spirits, chairs moving, being touched. But it's never enough proof for people. It's never enough.

And it will never be enough for some.

Just wanna add that this all worked for me but I'm not advertizing it or anything.

Most of my topic material can be cited to several men who wrote a buncha books about this stuff.

About "opening the third eye" and how vitamins play into it. Many people have come out to say that fluoride hinders spiritual growth and some of the ways I listed were methods they wrote about, to help cleanse the actual physical body of supposed spiritually hindering toxins.

I did start a regime with some of this stuff and have had great results, but like I said, that's just me.

I'm not taking any drastic vitamins, either. It's proven that our iodine intake has been dramatically lower than past generations. Asians eat up to hundreds percent more daily than we do in kelp form and are very healthy.

I've also seen a supposed dissected calcified pineal gland with mineral deposits all over. Looked like something I didn't want to develop there. Me and my hypochondria are bound to find solutions for all things, whether they be placebo, or real, or a combination of placebo or real...  :-D Who knows.

I'm a funny little person. I do give in to fads and believe a lot of what I read. Usually, if something sounds like it will help me, I will follow it.

You're thinking of binaural beats. They also have monaura beats and something called isochronic tones. All are different and produce different effects. I'd research them, some.

Usually, twitching and a rocking motion are very common when close to AP. Hallucinations or hearing voices are also common when near AP.

You were definitely close to a trance state (seeing as your body was bobbing back and forth) and the sounds are also an indication that you are close.

Try again, and this time, let yourself fall into that sensation. Let your body fall asleep and become numb and weightless. It will rock back and forth. You may start to hear things. Ignore it all.

You might as well be prepared for sleep paralysis. SP will come with hallucinations, sometimes. Ignore everything. Mind over matter, remember that. If you find yourself in SP, simply try to roll over or get up. Try to wiggle your toes or fingers.

One of the best ways to astral project is to literally put your body to sleep but keeping your mind awake. Once you get past the weird vibrations and the fear, you will get there eventually. Hope this helped.

All I have to say about Puma Punku, is...

#72
Twice, I've APed somewhere where I couldn't tell if it was day or night because the sky would be a solid, rich color. Like royal blue or lavender.

All in all, don't fear. In the astral, you never know where you'll end up. Once you're out of body, you will have bigger and better things to worry about than it bring bright or dark outside.
#73
Sometimes, key words will trigger things and the memory of the dream will just come flooding back.

Let's say I had a dream about puppies, but forgot about it. If someone mentions puppies that day, I'll sit there for a second, having a moment where dream recall will happen.
#74
I often find myself in a setting that feels like the time right before sunset. Rich colors in the sky, and it's not too dark or bright. However, when I APed one morning, I did find it to be sunny and bright out. In other words, I believe the answer to your question is yes. This could be controlled by you, though. I'm sure you could find yourself in a realm where it's either bright or dark out, or somewhere in between.
#75
Yeah, show us the pic please.

So, you think the old WW2 photo picked up your astral body as it transcended time and space?

Because in theory, even if this were the case, aren't there entities around us at all times, hanging out in neighboring frequencies? If I had a nickel for every flying astral entity I've seen captured in a photograph, I'd have... zero nickels. Yep.  :-P

Mind you, I'm not being mean here, just silly.
