And when I say popped what I mean is:
I literally heard with my ears a "pop" sound.
And for a split second everything was just gone. I wasn't asleep. It didn't feel like that at all.
Matter of fact, I think that I was so aware that it, in fact, surprised me!

I know thats not a very good description. But its just so hard to find the words (if there are any) to describe this experience.

:-D Hello everyone! I hope you are well!

Last night, I was in a deep F10. I could no longer feel my body so much. And the limbs that I did feel felt as though they were twisted in a way other then what they were. So, I was playing around Wth visualizing. I had just recently watched the movie mortal kombat, so one of the ninjas appeared and I got to play around with that. He was moving about and I  getting different views of him. Some very close up. Eyes. Lots of expression in the eyes because the rest of his face was covered. Then a started to get what felt like chills radiating from my chest\stomach area to the rest of my body. This happened several time. After that....
Now it's hard for me to explain this but I experienced a popping sensation. My whole consciousness popped. It wasn't so much of a bodily thing at all. I woke up after that because it startled me. But I felt really strange as though. I was in a dream! I felt slow, floaty, and fuzzy. Not my normal waking up self. So I decided to do a little test. Checked my phone to see if I really was dreaming, but everything appeared normal. So... I guess I wasn't?

What do you think happened? Did I pull my self out of it at a crucial moment?

Astral Sex is nothing but totally different... to me... compared to my physical reality sex.

I'm not disagreeing with you by the way Xanth... I just have a different experience of it.

Couldn't re-edit my post by the way... had to double post.

Do Beedkin, if it's not too personal of a question, whatsoever it like? Is there a way you can describe your experience?  Of not, I understand! :D I'm just curious.

Some people might disagree with me, but astral sex can be experienced here in the physical as well.

If you've ever been so completely in Love with someone else, that they make you feel all warm and tingly inside.  You and this person mix on a different level... so much so that your energies become one beating, pulsing heart bursting with Love.

It's not "sex" as we know it.  Physical sex, as we know it isn't Love... it's not making love, it's just sex.  It's purpose, beyond making yourself and another person feel good, is procreation.  Of course, the act can include this 'different level' though.  The level of sharing all that you are with someone else, but it's definitely not limited to this act.

Making Love is something you do 24/7 with the person you share your life with.  You share your life... your heart... your consciousness... your Love.  You share everything with someone else with absolutely no fear what-so-ever.  It's not even limited by just a single person, although it might not be as strong with others, but it's still something that comes from the same level.

This is Making Love... this is Astral "Love".  This is accepting everything as it is, and giving everything you have to give.

This is how it feels.  It's not something you 'do'... it's something you 'are'.  What I've described above is also what "astral sex" is and feels like... the merging of two.

Xanth,

First off, thank you for such a lovely description. You are always so helpful. And I can not agree more with the making love aspect. True love. Sharing everything you are without fear or ego. I don't truly know if I have ever felt this intense warm tingly love in which the two energies become one. But, I sounds amazing. Maybe I just haven't met that person yet. Or maybe that connection just isn't developed yet in this point in time. :) But I feel like I am on the right path. Thank you again for your response. :)

So what does astral sex feel like, exactly? Can someone give me a clean description? I'm curious how it differs from dream sex. Or is it the same sort of tingly feeling?

I would like to know how many of the members here makes affirmations during technique?  I usually include an affirmation to keep things positive.  Please do share. :-)

I also do the 'keep things positive' affirmation. I only do this when things tend to get a little dark. And thats not too often. :) I guess the key is believing it deep down.

Also, anyone know a physical store that carries this product?
Ill be out tommorow and wanted to pick it up.

Hehe. I'm so impatient.

Not really... :)
#58
Bit of a tongue twister, eh?  :-D

Any one use this product? What do you think of it?
Has it I helped you in projecting?

Sometimes I open my eyes prematurely when trying to project. Therefore, I am considering an eye mask! This brand looks quite nice!

If they are there maybe you should interact with them and tell them what you wish to do.

If you have distinct intent to be somewhere very specific, a few characters hanging around shouldn't distract you... unless they are more important than you think... or your intent isn't strong enough. Just a thought.

Very true. I have turned many dreams Lucid this way. For example.... If I wanted to meet a certain person in my dreams I would just ask random people where "so-and-so" is. They will usually point in a direction and I will go there. Its kind of like an Easter egg hunt, but eventually I find the person and get to interact with them. :)
Sometimes though, the people direc to places that are a bit off putting or frightening, but if you tough it out its worth it.

So yeah! Tell them where you wanna go and see what happens. :)

Hey everyone!

Well I've been exploring the astralpulse for awhile and finally decided to join. Nice to meet you :)

I had a "dream" in which demonic entities crowded around my head, whispering, cackling, laughing. I knew they were astral demons or ghosts and they frightened me because I could "see" and "feel" their evil energy. My entire body was tingling and in the dream I knew my astral body and physical body were about to separate but at this point I refused because of the evil spirits. But the reason I believe this is a dream opposed to OBE is because my mind and thoughts still functioned as they normally do when I'm dreaming and my awareness was not in complete control.

I also felt fierce winds whipping around my head and it was so real that I literally thought there was a tornado outside. This hurricane feeling has happened before and even continues for a couple seconds after I wake up. Anyone else had this?

Based on your experiences of astral projection, do you think I've projected or at least come close even though I'm 99% sure this was a dream?

Hello there. Nice to meet you! :)
Sounds like you were pretty darn close. I haven't fully projected yet, but I have experienced some of the things that you are talking about. It sounds like your letting fear muddle your experience though. Its funny you mention evil energies because I had a mini dream/projection today where near the end I experienced some disturbing visuals and sounds. However, its not really my norm.  What I'm trying to say is don't let these fears on the inside of you control your next session! A method that I have used when I get startled is: if I see something that frightens me (like a shadowy figure...) I just believe that its someone who is curious about me. In a good way. Matter o fact, they are just as curious about me as I am of them! So it's all good! ;) Hope that helps.

Congratulations on your progress!  :-)

Just stay the course, passively observe all that occurs and ALLOW yourself to go further and further each time.

This is the recipe for success!

Welcome! I agree with this. Try and have a placid state of mind and let the imagery roll its way in. Its what has worked best for me. And if you fall asleep, well, you may just wake up in SP! :) So its a win win! Keep us updated on your progress. I always enjoy reading others experiences. They sure are fascinating!

I feel that the Cathedral Island may be of my design, the first place I ever arrived when learning to travel was a beautiful beach scene. I used this as my "Safe Zone" or "Launching Pad" whenever I attempted to AP. But, I never had seen the Cathedral Building there or even the "parade route" that I am constantly walking down that leads to the Cathedral Building.
I don't really know that much about Monroe's Focus 27. I read Frank Kepple's Focus Levels and prefer those.
The "Retrievers" are always the same, dressed completely in white. Sometimes depending on the severity of the person they will have a stretcher to aide someone having problems walking. This happened during a war scene retrieval I had before.
Yes, it is always the same once the person climbs on my back, I see the Island from above. I am flying towards it.
This is my War Retrieval from July 4/2011
I just finished an afternoon session. I guess I have passed my school stage for now, since I haven't seen anything recently that resembled my school anymore. I thought I would post my new experience here. This was the most incredible thing I have seen or done in the Astral.
I started my session as normal, just kind of phasing and observing. I imagined seeing beautiful fireworks in the sky, since we are getting close to the 4th of July here in the United States and fireworks are everywhere. I was weird though because due to my ailment I have not gone to see the fireworks live for about 10 or 12 years. They were incredibly vivid. So, I started seeing beautiful colors exploding everywhere, the next thing i knew I was in the middle of a war zone. There were cannons shooting everywhere, bullets flying. I looked over to my right and there was a young man, he was badly wounded and bleeding. I went to him immediately and told him he didn't need to be here. I told him there was a place where there is total peace. I then threw him on my shoulders and flew away. The next thing I know we are in front of this beautiful white building (cathedral like), I walk up a number of steps, but it is tiring. I then remember I can fly, so I fly up to the top of the stairs. There is a platform there, suddenly a number of people converge from inside that building, (I take it they are nurses, they are all dressed in white). They take him off my shoulders and put him on a stretcher, then he is gone.
Now I am not a soldier and do not like war. This man had to be in his early 20's. He was thin, blonde short curly hair. The thing that was really strange was, I could actually feel a tear going down my face in the physical when I saw him lying there against that rock. After this entire scene played out, I went back to the war zone and disabled a couple of tanks by tying their turrets into nice big bows. This whole scene seemed like I had been there for hours. When I came back to the physical I realized I was only gone 1 hour.
I know there is a reason that all of us are waking up to the Astral World now. I don't believe in coincidence. I also know that everyone travels in their sleep. But, I believe the people that have been chosen to do this awake is for a reason a bigger purpose. I am not an incredibly spiritual person, but I do believe everything happens for a reason. Whatever it may be, I am honored to be one with this ability.

I think I have seen this cathedral!!!!! Tall white steeple in design. The inside is dark with lots of stained glass. I also recall seeing an alter in the middle of the room. :) This was something I saw wayyyyyy back when I jest started practicing.

Very nice, it's good to see that your practice is paying off now!  :-)

Many times I use this visual just to see how deep I am at the moment. I see drips of water hitting a leaf, then cascading down the leaf and falling into the river below. I then can see the ripples created by that drop as it hits the water. The scene is very tranquil and very real.

Here's another one you can try. When you are relaxed and feel you are about to shift, visualize a tree in the distance. All you can see is it's outline. Now focus a bit deeper on that outline and you will see that you have moved closer and can now make out the branches and a better shape of that tree. Now focus deeper and look at those branches or look at the trunk. Now you can see the leaves or the bark on the tree. Now take a better look at the entire tree, now you can make out a background in back of the tree. The sun is shining through the leaves, there could be a mountain in the background or a city. ALLOW the sense to morph. ALLOW your curiosity to roam. Don't try to create the scene, just allow it to morph into existence.

If you lose it, go back to it right away. Start again at the outline and continue. This teaches you how to just be in the moment.

It's hard to do at first because we always want to be in control. But this is a leasson in trust. Just ALLOW what happens to happen.

Enjoy it now and if you wish to, question it later!  :-)

Awesome. Thank you for the technique! I think your right. I think a gradual build up to the moment where everything is detailed would be much better then a BOOM look at it this craziness experience. I practiced again shortly after and had a sort of disturbing dream type mini projection. There was this news cast saying that there were 8 boys missing. They found four of them but the other four were still unaccounted for. Next thing I know, this Asian woman shuts off the tv and says something like "well, now we don't need to worry about them". (for some reason there are many Asian people/themes in the scenes that I see lately.) Anyway, after she said that I just had an overwhelming feeling that something was not right. Maybe this thought triggered sub conscious thoughts about the movies the ring or the grudge. At this point the scene was fading but these spirit things that looked like the little boys where whizzing around making these really demonic noises. Deep manly noises. Snapped back after that. Twas unsettling. Lol. Such a weird experience all together. But that's not gonna stop me! :) Thanks again, Lion. I'm going to try again tonight before sleep.

I love dreaming and love to share my dreams with my friends. I also follow the method of Lionheart.

I wish that there were more of us in the world that would be open minded enough to just share experiences! :)

Thank you everyone for your advice. After reading all of this...I don't want to say that I doubt I can project to the real island. (Becase that's just telling yourself its never going to happen. Lol.) But I think I just need a little bit more practice before I can attempt to get there. Lately, I have been trying to project to a place that I once projected to as a child. Its in front of a gorgeous fountain. I have quite a fond memory from there that has carried through to my adult hood. If I can get there, that will be a big step! :)

F12 (vastness) begins when the visual cortex begins to shut down(reliance on information from your physical eyes)

Typically this is achieved by not moving your eyes. However, you just reminded me of a post I read a long time ago that suggested the method of moving your eyes around rapidly. The muscles get tired and then allegedly it is easier to move from F10(mind awake body asleep) to F12(great black vastness).

I remember trying this but I forgot how effective was. Evidently not ideal since I haven't done it in a while.

I'll give it another go in one of my upcoming sessions and try to offer some more feedback.

Cheers,
Contenteo

Interesting that you say that F12 is usually achieved by not moving the eyes. Sometimes I find that if I fixate on acertain spot behind my eyelids I, once in a while, get the same feeling of harmonization that I do when I use the squishing/eye balls left to right technique. Its just not as immediate compared to when I move my eyes in that way. Everything comes in line with all other things. It's a difficult sensation to describe with words. :) Let me know how you make out. I am quite interested.

Hello everyone. Happy new year :-)

So here is the thing, I came back to practice after a while, I've been meditating but very lightly these past holidays. Thinkin back about my last experiences, and posting about yesterday's practice; I used some soundtrack lionheart posted a while ago, 30 minutes track which worked perfectly. After 15 minutes of laying there, and tried focusing on a room of my old house from childhood I started feeling the spinning sensation, my awareness came straight to those feelings, I tried focusing back on the room but the spinning was to hreat so I let them be, after a while they stopped.

I stayed there, sound track stopped by then. I started to walk into my old house again, picturing and touching everything as if I were there; strong physical feelings once again, a bit of vibrations, lifting, heavyness... way too strong; I couldn't keep my focus.in anything else but on those strong feelings.

I enjoy these sensations( I think too much, hehe) but I cannot keep my awareness away from them ,they are too great.

Any advices, or has anyone been in this situation before?.

Thanks in advance, take care.

I, too, enjoy the sensations. Sometimes I get a little too wrapped up in them. Hehe.
But it sounds like you are doing just fine. Just let go and let whatever is going to happen ...happen :). Just imagine your whole body/consciousness is jello. :)  Verrrrrrryyyyyy placid. Go with the flow, so to speak. The vibrations and twirling sensations usually go come in spurts for me.

Ps: everytime I see your avatar, I smile! It's just too cute.

This topic will be just for Retrievals. I haven't had the chance to read Bruce Moen's or the Monroe Institutes's information on them. I started having them last year purely by coincidence and we know there is no such thing as coincidence. Nothing makes you feel better inside then experiencing one of these. I have now, including today had 10 of these. One of them I am convinced was to retrieve me. We would love to hear your adventures with this as well. I will start with an incedible one I had today.
Upon awakening this morning, I went to the bathroom, got a drink of water, then went back to bed. I put out the intent to do a retrieval. So, I closed my eyes and started telling myself over and over again "let's do a retrieval". I just laid there noticing the blackness before my eyes, the blackness then went to the 3D stage and the next thing I knew a dark land mass started to take shape. It was a gloomy area, the land was pure black and in front of me there were pools of red water/lava. I thought it was water or goo because I didn't see or sense heat or smoke coming from them. I walked for a couple of feet, then came across one pool that had an upside down doll in the center of it. I waded through the red goo and got to doll. The doll's head was under the red goo, but the body was coming out, so I pulled the legs and freed it. I then realized this was my task and it was going to be a tough one. I could feel the abuse, the pain that this soul had in it. There was no facial features on the doll at all. No mouth, hair, nose, ears, no clothing, it was totally bare. I stared at the doll and a thought came to my mind, the next thing I know I am in a little girl's room with the doll. I hand the doll to the little girl. She hugs it right away. I sat down with the little girl we will call her Shelly. We decided to rebuild this doll, so we gave her hair first, then beautiful blue eyes with long eyelashes, a nose, ears, then we put a mouth on her and tried to get it to smile, but it wasn't ready for that yet. So, we settled on a slit for the mouth and gave her some cute dimples. Now I am a male, 48 years of age, so this was really difficult for me. Not to the fact of helping, but knowing what to do. The next thing we did is to decide what kind of clothing she would have. Of course Shelly picked a pink tutu with ribbons in her hair. Once we were done with the doll, we created a table, for tea paraties, a giant doll house with all the fixings.
Shelly loved her new friend, she brushed her hair all the time, had tea parties, slept with her, she treated her like gold. I needed to intensify this effect, so I created scenes where little boys came in and well boys will be boys, so they wanted to mess with her doll, but Shelly would have nothing to do with that. She defended her new friend like an armored guard.
Finally after what seemed to be months, the doll started to change. First was the eyes, life all of a sudden appeared in them. Then it was the feet, then the legs, body, arms, hands. A twinkle of the nose happened, the ears wiggled, then came the mouth. The slit finally turned into a smile. She then looked at us and said her name was Janice. and it was time to go.
She then jumped on my back, said good bye to Shelly and we were off. I saw that we were about to land on the "Island", I call it this because this is where all of my Retrievals seem to end up. As usual, people were standing in the streets, as if we were a "parade float" and clapping, We were traversing the path to salvation, I call this walk. The huge white cathedral looking building was just ahead of us. The "Welcoming Committee", I call them, came out see us. We climbed up the stairs to them, they then took hold of Janice's hands and started to walk through the doorway, I think this is some kind of portal. Janice broke free of them, ran back to me and gave me a big hug. Then it was over.
I want to reiterate again, there is no feeling in this world as good as you feel when you help someone in the Astral or Wider Reality. Today I am floating on cloud nine. My heart feels like it has grown.
On this site we learn to experience the wider reality. It is time that we try to go further. There are so many lost souls to be found over there. We need more of us to learn how to do this and I feel that learning this is as easy as creating an intent to do it. I do not share a lot of my Phasing sessions here, I have been told that I can help people to experience it, but that what I see is for me, it's personal. But I am allowed to share all the Retrievals I like with all. I would love to hear yours.
Thank you!
Lionheart :-)

Wow, Lion.
That experience sounds quite profound. Very beautiful and changing. You weren't creeped out by the doll at first? You must be brave.
I came upon your story, from the shadow beings thread. It is interesting that you saw these hooded figures before having this experience. I wonder what they really are. :)
But well done. That was a very nice thing you did.

Weird title, I know!
Lately, I have noticed that when I am deep into an ap session (when the blackness in front of me is pitch black and endless) my consciousness will shift for a split second and I might see an scene that is so life like you would think its real. But after a second or two I get sucked back to the blackness. Last night I saw a cloudy marshland. It was raining. There was a rather large pond of gray water and I could see each droplet of rain hit the water which caused ripples just like in the physical. Detail! My question is, how do I build on this? Is it possible to sustain a scene like this?

These scenes seem to take me by suprise. And this is different from visualization for me because it feels as if I am there. There is no effort anymore. But at the same time, I keep bringing myself out of it. Haha. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you all for your words of wisdom. :)

Personally, I think it just takes me by suprise and I get excited and snap out of it.

If you love Rollercoasters, use that as a visual while attempting to Phase. I have found it works quite well. Especially if you don't know the layout of the track and just let it morph on it's own.

Those sudden hairpin turns and barrel rolls are really something to experience.

I don't care for them in this Reality, but find that they are rather enjoyable in the NPR!  :-)

I am so going to try this out tonight! I was practicing ap today, and I made some real progress. More moving scenarios. First, i was putting on a blue jem necklace on a beautiful asian woman and then was in some sort of Asian ball room. Chairs were on the tables. Really beautiful floral patterns everywhere in brown and reddish gold. There is more to this dream but I'll post it in its own topic so I don't get too off track since it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

But yes, it's funny you mention roller coasters. There have been a few times where I see a track winding and twisting. Sometimes its just like in the physical. But sometimes its in space. I really get a kick out of being really high up in the atmosphere and looking down on at the land and water below too!

I feel these once n awhile too. But I feel it more as a cool breeze on my skin.

I think this is happening because our physical body is becoming oversensitized and in a hyperawareness state.

Once in awhile my entire body will have a spasm as well. I just ALLOW that to happen and stay the course. It does get annoying though when you feel a itch or some hair touching your face that you couldn't tell was there before.

You must fix that though, so you can move on. A little irritant like that becomes a major one if you let it. Never try to say, I'll just ignore it. Fix the problem, then get back to Shifting.

But, I have always been curious of the temperature change and chills though. Normally this is when I am at the "point of no return" in my Phase

Oh god! I hate when I get the astral itch. Drives me nuts. It's always in the same spot too. Either near my left inner eye brow or the right corner of my nose. :)

For the most part, yes.
Everyone will have their own "Astral Pulse Island" really.
Or at least, everyone can go to the same API, but they'll all experience it slightly differently.

But yeah, just, visualize it with as much Intent as you can muster.  :)

Thank you Xanth! Hopefully, I'll see you or some other members there! I'll bring some cookies. Hehe.

Do I just visualize it when I am deep into projection? Any tips? Anyone every been there?
