But there are multiple factors to consider. You were scared, thus it could be a Neg attack. And the fact that involved one of your friends (I'm guessing a close one) could mean that it most certainly WAS a Neg attack.

Hmm another newbie. You sound young and naive and decieved by lies on the web. Ki is a concept developed in the East by the Japanese, borrowed from the Chinese concept of Chi. If you want to learn about true energy development and what it is, read up on some actual Eastern theories.

But if those become confusing, as they usually are to the average Westerner, erase your ideas and concepts of Ki (everything including the whole basis of techniques) and start reading about things like Psionics or just get Astral Dynamics.

There are no techniques, and there are no superpowers.

This is about inner peace and spirituality and manipulation. It takes much reading and research to understand and do this stuff. You can't just visualise and "do it." There's much more to it.

Don't let me put you down though. There are powers that exist that people can accompish. OBE is one of the funnest [], although I have yet to experience it. It would be easier to accomplish telekinesis than it would to fight with ki blasts and DBZ explosions.

I absolutely agree. I only really care about reading through a great deal of things if I really *want* to learn about a subject. I mean, how many of you would spend hours on end reading about math whereas you could learn about something you're interested in (i.e. OBE)?

Reading isn't very popular, but it must be done for the sake of knowledge. It's too true that there are not many places where you are taught to read effectively. Most people just learn to read effectively by themselves. Teaching you doesn't do much, seeing as most members of a class wouldn't care.

And about Astral Dynamics being a cartoon? Pictures may paint a thousand words but you can't explain something like OBE or NEW in a bunch of pictures...even with a little words. The 600 page book would jump to 6000 []

Hmm while I agree with research, I am not so sure with the Eastern theories. Although you seem quite interested in the study of Ki in particular, I think that adapting to Eastern terminology might make you quite a bit confused. A good introduction to it is a martial arts that teaches it, for example, the more traditional practices of Karate and Aikido.

As for techniques, there is very rarely a case where somebody with very little development has pulled off so much as make a shield. Although you CAN make a construct that CAN be capable of shielding you, it is more practical to develop your weak and fragile "immature" energy body before you set out on the supernatural "powers."

Energy and spiritual development is a thing of balance and peace. It is not a thing of super powers, techniques, and simplicity. Much study must be done, and it will be many years before you accomplish things like lighting things on fire.

But of course, don't let this put you down. With guides like today's Astral Dynamics things like OBE become the ultimate stepping stone rather than the ultimate goal. All the skills related to OBE can be greatly applied to other energetic practices, and many people who move on from it to practice telekinesis have a bit of an easier time using the skills they learnt from OBE.

This is the second time I've told you ssjoku: GROW UP!! This time I'm not gonna be so easy about it either. There is no ki blasts. There is no superpowers. And just cause it looks cool to write that doesn't make it so great in text. In fact I'm surprised some people DON'T think your a bloody moron cause of that blatantly retarded statement.

Get some bloody maturity for crying out loud. If you ever hope to achieve such spiritual things that this website teaches, then you better get some bloody brains and graduate from high school you moron. This isn't the school grounds where people are idiots to be cool. Things matter here, and people actually THINK. And as hard as it is for you to adjust to that foreign concept, I think everybody would benefit from it if you just gave it a shot, or simply shut the heck up.

Pah to Hell with all you and your prophecies. I am honestly getting sick of this. A pack of painkillers a night isn't healthy you know. Funny thing is, this is mostly based on the Christian idea of some big day that all of us will die.

But what is death? Hah I laugh and say simply that the fate of destruction is also the joy of rebirth.

Big doomsday?? Come on get a life. All these big events with Satan being burned et cetera won't happen in a single day, even if at all. It's all symbols and the ideas in revelation are completely open to debate. I believe the end will take some time, maybe a few weeks or so.

All these prophecies are giving me a headache...AGAIN!!! I'm off to bed now...

Hmm true. I got Astral Dynamics a few weeks back and after I finished PPSD I started reading it. Absolutely fantastic. I keep recommending it to every other person into this. Robert Bruce rocks.

Maybe I'll come back to this whole card thing for protection some other time. For now I gotta work on my energy body.

It's just moving your energy back and forth in a particular area. The ball bouncing is a good visualisation aid. Just keep it going. Start slow at first. Eventually you can get the feel for your upper limit, which can increase with time...I think....[]

The idea of the bounce is to just loosen up the energy body so energy pathways are a little looser and stimulated before a practice with energy. The effect it has on the energy body is sort of like the effect stretching has on the physical body before/after you go for a run or other athletic training.

I'm using both the Astral Dynamics version of NEW and the one here on the Astral Pulse. They both have information missing that is filled up by the other version...crazy. For example, the one here tells you how to stimulate your mouth and throat...and the one in Astral Dynamics teaches you how to work on your energy centers. It's worth reading both. Astral Dynamics is a great book. Any single part of it is worth it's price and then some[].

Auraseer, you are obviously one of those few gifted ones that sort of taught themselves energy and decided to try and teach others.

There is only one problem, and that is your simple teaching method. You teach the norm of today's "ki energy" websites. You say that psi and ki is different, yet they are the same. You have too breif descriptions and you don't fully explain things the way they should be done. Also, your more traditional visualisation techniques are very long to develop, albeit very strong. This is why people using techniques such as this always find strange things such as electrical malfunctions, whereas those who do other approaches don't experience such manifestations.

It seems as though you've stumbled across things by accident, explaining them with your own beliefs rather than taking it slower and researching for answers. Firing ki balls? I'm sorry but energy never really does enough to damage a person so much as throw off the immune system for a while...and there other factors such as psychic barriers etc.

Gah I've been through this with so many people I've lost my rage...

To sum up, energy development isn't about techniques and attacks. It's about inner peace. I myself am 14, and I find that everybody these days joining into this whole energy thing are just getting into the mix of using it for combat. If you want to fight with energy, go take up a martial arts. Hah which brings me to my next point. Most of those morons that do this stuff at around this age just want to beat up guys that pick on them cause they can't be crapped lifting weights. Please people. What ever happened to the inner peace? Whatever happened to self-discovery and OBE? Energy combat is not the goal. Nobody ever really bothered with energy constructs until now. It's all very fun and good but really it shouldn't be the focus of energy development.

But this base chakra thing...dude I do NOT want to be in your position. Have a read through Practical Psychic Self-Defense. Most Neg manifestations are related to the base chakra, so maybe you can get rid of it with some psychic self-defense?

About this war? Bush can't be an anti-christ cause he believes in God. Saddam isn't truly muslim, just like most other terrorist/evil middle easterners. They just blame it on the Muslim Community to make everybody hate them, just like Communism or the Jews[].

But Bush really just wants the oil I guess. This whole war on terrorism thing is nuts and I bet even Monkey-Face Bush knows it's just a feeble attempt to make people happy.

Hmm well a couple of weeks ago I was just like that. I had not much motivation in NEW or any energy work at all. But after I had a spark of inspiration from my girlfriend I decided to work harder. I also found that some awareness movements didn't seem to be working very well. For example, I had to stir my finger in mid air and visualise my awareness hands stirring the area at the same speed as my finger. Sometimes I did a similar thing with the brushing.

This is, as far as I'm aware, perfectly normal. You're getting used to body awareness movements and are still used to visualisation so you use on to help the other. Eventually your body awareness alone will be able to do anything you want it to. Also, your energy body needs to be able to adjust and become more awareness-sensitive. Robert Bruce, although a great and experienced author and mystic, has contradicted himself in the writing of NEW Energy Ways.

Bruce says that it recquires no visualisation, when in truth, using your awareness hands is always to some extent visualisation. The Etheric Wrap technique is also involving visualisation. But I guess that's a little off topic and doesn't really matter because you're using the sense of touch anyhow.

Anyways, just keep at it. Try to wean yourself off the rest of your body moving during awareness excercises and spend a little more time doing EVERY step of the leg and arm developments. Spend at least a week working on those both areas, more if you like, and you should be able to use body awareness nicely, and your arms and legs should be nicely sensitised. Well, at least it's like that for me!

I hate clearing the internal dialogue. I AM one of the few people on this particular section of this forum who HAS read/is reading Robert Bruce's works. I've read PPSD and I'm reading a bit into Astral Dynamics. The interal dialogue is the worst thing since...well...ever!!! I hate it! I've tried breath awareness like from PPSD but I believe the pages within Astral Dynamics hold more information on the trance state and clearing the internal dialogue than PPSD does. It's just....evil!

Great piece of wisdom there Tom. It also says so in NEW Energy Ways, which I think you should check out, Jon. Try to stay away from sites that teach you Ki in particular. Wait until you get better with understanding and using energy to really tell the BS sites from the good ones.

And again, there are no such thing as power levels. You can compare yourself to how good you are to someone else, but there is truly no way of measuring it, in numbers or otherwise.

Hmm the Apocolypse. Well what does that word even mean? Literally, it means "time of revealing," or so I heard. So it's not the end of the world, it's the end of an eon (good one parmenion). I'm also writing a story right now that just doesn't seem to want to "work" with me.

My dreams: I'm standing in an empty barren city. Others surround me, all waiting, preparing, for something to appear. Suddenly a flash of light, a loud rumbling and the ground shakes. After the quake there is a shriek. A deep, loud, unmanly shriek. A huge creature emerges from a crater. We all charge in with swords raised (why do we have swords??). Of course, all of us can use energy in some form or another. We all attack this creature in one form or another and suddenly it ends and I wake up.

Another dream is where I'm travelling, lost through a maze of emptiness. When I finally reach the goal I somehow end up on the shore. In the distance, a massive black creature rises out of the distant water and bellows that he is the one who will end us all and have power over all eternity. As he says this a great fear grips my heart and I fall over crying. I try to fight it but it always laughs it all off. This particular dream has recurred for as long as I can remember and I've never fully seen it, remembered it, or understood it.

I've also had dreams recurring about aliens attacking but me somehow using energy to ward them off. I don't even study or practice energy combat but I somehow know it in these dreams.

My theories/prophecies?? on the End -
Basically, a great catastrophe will happen. Whether it be a war, a massive amount of death, I don't know. With all the current negative energies everywhere in the world, the Real-Time Zone and Negs are very close to us. This is why so many people are getting psychic attacks and hauntings so often. Now this big great catastrophe will be enough to make gateways between the physical and Real-Time to open up all over the place, worse than ever. This is possibly the 5th (alien) force that you were talking about, Parmenion. At the end of it, the Real-Time Astral Zone will FUSE with the Physical, and then reality as we know it will cease to exist. Everything will constantly change, and everything will be a confusing turmoil of vicious battle as different groups of humans go off in their different ways as the Negs try to destroy us all.

Finally, the spiritually evolved realise what they must do and fuse themselves into a higher being. Others than come into it and eventually all is one and we are a God. This gives us the ability to recreate the world into some place peaceful, where energy is accepted and learnt, and pretty much, Eden all over again.

The only thing I'm worried about is the pathway to this new world, and whether or not whoever has the power to create it has a kind heart or not. Love is the most powerful emotion of all, and I would hate to lose all those I love in this world and never see them in the next. Perhaps our love will pull us through this huge cataclysmic event?

I don't know. All I know is that I always feel as though something is coming. Something I must prepare myself and my loved ones for. My family doesn't accept this all so I guess I might not see them ever again, when the time comes. All I hope is that Humankind will realise who and what it is, and that all this death and hate is not what we were made for. Love and peace should be the focus of the next world. Eternal bliss. Something that should not become corrupt for at least 10 generations.

Sorry bout the long post, I get pretty dramatic about this kind of subject ^_^.

Hey.

I'm going to be a bit blunt at first and then I'll theorise to soften the blow.

Firstly, the bluntness. Get over yourself. Comprehend your abilities rather than act as if they are god-given gifts for you to save the world. No single human could save the world. Period.

And now, the theories[]. This is most likely ego. Whenever I get into religious theory or I'm depressed I start to lean towards the "chosen one" complex. It's just a normal teenage thing. But also, a LOT of people have had dreams like this. I see myself with a hell of a lot of people I don't know, but yet I do. Some witchcraft, some ki practitioners, and all metaphysical practitioners. We're standing in a deserted city and some huge massive creature rises out of the ground and we all attack. Of course I'm older in these dreams but of course it's probably my ego.

But hey, time will tell. Maybe some day we'll all be lined up for war. Those enlightened to those who we try to make understand.

I tend not to dwell on this subject tho, too much energy work to be done.

Here's some advice:

Try to keep things down to Earth. Useless Eastern terms and Jargon only make matters worse. Defining what "different energies" are is simply an obstacle. Keeping things simple (energy is energy, end of story) is the way that Robert Bruce has done things and I've found it to be useful. And yes, DO buy Astral Dynamics and maybe Practical Psychic Self-Defense. Both teach you the basic fundamentals of energy and also PPSD offers some advice on protecting yourself from the Negative spirit attacks that seem to come with energy training.
