Welcome to Astral Chat! / Martial Arts
May 12, 2003, 02:28:15
When I was at school my judo teacher told me about a judo champion who was leaving a venue where she had just won a big competion - at least national, bigger I think. 3 of her friends decided to play a joke on her and jumped her from behind. She totally froze up and wasn't able to react at all to the situation.
I was listening to an aikido sensei on the radio just a couple of days ago who was talking about a big shot karate bloke who was walking down a dark alleyway when he felt a hand grab his shoulder. Spinning around and instinctively attacking he broke his assailants neck. Only it wasn't an assailant, it was his friend who was just saying hello.
My brother told me about an aikido master who was in Glasgow some while back. Walking down the street, minding his own business, 3 neds (local pikie/stig/misguided youth) jumped him from behind. He didn't even break his step. They were not hurt.

Aikido is much more peaceful and looks to diffuse a situation while defending all the parties involved. The more aggressive martial arts are geared towards defending yourself, at any cost.
For a warrior, the aggressive approach would work better on a battlefield (LOL can you imagine an aikido army coming up hand to hand against another army? It would look quite comical!! Like waves on an ocean, tossing people everywhere). But I think that for most, aikido is preferable.
That said, each to their own and all. I recently took up jeet kune do which is seriously sweet, a lot of fun. I would love to do aikido too, I might look into it when I go back to uni.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / the NEW book

Not that you want to pressure anyone at all!! But, if you did, you might want to pester Donni, as she is co-authoring it. Also, I am sure she will send you the preliminary work that has been done on the book if you ask her nicely enough! There's not too much new there (damnit what a name...! Pun-tastic..) but it sounds like you'll find it interesting anyhow. Also, if you want to get really deep into the subject matter you might want to look into eastern practices. I have only just come into contact with these disciplines so I cant help you on the exact area.

Boomy!! [:D]

I have just tried the ally - yeah it is a good size. I plan on buying one, when I have the money - or maybe, if I ever have the money!

Hey I hadn't heard that alien one!! But, it seems to me that the technology in this area has been growing for years and even I have a few theories on how it might work. I really think they are what they claim to be, and the lady who sold it was really nice and obviously thought so too (that they work).
I dont know about the pain in the chest - quite odd!?!
The first night my grandad had it in the house, he was really badly confused, much worst than normal. But the night after that, very peaceful and much better. Probably detoxing or something.

Keep us updated!!

No, this is all done by the subconscious mind. The conscious mind only has to visualise what it is trying to create, know what it is and etc. The specifics are handled by the subconscious, in a similar way to how dreams are made - maybe, in exactly the same way...?

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother, addiction is a terrible thing.
Robert Bruce wrote this some time ago - best I emphasis that your brother might not have anything like this sort of experience, but it may help none the less:

"One example: I have been helping a friend suffering long term alcoholism, by teaching him Core Image work. After thirty days of hunting he stumbled upon several major core images, relating to the loss of his baby brother when he was ten years old. He treated these and, overnight, lost his urge to drink. The sight and smell and thought of alcohol now makes him physically sick. He went through a few weeks of depression and emptiness, but is now bouncing back and getting himself a 'life'. Its now been several months since he last had a drink. And lastly, this man's luck also changed considerably. "

Hope this helps....

ANYTHING can be healed!! Get him practicing the NEW system asap, or if he wont maybe you would like to and send him energy on a regular basis. The same with core image removals, it is possible - no, make that probable - the asthma has some psychological root (I seem to be picking this up quite strongly, make what you will of it). If you cannot get him doing CIR you can do it for him, this should help, but I dont know if that will be quite as effective.
Articles on all this can be found (for CIR) in basic psychic countermeasures on the main site, and the NEW system in the tutorials section.
I dont know much about asthma, but isn't medication generally just a temporary quick fix?
good luck!

Hey
I dont know a lot about reiki but anxiety will probably IMO best be combatted with regular meditation and introspection.
Anxiety for me is an undercurrent that runs through my conscious mind from the subconscious. Meditation will stabilise the mind, quench the flow of self doubt and replace it with a still sense of calm. It will also allow you to see yourself in a new, better, light, and aid the process of introspection - that is, "Man, know thyself". Once you understand youself enough, you will start being much more inwardly compassionate, and realise quite how trivial the things you are worrying about truly are.
Hope this helps!!

Hey,

I've got the orgone accumulators handbook! Its quite good, and has a load of controlled tests they have done with accumulators at the back. Yeah I think its all real, I've tried making an accumulator and the feel inside of it is very static-y. It was made from a bake beans tin, polystyrene layers and wire wool :)
I did try and do a test with it using cress seeds, double (triple?) blind and everything, but it didn't work out - probably cos I messed up the test, and left them growing with no water while I went on holiday! I couldn't find any significant growth differences between the dead stalk legnths of a control, some seeds in the accululator right next to an electrical source (to create an negative oranor environment inside) and some seeds place above a little bit of orgonite. I might do a better full on decent test at some point, somewhere away from all electrical appliances and etc.
I have also built a cloudbusters, which use orgone technology, and know they work. No doubt james demeo would tell me off for that though! He might be right. Also, with other HHG's (hehe) I've had other people - both sensetive and not - tell me they can feel the effects of it.
btw with the scientific component - I am kinda in contact with someone who has been doing research on free energy, healing machines etc etc for lots of years and this is what he said somewhere else:
"I may be wrong have found a mixture of carnauba and resin created by Eguchi about 1920 forms the best electret cake. Also when in a molten state it can be electroized further by the application of a high voltage.Addition of metal particles, crystals act as oscillators. If you want to go deeper into it you can use QED.I see HHgs no more or no less than a dielectric or a tetra hertz Transmiter/reciever.Have found that if metals used are the planetary ones ie iron, copper, tin, lead, mercury, silver, gold, which ones depends
on your application. The dimensions are important bring in the golden angle and ratio into the construction. "
Which I mostly understand but am not sure how it relates to energy technology. Maybe it helps to reinforce the vibrations of the life forms around it? But then this is similar to an accululator, which are most definately dealing with a form of substance, rather just resonating substance. Maybe there is a cross-over? I dunno..
Also if this is just the case, then wouldn't it reinforce desease patterns too? Maybe they dont resonate as such, but vibrate in a disruptive and uneven way.

Thats very interesting you got the same woosie feeling from the q-link. But I really dont think you need worry about it screwing up your chakras - as I remember they did a lot of tests and found 7 different "bands" of human frequencies they tune the q-links to. No prizes for guessing what those bands might be associated with....
The link you posted is very interesting. What would be really interesting would be an in depth comparison between all the different products - there are so many out there! I never realised.

All that said though, I have noticed some increase in my negativity in the last few days though this could be caused by anything, it could be an indirect effect of the qlink - possibly some sort of flushing out? It has been noticed that they can cause a detox period in the first while of q-link wearing, so maybe thats what it is. Lol I dont need to worry about it twisting my energy body though, its already totally shafted!...
Out of interest which is the other one you were talking about - with crystals in it? Not the "super receptor" by any chance?

And hey, do you still have that qlink???

cheers!

Ooohhh I think I'll join in...

People not being honest and open to me. Hiding behind fake smiles, silence or turned faces. If someone has a problem with me I want to know it damnit! Maybe then someone can do something, or at least reach a stage of mutual understanding. I like to know where I stand with someone. I also I really dont like the whole superficiality of human interaction, though I feel sorry or people stuck in that way of thinking. Guess I am a little paranoid at times though :p. I think, the latter of those two points comes down to an underlying flaw in how our society works - what is important is what you are SEEN to be, not what you ARE. So people go on living the life others think they should be living, and get further and further away from themself. This then leads to the sheep mentality and the pressure to adopt the norms of society along with all the pre-conceptions and flawed ideologies that go with it. If only people could learn to look inside.....introspection and understanding of all should be taught in school from the first.

Bu I think my biggest, full on hate, is for those who oppress, who hold back truth, who get in the way of our evolution into light. Like those stage magicians who set out to debunk all things paranormal, scum!!! (the "amazing" randi, penn and teller (sp?) etc). The people who watch and laugh are nearly as bad, though they are more ignorant than evil (what a word! eeeeeevil!!), it seems to me the step from one to the other isnt such a big one...

lol rant over

Hey

I have been thinking about the mind/brain thing, and whats really going on. Have come to some sort of half-conclusion that the physical brain is the seat of the subconscious mind. So, neurologists see which areas of the brain are associated with physical movement, etc etc and give themselves a big pat on the back thinking they have solved the mind. But all these things are the modifiers of consciousness - the mind is a big computer, thats all. It lets consciousness interface with the world, shifts its focus etc.
err where was I....hmmm...
oh yes!
I find it very interesting then that the physical body is paralysed during an OBE - could it be that the sections of the brain which are used for movement are being used elsewhere? But then, its a bit confusing, because what about when you die....hmmm.

Anyway, its a thought.

Oh, as an interesting aside, I am thinking that with the process of spiritual progression, the area our consciousness operates in gets higher and higher through the dimensional scale. That is, starting as being entirely immersed in the physical and astral areas - that is, unconscious and emotional. I mean, really, its pretty obvious that most people spend most the time acting in a robot like manner, reacting and thinking in terms of emotions. eg when you say something someone dissagrees with, the initial pulse of disagreement comes before the logical thought process - the intellect is simply used as a tool to come up with the reason why they are right or wrong, to justify a preconcieved opinion. The preconception could be due to whether they like or dislike the idea (emotional), if it conflicts with their beliefs (subconscious/memory based?).

Lol, I could continue to ramble on, but I'll leave it at that!

Hey

I used to collect RB's posts on the old forums, got a big word file with lots of stuff in it. Also I got another file with some great posts by other people. You can grab them here:

www.blanc.demon.co.uk/postsrb.doc
www.blanc.demon.co.uk/ararchive1.doc

I am pretty sure there is some good stuff in both of them. More recent at the bottom - I think.

"They WERE. Most have defected, surrendered, or been killed."
Oh? Well, foolish me! How about pointing me in the direction of, say, a photo of a few of tens of thousand of Iraqis surrendering then? If they have been surrendering en mass, the popular press would be screaming it out....but....
or if they had been just dropping arms and running, we would have seen the columns of deserters leaving baghdad but....well, they probably learned not to desert the Iraqi army after the US bombed and killed so many thousands of deserters on the "highway of death" last war.

"You betcha. There's just NO WAY that the reports could be fabricated to the extent you seem to believe possible. "
Why not? Journalists who are not imbedded get beaten and escorted out of the country like those poor Portugese blokes a while back. And the ones who are imbedded (ALL the popular press ones) are shown only what the military want to show them, which is not a whole lot, and so the press relies almost totally on news from the pentagon and london when it comes to anything important ie not just getting pretty pictures of statues of saddam statues being toppled, but actually looking at the larger picture. The embedded journalists get to see a very small part of the human side, what its like for soldiers. Thats all.
Further have the constant threat of censorship and being chucked from the country, should they step out of line. I mean, seriously, what journalist is going to write anything bad about the war when they are surrounded by marines who read their every word? It stinks.

"Yeah, the old publishers of Pravda! Sure can trust THEM for the truth! Do you really believe this?"
Hey!! I like Pravda!!!
I trust them more than the popular press, which told you about "crowds of cheering Iraqis". What they didn't tell you:
http://www.iraqwar.ru/iraq-read_article.php?articleId=2561&lang=en
The bigger picture counts:
http://www.iraqwar.ru/iraq-read_article.php?articleId=2559&lang=en

I am sticking to my guns with 90% fabrication. This comes from actual EVIDENCE rather than postulation. Even I was totally shocked by the amount of BS being released.
Like I said, at the time of the articles writing I read (which I still cant find!! ggrr!!) Basra had been taken 9 times. If it was then taken properly that leaves....90% fabrication, like I said. However, it is more than like that they lied another say, 5 times, before it was actually taken, which would give us 94% rubbish.
Then there were the chemical "weapons" which were found and touted so loudly. Eeeerrmm - pesticide?! Damn those Iraqis for killing insects!!! Murderers!!!!!!!!! hehehe. I could go on.

But, if you want to get emotional, try the other side of the coin, the REAL human cost:

Hey!
No problem! Your apology is appreciated.
Yeah I totally agree, the catch basket is the way forward. You are a teacher right? Any chance you will be able to spread the philosohpy into the classroom? It really is up to people like you to make or break kids when it comes to open mindedness and thinking for themselves, as opposed to standard conformity and learning by rote, which is so prevelant in schools. I heard that they are even using similar tricks to dog trainers to teach kids in america....
I wonder if it was always like this? Oh well - good luck!

You cannot trust anything in the press about the war at the moment, about 90% it complete fabrication. I read a very good article on this and have been looking for it with no luck, but ever the BBC are getting really quite annoyed. Example 1: We were told they had taken Basra 9 times at the count of the articles writing, which must have been over a week ago. Complete BS. Example 2: Recently heard that Saddams hundreds of tanks had been reduced to estimated 17 (rather exact don't you think?) - I predict that this too, is utter rubbish. We would have heard about it and seen pictures of the amassed wreckage, but we have not. Only one of two, here and there, made to look like big breakthroughs.
I could go on, but there are numerous examples of flagrant lying and propaganda - on both sides, of course. It is interesting and quite enlightening to watch for them.
From what I can tell, I am afraid we still haven't seen the main battles - the Iraqi army is hundreds of thousands strong. As I see it (very, very limited vision!) current battles have involved at the very most a few thousand. Eg hosiptals in Baghdad are talking about being stretched in capacity with hundreds of wounded, if the main forces (many of which are likely to be hiding in the capital) had been employed by now, there would be many, many thousand of casualties.
The Iraqis are purposefully using strange tactics. It is entirely possible that they are trying to lull the invading army into a sense of false security, and using Baghdad as a trap, although I am not sure they are well enough organised, trained or equipted to be able to pull that off. I shouldn't think it would be too hard though, it is their city, after all, and they have had ample time to prepare. Of course, I could be wildly wrong.

I would strongly advise against simply believing one point of view, especially when emotions are strong - the info coming from the pentagon is bad enough and *then* the media spin it even worst.
The best site I have found so far for news is www.iraqwar.ru - english: http://www.iraqwar.ru/?userlang=en
They seem quite impartial to all this and appear to be trying to put down the facts as they are, without all the emotional gabble of the popular press. Good old Russians!! A dependable people.

Yeah he was a bit sick, and yes he seemed to delight in playing tricks on the less discerning members of our species, leading people up the garden path a bit etc. And I think he got through a number of boyfriends....not leaving them, I think they died. I could be wrong. There is a LOT or rubbish that surrounds him.

BUT

(and it is a big one)

He was a real adept, and maybe even a genius to boot.
To be honest I was about to write about how I had read the book 4 I on mysticism (which is highly recommended), but just noticed, that it is very different from his other writings, being dictated by him and written by someone else, in a very different style. Which means I have a bit of a chasm to cross before I can talk about the main bulk of his work with any semblance of authority, but I can still point out the enormous mark he left upon the magickal community. One of the most famous and influential magickians ever, which says something. Even if many of the things he wrote were a bit, ahh, impregnable.
You will be able to find book 4 I - Liber Aba - online somewhere. It is very good, and well worth reading, if I remember rightly.
The other stuff....I wouldn't know.
He wrote a big book on Yoga too if I remember right, I have been meaning to take a look at it for some time now...
all the best

I think musicmatch jukebox can rip. Get it to do it to mp3 only though, certainly not wav! For every one song in wav you can get at least ten times the amount in mp3. 128bps is standard.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The true costs of war
March 20, 2003, 07:32:26
"For others it's a chance to see the world. For some it's a chance to advance their education on the govt. dime. Whatever their reasons, I never once heard a fellow enlisted man say, "I joined up cause I want to kill people". Not once..."

But still, they joined the services by their own free will - whatever the reasons they saw to join, they saw this as more important than being a part of the big killbot machine (lol!). Essentially they chose to be part of an instrument of death and terror because they wanted to "see the world" or etc. I do understand, they don't see it in these terms, they don't fully understand what they are being asked to do. But when you look at it in this light its a bit of a lame excuse. The possibility of being killed or killing someone else, well is it really worth that just to get a bit of free education?
I would never, ever join the army. Although my bro is joining as a medic, and my dad was a major in the TA and big army buff. They practically re-program your brain to accept orders, and then free-will plummets. But still, if they were about to be called up to fight, couldn't they just say "I can't do this, I am a conscientious objector" or something? They can't force you to fight surely...

I do hope that as few of them as possible are killed or injured, but I don't really have much sympathy for the ones who are rearing to "go bag us some rag-heads", more their relatives who will have to live with the loss. A much bigger piece of my heart goes out the innocent Iraqis.

Anyway this whole issue is very cunning, I am forever impressed by the skills of them spin-doctors!! Notice how, whenever tricky issues come up which a voice in authority wants to quash, the emphasis is shifted entirely off the issue and on to some fluffy emotional thing. Example - reading an article last night on the war starting, and the only thing it mentions Tony Blair saying is the whole "wishing the troops well" bit. Completely side-stepping the fact that he has just sent thousands of our troops, paid for by the taxpayers, to an almost defenceless country thousands of miles away, some of whom won't come back, most of whom will cause massive pain and bloodshed, and all put there against the expressed wishes of the British general public (and I used to call this a democracy...). Basically, they are sly SOB's.
Best not to get caught up in the emotional side-shows and keep our eyes on the real issue.

Now I am here there is one other thing that I really want to say - we all knew this war was coming, some only seeing this as a certainty in the last few days, others seeing it hurtling unstoppably towards us months ago. We were almost powerless to stop it, from the beginning. But!! Look how much we have delayed it!! People (skilled psychics included) have in 100% of the cases I have seen predicted the war would have started much earlier than it actually has done (I was expecting it one month ago). And look what has happened - they've been stuttering, tripping up, putting themselves in some really laughable situations, the controversy that has brewed up, the protests....its really encouraging, I think people are actually beginning to wake up.

peace
Rob
