Messages - Awakened_Mind

Another thing that I'm finding makes it easier to project is simply being on these forums. I'm waking up a lot more out of my body. Perhaps talking about it constantly is playing a big part on my subconscious.

Here's a few sites that might help

http://skepdic.com/dejavu.html

and

http://mb-soft.com/public/dejavu.html

"Deja Vu is different from these other phenomena, by definition. A person who experiences Deja Vu does not have any clue whatever that something is GOING to happen (like Precognition), but merely has the sensation (during and afterward) of having already experienced the scene." Good point.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Healing power of sleep?
December 01, 2006, 02:53:38
I think sleep is a regeneration process of some undefined source of energy. Even when I project, there are still times of the night I can't account for. This said, I wonder what the case is in higher dimensions. Do they need to rest as well or does the fact that they transcend time cancel this out?

I think it's not only that they are slippery but also the fact that your not sure which ones you should actually be paying attention to. Some of them come into reality and others don't, which you never really 'hear from' again.

It is also not clear why they happen at all, are they signposts to some spiritual development or merely some accidental precog alignment?

A good essay on "What is Enlgihtenment?"

http://www.english.upenn.edu/~mgamer/Etexts/kant.html

I've read the Power of Now. Definately a good book. Another good one thats very well written. You can read it in no more than 3 hours is Buddhism Plain and simple. To anyone thats interested in the topic of 'the way of living' books, I'd recommend the book as an investment.

The mayans did not predict global economys and anything that have come into existance proceeding the invention of their calendar. Certain elements of our civilisation have simply alligned with their calendar and WE have said this is what they were predicting. The calendar you live by, 365 days, was invented by the Mayans. They used it for tax purposes.

Quote from: Sharpe on December 01, 2006, 00:30:52
The maya's wouldn't know anything about physical objects hitting another physical object, this is a fact.

They were the most precise civilisation in estimating the location of the planet, even accomodating for the change in the speed of the earth's rotation. This is before modern science had even begun to conceptualize the idea that the earth was not the centre of the universe. THIS IS FACT

While I'll agree some people have manipulated the mayan calendar and elaborated on recent events, it's obvious to me that you have not properly disected the available information. Your last post was immature and uninformed.

I am personally a little sceptical of the asteroid myself. There's not much of it around on the internet. Also the mayan's were measuring the evolution in consciousness, not the end of the world that has been injected into society recently. We aren't all going to perish.

I would say that 44% figure is inaccurate. A lot of people believe in a higher power, or at least are aware of a more appropriate way of being, and do not subscribe to any specific religion. My attitude is: If Jesus never went to church, why should I?

I won't say that people believing in any form of religious content are crazy or wrong. Personally I don't believe God would always want to be worshiped or recognized. I do however, understand the significance of the change Christ brought. It makes perfect sense why so many people believe in him. Religious people chose to carry the message of their prophets. It has since been manipulated but nonetheless, incredible.

It's a name given to exercises that promote the development of your energy body. Assists a lot in projection.

Interesting you bring up this. I have been considering some sought of 'wave' explanation for OBE's of course it would not be total, but every piece of the puzzle is significant at this stage.

It has already been dabbed on before. You would of heard of "frequencies of consciousness". Possibly an area of focus in the future.

I do not doubt that you can experience an OBE when you have schizophrenia. What concerns me is how PersonOfEvil's posts seem to indicate that his mind struggles to concentrate on one thing, which is necessary for conscious exit.

I would assume that if this factor remains constant, his chances of OBE are likely to diminish. Spontaneous projection is not completely wiped out as a possibility.

PersonOfEvil, do you think it would be possible to begin with lucid dreaming? You may have faster progress this way.

Which part of the brain was it? I can remember reading once that they thought it was the amygdala.

Here it is http://www.astralvoyage.com/projection/amygdala.html

I find something odd about the study personally. Why has it not been repeated a hundred times? It also suggests that you can experience a conscious projection through stimulation of a particular brain part, reflexively.

To me this is more of a claim than a scientific study. Not to mention the frontal lobe is responsible for higher processing. Thoughts more precisely. Over time the brain has evolved and developed the frontal lobe. Is this suggesting that before the evolution of the brain, we were not able to experience astral travel?

Given no scientific evidence this information realistically renders any conclusion to a part of the brain being the cause of an OBE, premature.

IMO, it offers more hope to projectors that we are not delusional than any solid form of argument.

This link is on the argument against the notion that the amygdala is responsible for projection, and more responsible for the 'hallucination'.

http://www.meta-religion.com/Psychiatry/The_Paranormal/hallucinations.htm <---may have to scroll down to find what I'm talking about.

I'd say they are part of the physiology of your astral or etheric body. I know your physical body stays still when you are experiencing vibrations so one would assume science would struggle to explain something that it cannot measure.

I woudn't say it's entirely psychological because something is definately happening, unless all of us are suffering from the same delusion?

I've had experiences like that before. I haven't been entirely separated from my body, but then I've never tried to do it.

I know your astral body becomes looser when you are extremely tired. It's harder to concentrate but you definately begin to feel the astral body separating ealier than you would usually and with a lot less effort.

Looking forward to your website.

A common obstacle in early attempts is accepting the fact that you were out of your body. Some SCUBA divers find it scary to adjust to breathing under water in the beginning.

If the experience was distinct to a dream and you feel you were somehow out of your body, I'd say you probably were. Embrace it. The more you attempt projection, the clearer it will become that in fact you were out of your body.

When is the movie being released? I watched the trailer and it didn't say at the end of it. I didn't really search the site for it, just closed the window.

To believe I think is sometimes used as an extravagant way of saying to think. To me, belief falls somewhere between "to think" and "to know", which is not to be interpreted as knowledge. Knowledge is accessing information and drawing a conclusion, knowing is a movement.

One should care less about the accuracy of his thoughts and more for the right to have them.

How all dimensions seem to exist not separate but in the same place complementary to each other makes you wonder how deep our 'self' actually is. Being the fact that they are complementary I think when I experience this highest consciousness it will be a realization that I have been there forever.

I've read there are 12 dimensions. http://www.geocities.com/aloha3003/Mediation12Dimension.html

Interesting theory. Not sure where it originated. I think they should of reversed the order from 1st through 12th instead of the other way around.

It takes me about 15 mins give or take to reach that state now, and I'll be in it for about another 20 - 30 mins before my body naturally "returns to normal".

Are you saying that you experience vibrations for 20 - 30 mins before your body goes back to normal?

Perhaps stimulating your energy body is draining you. Are you tired after they stop?

Another thing, you asked originally whether you should just "keep on through". What did you mean by that?

Do you think the near death experience contributed to her awareness?

Well thats what I'm assuming.

She's a lot different to other kids. Her general nature is always bright and happy. Sometimes goes a little wild behaves outside her age range. Socially she excels. She makes friends with anyone her age and is always in control of what activity they are doing. She is also very creative. Writing stories and drawing a lot.

Also, she is my youngest sibling but we relate very strongly. She's very human. Closer to the ideal concept of one. Very giving, ambitious etc. It's like life flows around around her but ultimately cannot interfere. Hard to put this in words. It's something I've noticed but never really thought about.

It's not that no other kids are like this without a NDE. To me though there's something a lot different about her. The only variable that seems to be different is the fact that she's had a NDE. I would definitely say it changed her to some extent, as do OBE's. The question is: To what extent?

It may also be something you can control non-spiritually. As it is a basic instinct. It all really depends on why exactly you want to lower the sexual energy.

Good Luck.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: 11:11

I see a lot of 12:34 as well and 10:11.

Interesting point actually. Sometimes I've noticed that I've been seeing a lot of BMW's around. Obviously significant enough to bring it to my attention. The fact that I'd initially seen enough of them to pass a 'threshold', perhaps for my subconscious to start believing it's relevant, may then provoke further recognition of that particular make of car. Until the subconscious perhaps gets bored and stops recognising it.

Yes definately. Science can sometimes cut off things it may consider 'unscientific'. I'm sure we would be more open minded when listening to their explanation. Not to mention that science only focuses on what is measureable whereas people in our 'field' utilize explanatory power.
