I was actually going to start a thread on this earlier today. Over the last few months I've been having a significant number of Deja Vu's (DJV). Some of them are of recent dreams and others are of ones I've had in the past. I had one while writing a thread to which made me think of it.

It's hard to explain the nature of a DJV. To me simply saying "Something that you have already seen before" just doesn't cut it. To me there is something non-visual about DJV's. Something that not only relates to what you are seeing, but a feeling like you had in the dream/preminition. A sense in the environment.

During these 'types' of dreams I've noticed as well how slippery there are. More than usual. It's as if they are forgotten and awaiting to be reactivated when the time comes to pass in the 'real world'. Sometimes they occur at totally irrelevant times as well. Not necessarily before something extravagant but often things that are simpler. Like taking something out of the car and someone is standing in a certain position saying something while the wind blows and a glass smashes then boom "I've seen this before".

I'm not a qualified doctor but I'll say this: Anything that offers you power will invite negative karma.

Power that is immediately gratifying. Power that seems to be best used for the good of you and not others. Power is only good when an individual has control over themselves and uses it wisely. Power has a certain responsibility associated with it.

Heed Novices' advice.

I'd say they are auditory hullicinations. To the way I understand your explanation of the experience, sounds a lot like some of my own. I wrote them off as auditory hullicinations.

When you hear them can do you stop and they stop?

I'd say if you were doing any energy work on sexual energy it would promote it. If you purposely created blockage in your energy system then it may have this effect but then why would you want a block in your energy system.

May I ask why you want to know this?

I remember being told when visiting caves that people weren't encouraged to touch them. When you do salt off your skin makes the stalactites black instead of a waxy colour. Blood has salt in it. I'm assuming the blood on these stalactites is put in the story to dramatise it.

Interesting nonetheless.

It's amazing how universal the 11:11 phenomena is. I have had people from different social groups bring it up in conversations. Different forums. I'm located in Australia by the way so this is an international thing. It is definately a time I see most often.

If you look up '11:11 mayan calendar' in google it'll come up with some sites you might be interested in looking at. It says that the mayan calendar finishes a 11:11

Religion is such a controversial issue. Amazing how something that is supposed to be associated with infinite love, (whether you call it God, ullah etc) can create so much dismay.

Before examining someone elses ignorance, exmaine your own.

Nymphette,

My advice is to take it one step at a time. I know from experience that doing too much at once could confuse you and stagnate your development because it can be too much to take in. You are better off developing one thing at a time, get comfy with it, and move on to the next. The rest will follow by itself. You will know what to do next and when you are ready. Just start anywhere really, whatever intrests you the most. You will feel when you need to learn something about something else to move on etc. And have fun doing it, trying too hard can cause stagnation simply because we are then working from ego.

I agree with this. I would urge you to begin on something small and work your way up. Don't just try to develop psychic abilities straight away. The main ability to develop is concentration. Start off on that and you'll find it a lot easier to pick things up down the track and most importantly, you'll find them easier to control.

I find it strange how many people refer to Jesus as the son of god, when he himself said he was "the son of man".

It's important to realise the time that Christ was around, Rome had it's kings labelled as Gods. Whatever the king or God said, so be it. This lead to much suffering. Christ brought the idea that we are ALL children of God. Not just royal blood. Uniting man as one instead of some social hierachy.

His message that we are all children of God has been misniterpreted as if he were the only one, or at least - the most important. Who does this misconception really benefit though? Christ is going to save us all? Don't count your chickens before they hatch, I say we try at least to save ourselves.

Seeing is believing, but don't believe all you see.

If you think about it rationally, the early projectors did it with no information at all. No forums, no books and more than likely - no concept of an OBE all together. If you get started then come back and report your experiences on these forums, someone will help you through it. We can all relate to how frustrating/difficult it is at the beginning but I really don't know of any member who won''t try to help you.

Happy travelling,

Do you believe it's something that we need to prepare for, or something that is going to occur naturally? I think the Mayan's describe it as a natural process.

I read in Immanuel Kant's essay on enlightenment "Enlightenment is a man's emergence from his own self-imposed immaturity." He follows later "there is more chance of a public enlightenment". I understand that a lot more now than when I first read it. It is easier for us to become enlightened if those around us are at the same time. This in my understanding should be inevitable regardless of whether 2012 takes place or not.

What else would account for the exponential increase in concepts? Any ideas?

I think the human race collectively does think a lot of itself. Our ignorance always stops us. First the earth is the center universe, then the worlds is flat, then we can't fly. Now some of us can in the RTZ without wings or and engine.

IMO, contemporary religions are going to seriously struggle trying to emphasize God's exclusive relationship with man if extra-terrestrials visit. How well will religion hold up in this coming space-age?

I can agree with what outofbodydude is saying partially; we are unique, but not almighty.

Will definately be something I'll be interested in seeing. I've got a mayan calendar in my room (Behind the "2012 The Odyssey" writing in the picture).

It used to hand on the wall outside my bedroom door when I was about 11. Mum got it from Peru. Now I have it  :-D

Looks alright.

Have you seen this 3d graphic design website:

Some of them look close to real photos. Attention to detail is incredible. I'm guessing they're running crazy VGA's.

I've had experiences before when I am hitting my boxing bag, where I'll think to throw a punch and my astral arm seem to move before the physical one. The body then generally follows and then punch comes off very quickly and efficiently. I've never experienced vibrations like this. Perhaps it's not my astral arm at all. It's the only way I can describe it. Perhaps etheric?

You know if a non-believer in OBE's discovered that we were discussing the vision of little people dancing around, I think it would be the straw the broke the camels back.

Send me some. I'll make them do chores for me. Are they safe with children?

Personally I believe in god as omnipresent. Not a person sitting on a chair in a place called heaven, everything all at once. IMO heaven is a unity with this whole being. The highest consciousness of all. God seems to a singularity and everything at once.

Perhaps after many afterlifes that may await me, and complete spiritual evolution I will experience God, maybe. On one hand I can't wait and on the other I know I am not spiritually ready to experience such greatness. Whoa I just had a massive Deja Vu.

Interesting to know how other people interpret the concept?

Personally I believe there are two main emotions or states of being in my life. A sought of Yin Yang relationship.

The first is fear. Fear is a state of being that we generally direct at external things. "This can harm me, this has the potential to harm me etc". At times like these, you are in fear. There is doubt and it manifests itself in such ways as anger, frustration... any emotion you would consider hindering to your general well-being.

The second is love. True love, IMO, is first directed in wards and then projected out onto the world. Sometimes loving the world is loving yourself also. Love does not focus on certainty in the world, simply because reality can never be shaped into a choice mold. It focuses on certainty in self. Eradicating doubt in the world by being certain that it is unpredictable. By understanding this unpredictability from another angle. Instead of "Oh gosh anything bad could happen, don't go there", love's attitude is "Oh gosh anything good can happen here, don't stand around waiting for the opportunity to pass you." This conquers fear all together. There are many different ways to explain this, but it is a truth I personally seem to just understand. As my signature says "Truth exists beyond the dimension of thought." Perhaps try to find a truth in fear yourself and use it to understand your personal situation.

No idea if this helps, but I thought I'd mention it.

I've stopped believing in conicidences. I suppose that's a phase from science and doubt to belief and spirituality.

It sounds like it was a prediction. Perhaps it's symbolic or a signpost to a changing time in your life. Spiritually.

Chemistry as an area of scientific study is somewhat limited. There are only so many elements that can be discovered in the physical universe. Not to say that no more are going to be discovered. I'm not sure whether they'll do anything about the naming system with new mention of anti-matter.

If you describe it as a dream, I'd look further into it's meaning to you specifically than to us as a collective whole. Perhaps your discovering something new in your life associated with a feeling you have about metal. The meaning of dreams are very ambiguous. I'm not sure whether people truly ever master the understanding of them or become better at a good hit ratio?

Me too. They are very informative sites. A lot more studies are being done on it recently. I'd applaud the fact Parapsychology has been recognised as a scientific discipline. Also internet forums such as these are very helpful. I wonder where we are headed?

Lovin it.

Persistence is the key. OBE's are a constant learning experience. You will always encounter new problems. You will overcome them. All of us are still learning, even the most experienced projector.
