Put on some headphones and listen to binural beats/hemi-sync (which will emit focus altering frequencies). Or you can put ear plugs in if you don't want to listen to the music but still need to drown outside sounds.

Last night when I got to Focus 10, I heard a weird whistling tube sound moving around (it would move towards me and then away). Eventually the whistling stopped and I heard a weird meow/tire hissing sound.

I wonder why we can hear those strange sounds? Although I have heard that we are tuning to the Astral Plane as one theory.

Focus 7 to 10 - You'll see swirling colors and sometimes pulsing lights.
Focus 12 - Expanded conscious awareness which has the 3d blackness.

When you first awaken, you are still at a peaceful and focused state which gives you a head start. Congrats, you made it to Focus 12 for a few seconds.

When you try to make it to Focus 12 again though, do not strongly desire to get to that state. You have to be a passive observer with only a mild air of curiousity, otherwise if you get too excited or desperate then you will find yourself unable to make that state again.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / ORBs

I have physically seen an orb one time. It was the size of a small bouncy ball and it soared through my living room, as if on its way somewhere. Yes it was mostly clear and transparent, but I could make out a 'membrane' and some slightly not-so transparent colors inside the orb.

Some people believe that cameras can capture these orbs. Goto Google and type in Ghost Orb and you will be able to see photos (although 99.9% of these will simply be dust refractions).

Quote from: WarpedRealityHow did they react?

Gobsmacked mostly.

haha, I had to look that word up.

Next time, I am def. going to do that. Usually in lucid dreams I just float around and try to move things around with my mind.

I thought Focus 15 was timelessness. Anyways, well if it is Franks F4oC (which I believe corresponds to Focus 27+), then what is the feeling/experience of no time?

Although I have only made it to Focus12, I have a quick question about Focus 15: how do you expierence the reality of no time? Do you just not focus on time while in this level, or is time really an objective element of our physical world that disappears in subjective environments?

I am really interested in hearing your expirence with this particular attribute of different realities because I have a strong fear (probably out of ignorance) about eternity and the infinite.

Quote from: the voice of silenceHey Ap Friends,

what abour your stats, numbers,validations.. please share I am interested in hearing about you!

Tvos

Have you found a correlation between physical exercises (such as weight training or cardio) and the ability/clarity of projections?

Astral guides are summoned by a process known as Non-Verbal Communication.

From the post:

QuoteHelpers are summoned by a process known as Non-Verbal Communication. It's just a way of communicating between minds, thought-form to thought-form, rather than verbalising your thought forms.

So when a helper or another entity communicates to us via thought, how do we know they actually are? Do we actually hear it in our heads, or is there ambiguity because we can only sense what they might be saying?

If someone speaks to me by mouth, I know they are speaking to me. If someone communicates by thought in the AP, will I know they are speaking to me (or does it take intuition)?

Quote from: SelskiI also think I'm progressing.  I remember when I first started having regular lucid dreams, I'd only be interested in telling whoever was in my dream that I was dreaming and enjoyed watching their reaction.

How did they react?

anyways, in my first OBE I woke up and felt like something was attached to my penis.

Um, what? Never heard that before

Quote from: StookieI have a co-worker who experiences sleep paralysis when she's stressed out. She says she'll be lying in bed for what seems like an hour and can look around with her eyes, but not move anything else. The last time it happened she said it sounded like someone was running around her house breaking stuff, but when she could finally get up, everything was normal. She's an old-fashioned kind of person, so it's hard for me to drop the OBE relation on her.

Wow I had the same thing happen to me. I had sleep paralysis upon waking, and I heard someone running up my stairs. They entered my room and approached me....then the paralysis ceased and I didn't sense anything anymore.

Has anyone had experience with Reiki as a physical healing aide? Does it work and how effective is it really (honestly)

Quote from: LeylaHi.

Did you know that our name backward gives "Halyal." Halal, or Halaal means that which is lawful and consecrated by Allah.

Does the religion of Islam leave room for spirituality involving astral projections, infinite planes of existence, etc? Or is it stringent and denounce it as dark arts (much like Christianity)?

Well, I've lucid dreams where i wasn't vibrating: I was just bumming around and attempting to manipulate my environment. However, in all lucid dreams, I have had the same hazy/clouded mind that accompanies all dreams.

From what you are saying, I will have the same hazy/clouded mind when I project but with more consciousness!? It seems very difficult to tell lucid dreams from AP...but if I AP, wouldn't the telling sign be that I am floating above my sleeping body?

So for the last few nights, I have been practicing reaching and maintaining Focus 10. Since I have been very successful (I can get to Focus 10 now in 5-10 minutes) I decided to try to AP last night.

Now I was skeptical about the whole thing to begin with: vibrating in my bed while I am climbing a non-existent rope?   So I began as normal and reached Focus 10 by only focusing on the API and then eventually at the darkness in my eyelids (which would usually erupt into swirls of blue....its always blue).

When I felt it was right, I began to climb that damn rope. Up and up I went, I actually started to feel surges in my legs. Weird I thought, so I pictured myself in my childhood backyard: this caused my heart chakra (or whatever it is) to literally pound the excrement out of my ribcage. While my "heart" was pounding bloody murder, I got strong vibrations in my head. So I went back to climbing the rope and I felt myself lift ever so slightly out of my body.

Oh, and I could hear a strong but consistent wind which I am positive was part of the AP. So yeah, this was amazing, just like all of you had said would happen.

I eventually tried in the morning but ended up having a lucid dream about myself APing and the whole dream I was violently vibrating as I floated about (weird huh).

So thanks for the advice and support of these forums, but my question is: A lucid dream still has that haze that clouds the mind while you are in it, but does a successful AP/OBE have the same haze? Or is a clear minded and obvious experience? How do you tell the two apart if our consciousness experiences them similarly?

Quote from: lo_ri_derToday I was sitting around at my girlfriends house, sitting on the couch I was in the middle of conversation when above me, more diagonally right and left, I see many little bright pieces of light. It looked like confetti made out of bright light, This lasted for maybe 7-10 seconds. I moved my eyes closer to focus on them, but when I tried they disappeared. This was really crazy, nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I felt almost as if I was on a drugs, but I wasn't. I was wondering if anyone had some insight on this. Should I see a doctor? This was one of the strangest things to ever happen to me. It was completely random, at no specific time, I didn't even feel in a relaxed state when it happened. What is going on?

You saw many of them? I see little bright pieces of light out of the corner of my eye too. They are usually a vivid blue (rarely white) but I only see one at a time. I did however see a larger blob of blue mist at one point but usually it is these tiny flecks of light.

I went to the optometrist and they checked for a detached retina. It's very important that you go and get this checked out. A detached retina has symptoms of unexplainable lights and it could lead to being blind. My optometrist could not find anything wrong with my eyes, so I went to another and they also said my eyes were ok. Guess I am seeing the real deal.

Quote from: SpeaKI've had the sparkles too, but I don't think they are related to any spiritual stuff. (at least in my case) I had just ran alot, and gotten swetty etc. when I started to see these bright thingies moving in random directions in my vision. This was before I had hardly had any thought on spiritual things etc.

Yeah, that's from physical exertion. When I lift my max, I'll get that sometimes.
