The only verification experiment i know about is a man who projected to another town and knocked over a box that was placed purposefully for the experiment with people watching it. This man not only claimed he could astral project but also had some kind of psychic power as well i guess =). That was a success but i don't know how many other experiments have been successful.

"I dont know if its possible to view the physical world exactly how it is from the astral worlds.  Some people say it is, others say it isnt."

From my experience i can say it is =). It is not always possible, it takes quite a bit of energy to maintain a projection conciously and view the physical world. If you don't have enough energy or if you cannot control your mind from slipping into a dreamworld then the experience will become distorted from reality in some way and accurately viewing the physical world would become impossible until control is regained or until you give yourself a break to get the energy you need back.
I used meditation to help me maintain control and gain more energy so i could project properly for longer. If you want to have what i call a "proper projection" i suggest regular meditation and work on your chakras to help train up your astral body.

My goal is to be able to project whenever i want and for as long as i want, at the time being i still fail from time to time and projections sometimes become distorted. But when i reach my goal, i intend to try and proove it to as many people as i can, or at least until the skeptics tinkle me off so much i just fly off in a huff =P.
however i remained skeptical until i had my first experience, so it seems no matter what people tell you or show you, the best way to eliminate doubt absolutely is to do it yourself! For all those hunting for proof, you'll find it in your self =P good luck and happy hunting! woo!

part of me will be glad that nothings happened...

another part of me will be disappointed, 2012 sounds like a rather impressive and interesting event whether it will be good or bad. It would be a shame if something so spectacular didn't come to pass...i like change, and a change that big would definitely make life a lot more interesting.

I have astral projected many times, sometimes when i am concious and awake, sometimes when i am asleep. I first stumbled upon astral projection whilst looking up the other planes of existence. Astral projection caught my interest because it sounded like an experience a friend of mine had been through. After talking to my friend about it we decided to start learning how to astral project. At the beginning i always had a little doubt in my mind that it wasn't possible or that the astral did not exist. A few months had passed and my friend told me excitedly that he had done it! i told him my doubts and he reassured me and urged me to continue trying. I doubled my efforts and about a month after the following occured:

After i had failed an attempt to project conciously i went to bed and fell asleep. Next thing i knew i was outside my body and my friend was standing in front of me grinning. He said:
"you've been floating there for ages like you were in a trance or something..."
I replied: "is this a dream?"
he said "does it feel like one to you? it sure doesn't for me!" (trust me when u AP whilst asleep, you know when it's not a dream! u just feel it (=)
My friend then flew up through the roof and in my shock and amazement i returned to my body and woke up. It felt like something had pulled me back. After researching into this i concluded that i was still sensitive to the astral plane and my sudden reaction caused the cord to pull my astral body back into my physical body as an automatic defence which would usually happen if the experience became frightening and risked becoming traumatic to a person who was not ready to project.

The next morning i met up with my friend but did not ask him about what had happened, just in case it was a dream. I wanted him to mention it so that i knew it was real! and he did! the first thing he said to me when i saw him was:
"where did u go last night i thought u would have followed me outside!?"
yet again i was shocked! i explained to him why i returned to my body and he told me it didnt matter anyway he didn't last much longer things started getting blurry and then he didn't remember anything after. We concluded that this was also because he wasn't used to the astral plane and he couldn't maintain the projection for very long in the early stages.

I've read a lot about people struggling for their first proper projection and i thought i would tell this story because it proved to me a lot of amazing things about the astral plane.
1. IT EXISTS! WOW
2. IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET THERE! WOOO
3. YOU CAN MEET OTHERS THERE! =0

when you get there you will understand, and you'll want to keep going back =) it's a whole new world opening up for you and also helps in the ability to lucid dream, and to take control of your dreams making anything possible =).
so if you haven't done it yet, don't give up! it's worth the time and effort! and if anyone wants tips or has any questions or problems i'll do my best to help out!! =)

once when i was drunk i was on my long walk home and stopped on a nearby hill to take a break. I started meditating and the affect the drink had on me totally lifted. I have only managed to do that once though but other times doing anything with energy after consuming alcohol has never had any specifically bad results it remains much the same for me.

3588897 wrote a few of the things i would of typed myself but i was a little short on time at the time so i just sighed. I personally agree with him/her but of course we're all entitled to what we believe.

it was a nice read very interesting. The story was lucky to be told, I would of enjoyed being the one to write it myself.

seems to me your ready to fully ap. What is your method for shifting your conciousness?

when trying to ap, don't let any sensations distract you or break your focus. Remember to stay focused on the one thing you are trying to do and don't let yourself get to excited or distracted over what you are currently experiencing.

haha well i'm 17 and have been astral projecting for quite a long time now. I used to be quite spiritual and deep. One day while searching for good stuff to read i came across all sorts of interesting articles including some on astral projection so i gave them a lookover and starting trying to project. I didn't get my first successful projection for a few months but after my first short experience i improvised my techniques to give me a stable method of projection.

I have managed to teach a couple of friends of mine and somebody who contacted me from australia over msn how to ap. I would be glad to help out anyone who is having trouble with their astral projection or any questions they may have.

That is the most absurd and theory i have ever heard... Man, why the hell would the "great intellect (pff)" want love? How the hell would he know what love is? Do you even know how isolation feels? Lets just not talk about the fact he didn't even met a person ever in his life before... God himself is a dumb theory to begin with. Nvm i'm not adding anything to this thread, I got better things to do... jesus bonking christ man...

I have to agree with Sharpe concerning this theory. I dont buy this for one second. My usual open mind has bin snapped shut to this idea. Peace out.

hmmm not sure i can agree with the "we aren't important" part, but the rest is understandable enough.

When I am astral projecting, every now and then i will feel an immense fear and fall into a nightmare of some sort. This was very scary and aggravating but last night i had a breakthrough. As i flew out of my house, happy that i was once again successfully in the astral, that immense fear came over me once again and my mind started playing tricks on me. All of a sudden I felt amazing courage and i said to myself NO! and all the fear and mind tricks faded away. I was so happy i finally threw away this annoying fear and I have no idea why i couldn't do it before.

It's great to share amazing experiences and breakthroughs like this, it makes me feel like i'm on top of the world. Anyone have any thoughts on this which might give me an explanation on how this happened or has anyone had this sort of thing happen to them before?

because i think the ultimate meaning of life is to reach this level of conciousness, only once this has been achieved can you just stop existing if that is your choice. We are bound to this world until we can break free from it either through ascention or death, but only with ascention have we proven that we have outgrown the physical world entirely and therefore have the choice of how we wish to exist.

your next question was what powers or abilities would you gain. With ascention and enlightenment comes the ultimate understanding and knowledge of everything around you. Also your mind will no longer interfere with your actions or with anything that the mind first thought as impossible. What you could do is only limited by your imagination or the right energies needed to complete certain tasks. All it would take is time and training.

So many different opinions on this. It points to the truth that life is what we make it and we all have our own meaning for it.

first off. People may not take to our opinions with much grace but when they put forth their opposing opinion we react back in the same way. We say it isn't fair because they are not respecting our beliefs and some of us moan when we read what they have to say on these topics. We each have our views and opinions maybe we should take note and continue with what we believe instead of either getting negative or being hurt by others responses.

secondly, i like this dark chakra lad. I once had the clever idea of suggesting the dragonball Z stuff could be attainable, and of course my account on the website i posted was deleted and i could no longer post there. You say it would require enourmous energies, and where and how could a being attain such powers?

I believe that it is possible for our souls to ascend to planes higher then the astral such as the buddich or atmic planes and i believe that the state of enlightenment attained mixed with the incredible energies that exist in these planes, it would be possible for a person to do extraordinairy things. Maybe not on the scale of Goku as we would only have one lifetime to develop our abilities. But miracles such as flight or the ability to knock things around a bit could be attained, as in a state of complete enlightenment a person would understand and effectively have the potential to control their surroundings. Now here comes the extreme theory part.

What if a being had the knowledge and power to create a time bubble in an astral pool that he or she created. He could train his soul and attain higher and higher levels inside this bubble and only an hour or so would have passed in real time. All of this i believe could be done just nobody has the dedication or potential ability to do so...yet.... moo ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

thats my thoughts on the whole dbz powers thing, pretty crazy if you don't believe it yourself but pretty logical if you think about it.

"Here is an example of a hypercube."

"I think maybe your putting the 4th up on a pedistool."

The first is obviously posted by a fan of Cube 2 :P and the second is obviously into the fourty year old virgin...unless i just watch to many films and see quotes in any conversation..never mind sorry for getting off topic. I like the little image of the "hypercube" by the way i could stare at that thing for hours.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / breakup
September 25, 2006, 17:47:36
i recently broke up with someone very very close to me. She was like the only real attachment I had and i felt i could stick with that and live happily ever after. Now things have been all messed up i can't focus anymore. I feel an empty hole inside and I feel totally lost. Usually when i have a problem i meditate and I quickly see things in a better light and sort out my problem, but not this time. I basically meditated all day but it just wouldn't leave me. I feel totalli destroyed an angry at myself. This is the first time spirituality has failed to help me and i just don't know what to do. I don't know if i should post this in this particular section but i just had to type it somewhere. Any suggestions on what i can do???

well when i felt that sudden nothingness...it feels like even nature itself has silenced and nothing seems quite so real. Somone else told me it means the coming of a powerful presence. Maybe it's the effect when a powerful being enters the astral or something. It doesn't happen to me that often though. Maybe your highly attuned to that sort of thing so you feel it more often

When you begin to ascend to a higher plane first you see a small spot of light, your meant to focus on that light and then you will notice it getting bigger. As this happens you get most of the sensations you do when you begin to astral project and you will feel your breath fading away from you. When the light consumes you, you ascend to the higher plane. During this time your physical body can not breathe as you are fading from the physical plane onto a totally different plane and your soul is temporarily disconnected from your body. After the ascention is complete though your body resumes breathing. For this tunnel of light to appear though it is said you need perfectly active and balanced chakras and you must be focusing on the connection you have with the higher plane through the chakra on the top of your head. Instead of focusing however you spoke to your guardian angel who resides in that plane therefore giving you the connection you needed to begin ascending. Pherhaps.

This is what i know as truth but i don't know if anyone else would agree with me. either way it would explain your experience slightly.

Whenever i say a word a few times, in the end the word loses all meaning to me. If i look at something or someone else in the end i see them in a totally different way which makes them seem unfamiliar to me and I wonder how I never see things this way all the time. Try what you did in the mirror and see how it feels. Very odd in my experience.

Whenever i look at my hands it makes me think how my body is just a biological machine which needs fuel like every other man made machine and how our brain is just the computer that runs the machine. Knowing that makes me kind of feel limited when I think about it though, knowing i'm sitting in a machine.

That happened to me once. Actually it was exactly the same sensations that you are describing. I called it a "level-up" because everything about me got better then usual and it was like I was becoming a more evolved person as I didn't need as much food or sleep and my muscles were growing from the twitching and pricking pains. I don't think I did anything to special for it to happen it just randomly kicked off, but I liked it all the same. If you ever figure out what it is be sure to let me know because i've always been curious of it's reason.

You had an enlightenment! lol :)

If that is the case then it helps me understand how ultimate enlightenment is beyond comprehension. I find it hard enough to explain what I felt from just that little bit of knowledge. Reaching true enlightenment would be absolutely perfect when it finally happens to me...well i don't know what i would do it'd just be to amazing!
