Are they just two terms for the same thing, or is there a difference??

I had kind of given up on having anymore OBE's since they've just stopped completely for whatever reason. Until this morning! It was a total surprise. Anyways, it started right after I woke up from a dream. (at 4 a.m.) I was just laying there in bed, and still kind of in a dream state, although I knew I was awake. I thought my physical eyes were open because everything was really crystal clear. (which was encouraging since everytime before it was completely dark) I saw a hand reach down from above and offer to help me "up". It was great, because I was able to skip all the "mumbo jumbo" with the vibrations, and trying to roll out and all of that stuff. The hand just pulled me right out. It felt totally natural at the time, but today I'm like, "what the heck was that??" So that's a question for you all- do you know what that was? A spirit guide? My imagination? Has this happened to anyone else before?

Back to my story. So, when I came out it was different that it was before. Usually, I'm upright, but this time I was still prone-in the same position as my physical body, just a foot to the right. I kept trying to float up, but felt really heavy, and couldn't move except just to the right. The cool thing was, I was seeing everything really clearly. I kept trying to look over and see my body, but for some reason I was unable to control my movement completely. I reached over with my left arm to where my body would be, and it felt like I was dipping my hand into really warm bathwater!! I did this a few times, enjoying the sensation. It felt like a buzzing when I would reach over. I coudn't hear it, I just sensed a buzzing. Any idea what this was all about??? What was the warm thing I was feeling?  I felt completely eleated- almost high after I returned to my body. It was crazy. I just felt so extremely happy. I got up immediately and wrote everything down so I could remember the details.  One more thing to note- I saw this dark blob in front of me, over by the wall. I don't know if this was a being- maybe the thing that helped me out. It didn't feel like a threat. I don't know, maybe it was just a portion of my vision which wasn't clear.

I was trying to see my physical body while out, but for whatever reason was having problems directing my vision towards my body. At one point, I looked down and saw my legs (astral ones) and they disappeared! It's like they were made of liquid. For a split second, there was like a white outline of my legs before they completely went away. Was this just my mind attempting to create what it thought I should see???

If anyone has any insight as to what any of this was-1. Why my legs looked liquid 2. What the hand was that helped me out of my body 3. Why it felt warm near my body  PLEASE share!!! Thanks,

-Lindsay

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Past Life Dream?

Your story was very interesting. I had the same question when I had a dream similar to this.

Like you, I had never had a dream where I was anyone but myself- until a few weeks ago. I was a female, early 20's, tall and thin with blonde hair. I lived on a farmhouse with a few other people who shared the house. (In my dream I was lucid, so it was kind of weird because I was controlling what I was doing) I was newly married, and was up in my room wondering where my husband was. I came back downstairs, and started reading the paper at the kitchen table. I saw the date of the newspaper, and it was sometime in the 1940's. The headline had to do something about the war going on. In my dream, all of the sudden I was overcome by sadness. I realized that my husband would not be coming home from war. Somehow I just knew. (he had been drafted I think) When I woke up, I still felt this overwhelming sense of sadness. It just felt so real.

I've read that our spirits remember our past lives. They are just so buried in our sub-conscious that we cannot access them through our regular memory. This is why some people suffer from unexplainable fears and phobias. It's their spirit remembering something from a past life. I think maybe we can learn what our past lives are through hypnosis, or perhaps dreams...anyways, I've always suffered from this horrible fear of losing my husband. I wonder if it is because in my life as the girl in the world war II era, I lost my husband in the war.

Anyways, thought I'd share my story. I'm not sure if I believe in reincarnation, but the dreams are pretty interesting!

The first time it happened to me, I was feeling the same way as you. Really excited to tell someone, and also questioning "was it for real?" at the same time. The vibrations you felt were definite indications that you were close to projecting. It sounds like you partially did, with your arm. Next time, just try and relax- one thing that helped me, is exhale when you feel the vibrations. It seems like as soon as exhale, it pops me right out. Good luck with everything! Let me know if you want me to share some stories with you.

Whoever told you that doesn't know what they're talking about. I've been on wellbutrin for 7 years and have no problem at all projecting. Good luck!
