Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Music
February 10, 2003, 10:05:46
My favorite techno has to be Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and I also really like VNV nation which is sort of industrial... you kinda have to get used to the guys voice but after you do it's really cool. Techno has many climaxes (for lack of a better word) and that's usually when i get the energy sensations throughout my back and spine. I'll have to find a specific song and post it and you guys can let me know if you get a similar feeling or if it varies person to person.

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Music

I was just at my girlfriends show choir competition (singing and dancing show choirs from high school) and I am now noticing more than ever the tingling sensations i get throughout my back and head. Tool has a song on lateralus called Parabol and then it goes into Parabola, that switch (and abstractness of those songs) sends chills as well. I really wonder if these chills have anything to do with your energy body/chakras? sort of like when i first fell in love. i had this complete energy/lightheadedness/feeling of not really being there. It's really hard to explain in words but I would like to know if everyone has these feelings when they listen to certain music and what they think the cause is???

Personally (this is completely just my opinion) I feel that anyone who posesses these abilities and uses them on a TV show? to make money? I'm not buying it... I think if anyone really had these abilities, it would be a sacred thing for them and they would not try and benifit financially from them.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / alex grey

yeah alex grey is the stuff that dreams are made of (dont take the literal meaning of that). his artwork toured with TOOL and i saw them twice with his banners hanging at the end and his painting "one" in the backdrop. he also produced the new video for TOOL parabol/parabola. i would be super interested in going to the temple of the sacred mirrors that he is supposedly creating.

Greytraveller,
you seem to know a lot about this subject and actually feel the same why that I do... that something major is going to happen within the next few years or so.
like you said our present era in history is unusually "heavy" with paranormal omens and religious signs i totally agree with that and if you think about it there are also other factors that may have something to do with paranormal activity such as the amount of depression that haunts our world (especially the US) who's to say that this isnt due to something "preparing" us and sorting the strong from the weak. testing us.
I am actually a Christian but i am so open minded that most christians would say i dont deserve to be a christian. anyways, even if you look at the bible (revalations) it discusses war in the middle east... if you read nostradamus his prophecies seem to become fact. it's almost scary to think about the possibilities of direction that this world is going.
being able to consciously project (my goal) even the journey to that has provided me with physical evidence that there must be life beyond this. just thinking about it sends chills down my spine of a spritual nature.

you also mentioned sleep paralysis and people seeing negative entities... this happened to me all the time as a child and i was terrified. when you talk about battling entities (i'm assuming you can consciously project quite often?) explain more about that, what do they look like how do you battle?

Squeek

      - the reason i know i've had one is because i'll actually be in my real time body which will be floating around either my physical body or actually in other locations (see my other post). anyways, it's usually only for a short period of time but i can definitely tell it's not a dream because i'm able to do conscious things like move my Real time arm and i can consciously say where i want to "float" to. oh and i have never actually had a projection when i TRIED to have one... i get the sensations... (rapid heart beat) (vibrations to an extent) but i'm not able to make the split..

Person...

The reason i added this post is because i thought it was awkward that i was lying on my stomach and had a spontaneous projection because up until then i thought that they only occured (projections in general) with your chest facing up. that's interesting what you said about you sleeping with your feet on the other end and then waking up in a normal position. a little confusing though, are you saying that when you woke up you woke up in your real time body as it was coming back to your physical body, or am i way off?

Squeek, if you're referring to spontaneous oobe's....

I used to have them all the time as a child but just thought they were nightmares and I feared sleeping on my back... I went through a period of time in early high school that I drank a lot and smoked pot and I dont ever recall the spontaneous projections during that time.. now i'm in college and i went straight edge and they are coming back (the projections) (mainly when i'm at home not in the dorm with my roommate there). HOpe that answered your question.

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Music

I totally agree with you about how important music can be... i also agree that there is a large spiritual feeling that i get when i listen to various songs. Mainly songs that either have lyrics that really mean something to me or just a very emotional point in the song... if you havent heard of Bright Eyes... you should check them out, a few of their songs do it for me... also Tool surprisingly really gives me a great feeling. It's weird because it's usually on the top of my head sort of tingling (wonder if it's my crown chakra). Anyways, i have almost 10 Gigs of music on my computer and about 250 cds so yeah music really has an impact on me.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Is this right?
February 01, 2003, 11:53:19
I have the same problem. Whenever I get those sensations, my mind isnt able to just stay calm and "go with it". So I would have to agree that that's a major problem and I would hope someone has a good technique to keep the mind calm and almost ignore the sensations and just go with it.

well I guess you're right but they all seem to be so short when they're spontaneous and I have such little control over that fact. I do realize that I'm partially conscious during the spontaneous obe but I have little control over how long I'm out/what I can do. I guess in time they will get better... by the way it seems just waiting for spontaneous obes seems to work better than trying to induce them because i dont have much luck with that [:(]

i agree furix, my vision when i was on my stomach was pretty good and i have had spontaneous projections while on my side and my vision is not quite as good.... when you have those spontaneous projections are you able to convert them to completely conscious projections?
#87
I guess my main wish would be that I could actually experience a projection from start to finish and not end up in my bedroom at home right in the middle of the projection... it would then be so much more clear to me what is going on.

I will take your advice that's for sure... one thing that I'm grateful for is that since I experienced so much sleep paralysis and projection symptoms, I am now able to know exactly what they feel like. (i usually get them spontaneously) but now I'm actually able to say "hey i think i can try and project". Although i have had little success with it as of now, I plan on working with those feelings and hopefully shift consciousness. Thanks again Greytraveller.

Thanks GreyTraveller.... one question though

where you said:
So it is possible that a dream (and especially a dream about projection/OBE) actually Is an unconscious projection/OBE that is misinterpretated by the mind/brain as a dream.. In that case it would be possible to project from that dream (after the dream became a lucid dream by becoming aware while still in the dream).

(sorry i'm new to this and am not sure how to use the "quote" feature)

anyways, where you say that the dream is actually an unconscious projection/OBE, that was misinterpreted by the mind... how would that be a dream at all? Well, if it was misinterpreted by the mind and I realized that while in the middle of it, is it possible for me to totally switch in the middle of the unconscious projection to make it conscious? i may be confusing... i'm just trying to understand this more.

Hi, just a personal comment about the use of drugs and ap.... when i was younger i would always be terrified of sleep paralysis and also vibrations and feelings of projection... of course then i didnt know what they were. Anyways, from the time i was a freshman in high school to my junior year... I smoked a lot of weed, drank occasionally, and even tried E. all of the feelings i got as a child, lucid dreaming/sleep paralysis etc... completely stopped. \ Well my senior year I realized how pointless those things were and I quit everything. I'm now a sophomore and I read a lot about ap and whatnot and my dreams now are usually vivid/lucid and i'm currently working to consciously project. I dont really know if this had anything to do with the drugs/alcohol but i can say that I didnt experience anything throughout that 3 year period.

Thanks Chris for all of the insight. I too one day hope to have that sense of clarity with my dreams, ap and anything else i encounter. I then hope life may seem more clear to me? who knows?

one more thing that I remember from the lucid dream or whatever was that my left eye wouldnt open so i actually took my right hand which was transparent if i remember correctly and opened my left eye. is it actually possible for a Real Time Eye to be shut like that hahah? seriously maybe that would help me determine what this was. Thanks again.

one more thing to add to that... in the dream or whatever it was... i remember actually being pulled back into my body and strong sensations then but my body was in my bedroom back at home (or so i think) and i am in college in my dorm room. Any thoughts on this either?

I could swear I read towards the beginging of ad that if you were experiencing those symptoms that you were most likely successful in projecting but you just failed to make the mind split. I could be wrong but I know those feelings i get are extremely strong at times yet I'm still in the physical.

I have too experienced seeing through closed eyes a couple times. haha i also saw very clear once and I was sure my eyes were open until i actually opened them and realized they werent.
