Hmm.. not quite sure about this one.  Not trying to be a jerk or anything.  What is that that is spinning exactly? What is it balanced on? What is underneath what it's balanced on?  Maybe if you made it more clear that nothing was attached to said object.

I couldn't see to the sides of the box, why was there toothpaste randomly on the box? lol.  I don't know, I'm not saying you didn't, I just don't know.

Oh, and what did that sign say? I couldn't read it.

I agree that we don't need them, but that doesn't mean I won't use them.  I only do it rarely though, like 3-4 times a year.

And I only laugh and feel happy, if I don't eat that much.  I've had way way more than that happen, you must not have really tripped.  Alochol can make you laugh and feel happy, tripping is nothing like that.

A lot of things over time.  I had lucid dreams as a child, and have always been interested in dreams.  So I did some research on the different states of sleep.  Some people I've known througout life have told me stories about OBEs they've had (not conciously), they just happened.  Listening to TOOL (my favorite band by the way [:D]).  And, last but not least, some experiences I've had on shrooms and LSD.

From there my interest was piqued and I picked up Journeys out of the body and a book on meditation first.  Then I read some Alex Grey and Robert Bruce.

We went way off topic, but I agree with you about the Military holy reality, but I didn't know you thought that way too.  The government is too corrupt, and besides that, I don't want to kill anyone.. bad karma.

Thanks for the info on salvia Kerrblur.

What is a fundie xian?

Interesting story Kristina, sounds like you're making good progress.  And, don't worry about Negs, I think worrying about them is exactly what makes you encounter them, or create them for that matter.

Where can I get salvia?  And, holy reality, sounds like a sh*tty situation.  I hate to say it with what's going on, but maybe you should join the Navy for the shorest amount of time possible.

You'll be away from your parents and you'll get some money for school, and you'll be able to live on your own 'cause the Navy pays for it.  My ex-girlfriend joined the Navy because she wanted to get away from her parents.

Other than that, have you told your parents these things?  That they are making you depressed to the point of having suicidal thoughts.  That you're an adult, that you don't appreciate their prying.  I'm sorry, I don't know the whole situation.  I'm not a violent guy, but I'd probably have to beat my dad.

Sounds cool, he just needs to bring it over to the USA :).

Read the Treatise on OBE on the main page, filled with good information and techniques.

Hello LifeOrange, interesting experience, this is similar to what happened to me about a month ago.  The scenery wasn't exactly right when I went through the ceiling, I think that I did not have enough energy, or I wasn't as focused/concious as I should have been.

Welcome to the boards moontingle.  I've never been to a sacred site, have you?  If so, where?  What was it like?

Perhaps I should rephrase, I cannot afford $1,300, and am a little disappointed that they charge that much.

Yeah, 1,000 dollars is definately not worth it to me.  I will do it on my own time [^].

I use breath awareness, and also practice the NEW system from Robert Bruce's book.

Welcome to Dreams! / death in dreams
November 25, 2003, 13:36:17
All of my experiences with death are like Cainam's, no matter what happens I just keep going, maybe I just don't give up, I dont know.  But, I've been shot many times in the chest in dreams, and I just keep running.

Perhaps these are just real life anxieties playing themselves out in violent fashion in dreams.

No problem Nick.  I've read Journey's Out of the Body, it was the first book on the topic of OBEs that I ever read, so it sorta jump started me on my path.

Thanks Jeff.  Well, it seems I'm lucky.  The Edgar Cayce Foundation is right here in my city, and it seems the Monroe Institute is in Virginia, need to look up where Faber is though.

Maybe fate brought me here, or maybe my ego just likes to speculate [;)].

Welcome to Dreams! / Flying in a Lucid dream
November 25, 2003, 08:26:59
I had my first OBE a few weeks ago, and although I lost sight after about 10 seconds I was flying very easily.

I could dart in any direction and stop on a dime.  I wasn't flying like superman, just darting which ever way, doing loops and spinning around.  This didn't last too long, and everything after about 20 seconds gets fuzzy in my memory.

Welcome to Dreams! / Daily dreams
November 25, 2003, 08:17:07
I wasn't sure if I should start a new post or not, but I figured this one is already here, might as well use it.

Well, I had a very disturbing dream last night, I'm getting a little tired of these demented dreams as they do not match my personality or way I think in general.

Some guy was trying to rape my mom, so of course I attack him.  No matter what I did, this guy would not stop coming after me, even after I cut one of his arms off.  By the end of it, he was just a head, torso, one arm, and his head was turned all the way around at that.  Not cool....

Maybe this is because I watched Gothika this weekend (awesome movie by the way).

Thanks for the feedback Rodentmouse, I know what you're saying.  The first time I had the feeling of being totally saturated with love was on shrooms, and it was with my girlfriend, I have since felt that way without them, I don't think you could possibly feel better than that.

For me, I think that in the span of conciousness, we (humans) are near the bottom, I wish to get passed this, to higher (eventually, I love life now too) levels of conciousness that surpass the need for a physical body to learn lessons, to end the suffering of lower levels of conciousness... basically to ascend, to ride up the infinite spiral or whatever it is that happens.[;)]

I've only had one concious exit OBE, that was recently and it was exhilerating, but my life changing experience came while on shrooms (which many would argue with me I think) a year or so ago.  For awhile I felt as if I were my higher self and I was seeing a lot of complex imagery with spirals and fractals and such, and I had a lot of other experiences, too much to talk about.  Basically at this point, I knew I had a soul, I knew i trandscended time and space, etc.  But now I'm going au natural.

In my experience, it kills my energy and I can't focus.  Using it daily kills my motivation to do anything constructive, it also supresses my dreams.  I went about three years without remembering one dream because of the use of pot.

Oh, and if weed is classified as a hallucinogen, it shouldn't be.  I've seen anything.  If you want a spiritual experience off of drugs try shrooms [;)].  Although I agree with James S, you are most likely going to scare the sh*t out of yourself (on shrooms/LSD), without prior experience.  Even then, it may be detrimental to overall development, I really don't know.

Also, It may just be my mind, but I think that the drug itself may have an entity (like peyote in Carlos Casteneda's books).  Whenever I broke myself of being a pot-head (wasn't easy), I get really whiny and negative, and I dream of smoking, etc...  I get the feeling that if weed is an entity, it's jealous and doesn't want you to leave it.

I'm not sure what that is... but it feels good.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / What is it about nature!
November 21, 2003, 10:18:34
I love nature myself, this post reminds me that I need to get away to nature this weekend.  I love the forrest, and I have ever since I can remember.  Just being in the woods makes me feel so good.
