Yeah, I agree with him. That's what I meant when I said let go of physical body awareness, but keep noticing in the blackness before your eyes.
I have also had the most success this way rather than trying to force myself out

Hi, did you actually feel a sensation when you say you felt a pulling from the outside?
Sometimes during my meditation sessions I get a strong feeling of someone or something pulling at my feet. It almost feels like someone is trying to pull me out of my body, but I don't actually think that's the case for me. I think it's just a strong energy flow or something

When this happens again I would say just keep going with it and try to totally let go of your physical body awareness.

I had 2 more conscious phase experiences this morning. I used Bedeekin's method of blowing on my hands for awareness and tried his elastic rubber band method of flying or moving.

1/25/13 9:40am OBE #32
RTZ, wake back to bed, SP, phase method

I woke up this morning around 8:30am due to my mom making noise in the kitchen and my dog barking. I put my ear plugs in and quickly rolled back over. I rolled over a few times to get relaxed and then finally rolled onto my back with the intention of having an OBE. Very shorty after I heard a noise in my head which sounded like that electric frying noise, but it only did one pulse and it wasn't very loud or disturbing. I felt the SP come on in my legs so I focused on it and let go of my physical and it easily came on my entire body. Now I knew I could separate.

I felt myself get light and lifting up out of my bed. I immediately started getting sight of my room and then I landed standing upright next to my bedroom door. I felt more in control than my previous obe's, but still needed some form of reality check. First I tried my way of saying, clarity now! but again I had trouble saying the words. I actually felt like I had a lot of phlegm in my throat and I spit it up and pushed it out of my mouth. So right away I looked at my hands, they were chubby and my fingers were stubby. My hands were changing size, but I focused on them anyway and I could see the lines and everything. Then I rubbed them together and blew on them. Now I was in control enough to leave my room.

I exited my room by opening to the door and going into the hallway. I turned around and quickly passed by my door looking into my room twice to see if I could see my body laying in the bed. My bed was empty and there were just sheets on it, no body. I went down the hall to the living room and turned left. My mom was in the kitchen standing by the sink and my dog was standing by the fridge. I went over to my dog and said Why are you barking so much? He didn't respond, but my mom agreed and told me to tell him to stop. That surprised me because I thought she didn't even notice me. I turned around and went to the sliding glass door that leads to the deck. It looked like it had just started snowing and it was coming down and there was a thin layer on the deck and the table outside. I decided not go outside this way and turned around and headed for downstairs.

As I was going downstairs I passed my Aunt at the top of the stairs. She asked me to get her a soda so I said okay and continued downstairs to the garage where the soda is kept. She said No and pointed and the box of soda by the front door. I was surprised the soda was there, but I continued to the garage and she got the soda herself. My garage was a little different than normal. It had 3 cars stored in it instead of 2 and there was a new mountain bike that my dad had just bought me. I was checking it out, but both the tires were flat. By now I really wasn't sure if I was obe or not. I decided to fly because that would be a good way to confirm it. I walked to the open garage door and saw that it was still snowing outside. I easily lifted off the ground and flew about 20 feet towards my backyard before I came crashing down under a tree. I was annoyed by this, but I remembered Bedeekin's method of moving in the NPMR which my interpretation of that was to imagine an invisible rubber band between me and my destination. I looked up and saw a tree branch. I focused on it and imaged I was getting closer to it. Immediately I felt myself being pulled to it and started moving. Since I was looking up so hard all of a sudden it got very bright. I realized my physical eyelids were opening and then I lost my focus and was back in body.

The second obe was very short so I won't explain a lot of detail, but I was back in body and I phased again easily to the NPMR. I wanted to try this method of moving again because it seemed to work so well. I didn't want to waste any time so immediately I floated up and through my ceiling, (I really felt myself pass through the wood this time) into my attic which looked normal, but was completely empty, and then kept going, but got disoriented and ended up back in body.

Thanks for reading

That's cool I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've experienced the bi-location noise. If a noise in the physical is loud enough for me to hear while obe I would think it would be loud enough to wake me up, but then again breathing isn't very loud (for me at least)

As far as the noises you heard that's interesting I'll have to stop and listen next time.
#80
Glad to see you were successful this morning!
Also glad to see you had success gaining better awareness by looking at your hands. I'm going to be using this technique a lot more now
Since we were just talking about this, what were some of the noises you heard?
#81
Thanks Lionheart that means alot.

Bedeekin that's an interesting way of moving. When I first started going to the NPMR I didn't know how to move. I would separate and be lying in my bed and it was very difficult to move, I ended up looking at my bedroom door and and trying to think I was moving towards it or it was coming closer to me. Once I figured out how to move on my own I haven't tried that since.

And also the only sounds I have really heard are bangs, music, or now my breathing once

And this morning upon waking up I tried doing the same thing and I just slightly heard that buzzing noise at one point, but it was quiet and as soon as I realized I was hearing it and focused on it it went away. Probably because I was getting too excited, but at least I know I was close
#82
Thanks for all the replies guys.

Bedeekin, I did find that looking at and rubbing my hands together did work! but I will have to try blowing on them as well next time if I'm having trouble haha
I will also try having more intent when saying "clarity now"

I think I just need to become more comfortable maneuvering and navigating through the NPMR with practice.

Also, I didn't think about the possibility of the breathing noise being my interpretation of another noise in the NPMR. I think that's because most of my experiences are pretty quiet once I'm out of body.
#83
Took me about 1 or 2 months of practicing and I had a deep desire to do it. I never meditated before and it was exciting and great!

This thread probably belongs in another section though since it's not an experience

Hey guys sorry this might be a long read, but I had this amazing experience this morning. It was my first time CONCIOUSLY phasing and holding my awareness through the entire process.

OBE # 31
8:05am wake back to bed, phase method, laying on back, loud buzzing, electric frying noise, RTZ, familiar location, familiar people, focused on breathing

I woke up around 6:45ish due to my dad making noise while getting ready for work which is normal for me. I got up to use the bathroom and then got back in bed. I was focusing on my breathing and basically just trying to fall back asleep. I rolled over about 4 times and couldn't fall back asleep, but by now I was pretty relaxed. I looked at the clock and it was 7:30. I said, "okay this is what I do, I practice this every day, I want to project." I rolled onto my back and continued focusing on my breathing and just noticing the blackness behind my closed eyelids. After some short amount of time I heard the familiar loud buzzing, screeching, electrical frying noise in my head. Up until now I never knew exactly what this noise was, but now I know I can phase when it comes. I've been experiencing this during sleep since before I knew what the nonphysical was. I felt my awareness change, I felt like I sunk into my bed, I actually got scared because I still wasn't 100% sure I was phasing or what this noise was, but the feelings accompanying it felt familiar. I easily switched back to the PMR and I felt myself rise and the noise subdued a bit. I was laying in blackness again and I knew I was safe so I relaxed and let the noise come on again. It did, and it starts out in pulses, loud electrical pulses in my head, and gets louder and stronger with each pulse and I usually make it stop before it gets too loud or annoying, but this time I let it go. It finally turned into a more solid screech rather than pulses and now I felt myself sink again. I knew I basically separated because the noise was gone and I knew the familiar feeling so I decided to use an exit technique.

I felt myself get light and floating upwards. I could barely see, but I knew I was out. I got a few glimpses of my ceiling and fan and then my floor. I landed on the floor in my room and I tried to get in control. I stood up and went to the door. My vision was white/grayish and hazy. I kept floating up and to the left unintentionally. I saw a few pictures on my wall that are right where I was in the PMR. I tried to say "clarity now!" but had trouble and couldn't say it. I decided to turn around and try and see my physical body in bed since I've never done this before and I wasn't sure how long the experience was going to last since I couldn't even get in control. As soon as I looked where my body would be on the bed, I was back in my body laying in blackness.

I laid completely still and didn't move. I let the noise come on again and felt the sinking feeling and I knew I could separate so I floated up and out. This time my vision was a little better I guess because I was just out, but I was still having a hard time controlling the expereince. I said "clarity now!" multiple times with very little success. For some reason my voice has not been working in the NPMR anymore. I used to say this phrase with great success all the time. I was able to open my door and leave my room. I remembered another way to focus my awareness which is to look at my hands. They looked real and I could see the lines and everything. I looked at them for a few moments and then rubbed them together. My awareness was increased a lot and now I was in control.

I went down the hall into my living room and turned left to go to the glass sliding door which leads to deck. It looked like it just snowed, the trees were covered in a fresh coat, and the ground was all white. I decided not to go outside so I turned around and asked for a guide. Again I had a lot of trouble talking so I just gave up on that. I looked at my hands again for a reminder of what I was doing and then I decided to go downstairs. As I was going to go downstairs I heard loud breathing and I stopped in my tracks and just observed it, I figured it was my physical body and I was sort of bi-located, but I had no other awareness of my body. I went into my mom's room and saw her laying asleep on the bed (which she was in the PMR) I flew around her room for a minute and then decided to leave so I went back upstairs into the living room. I exited my house easily by going through the glass front window. I had some doubts about being able to go through it as I was approaching it, but it didn't stop me and I had no problem going through.

Outside was the same as I had seen it earlier, it was white and covered in snow. Now that I was in my front yard all of a sudden I floated up really high and fast to about 500 feet above my house. I had trouble seeing since I was so high and everything was white. I was able to come back down to the ground. Now the ground was still white, but the trees were green and had leaves. I decided to fly down to the end of my street. I had difficulties flying and could only fly for a certain amount of time until I came crashing down in to the ground and then I would have to start over. This happens in every one of my experiences I guess I haven't learned how to stay up yet. But anyway, once I made it to the main street I wanted to try and fly to the store which is on the other side of town. I lifted off the ground and was looking up and I was headed straight towards the electrical wires. I got scared and had second thoughts of passing through the wires so my flight stopped and I came back down to the ground. I saw my neighbor up on a ladder working on the wires I almost just went through.

I figured since I couldn't fly there I would take a car. So I stood in the middle of the road and waited for a car to come. A truck came about 50mph around the turn and I stood there with my arms up and my hands out telling him to stop, but he flew right past me. I tried one more time and they also drove past me. I was kind of annoyed by this, but it probably wasn't a good idea anyway. I was still very aware, but it started getting a little more dream-like. Suddenly I was back in bed and woken up from the garage door closing because my dad left for work.

So this was a great experience for me the only questions I have are..

1. Why did I hear myself breathing? (bi-location?)
2. Why can't I talk anymore while obe? (maybe because most communication is done telepathically?)
3. Why do I suck at flying still?

Thanks for reading!

I tried this technique last night as I was going to bed around 12:30 - 1am. I didn't have any experiences at that time or any lucid dreams throughout the night, but this morning I woke up at 9:30am and rolled over to check the clock. Then I closed my eyes to go back to sleep. I didn't remember to try and do this technique or any technique at all, but I quickly and easily fell into SP and exited my body. I had a short OBE where I was in my house and then it faded and I was laying in blackness in my bed. This happened 2 more times in a row until I decided to stop and record the experiences.

So was it a coincidence that I used that technique last night? Maybe, I'm not sure, but I'll give it another shot for sure
#86
I feel like sometimes it can help me because once the jerk comes, it brings my awareness back to what I was supposed to be doing. Sometimes my mind will wander into sleep or a dream
#87
I get this a lot, I thought it was just me.. Sometimes they are severe and my whole body jerks or my arms or legs shoot up. Other times not as much.
I always thought it had to do with me starting to see imagery and my body reacting to them
#88
Growing up as a kid I always had an interest in ghosts and paranormal stuff, but never any experiences to believe it was real.
I grew up riding skateboards, playing paintball, being a basic punk kid (hasn't changed much lol)
It definitely has to be discovered individually and I'm glad I did

But a few years ago, if I knew I was going to be meditating twice a day I would have said you're crazy
#89
I have felt this before also, sometimes during the middle of the night
#90
I think during my first PERSONAL experience I heard a lot of rushing wind noises and people talking, then I was lying in my bed playing with my nonphysical arms and hands
#91
Great experience, I'll admit I'm pretty addicted my smart phone, but at least I know and admit it. I still appreciate the earth though. I don't think I could ever live in the city for this reason, though I do enjoy going every once in a while to visit

Yes you are. You are actually right there. now just passively observe all this and move on. Don't be surprised if you don't hear the screams and shouts next time. Because you have already experienced it. Just watch for the next strange thing to occur and keep notes on your progress.

Open yourself up totally with bravery! Allow what happens to happen. Pretty soon you can start creating an intent and join that scenario.

But for now, just get comfortable with what it takes to get to the doorway. There is no race, there will be alot of time to explore later.

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)
That is pretty useful information, thanks

That's pretty much the definition of meditation right there. Now you just have to continue this with daily practice. You will find your memory recall will become better. Just make sure you log our results immediately after you meditate/phase.

Your description is also the method known as Phasing. Meditation is not really any different. It's just Phasing is ALLOWING yourself to deepen into it. To lose all focus on your physical body and shift to the NPR.

Come to think of it, once again that sounds a lot like meditation!

I've never logged a meditation session before. Should I just write anything I hear or see? Sometimes I hear music but it's usually just a song that's stuck in my head and it's hard to get out
#94
I basically do the same thing and have about as good recall of the images as you. 20 minutes twice a day, but I usually use a mantra. But lately I haven't been using the mantra because I've been practicing with Robert Monroe's hemi sync gateway series on the side and now I'm using his techniques during my meditation instead (which is basically just relax, then resonant tuning, then saying ten which will immediately bring me into focus10. From there I usually just look at the blackness and see some moving colors which turn into random glimpses of images
#95
I don't think there is any reason to take extra caution, it's the same as any other forum
#96
Like I said they are pretty easily downloadable as a torrent ;) ...as much as I would love to support TMI I don't have 1500$ though
#97
It's Robert Monroe's hemi-sync gateway series where he uses binaural beats to guide you into different states of awareness. It is pretty expensive, but you can find it and download it online pretty easily
#98
I was watching one of Tom Campbell's videos on youtube recently and he says that you should practice meditation in many different places so after a while you you will be able to do it anywhere anytime no matter if there's noise or not. I always thought I needed complete silence to meditate, but since that is almost impossible I took the earplugs out and meditated while my parents were watching tv in the other room. If you focus enough and don't let the noise get to you, it will simply be background noise and you can do it.

And also I have been using Robert Monroe's gateway series again and it is helping me with my meditation and getting me into f10 much quicker

I haven't experienced anything that was not earth or human like in my experiences before, they might have been manifested from some fear you have

Hi simo,
Happy christmas.
I've recently experienced this

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/auditory_command-t37195.0.html;msg305365;topicseen#msg305365

I can now do this at will, its great.

Szaxx I have experienced this a number of times before I exit my body. It's happened to me in the morning when doing wake back to bed method. Usually when I fall back into SP I get a lot of auditory noise, sometimes just talking, but a few times I have heard songs that I know. Not particularly all the lyrics though so I'm able to create them myself, but it sounds perfect anyway and crystal clear. It is a beautiful thing when it happens!
