I plan to seal my home. As for the being who acts like an incubus: I agree that it has probably been feeding off of me and I have been rejecting it. This is hard for me to admit because I have grown addicted to Saul and enjoyed the company.

Hi dreamosis, a great book you might like to purchase is called "Sacred Space" by Denise Linn. Things such as smudge/incense (picked fresh and made yourself is more potent, especially if you learn to work with plant spirits), sound (bells, drums etc), ritual, prayer, Holy symbols/statues/paintings, feng shui, etc.
 One method I remember is using a small branch of a tree (not sure which kind) to sprinkle Holy Water (easily made yourself from water and salt) around the room. Make sure you ask the tree spirit for help before taking the branch and clearly state your intentions. Also perhaps a small offering (nuts, grain etc) as thanks for its help.

I've heard of some wiccans using a witches Broom to clear out old energy. Again, making the broom yourself after having learnt about gaining the help of tree spirits might be more potent.

Archnea, after reading some of your posts in the masturbation thread about incubus, my advice would be do something to get rid of these spirits. Please don't take this wrongly but you seem to be englamored by them, which is how they operate sometimes. If you allow them to stay there is the possibility that in the longterm your health may be affected and/or those living with you.

You also hint at that you know they are psychically attacking those who show you disrespect. You may feel that they are your "friends" for "defending" you but it sounds to me like they are using you.

If they are attacking your children then they aren't your friends. If you would like a real positive spirit as a guardian then I would suggest contacting the shaman I gave you the link to. Keep in mind though that some of the spirits you may have around you probably won't like that idea and might try to pursuade you against it.

This is basically what I was getting at. The belief (and it is a belief as far as I am concerned) that we all chose to allow ourselves to suffer various things just doesn't feel right to me. So you did the opposite of what you claim works in this thread. If you can't respond to someones criticisms (you call attacks) with this love energy then I have to say I have my doubts if you could do it with a demon that would be a whole lot nastier to handle.

It still amazes me that when I offer this help from real experience, people firstly put 'dirt' on the ideas then immediately try to tear me down too.  They could have at least given this new way a decent try out first before telling me it was bulls-plop.  But this is the way of the world these days, sadly.  Messengers still get killed and the messages ignored.

I think that your ideas might work in some cases. Such as with lost souls etc. If it works for you and you are able to help others through it then more power to your elbow. It wasn't your technique for healing I was criticising.

I think it's probably not as new as you believe it to be. Robert has commented on this idea of sending love and light to negs many times. In his own experience he has always (unless I am mistaken) claimed it didn't work.

Although I do believe he says negative energy can be transformed into positive, which is perhaps close to what you are saying.

It's great more people are becoming aware of how important it is to drop the VICTIM concept from our entire belief structures.

But some people actually are victims. If you're saying that some people use a "victim status" for sympathy etc then I agree. But that doesn't mean that we should tell those that really are victims that they can somehow stop being a victim just by imagining they aren't.

Regarding Sulphur. I dissolve Sulphur into a bath and bathe in it trying to emulate the old Roman Baths or those Sulphur springs I have seen in Temples in India. I definitely get some relief from this of negative energy.

Here are a couple of breathing-visualization-affirmation techniques i came up with recently and they work really well. Tried and tested. []

Basic:
While breathing in slowly through your nose, visualize the air you breathe in as pure brilliant sparkling white light that fills your whole body (deep breath).

While breathing slowly out through your mouth, visualize a murky color (whichever you choose) leaving your lungs and body and melting away into nothingness.

Try to keep the breathing rythm as natural as possible.

Add to this a mental (said silently within) affirmation such as:

In Breath: Love and Light Within.

Out Breathe: Negativity melts away.

Or:

In Breath: By the Father, Son and Holy Spirit(*note)

Out: Negativity melts away.

*note: The original Greek is Pneuma meaning 'breath' so you can use Holy Breath/Spirit/Ghost, whichever suits you best.

While doing the Trinity one i do two visualizations at once. The Light going in on the in breath, plus I do a mental awareness-hands cross from forehead to heart to shoulders while mentally saying "Father, Son and Holy Spirit" etc and actually breathing in the Holy Spirit/Breath.

It might also help if you imagine your body becoming weightless and more and more relaxed everytime you exhale. This sends me into mild trance.

Also, this can be used to neutralize negative emotions (i discovered these while being angry at a neg and finding my anger weakened me). If you meditate on the sayings "Cool headed" and "Hot headed" then assign a cool-calm feeling temperature to the inbreath and hot-angry one to the outbreath. This can then be used as part of the visualization technique so you are inhaling cool, calm energy and exhaling hot, angry(whatever) energy etc.

It shouldn't take long for this to calm things down. When it has I sometimes then revert to;

In breath: Light within.

Out breath: Light without.
(visualizing white light on both inhale and exhale)

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you or any additions or changes that may help.

The Mantras are sung though, and i find that singing the words somehow makes them more effective. Plus they do not mention "foes" or anything "hating" anything which i find offputting and more difficult to not concentrate on the attack (YMMV). It just doen't feel like a 100% positive chant/affirmation. In Buddhism, for instance, using the words "foe" and "hate" might be seen as a form of attachment to the "foe" and its "hate" whereas the idea is meant to be to detach completely from the attack.

Here's something i posted elswhere the other day. I've been having some Kundalini spikes recently, which is what the 40,000 volts comment is about. This is the first time i've ever caught something like this so i'm pretty pleased. [8D] I won't be forgetting this anytime soon.

I woke up last night in my Astral/Energy Body laying in bed
(If i could have been bothered to stand up i guess it would be called an OOBE) and could feel some kind of foreign energy on the right side of my lower back. So i lazily stretched out an Astral arm to see what it was and, although it tried to evade me, i managed to catch the little critter. It was a small blob of energy about the size of a golfball and was constantly changing shape and buzzing/vibrating kinda like a large blue-bottle fly might do when you catch it in your hand.

Then i wondered what to do with it. If i let it go it might start being pesky again (ever had a fly keep landing on your face while laying in bed? It gets terribly annoying if you let it). So the natural thought was to just eat it you see. So i lifted it up to my mouth, all the while it was buzzing around in my hand, and took a big bite on it and sucked on its energy. Now, that may sound vampire-like i guess, but i didn't need it's energy (having had about 40,000 volts go through my mind earlier in the day you see?) i just thought that if a dog bites me then i'm gonna bite back right?

So i sucked away the tiny bit of energy it had stolen until it finally just disappeared and i could get back to more important things on the Astral such as looking at a nice selection of swords etc.

I am having difficulty thinking of words to start this thread so i will write what comes and see if a discussion ensues that may shed more light on the subject. I will add more as it comes to me. I will start by listing a few things that i know about negs, some of which agrees with other sources such as RB's work.

Negs use various ways to attack, crack open, attach to, influence or possess humans. The most widely agreed-upon ones being fear, sex, guilt and trauma. These also (especially trauma) lead onto Core Images that negs use to dig deeper into the mind of their victims.

Surely it is no coincidence that child abuse regularly includes ALL of the above i have mentioned?

Fear: Fear of being killed by the rapist. Fear that the abuser will tell others saying s/he was enticed (which connects to guilt). In a religious setting, Fear of God, perhaps (also  connects with guilt). Fear of it happening again. There's probably a bigger list, add on thoughts of other examples if you think of any. (One child abuse victim has told me she was told at the time that if she told anyone, then no-one would love her anymore and she would be in a lot of trouble. She was 5 years old. It wasn't until she was in her mid 20's that she told anyone through fear of not being loved or blamed somehow.)

Sex: This is obvious. But the combination of sex and fear would seem to strengthen the effect, though. Also, perhaps, rape effects the base chakra as well as breaking one open psychologically and psychically.

Guilt: Child abuse victims tend to have a lot of guilt even though they have nothing to be guilty about. This is for several reasons. Their abuser uses psychological abuse to make them think they are partly responsible for the actions of the abuser. Also it is not unheard of for abuse victims to have orgasms while being raped....(i will comment more on this later), leading them to believe that because of that they must have somehow "enjoyed it." And abusers saying things like "You know you wanted it, and you know you enjoyed it." Guilt would especially be used in a religious setting.

Trauma: Of course being raped is traumatic for a young mind, or any age for that matter. Trauma is also a prime target with negs connecting to Core Images of the abuse. Sometimes with the amnesia involved in the abuse making it very difficult to find these Core Images, which obviously makes things easier for negs. Abuse victims undergoing Therapy for this often find the recovering of memories  too traumatic to continue with the therapy, often becoming extremely ill with no apparent physical cause. I suggest this is connected to neg influence not wanting the Core Images being found. A very efficient form of mind control.

I suggest that child rape is used by negs not because of the sexual nature of it but because it would seem to be an easier way for them to take control of a human mind while it is still young and because it includes all the above-mentioned factors. Connected to this are the many reports of Mind-Control victims.

There is evidence to suggest, as much as i don't like saying this, that some abuse victims turn out to be abusers themselves. I suggest this is because the negs responsible for their abuse are the same negs influencing them as adults to abuse others. The negs have managed to attach themselves onto the victims of abuse and go on to influence the victims to create more victims causing a kind of chain-reaction creating future victims for these negs to attach to.

There is really a whole lot more to add to this but i think that is enough for the first post.

I think this was proposed quite some time ago but i've not seen it come to fruition, so thought i would suggest it again. A "Frequently Asked Questions" thread/document/sticky on Psychic Self Defense FAQ. So what sort of questions are normally asked and possible answers to help those looking for them? Any questions you have seen asked or answered more than once?

I wasn't sure where to put this so i'll post it here for now.


I am asleep at my grandmothers' house in the room i always stayed in when i was a kid at weekends. Although i know i am asleep my mind is half awake and i know i am lying in bed on my left side with my back near the wall facing outwards to the rest of the room.

I know im asleep and am trying to open my eyes because i have this feeling i need to be up for work and am not sure what time it is or if im late already. I then get the feeling of sleepily getting up out of bed with my eyes still 90% shut (for some reason its really hard to open my eyes) and walk over to a round clock on the far wall to see the time.

It looks like its around the 4:20 o'clock mark but the clock seems strange as it has more hands than a normal clock. I then think about looking on my  computer to get the time instead. Next thing i know im back in bed and still haven't opened my eyes yet. I remember thinking "did i just experience an obe?" and decided to try and get out of bed again to see if something similar would happen.

With a certain amount of sleepy effort i got out of bed again still with the feeling it is hard to open my eyes but can still see the room around me and a sense i'm also still in bed. I then go to the window to open the curtains to try and estimate if its still morning or what time it might be. I open the curtains and its still dark outside like a normal early winters morning. I then look down into the back yard and there is a figure standing there looking up at me. I get the impression it is female and then i wonder if im still naked or not standing there at the window (i sleep naked).

As i think this i feel someone appear at my side and put her arm around my waist and then it flicks to me being back in bed again, alone. I try to wake myself up and open my eyes and eventually wake up in my real bed at home (with my eyes still shut) and im laying on my left side facing the rest of my room. I havent slept in my old room at my grandmothers since she passed away when i was about 10.

I kept my eyes shut for a while because i find it easier to recall more of my "dreams" if i lay in the same position i woke in and keep my eyes closed to the normal waking world while doing so ( i remember the previous dream to this one where i have an argument with some criminal type trying to rip me off and end up shooting him in the knee with a gun). There is actually more to this last main dream that i cant quite remember (i think during the "dream" i did actually see through my real eyes (closed?) into my real room for a fraction of a second and then flicked back into the dream) but those are the basics.


I know i was OBE and flicked back and forth to my sleeping body even though it sounds like a dream of sorts i guess. But the fact i awoke on my left side and.... the clock i saw? I dont have a round clock like that but it was around 4:30 when i woke up!

I have already asked the Zetas why their prediction of a worldwide cataclysm they predicted to happen last year did not happen. No response, yet.

Here again i offer more evidence that these beings are either outright liars or merely giving out disinformation.

Fortunately for those of us who still have the ability of critical thinking and dont blindly believe everything told us by strange "aliens" there are those out there who have investigated this Photon Band/Belt claim. Notice that the original claim was that Earth would pass through this Band in 1992. In a similar way that no poleshift happened last year, neither did the claim of the Photon Band happen.

Visitors from the Pleiades and the Photon Belt


The following message, in two parts, concerns the February 1991 Australian Nexus magazine article "The Photon Belt Story", and channelled predictions of dates of July 23, 1992, or July 26, 1992, of Planet Earth's entry into the Photon Belt.

THE PLEIADES IN FACT AND FICTION.
EXPLODING THE MYTH OF THE PHOTON BELT:
Avid readers of Nexus magazine may well recall an article entitled "The Photon Belt Story", which appeared in the February 1991 issue.

I read the article with amusement and laughed it off as a joke, however, I have recently become aware that many people took this article seriously and that it has been the cause of some concern.

I am sorry to say that this story, as romantic as it may be, has absolutely no basis in fact. It appears to have become part of a modern mythology which has sprung up around the Pleiades, an open star cluster in the constellation of Taurus the Bull, contrary to current scientific knowledge. This mythology seems to be based on a heady mixture of pseudoscience, channelled messages from alleged space entities, biblical prophesy, ignorance and a liberal dose of naivete. It is fuelled by a general mistrust of our scientific community and misinterpretation of modern scientific thinking.

It is a sad reflection of the scientific education of our society that so many people can be taken in by a story that probably started life as a university student's prank.

For the benefit of those readers who have not read the article, the story, in brief, goes as follows:

In 1961 satellite borne instruments discovered a PHOTON BAND in outer space. This PHOTON BELT or MANASIC RING, which scientists have not been able to reproduce in the laboratory, encircles the Pleiades and extends the 400 light years to our solar system. Quoting someone called Jose Comas Sola, our sun and several other stars were said to be part of the Pleiades System and all these stars were said to have planets. Our Sun was said to orbit this system in 24,000 years, during which time we spend alternatively 10,000 years in the dark and 2,000 years in the light of the PHOTON BELT. We were said to be about to enter the light of the PHOTON BELT, whereupon, we would all be transformed "in the twinkling of an eye" into Atmosphereans and night would cease to exist, amongst other things.

A diagram accompanied the article showing 6 of the Pleiadian stars, Merope, Atlas, Teygeta, Electra, Coeleno and our own Sun in orbit around Alcyone, also a member of the Pleiades, encircled by the PHOTON BELT.

Having been contacted by several members of the public with queries about this story, I determined to sort the fact from fiction and track the story to its' origin.

The article had been reprinted with permission from Australian UFO Flying Saucer Research Magazine. A phone number had been given. The phone number proved to be that of a prominent South Australian UFO researcher, who told me that the story had originally been written by a university student who had been a member of his group at the time. This student is now apparently, a physicist at a well known nuclear facility. The UFO researcher, however, was not clear on where the student had obtained the information and had attempted to verify aspects of it with an astronomer at Mount Stromlo Observatory. I was unable to ascertain which aspects had actually been verified.

Fortunately, the astronomer concerned was known to me, so I paid him a visit. He vaguely recalled talking to the researcher but could not remember the exact details of the conversation. He assured me that he would never have verified the existance of the PHOTON BELT but may have given him some information on the Pleiades themselves. He told me that Mount Stromlo had also received queries about the PHOTON BELT and, like me, had considered the whole thing a cruel joke.

So, what is fact and what fiction? Well, for a start, I was unable to find any evidence for a satellite in 1961 carrying the instruments required to detect a PHOTON BAND as described. Satellites of the era were crude by today's standards and were more concerned with telecommunications, operating principally in the radio wavelengths.

Subsequent satellites and probes, with their sophisticated instrumentation, would certainly be capable of detecting the PHOTON BAND, however, no such thing has ever been reported. This is not a case of scientists keeping secrets, it is simply because it has never been detected.

According to other information I have received, this PHOTON BELT is supposed to be preceded by an ELECTROMAGNETIC NULL ZONE. This zone is said to be an energy vacuum, completely lacking in electromagnetic fields. If it existed, this NULL ZONE would certainly have shown up in the many sky surveys done over recent years on the Cosmic Microwave Background. This background radiation is remarkable because it is so evenly distributed over the entire sky. There are no gaps in its' distribution. The ELECTROMAGNETIC NULL ZONE does not exist!

The PHOTON BELT was also described as a MANASIC RING, a "phenomena which scientists have not been able to reproduce with laboratory experiments". I have been unable to determine the meaning of the word "manasic". I can only surmise that it is derived from the word MANA. It is hardly surprising that this has not been recreated in a laboratory as no-one really seems to know what MANA is, beyond its' dictionary definition as a mysterious power.

And so to the Pleiades themselves. Jose Comas Sola, whoever he may be, was either quite wrong or misquoted. Our Sun is not part of the Pleiades system, neither does it orbit the Pleiades every 24,000 years.

The Pleiades are approximately 125 parsecs or 407.5 light years from our solar system. A quick calculation shows that if our Sun were in this orbit, then its' orbital velocity would be 0.107C or a little over one tenth the speed of light. This equates to approximately 32,000 Km/sec. This velocity would be apparent, not only to astronomers, but to every one, as the constellations would change quite dramatically in the course of a single lifetime if this were true.

The Pleiades is a loose cluster of approximately 100 stars with an average age estimated at 78 million years. These are very young stars, much younger than our own Sun, estimated at 5 billion years old, much younger even that our own planet, Earth.

These are very hot, bright stars of spectral type B, much hotter and about 10 times more massive than our Sun, spectral type G. They have not yet moved away from the interstellar gas cloud, or nebula, from which they formed. Remmants of this nebula can readily be seen in photographs of the group. It has been suggested that this misty nebulosity, shining with the light of the stars within, is what has given rise to the myth of the PHOTON BELT.

Studies of the proper motions of these stars, or their movement through space, have shown that they are in the process of dispersion. There is no evidence that these stars orbit Alcyone as depicted in the diagram. It must also be said that there is no evidence of planets around any of these stars. It may well be that planetary systems may evolve around some of these stars, however, it must be remembered that these are very young stars and planetary formation may well take a lot longer than stellar formation. It seems unlikely that habitable planets have had enough time to evolve there. 78 million years is a very short period on the cosmological or geological time scale.

It is very pleasing to think of our planet coming out of the darkness and into the light, although I do not think our nocturnal fauna would agree. It is much better for each of us to seek emnlightenment within ourselves. This enlightenment cannot be imposed by external forces. A deluge of photons from the Pleiades will not save the planet, nor will it transform its inhabitants into enlightened Atmosphereans. We will have to solve our problems ourselves.

This message quoted Agepal.txt, a file giving the scientific references in astronomical texts for the age, distance, and star type of the various Pleiades stars. This provides you with the opportunity to confirm this aspect of the Photon Belt Parts 1 and 2 material which I posted recently.

I decided to check the remainder of this material by telephoning the number given at the end of the Nexus article "The Photon Belt Story", Feb/Mar 1991 issue, page 6. I made this call yesterday evening, July 26.

Colin Norris answered, and said he was head of the Australian International UFO Research Society, mailing address GPO Box 2004, ADELAIDE, SA, 5001, AUSTRALIA. The telephone number is (08) 272 3131.

I explained the situation. Colin said that he was extremely embarrassed by this matter. He has had to apologise to numerous people who rang from overseas with great anxiety. He has received hundreds of letters.

The original article was published in his Society's magazine in 1981, about nine years before Duncan Roads asked permission to reprint it in Nexus magazine. Apparently it was co-authored by a lady, who tended to write sensational articles, and a young university student who is now employed as a physicist. He does not want to embarrass these people, or jeopardise their employment by revealing their names.

He said he did discuss the article with professional astronomers from the Mount Stromlo observatory, and they advised him not to worry about it. Again, these astronomers did not want their names mentioned because of professional commitments.

I then spoke to the Society's Secretary, Steve Lamont, who confirmed these details.

Colin and Steve gave permission to post this message. They said that the current "flap" appears to be caused by the predictions of exact dates, such as July 23 and 27, 1992. While these dates are now past, and as usual nothing has happened, it is possible that later dates have been predicted by channels in the USA, causing people further anxiety. I agreed to pass on any information that you may be able to provide, and it is hoped that you will please do so. Ingredients;

72 (or more/less) Fresh white button mushrooms.
Virgin Olive Oil (Or pure butter).
Salt (lots of it).
Fresh ground Black pepper.
Flour.
Milk.
Cream.
Large suacepan.

Preparation: Intricately carve each demons/qlippoth's (if you can find any) sigil onto one of the 72 (or more/less) mushrooms (*note1). Put the suacepan on the heat and add the oil/butter until it is very hot. Add all of your now carved sigil-mushrooms into the oil/butter. Add salt, pepper (and if you like it hot, some red chilly peppers too). Fry them until they squeal then turn the heat down on low and put the lid on the suacepan. Keep them there in the hot steam until all the flavour and juices has sweated out of them then throw in the flour to make a roux (*note2). Now slowly add pure milk to the roux mixture bit by bit until it is at the consistency you require (*note3). Add a bit of cream to finish it off and voila! qlippoth/demon soup.
Hmmmmm, tasty!

I might make some for breakfast.

*note1: It might be an idea to do this in a deep state of Samadhi while carving the sigils and cooking them. OR, it might not be a good idea whatsoever to memorize them in the first place (and im leaning towards the latter view at present.)

Negative Spirits or the Dark Side of the Force (From a description
of the positive spirit Tagora and his negative counterpart)

Remember that in the Bardon cosmology, for each positive spirit in
the earthzone  there is also a negative counterpart.  Like Bardon, I
would suggest at the outset that you do not evoke negative spirits.
Bardon says a magician should only contact those spirits which are
compatible with his high ideals.  Since I actively work with the
Judges of Saturn who preside over both positive and negative spirits,
a study of negativity is not outside the range of my work and
responsibility.  And, as a matter of experience, I have met
individuals whose negativity could qualify them to be incarnations of
negative beings.  I have to deal with this kind of thing on a regular
basis.
    One difference between negative and positive spirits is that the
negative are closer to the physical world and have darker colors in
their auras.  For these reasons, they are easier to contact.  You do
not have to be as pure nor do you need some noble purpose to catch
their attention.  You neither have to elevate your consciousness into
a profound trance nor journey far on the inner planes in order to
encounter them.  Their activities are more familiar--their actions are
sensational and full of scandal.  Instead of uplifting and
transforming, they supervise obsession, degradation, and
destruction.
  This is not to say that they serve no purpose.  They too grant an
opportunity to learn through experience.  They give you a taste of
life and a chance to find out who you are and what you are made
of.  
    In fact, they like to challenge and test you.  If you do not have an
absolute commitment to the divine,  if your will is in any way weak
or undefined, they will visit you on occasion or send an emissary
deputizing for them--someone you work with or meet in school or
in your social life.  These spirits are happy to offer their services as
your tour guide, your confidant, counselor, and the author of your
life script if you need a ghost writer.
   If you lack meaning and purpose, they are happy to fill in all the
blanks in your application for incarnation.  If you do not know what
you are after in life,  you can be sure they will find something for
you to do.  Is life drab and boring?  They will find you a task
completely captivating and demanding.  After all, this is their job--to
get you completely involved with life if you do not want to play a
part or else deny you the basics so you come to realize how precious
the life is that you gave up.
  And if you despair for any reason?  Oh, wow, look out.  That is
like shouting or sending  an SOS sent on their private wavelength
saying, "I am here.  Come rescue me for I am lost."   You see,
akasha is so sensitive to will and imagination that your choices in life
automatically activate its resources either for creation or destruction.
Human choice and will are that dynamic and powerful.
    Negative spirits may appear to be exotic and otherworldly, but
they merely reflect things with which we are already familiar.  I have
a friend whose uncle is in the mafia.  Occasionally, he runs into mob
figures.  They always offer him "free" gifts out of respect for his
uncle.  But he knows that if he ever accepts a gift he will be bound
to the mob forever.  Once you take a free handout, they will call on
you for special favors.  You have a permanent relationship.
  I have another friend whose grandfather was a kahuna, a
Hawaiian priest.  Whenever he meets kahunas, they tell him about
the various Hawaiian spirits with whom he has a special connection.
But he wants no part of this.  He has never accepted the psychic
warfare his grandfather, as a kahuna, participated in.  He has
switched religions thinking that in this way he will escape from that
kind of negative spiritual action.  Each religion actually has its own
way of dealing with negative spirits, performing exorcisms, and so
forth.  
   The topic of negative entities covers a vast area of study.  Some
conceive of negative beings, devils, demons, and such as being
insidious, hideous, and violently destructive.  This seems to be the
case but you have to distinguish between lower astral plane entities
and highly developed negative beings.  
  As with the mob, if you go to a loan shark and default on your
loan,  the loan shark will come round and cause you physical injury.
If you run, he will hunt you down. The situation is like survival in a
jungle.  If you suddenly encounter a wounded animal, an animal
whose territory is invaded or an animal with a raging appetite, you
may find yourself attacked with an amazing ferocity.  Behind the
teeth, the jaws, the claws, and the venom is a pain, a rage, or the
blind desire to survive.  Entities on the lower astral plane can turn on
you with a pure, devouring hatred.  And these negative beings, like
the mob or an animal interested in survival, have a powerful sense
of territory and of who is in charge.
   But in the case of the loan shark, there is something more subtle.
The negativity takes the form of entrapment. Nothing is a matter
with what is given--with the money itself.  It is the terms attached to
the loan which make the transaction dark.  Often negative spirits will
sense the power within you.  They see that you have a destiny, a
mission, or something wonderful you are meant to accomplish.
What they do is tempt you with a shortcut.  
  You may have something you really want to do with your life.
But you do not have the money, the experience, the connections,
the friends, the influence, the knowledge, or the magick.  It seems
what is meant to be will never happen.  Your conviction is
inadequate.    
   In steps a negative being. It says, "I will give you power,
connections, and all the knowledge you will ever need."  Because
you lack experience,  the offer appears friendly and generous.  But
you have to be sensitive to what is missing.  Negative spirits often
will grant very positive things or gifts on two but not all three of the
physical, astral, and mental planes.  
   For example, they may dramatically increase you powers of
concentration on the mental plane.  And they will give ideal physical
circumstances where you can work toward you dreams.  But the
astral life they provide is contaminated.  Even as your opportunities
in life increase, your emotional life becomes a toxic wasteland
devoid of love and affection.  They humiliate you and cause
degradation to fill your astral body so you lose the self-esteem you
need to make independent choices.
    Consider another example.  As in some groups, there is a
physical community where you belong.  And there is love and
support nurturing you and drawing you into a life of sharing and
caring.  But what is at stake in this case is your mind.  You have to
think in a certain way.  Any deviation from acceptable doctrines,
beliefs, or interpretations is intolerable. You are not permitted to
think your own thoughts.  
    If you have complete control of individuals' bodies or their
emotions or their minds--just one of these three--you can pretty
much put an end to their spiritual growth.  If you can block a
peoples' contact with the spiritual, then you can destroy the world or
cause untold suffering.  
      The higher negative beings of the earthzone are intelligent and
conniving.  We can see the equivalent in human life.  The Drug
Enforcement Agency sent an undercover female agent to infiltrate
the drug cartels.  She was set up in a business which launders
money.  She succeeded marvelously with the Columbians and so
forth.  But when she went to meet the Italian mob, she ran into
something else.  
   The Italian mob did not know her.  When she got off the plane in
Rome, the mob photographed every single person arriving at the
airport that day.  They wanted to see if there were any other known
agents who came in as her backup.  The Italian mob operates its
own intelligence service similar to the FBI and the CIA.
  This agent succeeded in a securing a large number of arrests and
also the confiscation of $50 million of mob money.  But the mob
also put out a four million dollar contract on her life.  Running into
higher negative spirits is somewhat similar.  You are up against
professionals.  They have a lot of resources to draw upon to
manipulate and to harm you.  
  The mob may live down the street.  You may go to school with
their children.  You may have business associates or friends who are
under their influence.  In some countries like Japan, there is an
unwritten agreement between the government and the yakuza.  The
Japanese yakuza keep juvenile delinquents off the streets.  They
have their own system of internal discipline.  Like the IRA in Belfast
or the mob in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, thieves are not permitted to
operate in their neighborhood.  The mob controls evil like a
monopoly. In effect, it provides order.  Like a thieve's guild, it
insures that negative actions take place within prescribed limits.
Individual initiative is not tolerated.
   Hitler, during the Third Reich, gave occultists a choice.  Either
join the Nazi party or be sent to a concentration camp.  He wanted a
monopoly on magical power.  Even in the United states, since the
1970's, the CIA has run its own research and operations involving
remote viewing.  This is so effective as an intelligence tool that the
U.S. government wanted a monopoly on its use.  The government
actively interfered with individuals and private organizations
researching this skill.
    You can read on the internet and in books a great deal about
this.  It appears the U.S. government used disinformation, character
assassination, and ever physical assassination to control the spread
of information.  Negative beings are like that.  If you are developing
power, they want you to work for them or else they attempt to do
you in.
   The way to escape evil is to say, "I am committed to a higher
purpose.  I identify with it with my whole being.  If you proceed
against me, you proceed against the powers behind me."   In other
words, once you encounter evil--a highly potent negativity--it is no
longer life as usual.  You have to make an enormous commitment if
you want to regain balance and harmony.  This commitment must
transcend your own life.  It must be to the highest light you can
imagine and your commitment must be sufficient that your life then
becomes a vehicle for this light's expression.  In other words, you
need to find a source of power greater than the one which has
control of you.  If you are on a spiritual path, then you need a
source of spirit of greater power and might.
  There are times when there is nothing else that can save you than
your own absolute commitment to the light.  Everyone of us will
one day encounter this situation in one or more of our incarnations.
The Buddhist's refer to this as the motivation to seek enlightenment.
For the Judges of Saturn, enlightenment is much, much more than
something an individual attains to free himself from suffering.  It is a
state of mind in which you are free to celebrate the beauty of the
universe.  It is not just personal.  It is a cosmic event.
   Elemental beings can not approach an individual whose mind is
centered within akasha.  In a similar manner, negative beings can
not approach an individual who, in his faith and at his core,
identifies with Divine Providence.  The thing is you never want to
underestimate the influence of power either in a positive or negative
form.  You never want to make the mistake of assuming that evil
will go away, that once it has contacted you can ignore its touch and
go back to the life you had before.  You can count on negative
spirits to wait life times for you to make another mistake and then
they will offer you an invitation similar to one you accepted before.  
   On the other hand, it is interesting how much power Christians
ascribe to the devil. Jews will tell you that the devil is a minor
annoyance.  It is God you have to look out for--fear Him and
nothing else.  It is only with God's permission that evil enters the
world.  All power is under God's supervision.  If you read the
psalms of David, it is clear that David never forgets for an instant
that God is in charge and not the enemy or negative spirits.
   In our solar system, according to Bardon,  the spirits of the
sphere of Saturn are the Judges who govern both positive and
negative spirits when it comes to karma and cosmic law.  On a
planetary level and in the cases of black magicians, it is the Judges
of Saturn who determine for how long negative spirits may be
unleashed to cause destructive effects.  
  It is the task of Saturn to insure that the paths of spirit remain
open and uncontaminated.  They see the physical world and time as
helping us to discover the divinity within us.  Both negative and
positive spirits serve this same end.  The negative spirits bind,
confine, and destroy.  Again, it requires immense will to be free of
their influence.  
   The positive spirits teach how to take into your hands the powers of
creation.  It requires immense will to work with them.  The eyes of a
magician can see and understand the work and appointed purpose of both
kinds of spirits.  Consequently, a magician neither fears how this or that
experience may rob him of his purity nor does he close himself off from
the world to protect his devotion.  Ideally, he is able to offer
assistance and insight to whoever comes to him regardless of their
situation.
  What black magicians have in common is not their malice, domination, or
evil works.  If you search their hearts, you will find they have lost a
sense of the wonder and beauty of the universe.  In other words, their
hearts are closed.  They no longer seek or desire to see how akasha is
active in guiding and inspiring all things through the power of love.
   For myself, therefore, one of the most important tasks in developing
magical equilibrium is keeping myself inspired.  For me, power serves the
purposes of love.  It is an aspect of being creative.
   When I discover something negative in myself, I seek to capture the
energy and will within it.  I find an ecstasy, a divine purpose, or
natural way of growing which allows the energy and the power within the
negative to be expressed in a totally new way as part of a larger whole.
  The negative is an expression of isolation and destruction.  It
contaminates and steals. But the power within akasha is such that anything
can be brought into a greater harmony, anything can be turned around or
remade so it leads to fulfillment and deep satisfaction.  Love can unlock
any gate or heal any soul.  Part the work, for me, is in retaining my
commitment to and appreciation for this love during all parts of my
journey.
