So just watching an interesting documentary that proves that exorcism is an illusion that's created by seizures of the right temporal lobe.

It seems that the majority of those who believed they are possessed are Catholics. Its all in the mind.

So are you saying that these people are going through a mental meltdown? Some psychiatrists dismiss it as nothing more than a condition known as Demonomania or Demonopathy

Definition of Demonomania:

A delusion that a person thinks that he/she is possessed by one or more Evil Spirits.

I don't think this is a psychiatric problem. Just look at all the accounts of documented Demonic possessions. There are just too many true stories. There is a new Exorcism movie coming out called The Last Exorcism in March, which is based off of a true story. This movie is yet another sequel to the first movie. The same victim is once again possessed by the same malevolent Demon.
yes it will be psychosis of some kind. Nothing to do with spirits or any fictional beings. Regards.

Respectfully David, studying the phenomena of spiritualism and meeting its exponents might help your cause. I wish you well with your book.  :-)

Yeah possession, evil spirits, demons, exorcism are all complete myth.

The film you mentioned is fictional made up story..its not a real account.

The idea that a spirit person can posses the body of another person doesn't work, it works against natural law.

Regards  :-)

My problem with the theorem is that I believe we are only here to grow "spiritually", or however you prefer. But I believe we still exist in some form after this life. If this life is it, and the show is over, then I can see how every act of kindness would be selfish. Since surely being nice to others will promote others to be nice to you and your offspring, therefore increasing their chances of survival. Even if you gave away everything you had to the point that it actually hurt you, it could still benefit your offspring.

It is an afterlife that disproves this theorem to me. But I can't prove that with math.

How does an after life disprove this theory to you? Im interested. Since as we move to the next world all our good and bad karma comes with us and still affects us. You said we are here to grow spiritually so why would we need or want to grow if I didn't affect us when our physical body dies.

If we dont believe in Karma then it doest matter what we do to anyone.

If we believe in Karma them if we give out of kindness and compassion then we still reap good Karma from it and the person reviving it must have dome something in order that the universe has delivered them a position of suffering or need. Maybe the person receiving might get a lesson in gratitude but on a spiritual level little else. Where the giver receives abundantly from their altruistic nature and deed.

We must never expect to have anything in return for giving or we will suffer and be disappointed and we must always forget the good which we do or we will simply add it to our ego and suffer again. We must forget the idea we are more holly or spiritual than some one else for this also inflates our false ego and also not be proud of being the most "humble person" LOL as ironically that too is of the ego  :-D

"Give and you shall receive" Makes sense

Hi restinose,

Please don't worry. I am a medium and I kow that all, especially children are looked after by those kind spirits in the other world. Spirit children will be attracted to sensitive children and especially if there is a lot if love in the home. She won't be lost but obviously likes something about your family. Let her be and she will be fine. She's also obviously gained the ability of making her self seen which is great. She may well be bringing healing to your son. Just because she appears as a child she may be a developed and enlightens soul. Blessings.

Ps if you really want to know, get a medium in and they can maybe talk to her.

Sounds good just go with it, but I guarantee its not because your going anywhere. I don't believe we know that objectively about our death unless we are enlightened saints and then you wouldn't fear it anyway.

Life is full of unexpected joys. That is probably what you are sensing, happens to me :)

Interesting,

I recently listened to a talk I got from iTunes by a monk called swami tayanaga.
He explained that the only person that gains from kindness ultimately is the person giving so it is infact a selfish act. It's worth a listen. It's called something like 4 basic rules.

Good for you!  :-)

So many people say they don't have time to meditate. i find that's just a "cop out".

It doesn't take long to do and does you a world of good!  :-)

Amen, we have to make time and it's worth it !

Like majour ka recommends... don't force it.

Also... I presume the reason why I had clear and concise representations of the RTZ was because I was young... my head hadn't been filled with 'adult' crap... and I just assumed without any question that I was in fact floating around physical reality. It was an almost unquestionable belief that I was... and so was devoid of opinion and theory.

Amen, thats so so true! We often experience more when our minds are free...like children who often easily see spirit people

I'm actually of a different mind in this, I think it's good to learn practice as that will aid your focus. Then from there you can follow your own path and intuition. I used to do a fair amount of drugs many years ago and I can tell you I have found better and lasting life changing joy through meditation that drugs cannot even touch upon. Plus it's free and better for you lol.

Try looking up some recomended authors and see if they do any CDs. Amazon usually have a plenty of feed back ok popular stuff. The Ananda society do some really good guided mediations. If you tell me what kind of meditation you would like ill try and send you a link or maybe make you one and send it as a file share... Just a thought. Peace M  :-)

When you relax completely... when you get to that stage where you don't realise your body anymore... try imagining sitting up. Just a suggestion. This isn't my normal advice... but I have been experiencing this recently.

Yes Defo ! That's good advice !

I think I was trying to get people to not think about the ap until they had mastered the other..but I agree wth you that's Defo the next step and would find your self almost certanly in real time zone :) from there, do you agree ?

I'm a newbie and still haven't consciously projected, but I know what you're saying. In my meditation sessions and as I go to sleep, I relax my body completely, and as a result of that practice, I can achieve a state of near total relaxation just by thinking it. It feels great, and I wish to try and make that my default physical state when I'm just sitting at work or wherever. Usually our bodies are very tense. I'm sure that alone is very draining on us.

Absolutely that's awesome and exactly what it's all about. Also having an awareness of that relaxed body brings our minds into the present moment, which is the perfect place to be to feel alive and raise our consciousness :)

Hi,
From my experience Ive never moved into the room and surrounding location through a lucid dream since our mind is already in the dream state, so thats where we find ourselves.

I have found that I can move into the real time zone through meditation and focus on leaving my body awareness or mind awake body asleep and do the same thing. Don't force it though, when your ready you just shift out and its fantastic.

Just practice  :-)

Greetings earthlings  8-)

Its good to feel alive! Trouble is much of the time we are in default mode of missing the bliss of our own true nature through the distraction of endless thinking and stress. Most peoples bodies are under a great deal of stress nearly all of the time as a result of its own physiological response to all our endless dysfunctional thoughts and emotional responses.

So whats the gift?  :-)

Next time you wake in the night for a drink maybe or early or better still in the morning. Go back to bed and just lay there, close your eyes and watch your body go back to sleep. Notice how calm your mind is, notice how still you have become and just watch.
When you have felt the amazing softness of your own energy as your body falls asleep, gently roll your eyes back and allow you self to nearly fall asleep, you will at that point notice there is a moment where it feels like you have nearly stopped breathing as you go to the next level of body sleep. Be calm and notice that the body natural breaths a a little deeper again once its passed that phase.

Im not going to tell you more because you will find out for your self, but you can lay in that blissful state for as long as you feel. Forget about AP for the time being, just get used to watching your body fall asleep and you can master it with practice.

The wonderful thing is once you know how it feels you can carry a measure of that relaxation and stillness in your body/being all day. It can change you life, as that stillness imbues all that you encounter or do with a sense of calm, where your power is found.

Yes you can do this through meditation, but at the end of a good sleep you will be almost in default mode to reach this state without trying too hard. Your body already knows how to do it. Let it show you.

From there you can more easily AP as well when you have mastered it.

Blessings and sweet waking dreams. M  :-)

I'm VERY distressed because i really dont know LEGALLY what happens to our remains when we die (if there are any)[fully intact]
i was just told we get an automatic autopsy..i dont want that..im from the US and if anyone can enlighten me it would be welcomed, from anywhere in the world what does your govern. do??

I dont know what country you live in but I don't believe we get automatic autopsies, that costs money.

The normal is to be buried or cremated. What do they normally do where you live?
