Maybe you could ask assistance from guides about this. Not so you can do a "parlor trick" but so you can understand why you can't see the card.. find out what is preventing you from doing so.. I mean, admittedly it's not something that is really going to help you to evolve, that is by being able to see what the card is, but understanding why you can't see it would; understanding how you can get a better "remote viewing" ability would; understanding, in general, would help you.. so maybe next time, you can ask for assiatnce with this and find out more about that kind of thing.

Well I had some limited success over the weekend. I found that after drinking half a glass of water I was able to stay hydrated but limited the saliva to around half. I still had to swallow a bunch of times but I found a way to do it where only my throat was swallowing rather than using my entire mouth, tongue and jaw to swallow.. kind of how you swallow when you are in the dentist chair and you can't move or close your mouth but still need to swallow. So it was a lot less disruptive and was easier to put into the background.

Maybe it has something to do with that NASA satelite that is going to fall to the earth today or tomorrow? haha..

On a whim I decided to Google-around a bit:

This is actually quite an interesting read and puts a lot of things into perspective:
http://www.calleman.com/content/articles/CosmicConvergenceSeptember23-26.htm

It talks not about the end of the physical world as many people say but instead about "the polarity shift to unity consciousness ".. interesting read if nothing else.

Or you could get cards that have just a colour (like from a house painting selection thing, pallette) then use those. I still think that anything more than abstract ideas is going to be tough when you first begin.

Those are pirated files. Really, that whole website was ripped off of other people's hard work without permission. It's good the info is out there, but it's a shame it was done in that manner.

I was thinking the same thing when I read it too, to be honest.. but then I found the "Do it yourself" section and the "FAQ" section, which wasn't on "The Frank Kepple Resource Page".. at least not that I can see. All that extra information is so valuable.. especially the stuff about Frank's visualisation run down.. it has helped me immensely.. the FAQ stuff I am reading through, on my Kindle, currently.. I'm sure the info is around the place somewhere but I couldn't find it before that site...

So yes, I agree, it's been ripped off.. but without it.. I may not have found a lot of the information myself so readily.. so I can't really complain.

An eye pillow, eh?

Yer.. the girlfriend doesn't want the window "foiled" up.. she says it will make the room to scary.. hehe.. :D

Thanks for all the ideas, I like the Hyperion Beam idea.. it's something I can keep going in the back of my imagination throughout the day.

Also the part about looking at bed after I get up sounds like a good idea.. and I can visualise my bed even when I am doing other tasks.. multi-tasking.. and concentrating on that energy flow/ebb.

I don't smoke any more. I use an electronic cigarette for my nicotine intake now.. but even with that, I still find my mouth filling up with saliva over about 10 minutes.. :)

Take a deep breath......now... relax. :D

Try to remember that you are here to experience and part of that experience is to enjoy yourself. Try to enjoy this experience you have had. Yes, I agree it has been something that is opening your awareness up to the "connectedness" of the wider reality.. but at the same time you should remain skeptical and curious rather than believe everything at face value and fear it. There's nothing to fear.. just relax and go with the flow.

In regards to the "focus" state... I would guess that you were having a F1/F2 or F1/F3 experience as described by Frank Kepple's "system" of focus states. You were in Focus 1 as your primary focus point but had an overlay of Focus 2 or Focus 3 on top of that "Primary Focus", at least that's how I see the experience.

Certainly by "believing" that you have done something wrong, or believing that you will be "punished"... by believing that.. you most likely will be (by yourself!).. but you can choose to NOT believe that and then you will not be punished because it would be only yourself, your own doubt, fears and beliefs that would be doing the punishing.. nothing external to yourself.

I think we also need to remember that while there is no real truth to good and evil, there are entities out there that like to "play tricks". So it is entirely possible that during your experience, an entity decided to have a little play with you and that one or some of the things you read in the books was actually directed by that entity. They aren't evil by the common definition but more or less mischievious in nature. Nothing to worry about though.

The whole "knew too much now and won't be able to go back" thing is really just about your evolution.. now that you know up is up and down is down, you can't exact choose for down to be up.. well you can.. but the idea is that you have now moved forward/onward and with everything we learn, we have to realise that we can't go back into an ignorant state of being.

Think I might buy some Al Foil today and some tape.. tape that window up.. hehhehehe.. unless my girlfriend completely objects, it can't hurt especially for days that I want to do it during daytime and the light becomes distracting. I own the apartment.. and the window faces out towards a river and I'm on the top floor.. so no one should mind besides my girlfriend.. but she has been listening to the TMI tapes (well actually just the first one.. she keeps falling asleep..hehe) as well.. so she may not mind afterall if she knows what it is for. After every experience, I tell her about it.. :)

I wouldn't mind just being able to completely seal off the spare bedroom in my apartment.. hehe.. just being able to make it PITCH BLACK would be enough for me.. I can make do with the feeling of the bed and stick in some earbud headphones etc.. the light though.. that's what I need to get rid of.. because then I could do everything with my eyes OPEN..

Doing that however would probably mean sticking alum. foil all over the windows and stuff like that..

I've been reading a lot of Frank's stuff, as well as other's like Tom Campbell, and I am wanting to get some ideas for short 5 to 10 minute "excercises" or sessions that I can do while I am on my tea break at work, or on the train or anywhere, which I can use to promote my Astral experiences. Just plonking down on the sofa or bed at night (or in the morning) and trying to Astral stuff without any other thought of it during the rest of the day is apparently not as helpful to the promotion of Astral experiences.. but I don't have the time to do a full TMI tape throughout the day.. I might have only 10mins here and 10mins there throughout a day but rather than wasting that free time because I can't do a full tape, I was wondering if there's something I "can" do?

Ideas and suggestions please.

Never mind Ryan, Orion and Noy helped me in the IRC Channel room. Thanks for your helps Gentlemen!  :-)

Yer.. hehe.. it was a RAR archive file.. guess you worked out how to dearchive it by now but it results in an almost 1 gigabyte sized WAV file. One other thing you might want to look at getting is a program to convert that WAV into a smaller MP3. As long as you choose hiqh quality conversion, there shouldn't be too much loss of audio quality (I did it myself and it's fine). The program I use, which is free and easy to use is called "winLAME". Grab that, install it and then convert that huge WAV to a smaller file. With the default "High Quality" settings in winLAME, that 1gb file ended up just over 100 megabytes (100MB).. quite a difference.. especially if you are wanting to put it on a portable device.

Hehe.. maybe you could try just for the "colour" of the suit next time. Just the colour, not the suit, not the card value. Then next if you can get the colour most of the time, try for the suit.. not the value.. just the suit.. and then after you can get the suit, try for "high/low".. decide what is high (8 and above for example) and what is low (7 and below for example) and then try that.. it might take you many attempts to start to get it "right" for all of the above stages.. I think you need to train yourself like you would if you were an infant. When you are an infant, the numbers and symbols really have no meaning.. they are just colourful. So start there and then work on picking the colours for a while.. even if you get it right the first few times, make sure of it by doing it a bunch of times.. then move on to the suit.

Something else you could do, to make this easier is to remove the 4 Aces from the deck and only use those. It's still a 1 in 4 chance of getting the right colour.. and again, still a 1 in 4 chance of getting the suit later on. Also, while you are shuffling the cards I think you should keep your intent firmly in your mind.

Anyway.. just some ideas.. take them as you will. :)

Just a quick update to say that I "slept like a baby" last night.. no recollection of even dreaming despite my intention to have "awesome dreams about AP'ing and to become aware". I kept sort of repeating to myself "I'm gonna have really awesome dreams about AP tonight!" latching on to an excitement emotion to drive it in deep.. like the excitement you'd get when you are about to go and something enjoyable.. like "I can't wait! I'm gonna have such a great time today! Woot!", that kind of emotion.. and by the time I got into bed and switched out the light.. I was in a VERY good, peaceful/serene mood.. felt really "awesome".. but then I just slept.. haha..

I'm not really disappointed, it was a restful sleep and I obviously needed a rest because I normally have above average dream recall.

Just curious how things are going?

I don't really drink that much soda to be honest.. hardly any unless I go out for dinner. I'll try drinking more water and see if that helps.

It's easy to see why, over the centuries, people who have fear-based experiences in the Astral have come to conclusions that there are demons and other "evil" monsters. It doesn't make these entities "true" though.. all it says is that those people experienced some scary/fearful things and they could not think of, or translate, them in any other way; also due to fear as well as ignorance. In the past, there was a lot of fear.. and there is still a lot of fear but now we have increased awareness, information exchange and everything else that goes with the modern age we currently find ourselves in.

Even people like Robert Monroe originally thought he was going to die, that there were "evil" entities as well as the ideas that he was being harmed  when he first began his journeys and so on. However he had numerous tests, both physical and psychological, that proved that to not be the case. These days, through the information exchange of people like Frank Kepple, Robert Monroe, Bruce Moen et al. we know that the cause of this stuff is from our own doubt, fears and other "thoughts" because thought = action in the Astral.

Just swallow.  Calmly.  :)

Eventually, as you're practicing... you'll just stop noticing it.

Ok cool.. yer.. I guess it's just like another bodily function.. it happens automatically when I am not thinking about it.. just that when I am focusing on.. well.. not focusing on my body, things like that tend to spike my physical awareness. Thanks for the feedback though.. just another one of the many hurdles on the way. It seems silly that something so simple can trip you up though.

Ok.. So I have downloaded Frank's "edited" Wave I - Tape 2. He basically has 5 mins of Hemi-sync, followed by the tape but he then snips off the end of the tape after reaching Focus 10, then switches over to some Isochronic music for the remainder of the 1.5 hour audio track. I followed Frank's visualisation guide for this experience and unsurprisingly I found that I was able to get A LOT more out of the experience. The more I imagined myself in an imagined environment, actually performing the actions step-by-step within the same fixed environment, the more I was able to focus deeper and deeper.

By the time I reached Focus 10, I was deeper than I had been during the majority of the previous sessions. Even when I was at Focus 4, my feet had become totally and completely "non-existant" to the point where my automated body functions wanted to move my feet to acknowledge or prove they were ok. I really had to struggle against the urge to move my physical feet, I could feel that part of my brain wanting to move them because of the lack of feeling in them. This feeling was replicated in my legs during Focus 5 and to a lesser degree in the rest of the body parts as I moved to focus 9. When I got here, I tried to use similar visualisations as in Focus 4 on my hands (i.e. wriggling my nonphysical fingers) but it didn't seem to have as dramatic of an effect. I guess the struggle to still my brain's automated functions took a bit away from my focus during the Focus 4 and 5 stages. This is just going to be a matter of practising more and more with this visualisation and Focus 4 to 9 process, so that it becomes automatic to not want to move my physical extremities.

Anyway, I finally arrived in the Focus 10 "Hut", still following Frank's suggested visualisation. At this point I just enjoyed the new music a bit and centred myself in the hut gazing out through the "window" in the direction of Focus 12. I had a quick look behind to see where I had come from (i.e. at the road from the Focus 3 "archway" and along the stepping stones through all the focuses to where I now stood) to re-affirm that I was not "there" any more but instead in Focus 10. Then I attempted to project my consciousness into Focus 12. I can't really say I was all that successful because I couldn't really get more than the briefest of glimpses of the "3D Blackness".

After not having much luck there, I tried to do other things.. like use affirmations and declarations to pop myself to various destinations. First I tried karen659's "to the Door!" affirmation/declaration. First just stating my intent to go to the door.. then with more purpose "TO THE DOOOOOORRR!!! AAAAARRRR!!".. at which point I had a laugh, internally to myself. I never really got annoyed or agitated.. just tried to really push myself as hard as I could for it to happen, without forcing it. Then I decided to back off and try to get deeper for a while.. after a while I decided to call for assistance from guides. I believe that I was assisted to a certain extent because a few times I could feel an outflowing deep sense of gratitude followed by increased nonphysical sensory awareness and other tingles and energy fluctuations.

At one point it felt like "they" were trying to help me by lifting my left leg out but I had the idea that they wanted me to do the rest. Like they were there to help me to help myself rather than do all the work for me. Then I got into the "affirmation" stuff again at the same time.. like I was, and they were, cheering me on "Get up! Come on, man.. you just have to sit up.. get up off the bed, and then you're away.. just sit up, it's as easy as that.. c'mon! you can do it!" and so on.. it ended up being more of an "UP... UP!!.. UP!!!" thing.. and then after a while, I did almost feel like I was sitting up but I couldn't really get more than a sense of "trying" to sit up rather than any true sense of motion or actually feeling like I was sitting up.

Anyway, after trying a bunch of times I decided that enough was enough "for now" and that I would go back to Focus 1. When I got to Focus 3, I set my intentions for tonight that I would have an awesome dream(s) about AP.. and that when I was dreaming I would realise it and become aware so that I could try to AP from the dream. After setting my intent, I continued on back to Focus 1, opened my eyes, stretched and then stopped the tape. I basically got to 1hr 19mins on the audio track.. so, not bad really.. didn't fall asleep or even come close to losing consciousness and had several really, really good and thorough attempts as well as some interesting experiences. Can't really complain about that. :)

Uhmmm.. how do you people, who have OoBE's et al, cope with saliva build up in the mouth?? One of the greatest distractions I have is that every 5 to 10mins I need to swallow, otherwise I feel like I will choke on my own saliva... as soon as I swallow of course, I am reminded again of my physical body and I am pulled up back to physical a little way, then I need to refocus again.. it's like 2 steps forward 1 step back.. so very slow going.. though there is progress.. just wondering if other people have noticed this and how they overcame it?

So.. a couple of questions I had that I can't seem to find answers for.

Are there specific "pitch" frequencies that are more conducive to AP and other levels of awareness? Just like the 4Hz beat is conducive.. I wonder if pitch plays a part too and I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Are there beats that I should NOT play.. as in.. could cause harm or destablise my brainwaves or make it more difficult to project.

Is there a limit to the amount you should listen to these beats each day? or is it safe to listen to them constantly?

Is white, pink or brown noise better? I mean which is the better one? I find Brown noise to be the least distracting and least annoying.. but would Pink noise be better for maintaining awareness because it is less calming?

I've looked up more than a few pages on Binaural Beats and I just can't seem to find answers to many of my questions.
