You lot might want to read Robert Monroe's books.  He had a lot to do with the higher entities (in a manner of speaking), and wrote a lot about them.
#77
"Sorry if that upsets you but there is no mistake."

Erm, not really.  This was your experience, not mine. [|)]
#78
Have you considered the possibility that maybe you aren't sufficently clairvoyant enough to 'pick up' on emotions/feelings/whatever from very high astral entities?
#79
I think Robert Monroe reported the same thing about certain entites - if memory serves, the angel-type beings that he saw at the 'reception centre' area.

However, it was also revealed to Monroe that love is indeed essential, and that there is in fact a type of 'superlove' that exists in the astral planes and is even tangible.  According to him, it is extremely important.

So don't lose heart just on account of a couple of entities you have met. [:)]

I hate to bump this but I'd really like to know if anybody has any theories on my last post at all?

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Deja Vu

I was going to start a thread but I think I'll just hijack this one. [:D]

According to Bruce in Astral Dynamics, deja vu could be the result of the Akashic pulse.  However, if that were the case wouldn't we all get deja vu at the same time?

I don't imagine it's possible when you're awake, because unless you're attempting to project anyway your projectable double hasn't been generated.

When you're asleep, though, is of course an entirely different matter.
#83
Oh my god Jeff, I can't believe I didn't think of that myself! [:o)]

Thanks for the explanation (which is certainly the right one, now I think about it) and words of encouragement. [:)]

Hi Colin.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Robert Bruce thinks it's impossible for you to be pulled out of your physical body by another entity.  However, expert though he is he doesn't know everything, and who can say what the higher-level entities are capable of?

It was certainly an interesting experience, I must say.  You may have been experiencing vibrations when you awoke because you weren't 'supposed' to be awake at that time, maybe the projectable double was still out.  I base this theory on Bruce's belief that vibrations don't normally occur during sleep projection because the conscious mind isn't present (it's asleep).

Maybe someone with projection experience can shed some more light.

Hahahaha, nice illustrations! [:D]

I realise that, I was simply trying to argue the point from your point of view.

I really don't know what else to tell you.  I can only regurgitate what Bruce has said in Astral Dynamics as I have no experience of my own to go on.  Besides, if what Bruce says about astral feedback is true, I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of testing the theory, either. [:D]
#87
Nobody said that consciousness was copied, 'just' the mind.  By 'he' I meant wherever his consciousness was at the time.

As for astral feedback, how could one of the two bodies do any perceiving if it has no mind?
#88
math:

Yes, Bruce says that that exact situation can occur when attempting to project.  He says that you can successfully project your astral body but fail to move your consciousness into it.  This will leave you paralysed inside your physical body until such a time that your astral body chooses to return to it.  At that point, depending on the success or failure of 'downloading' shadow memories, you may or may not receive all the memories of what you were up to during the projection.
#89
"I accept situation when the astral body and physical body observe each other because in such a situation we got ONE consciousness experiencing two bodies."

I just don't accept that at all.  That wouldn't explain astral feedback, would it?  In my opinion, limited as it is by a lack of experience, Bruce's entire mind-split theory is the only plausible way to explain it.

Have you read Monroe's work?  He stated that you actually have several bodies/minds operating on all astral levels at all times, and that for most of your physical life your consciousness is simply 'fixated' on the physical which is why that's all you're aware of.  In his later life, he was able to simply phase between these different levels and occupy whichever of his minds he chose.
#90
The concept is very plausible to me.  I don't project myself, yet, but I like to think I understand a lot of it after reading Astral Dynamics and all three books by Robert Monroe.

It's a commonly-accepted fact that you're always aware of your physical body even if you're miles away from it in a physical projection.  How else would this be possible if not for the mind-split?  Furthermore, Bruce went to great lengths to describe the phenomenon in AD and none of it sounded strange to me.  If there was no mind present in the physical while you're messing around in the astral dimensions somewhere, wouldn't the physical body just die?

I don't understand why you're willing to accept the concept when the astral body and physical body observe each other, but not when they don't.  Why's that?  Bruce states clearly (using a very solid explanation, moreover) that when this happens you get astral feedback, which intensifies the feelings of both minds, which explains why the awareness of both minds is so intense during the close encounter.
#91
Hehehe!  Erm....you're welcome? [|)]
#92
If I may interject?

Robert Monroe's line-extending technique was apparently nothing more than a way of inducing the vibrational state.  I think the reason he did it was because he ended up looking upwards, in other words rolling his eyes back.  Robert Bruce mentions this also, and says it's just a way of making the vibrations stronger.
#93
Something tells me that when you consciously project into the RTZ, you will know it isn't just a dream, lucid or otherwise.
#94
What all that tells me (yes, I did read it all and enjoyed it) is that you have pretty much 'proven' you can do it.  I can only echo what the others have said, namely to keep at it without using drugs.  I love weed myself, but I wouldn't even attempt to project whilst high on it.

You strike me as someone who could achieve total mastery over yourself if so desired, and that is a strong aid to conscious projection.  I would say that if you practiced enough, you would eventually achieve what you want.  We have all been there, getting to stages where we think "oh come on, this has to be it" and it's easy to get discouraged.  I myself have often found myself thinking "aw this is never gonna happen", but then I realise what it is I am potentially turning down, and renew my efforts every time!

Just keep at it, man.  I'm sure you'll get it eventually. [:)]

This thread kicks arse!  Ask him why he keeps inflicting me with ingrowing toenails, the bastard...

I think Mars is still visible in the night sky, so it should be pretty easy to reach at the moment.
#97
As I understand it, you need to be firm with yourself and command yourself to see.  Try saying "vision, now!"

Sufficient stimulation of your chakras will probably help, too. [:)]

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Naps and OBE's

Yeah, naps are probably good because they send the body to sleep.  Same way it's apparently easier to project after sleeping.

Robert Monroe had some very interesting things to say about love in his books.  I highly recommend them.

holy reality - if you want my advice, bearing in mind I haven't projected yet (to my knowledge, hehe), I would suggest you go back to the beginning with Astral Dynamics.  Bruce is, after all, an expert on this stuff and I doubt anybody could more clearly explain how to do it than he.

In the meantime, I would try this.  When you're at the keyboard, look down at it and remove your hands from it.  Then try to imagine your hands typing away at it.  Picture - for now - your hands transparently moving across the keys.  That shouldn't be too difficult.  When you get a good feel for it, try closing your eyes and then repeating the exercise.  See those mental hands moving across the keyboard and imagine how it feels.  When you progress enough in that way, try to do the same without picturing it.

I wish I could be of more help to you, dude.  Don't give up, whatever happens!  Everyone can learn to do it in time, I'm willing to bet.
