Yes, but it sucks that you can not try it out before purchasing it, especially in America. You just have to take people's word on it (and there isn't many).

There's just not enough hours in the day to keep up with everything! I used to play a bunch of video games, but I stopped. Just sapped too much time. Funny, I'm neck deep into Portal right now >_> So much fun!

Portal is one trippy game!

When I was a child I had "frightmares" and would be stuck in a nightmare on a regular basis. I would get up and go to the bathroom and would be somewhat aware of my surroundings but still think I was dreaming. My mother would try to wake me up with no luck: I still thought someone I loved or myself was going to die. I experienced this not that long ago. I was awake but still thought I was going to die soon and couldn't quite get out of my dream but it was nothing like when I was a child.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Controlling Lucid Dreams
December 06, 2012, 13:17:06
I have lucid dreamed ever since I was young but I do sometimes have trouble with this but have gotten more control lately. For one start with basic things. Just like the saying "walk before you run," try taking control of your actions rather then try to change your entire surrounds. For example: obviously realizing that you are dreaming is the first step, and that whatever happens will not carry on to your waking life. If you feel the need to say something to someone that you are scared to otherwise then say it, it's quite liberating. Or if a story is playing out before you and you are worried how it will end, let go of that fear. I just use these as examples because usually my dreams involve a problem or confrontation that needs to be solved, I am not sure what is the usual baseline of your dreams. You have to slowly train your dream self that there are no limitations. This is hard because in dreams there are usually story lines we feel trapped in.

I REALLY like weather. I will stand out in the middle of a lightning storm and just smile. I love watching a rainstorm come through. I don't know what it is with weather... I have always been attracted to it. I will stop what I am doing to watch the lightning.

\

Lightning and thunderstorms are some of my favorite things too. I remember growing up in Texas the thunderstorms there in the country were freakin incredible. There is nothing like though low grumble to lull you to sleep.

My biggest thing is food and cooking. I love love love to cook. I am saving my money to earn my degree in the culinary arts. I don't want to be a pastry chef but I find so much enjoyment in making the holiday desserts and everyone's over-the-top birthday cakes. For my father's last birthday I made him a double layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing in the middles then coated in chocolate genache and topped with assorted candy bars. It was actually good though it sounds disgusting.

I live in Utah but I have an extreme love for Oregon, especially Portland, and plan to move there when my son is old enough to be in school. Spending time in the mountains and hiking is something I also hold very close to me. There is just something so majestic about it and really gets me in touch of a higher reality and how we are so much more then what we think on a daily basis. I love to read (fiction, nonfiction, depends on the mood,) and write though I've been lacking in that area for a few years. Same with music. I play the drums but It's been years since I've owned a full set and had anywhere to play. One day though...

Sorry I wasn't terming it correctly. I should have searched "audiostrobe". I wasn't looking for actual trance videos.  :-P Thanks for your help.
#83
Does anyone mind giving me some links to youtube videos for entrainment? I have been searching on there but it is hard to filter through all the ones with horrible quality and stupid captions.

I am seriously looking into the Procyon machine. I really would be stupid to spend six hundred dollars right now for the laxman while trying to save money for school and reading reviews on the Procyon it really seems to set out what it is made to do. If anyone has any reviews or insight on the Procyon I am all ears. It will still be a couple of months before I can purchase it (damn Christmas  :-P) but I will also write a review after using it.

That's funny because I very close to phasing while in the bath, and then I get paranoid about leaving my body while being in a body of water.  :-P

We are all different. Some like cheese, some don't.

There are people who don't like cheese?!!!!  :-o

They say at least seven hours asleep is good for adults, though of course I have seen many other people function on less sleep because of their early work schedules. I can function on seven hours of sleep but I'm a little weak. I bust my balls (sorry for my french) at work all day and come home to my three year old so most nights I sleep for ten hours (not interrupted though). What I guess I'm saying is that seven hours is a good amount of time to sleep If you can sleep through the night. If you toss in turn then of course you will fatigued in the morning. I believe relaxation exercises can help with that. Have you tried melatonin? It's completely natural and you can get it at health food stores.

I have been doing various research on light machines. I still want to do way more research before putting a few hundred bucks down for one, but for the time being I downloaded a biofeedback program called neuro programmer. Since you can customize the theta, beta, and alpha waves of a session: where should I start. If I'm trying to get myself into a trance to have an OBE then what waves should I have more of-if that makes since. I'm going to try it out tonight or set my alarm to get up early to try out a session. I have used bin aural beats before but I hope this has more of an effect on me.

I just bought a piece of Astrophyllite from spiritcrystalcavern.com. I bought it from there ebay but they have ones listed on their website as well. They are a really good price and have some beautiful crystal pieces. The astrophyllite I bought is a palm stone and also very beautiful. I am excited to try it out tonight.

People are driving while asleep?!  :-o Here are my keys, take them.

Damnit I really wish I could afford the laxman! I have OBE's through my dream state but also have a huge problem getting into a trance or even meditating. It use to come fairly easy to me and now after being a single mom working fifty hours a week I can't get my mind to shut up without falling asleep.

Like some of the other users who posted, I too believed ever since I can remember that there was more to us humans and our world then what normally meets the eye. My parents moved me into a strange house for a short period of time while I was 4. It wasn't negative or anything but the best way to describe it was that the veil between realms were very thin. Just being in that house made it seem like I was always in the astral. While in bed I always heard a lot of mumbling going on in. One night while asleep I had a spontaneous OBE in real time zone. I saw myself rise out of my body then I was floating around the house talking to some other spirits in the astral. One of them told me it was time to go back to bed so I floated back into my body. After that I could not even use the restroom properly and get my pajamas back on without help from my father.

I didn't know what to make of this surreal experience until I became friends with a girl 8 years later who told me about Astral Projection and then it all made sense. I have never had an experience like the one I had when I was 4, but growing up I was successful in controlling my dreams-it just came naturally. I did research on AP and was shocked at home common it was. I truly believe anyone can have OBE's, and do. The learning rate is different for many people. I have been interested in this topic for 9 years now and I still have had only a handful of vivid OBE's. I think it can relate to what out spiritual self can handle, what we are ready for and what we are not.

There has been times when Amethyst is way too powerful for me, it's almost nauseating, but it has helped me quite a bit in channeling energy through my third eye. I heard long ago that It was supposed to aid in astral travel but I have only had one experience with it beside me. Most of the time Tiger's eye is too subtle for me to feel anything. Carnelian works wonders for me, always has, with whatever my intentions are. To each his own right?

This is a pretty crazy transition. It's almost funny how you just rocketed out of your body and your room. I wonder why you didn't get very far. Do you think it was because you were so exhausted before leaving your body?

Awww that was really heart warming. I love how much determination he had, even when his spirits were low. Anything is possible!

What makes you think that Seth is accurate? I have heard of her before and my brother has her book....... IDK if Seth is accurate. Even though I believe in astral projection, I am in general pretty skeptical about channeled info. Thoughts?.....

It's all opinion and theory. Why ask us all what the purpose of reincarnation is because are any of us going to be accurate? Maybe, maybe not, you can't be sure.

For years I have had a "chaos" approach to the meaning of life, meaning that I am not trying label myself but understand that anything can be possible so I have more of a casual approach to belief. Any theory I have can of course be wrong so it's hard to say if reincarnation is real. For all I know it could be like groundhog's day and I could die then wake back up and relive it all over again because I missed some meaning. That would explain deja vu quite well. However, I totally agree with chopstickfox: we are here now and we might just have one chance to live our life to the fullest. People have been searching for the answer to "what is the meaning of life" and believe they have failed. I believe the meaning of life is right in front of us. It's to enjoy life and all of our experiences.

I have a hard time flying sometimes. I think because I have some doubts holding me back and I don't truly believe I can so I'm setting myself up for failure. This theory probably relates to you not being able to walk through walls. You kind of think that you might not go through it so you don't. Your over thinking things!

Wow, that was a very vivid recall of your memory. It was very sad but I am glad it had a better outcome. I'm also a little shocked you had such a long experience, at least that's what it seemed like through reading. Congrats on completing your quest though.

Man, I am just sick of this grey BS structure that humans have developed. We have the resources and knowledge to live so much better and experience so much more. I want it all lol. My soul is not made for mundane life and 9-5 job and so on.
I am not trying to bombard you with my sort of dogma but I have some opinions on your outlook. It's incredible that you are striving for something more spiritually, but there is much to be learned in our "mundane" life. If there wasn't your soul probably wouldn't be here in the first place. It's all perception. I find that the my waking experiences are just as amazing as any non physical ones, but maybe that's just me. I think the key is to balance the two: physical and nonphysical, because you can't really have one without the other if your living on earth.

To answer the topic: Besides the whole evolving spiritually with AP and discovering more about why I respond to the world and relationships the way I do, I do look forward to playing around a bit. This might seem nerdy but I read this book called "Mandy" when I was younger where this young girl escaped into the woods to this abandoned cottage that she made her own. I love the idea of creating a sacred cozy space to go: a home away from home that I can mold to my liking. I would also love to travel in real time to see different countries and famous landmarks. I've had OBE's before but I didn't get far before the memory faded away. I would like to get good at flying, for when I've done it before I either was unable or was scared senseless when I started floating up.

Well I don't mean to point out the obviouse here but Frank Kepple talked about focus 4 and how we all evantually join this Kind of energy or serious of conenctions. It is apparently a step above the astral world, Frank went on to say and I've seen other say this that we did infact create ourselves here in the physical. I've never been there though I may have not really explained that well sorry.

Well I hate to point the obvious but because someone else said something were true does not make it true. I am not saying I disagree with this but I have my theory on the universe because of what I have experiences. The same goes for many others.

^ Very true. I recently had a dream induced OBE and someone was instructing me to end the experience soon so I could remember it better. I don't think he was "my guide" but I do believe there are many beings out there who have helpful words. Are astral selves probably communicate with other astral travelers and we don't remember it.
