Welcome to Dreams! / Dream colours
February 09, 2005, 02:08:16
Last night I had a very vivid dream of being outside at night. Instead of the sky being black, it was a solid darkish blue, and all over it sparkled with tiny silver dots like a sparkler, very fine though (but bright) silver sparkles. It was the most magnificent, awsome sight I've ever seen.

All this happened after I was falling asleep after trying to imagine a colour that to humans, doesn't exist. I couldn't of course do it. Apparently the "afterlife" has such indescribable colours. My dream was full of weird colour schemes. No colours that I hadn't seen before, just different (weird) colour schemes, but so very beautiful. Just thought I'd share.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / wind sound

I haven't felt any wind, but I have heard a very loud howling wind noise.

Yes, the 10 mins was just a joke. :-) It got my attention that you said you'd try for an obe and had one. 4 to 5 times out of 10 is very good. I have wondered what the success rate is like amongst the seasoned projectors.

I've been trying for a year, so my success rate is not very good. I am not disheartened at all, it feels like an obe is just around the corner. I have experienced some interesting things recently, and I have started to get lucid dreams regularly. Inside I feel this hmm feeling that something will happen. It's a kind of numb vibe, I don't know how to explain it, I just feel different, I feel confident about it, a warm numb sort of vibe.

Or maybe it means nothing at all LOL!

This thread is soooooooo over my head. I don't understand ANY of it! Hehe. You are all so advanced.

Nay, it was great to read your experience!

You said you thought it would be a perfect time to project when you realised your son was not up yet, and then you did project!

Do you usually have such a good success rate once you decide you will attempt a projection? hehe.. it sounded so easy! "Yeah, I've got a spare 10 minutes to have an obe, I'll just sit down here until the boy gets up, *WHOOSH* There I go..." . Hmm

Heh!

It's funny you thought if was funny to get sliced up! :-)

I take it that Jo is your spirit guide then?

QuoteSo if we are all immortal why are people not raising from the dead?
If you listened to the FREE recording I gave you links to, you'd know the answer. It is often said that death is the most wonderful and exciting thing that we can look forward to. They wouldn't dream of coming back. The afterlife is wonderful. It is said in some of the recordings. The earth is just the start, death is completely an illusion.

Spirits wonder why we bother with organ transplants and trying to prolong life as long as possible. Knowing what they know, they think this is dumb. But you don't want to know any of this anyway Soma-Sight

I should have said I am sorry for you that you have a closed mind, because if you listened you would have heard Mike says very good things about Jesus. Demon?

All the spirits are full of love and kindness and are desparate to teach the truth. Nothing evil or negative is ever said. Demons?

Aren't you worried that you dismiss something without listening/studying first. Do you realise even that your mind is closed? My mind is open, it doesn't mean I believe anything. I would have total respect for you if you listened and learned about the 40+ years of Leslie Flint's work, then decided it wasn't for you. Instead your close-minded response makes you look unintelligent.

Soma-Sight

Here is a link for you if you have an open enough mind.

http://freewebs.com/afterlife/flint/flintrecordings.htm

And download the first Mike Fearon interview. The sound files on this page are of people who are dead, with their voices manifested through the mediumship of Leslie Flint. He speaks a lot about Jesus.

Next George Briggs

After this, try David2 and Dr Cosmo Lang who was a former Archbishop of Canterbury. After this listen to everything else.  :D

Thankyou so much Sarah for your very clear reply!

I was expecting my questions to be a bit much to answer, but I understand everything you wrote. You answered very clearly. I have learned so much!

Thanks for taking the time to answer!

I was surprised with how much you like the hand clapping exercise. It generated some interesting sensations. I varied the way I clapped a bit.

H = Clapping hands together
L = Clapped or tapped top of legs

So I did HHLL HHLL (continuously repeated) for a bit, but if I got a bit used to this and wanted to sharpen my concentration I'd do HHHL HHHL over and over, then HLLL and this was good HLHL, but after I got really absorbed in it, I found I just like the original HHLL. Anthing could be done though I guess HLLH, or maybe two taps on the nose and one on the back of the head? It is best to experiment. I just changed whenever I felt I needed to improve my focus. But more importantly I knew I had to FEEL the sensations in my hands and legs. I found HEARING the clearing was not difficult. SEEING, I was not so bothered with, but maybe I should have been, just to use an extra sense. I'll try again as you suggested - Don't do the exercise with any particular expections.

Thanks again!

Senzu, well done for even being able to project!

What is your own personal method?

Actually, the cause of it is heat in the body. Heat always rises out of the body at the top of the head. The whistle in the ears is like steam coming out of a kettle. I heard this from a naturapath on the radio. He described it fully. :-) Certain herbs can cool down the body/liver and reduce the noise. This is how tinitus (sp?) can be cured by naturapaths, where as normal medicine can't because drugs seem to heat up the body or liver.

I wonder why though, when I concentrate on it, it does seem louder. More heat from concentration? hehe. Must be working my brain too hard! Better not overload it by actually trying to use it!

Thanks Frank, I do understand. What you said reminds me of exactly the same thing that some spirits said in a couple of the Leslie Flint seance recordings I have. As soon as you start to think "Who am I?" and "What am I doing here?", immediately your consciousness becomes raised, and you are guided by people in the spirit world who love to help.

In fact so much of what you and others write was said in Leslie Flint recordings 30 - 40 years ago. So much detail of what is in the afterlife is described, and corresponds with things people such as yourself discover first hand through obes.

Charlotte Bronte and Oscar Wilde talk about inspiration that people receive from the spirit world when their consciousness is raised.

A guy who died in a motorcycle accident talks about spending his time in the afterlife doing retrievals, and describes how it can be hard to convince people they are "dead", and they must move on.

Another man talks at length about his time in a belief zone. He was religious and he describes how he was eventually "rescued" from this belief zone once he allowed himself to raise his awareness and stop shutting himself off from people trying to help him. He thought he was in "heaven" and didn't want to leave that place, at least until he did and he realised that he was in a belief zone.

There is no God as humans imagine. God is described as the main "Force" in the universe, not a person-like being. A part of this force is in all of us, so there is a part of "God" in us all. We judge ourselves after death. And there is no hell. This is repeated a lot. If there is a hell, it is created by man himself.

Another thing that is talked about is thought creating reality, even here on earth.

Charlotte Bronte even talks about on some spheres, characters from books and whole plots are performed from people's imaginations when reading books in the physical. When millions of people are reading a particular book, the characters manifest quite solidly, though they have no real soul of their own. Thought forms are written about here.

These things are written about here in the forums, yet they were recorded on tape as long as 40 years ago. There are lots more examples too. I think it's fascinating to read people having first hand experience of all this, without even knowing who Leslie Flint was, or about the many hundreds of recordings of people in the spirit world.

Sarah, thankyou so much for posting these experiences. I hope you don't mind, I have lots of questions?!

Several times you mention waving your astral arms and hands. Today I spent quite a long time trying just to project my arms to see if I could feel them waving around. I am very curious to know how you experience this (I mean what it feels like to you).

QuoteI realised I was ready and pulled my arms out. They slightly 'popped' as of they weren't quite ready.

Is it possible to put into words what it feels like to be ready? I felt deeply relaxed and very heavy all over, but any attempt to pull my arms or legs out made me feel my physical arm or leg would move. A gentle move confirmed this.

I was sitting in the loungeroom when I tried this: I imagined the feeling of sitting on the edge of my bed so I'd be trying to put my consciousness in a different room. I imagined sitting there clapping my hands twice, then tapping my legs twice, then kept repeating this – hands clap clap, clap clap on top of legs. After 5 minutes or so of this I found I got very absorbed in it, and could easily "hear" the claps, and how clapping the hands sounded different to tapping on the legs. I also tried to feel the mild "sting" in my hands as I clapped them, and I could feel the mild sting on the tops of my legs. Doing this helped me to keep my focus on being in this different room. At times I really felt I was there and I got feelings of energy rushes which unfortunately startled me back to feeling like I was in the lounge chair. I was hoping this clapping might stimulate my astral arms to free themselves from my physical body, but they never did. The above exercise seemed to just relax my body deeply and put me into a trance, which I don't have the experience to do anything with.

Anytime I feel I want to free a body part, I just end up moving my physical part. I hope there is a way of describing a "ready state".

QuoteI realised that my right astral arm was moving around gently inside my physical arm, and that my body was totally asleep, but still awake.

I'd love to know what this feels like. I guess when I've tried, my body hasn't been totally asleep.

QuoteI moved my astral arms around. I could see them, they looked perfectly physical.

How did you see them, were you in your astral body, or were you seeing through closed eye lids? Before you wrote this you said you found yourself back in your physical body. If sometime it feels to me that my astral arms have come free, how should I look at them? I mean, I can't open my physical eyes, how did you see your arms in the above instance?

A couple of times you wrote how you couldn't see when out of body. How did you know you were out of body? Was it a strong "life-like" feeling of walking around the house as if your eyes were closed? In other words you could feel things, but not see them? I often try to visualise walking around the house and seem to be able to feel I am doing it, only for a few seconds though, because my visualisation is not that strong. I know for sure I am not out of body when I feel this, I am just imagining it, but for a few seconds at a time it feels like I am away from where I am lying down. Not a feeling like "real life" but just mildly and just for a few seconds before I lose concentration. Even though this isn't an obe, I am wondering what the difference is between this, and what you describe when you say you move around without seeing. For example:

QuoteI realised my astral eyes were closed but decided not to try and open them this time and just feel my way around.

QuoteI couldn't see anything, nor was I mind-sensing, but I could remember where the door was. I went through the door (without opening it) and knew I should be in the hall. I still couldn't see anything and was having trouble imagining what the hall would look like from where I was standing. The hall appeared to be a bigger, longer hall and much darker than our hall, even though I couldn't see it. It was more of a gut feeling.

When you experienced this in your obe, did you feel like it was very real, but without sight?

QuoteI realised my legs seemed light and I found it very easy to lift my right astral leg up and out. I then tried to rise horizontally, but I couldn't do this (I never seem to be able to do this!).

I never seem to be able to do this either!  :D

QuoteI started doing sit-ups and got to the count of three, when I felt a small boy on my body somewhere. He was only about two years old, naked, with jet black hair. I chose to ignore him and he either crawled off me and continued on his way, or disappeared. I wasn't at all concerned with him.

This isn't the first time I've read a post where something so curious is described, and the author writes they showed no interest. I would want to ask the boy who he was? Same here:

QuoteI noticed a boy / young man also lying on the floor and our feet were nearly touching. I didn't know who he was. I think he was naked. He was busy doing his business, as I was doing mine. Neither was bothered with each other, but I was worried that our legs would get tangled up with each other as we moved around. Then I realised we were both spirits and our legs would just go through each other's, as I thought this, our legs did 'make contact' but also went through each other. Then I was back in the physical, still aware.

What business was he doing? Are you ever curious as to who people are, and why they might be in your bedroom lying naked on the floor?

QuoteI was relieved and started to rub my astral hands all over my body so I'd be able to get out.

How does rubbing your astral hands over your body help you to get out? Is this a technique you often do?

The carnival day was interesting to read about. Do you think places and events like that are really happening and you were there amongst real spirits because you happened to have projected at that time? Would the carnival have happened if you weren't there? Or was it created by your own imagination? I'm just wondering if it was a real place and event that you attended. I wonder if there is any way of knowing.

Sorry if there's too many questions I've asked. I only asked what I sincerely want to know. J

Thanks for writing your interesting dream here, Nay, I was hoping to find it! :-)

Sorry I can't do dream interpretations, but I see you've got some good feedback. I'm curious to know what a purple aura is about too!

QuoteI've posted many of my experiences, I suppose they just aren't that thought provoking.

Nay, some of your posts have been the most thought provoking to me. I found your posts on retrievals fascinating to the extent that it is the number one thing I would like to do if I can have an obe. Frank has posted about retrieval work in the past too. I haven't seen any posts recently about retrievals. Is anyone still doing them? Nay, post your dream!

MajorTom, it had crossed my mind that people might be modest and not want to show off. People, in my opinion, shouldn't worry about this... worry that they may appear better than others. By posting, they may actually learn something from someone else, and realise there is much to learn from that experience from others. In other words, maybe they could realise they are not "better" than everyone else, as others have had similar experiences, but they may also learn something from others that they didn't learn immediately from their own experience. I am not being very clear here, let me give an example.

Imagine wildly that I have my first obe today. I write here how exciting it was for me because I found myself "out of body" in my room, and I floated through a wall and couldn't control my movements, or see clearly, but nevertheless it was great. Someone else writes back to explain how I can see more clearly and gain better control. I learn from my "uneventful" run-of-the-mill newbie obe.

That's at the simple level, but those who have more advanced experiences could probably learn something from someone else who's been there, done that. Also, if newbies like me experience that in the future, we will remember the post and would have a better idea of how to react to that circumstance, which may be better than what the original poster did. I have already learned a lot fom those who have gonebefore me and posted their experiences. If I had that experience above, I'd command "Clarity Now!", and try to think myself to where I want to go, instead of walking. That's from reading other people's experiences, I have a head start. I don't have to learn from scratch through a lot of trial and error.

You might think your own experiences are not worth writing about sometimes, but you don't know who it might help sometime in the future. All obes are great!

I'll stop now  :D

Frank, how did you discover this information?

It's fascinating like everything else you write, but how did you learn about everything being made up of elements of consciousness? It's usually so hard for me to get my head around many of the things you write. So much of what you write is so different to what I'd thought before.

Potatis

I'd like to hear about more experiences though, even if they are dull.

People are always saying they are experienced from years of obes, and after reading someone else's post, they say how something like that happened to them too. Why don't they write what happened to them at the time they experienced it?

I'd say interesting obes are going on all the time, but people are keeping the experiences to themselves. I remember when Major Tom wrote how he saw his physical body was following him around. Amazing stuff. But experiences like that tend to come up more when responding to people's questions instead of a separate great post.

As someone who is actively trying to have his first obe, I can only imagine that if it someday does happen, I'd want everyone to hear what the experience was like, even if it was uneventful. The fact is, as a person yet to experience an obe, I feel I can learn from anything I read about people's experience. It'd be so exciting to have an obe, it feels now that I'd be writing about every one of them I ever had here. It may be of interest at least to those who have never had an obe. I can't get enough of trying to find out "What's it like?", then when I read someone's answer, I try to find other people's answers to that question. I love to read posts about obe experiences.

I've just read what I wrote above, and it sounds a bit like I am complaining     hehehe I meant it just as some side info I hope people will keep in mind...    Lots of people write about their experiences here, I'd just love to read more.

I don't think I've told any lies in this post.  :D
