The New Age philsophy will be the religion of the future, and I say that as a Christian.

This topic is exactly why I want to become a priest.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / WHAT DO YOU DO ?

I scour Canadian highways in search of roadkill, which I sell to McDonalds restaurants. They get a discount if it's missing a head.

It is a viable method to induce relaxation. If you end up running in the streets naked, you're reading the wrong articles.

Every now and then I will look at a posters age and come to one of two conclusions:

1) Let the grownups deal with this child, you're far to immature to grasp the subject matter.

-OR-

2) Sorry pops, your time has come and gone, better retire.

I would imagine that these two reactions happen frequently, within all age groups.

As a 22 year old, I know this: I know nothing and ignorance is bliss. I cannot proclaim that I know more than a child about the spirit world, simply because as a child I was more attuned to the spirit world. I also cannot proclaim a great deal of applied knowledge when it comes to how the world and the spirtual world connect, as older people tend to focus on due to their wisdom(or lack of).

I've always hoped that heaven is like eternal childhood, because adulthood is hell. Everything is so serious and life begins to shed it's dreamlike image of days spent at the park, trading instead for the concrete cold reality of bills and jobs. Perhaps that is why we strive to become more spiritual, because it reminds us of childhood.

Granted, children are of an annoyance to me, but I would imagine that the generations ahead of me a annoyed with my age group. It seems as though the further apart age wise, the more distant we are concerning how well we understand each other.

Ok, enough rambling.

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have Him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.

When Jesus saw this, He was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Welcome to Astral Chat! / a beer?
July 26, 2003, 15:57:50
i started a thread about the "kids" on this site while i was drinking. i was far from drunk but at the same time i was not in the correct frame of mind. i have upset quite a few members because of my immaturity. i thought i was being soooooooo cool at the time. boy did i feel different the next day. i feel the foolishness now that i should have felt that night. so i warn everyone of the dangers....................dont drink and post.

Could it be my hypothesis has merit!

It seems that the rule is this:

Ignore the child till he grows to be able to look you in the eye, then you should take him seriously.

Oh, and thanks to Hypnotist and Parmenion for those files.

Self hypnosis. It worked for me anyway.

By the quality of posts this week, i'd say 95% of astral pulse are constantly drunk.

a) What was your first impression when you came across this site ?

"Oh my God, could this messageboard be anymore annoying"(year 2000 board looked very different from this one, and it made me cry when it didn't work in my browser half the time[V]).

b) How easy was it for you to post a topic ?

Easy enough. Back then, it was less about the esoteric matters, and more about OBEs, so it didn't scare me off.

c) How did you feel afterwards ?

I smoked a cigarette.

I agree James, it all seems like wishful thinking.

"Oh, little billy kicked the cat again, he must understand things that we cannot!"

Oh well, to each his own.

Ok, I found it.

some serial killers like ice cream. if i like ice cream too would you also say that i very well could be a serial killer?

The "test" was one of many given to serial killers. It was not a definitive proof for them being so, only an insight into their logic.

It's funny how these things work. I've tried for three years now(although trying is not really the word, I really havn't put much effort in it), but the two projections I did have were when I didn't try at all.

Keep this in mind, sometimes intense effort will keep you back, but ambition will see you thru.

By reading this Forum, I've learned that racism has just shifted colors: from White to Indigo.

Im interested on what you mean by that.
#95
Deleting it would be worse than everything.

For me it would be bad. If it came across pretentious than it would effect what I was trying to say and Christianity doesn't need more of that.
#96
why wait until they email AGAIN?

You make a good point. I'll be right back....

They are topics that Robert Bruce/Administrators/Moderators deem important or useful, so in order to keep them in the public eye, they are stuck to the first page of the forum.

My intention was not to be condescending(or was it[8]), but if that is how it sounds, I will delete the post.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / music
July 21, 2003, 17:36:04
Music will put you into a trance state fairly quickly, as will watching television or reading a book. For me(when I tried it) was to make sure the music wasn't overly long, just enough to allow myself to get relaxed and calm my mind.

The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. It's drawn the finest people.
