Yeah I have had a bunch of posts disappear for some reason.  Topics even have disappeared.  Strange...

At about a week or 2 after I had been reading about OBE's I could have exited however, I stopped myself short a couple times because I was scared.  But after about 3 weeks I was mentally prepared and exited.

I know this might sound a little odd but does anyone ever get the feeling that this physical reality is just a dream?  I don't mean for it to sound like the movie the Matrix.  And I am not trying to talk philosophy but just explain a feeling that I get.  Just sometimes throughout the day I will feel like I am in a dream.  Or I feel out of place like I just came from somewhere else.  If that makes any sense.

Anyone else get this?

Well at least for a year or 2 I have been having these dreams of going back to school.  Generally it's high school but sometimes it's elementry, however all the people tend to be the age I am now(21).

And what happens in the dream is that part way through I will realized that I have already graduated and there is no point to any of this.  Teachers will sometimes lecture me and I will tell them "I already graduated anyway so it doesn't matter."  Either they will support me, or they will lecture me some more and I will just take off.

I have been to college but I really have no desire to go back to school, I just don't care for it.  So I don't think it has to do with that.  Any ideas?

The other night I projected from a relatives house that I was visiting and instead of projecting out into the RTZ where I was at, I projected to my own bedroom(400 miles away), and I saw my body on my bed.  When I walked out a little ways a humanoid figure was standing there.  I tried shooting white light at it, to no avail and it felt like I was being pushed back.  I stood there and watched as it went up to(what I thought) my physical body and started doing something to it.  And I saw my body start to twitch and spasm.  So I immediately went back to my body and woke up, however nothing seemed wrong when I woke up.

No one slept in my room when I was gone, so did I just imagine that place I was sleeping it to be the place I normally sleep?  And any idea what that figure was?  I wasn't afraid of it but it didn't talk and seemed kind of controlling.

Hmm that's weird...all of the replies for this topic disappeared.  :?:

Okay I know I am the one who can answer this best but I wanted some other opinions.

I was having an OBE the other day and upon reentry I maintained astral sight and was staring in my room when 3 symbols appeared in front of me.

One of a christian cross.  The other a yin yang.  And the other symbol was the number "4" with vines growing around it.

I am really not sure what it means.  The cross I represents my beliefs a little bit because I believe in one God or Source and think Jesus is an important spiritual figure.  And the yin yang I definitely believe to be true.  Opposite forces are in harmony with one another and contain the opposing forces with in themselves.

But I don't understand what the 4 with vines growing around it means, nor what all the symbols have in common with each other...Any ideas?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Prayer
May 07, 2005, 12:18:56
I a lot of times say a quick prayer as I am leaving.  Every time something "bad" as happened in an OBE I haven't said a prayer.  But not to say every time I don't say a prayer something bad happens.

I know prayer works.  I am not sure if it works better in the astral or not though.

Quote from: Ка&am

In example, what kind of life is more productive
1 life of 180 years spent as a young man
vs
2 incarnations 90 years each?

Of course 1 longer life.

Not necessarily.  If someone chooses to live an unproductive life in their first incarnation, then that life, no matter how long it is, is not very productive.  Where as if they died and in their second incarnation they got just the life they needed to progress well than that 1st death might have been an okay thing for them.

I don't think our lives need to be any longer.  I think there are more cons than pros.

First I think overpopulation would probably be way more of a factor than it already is.

And second I don't think we would develop as fast mentally and spiritually everyone knew they were going to live longer.  I know it's fiction but if anyone has read any Dragonlance novels, the elves in those books are an example.  While they live longer than anyone I believe their adolescence lasts at least 3X or 4X longer than a humans.  They would be 30 or 40 years old.  And while they may look like they are in their early 20's they act and think like a teenager.

Oh I wasn't even thinking about it being possible through science!  I feel retarted.
#86
Yes I believe it's possible.  But know this:  God would VERY rarely give someone a "gift" of physical immortality, if even it all(maybe it's happened, who knows).

With that aside, immortality comes with a heavy price.  Such as making a pact with a demon, or selling your soul.  Even then you'll get screwed out of the deal, because evil cannot be trusted.  So yeah it's probably possible but it's something that should NOT be pursued for any reason.

Welcome first of all.

Well I think the reason there are no flame wars is because a lot of people here are pretty enlightened.  It takes a certain amount of enlightenment to do the things here as well.  Plus a place of knowledge generally is neutral ground for anyone.  Whether someone is good or bad, or has conflicting religions, those things get put to the side in pursuit of knowledge.

And you said you do homework so(assuming your not in college) I assume your in high school.  Don't be concerned with not having a lot of answers right now.  You are really young.  It is right that we all have different paths and only the individual can figure out his/her path.  I have a general idea about life and what it's about but I am learning new things every day.  A good place to start(for me at least) was by reading a lot of philosophy(Buddhism, Taoism, etc), religion, and learning how to meditate.

If Astral Projection is just a means of escape I would hold out on that for a little while.  While life has it's ups and downs and is a wheel of suffering, overall it is a pretty good thing.

And to answer your last question: It's all about the process of learning and overcoming obstacles(whether it be ignorance, adversity, etc.).  Although I haven't contacted my 'Higher Self' yet, from what I have read and from what I feel, our souls are near perfect beings.  So the reason we come here is to experience imperfections, strife, and just start over.  So the reason we struggle and strive to learn things that we already know is because it's not about the destination...it's the journey.

1.  I agree from a lucid dream.  Asking for my body always works.

2. No.

3. I haven't projected to any planet but I have seen them close up.

4. I have met a handful or so.  When talking to someone whilst in an OBE, it's hard to maintain the projection.  But normally I will introduce myself and they will introduce themselves.  Sometimes they are intimidated and don't say anything.  Like I saw a few gnomes working outside and I stopped and said, "Hello good day to you!".  And he just kind of stared at me like he was a deer caught in some headlights.

5. Yes it's possible.  It will seem just like you couldn't project.  It has never happened to me because when it comes to remembering dreams and OBE's I rarely forget anything.

My advice is don't fight the fear just accept it and work around it.  I still have a tiny amount of fear every time I OBE.

One thing that worked for me was taking martial arts.  We would throw on gloves and a mouthpiece and beat up each other and after you do that for a little while not a whole lot seems to phase you.

I agree with most of what's been said.  Jesus was a great man and someone who I think about and pray to a lot.

With that said, I agree with the idea that there are two Jesus Christ's.  There is the historical Christ, who was born a human, was baptized, taught for at least 3 years, and supposedly died by crucifixion.  Then there is living Christ or Christ consciousness.  This is the Christ I pray to.  It's also a(not the only way by any means) way to speak to God.  Thich Naht Han describes it MUCH better than in do in Living Buddha Living Christ.

From what I have been reading the past few months signs point to things that I suspect.  That while the bible is a good tool, it is not by any means something to follow word for word.  Because not only has it been translated so many different times but it's been heavily edited.  The original New Testament was written in Greek, for the Romans.  And most of the original gospels were destroyed and had to be written again(of course adding a few revisions is not out of the question).

Plus the way the historical Jesus was depicted is probably a huge embellishment.  Reading the gnostic gospels and a book called Holy Blood, Holy Grail, Jesus was probably married and probably had a child.  And while he was as spiritually advanced as Buddha, he probably isn't the ONLY begotten son of God.

But my "faith" doesn't rest on historical facts.  Like I said I believe in the Living Christ.  Even if Jesus wasn't crucified it doesn't affect my beliefs at all.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / OBE

Read the FAQ's here.  Pick up Astral Dynamics.  Raise Energy as much as you can.  Meditate often.  Those helped me project.

I haven't tried it to anyone.  But in Astral Dynamics, I think I remember Bruce saying that he tried to do that but it didn't work.  And they usually don't remember seeing you while they are OBEing.
#93
Actually I have posted a couple of times on your board.  My name there is ChanandlerBong.  When do you think you will be available next?
#94
I usually always see either purple or yellow swirling around.  It will usually happen when I am at the "climax" of my energy raising and last about 10 minutes.
#95
Why do you think it was a guide? (Just curious)

BTW, I did see him again in another lucid dream.  I managed to talk with him a little longer.  And around us were a few people that were sick.  I asked him a few questions that he answered.  Then 2 other guys asked him something about me.  He said I(referring to me) can't get sick here or get hurt, that I am immortal.  I asked aren't you the same way?  He shook his head, no.  That's all I could remember.

Well a week or 2 ago my OBE's were similar to that.  It would take me a lot longer than normal to get out and when I got out I couldn't very well or my head would be droopy.

The solution for me was just more energy work on my legs to exit better(my legs were the main problem with my exit) and to move away from my body.  Once I am away from my body, I glance at my hands for a second and say a few times, "Clarity Now!!".  And that really fixed the problem for me.

I assume accessing the Akashic Records via lucid dream is possible, correct?

Well I was in a lucid dream and decided to try to find it.  I flew all over the place, tried to image it, and asked everyone I ran into(this took a few lucid dreams) took a bunch of bogus leads.  Finally I get to this Chinese restaurant called Chow Fat.  And I go in the back and ask the middle aged oriental man about getting info on my past life and accessing the Akashic Records.  He asks me my name and I tell him.  And I look at his paper and my name is already on there(along with other peoples).  And he says, "Okay I will have all the information you will need in 3 months."  I say, "Okay is your time the same as my time in the physical world?  What does God tell you to go by?".  He said he wasn't sure.  So I said, "I will come back to the Chow Fat restaurant in 3 months, correct?"  He agreed and I left.

So what would you do?  Would you hold off your search and wait 3 months?  Or would you just discount it and try anyway?  I am a pretty patient guy and 3 months really isn't that long to wait for something like that, but I don't want to postpone my search if he was lying.
#98
Well just do the best you can.  I really appreciate it.
#99
Yeah I can't spend too long in the RTZ.  Where when I go to the astral plane(albeit I get there accidentally), I can stay out a lot longer.

But while the RTZ seems more "real" than the Astral Plane it is still dream like in some ways.  Such as when you remember it it's remembered like a dream.

And my projection today for example...I went outside and it was foggy for some reason and kind of gloomy.  So I willed the fog to roll back and willed the sun to come out and shine, and it did just that.

Everything is really volatile no matter where you are so I wouldn't be too concerned with what's real and what's not.

To me I think it just takes mental conditioning.  Like a while ago I was going in and out of lucid dreams for about an hour and that day and the next I was SO tired.  But actually today I had at least 2 OBE's and I was going in and out of lucid dreams for about 2-3 hours, and I feel fine.

I think the more I meditate, raise energy, and OBE/Lucid Dream, my energy level goes way up and replenishes a lot faster as well.
