Does your image contain either a car or a bus?? I did not actually see those at API but I have had a Very high number of dreams involving travel, mostly by car or bus. Also have had a dream or two about travelling in a train. Yes, this is more of a guess than an actual OBE or RV but thought that I would mention it just on the off-chance that it could be relevant.

You have done well as the symbols that you saw were very accurate. Mars and a masculine symbol fit the contents of my image well. If you try to focus on the occult color corresponding to Mars then that might help you in viewing the image.

Greetings everybody

A quick word about my personal feelings about mind altering substances. Like may people I tend to divide mind alterants into two categories. One is recreational substances (including weed, cocaine, heroin and almost all prescription medications). The other type is shamanic substances and this includes ayahuasca, mushrooms and peyote. Of course the set and setting are Always Very important and shamanic substances can be used recreationally and vice versa.
Regarding Ketamine. I consider K to be a recreation drug that is basically not suited for shamanic usage. The OBEs that have been reported by people using K were accidents, unplanned and unexpected. So I recommend that a person NOT use ketamine to try to achieve an OBE. It is unlikely to work in that regard and using drugs in general is most likely to obstruct or slow one's spiritual advancement.

Well done on phasing to API. To my knowledge you are the first person to visit API (other than in meditation) for quite some time. My image is also neither an apple nor a table. Remember that there Is an animal prevalent in the image.

To all a subtle clue. This clue will probably Not help But I do find it VERY coincidental that the artist of the picture that I selected as my image passed away about a week ago. Strange indeed!

Hi Timandra

The animal in my image is not a squirrel. Keep trying. If you feel "blocked" and unable to see anything more of my image then I suggest you switch over to bacterio's image.

btw I feel it only fair to tell everyone that so far I have Not mentally imprinted my image on to API. You see I was out of town over the weekend and have yet to do a meditation with the image and API. So far the only way anyone could have seen my image was to either go OOB or remote view my physical residence.

I agree with you opinion that API is a focus 27 location. I consider a focus 27 location to be special and apart from most other Belief System Territories. A Focus 27 area is a meeting place for astral travellers whereas most BSTs are inhabited by permanent discarnate residents and are rarely visited by outsiders. As such API meets the criteria for a Focus 27 area more than a normal BST.

Again you're efforts are impressive!!  Just one small detail, however, and that is you probably inadvertently switched bacterio's image with my image. You see, my selected image includes an animal. Now maybe Bacterio's image Also includes an animal? Possible, but unlikely.
Anyway try again and focus on the details of the image. A couple hints. First there Is a dominant color. Second, there is also motion.

You have a very good idea. During the last experiment I actually did envision a slight change to the API pyramid. I did not actually visit API out of body but visualized an addition to the pyramid (along with the selected image) during repeated meditations. So though it is quite unlikely that the change to the pyramid that I envisioned was permanent it is yet possible that somebody might detect it. And if not then a new modification to the pyramid can yet be attempted.

I believe that is very likely the case. Xanth is most probably correct in stating that the mall is a focus 27 location. A focus 27 location is an astral/ethereal realm, a Belief System Territory (BST) of sorts that is a meeting ground or temporary travel stop (to coin a phrase) for astral travellers.

As for the negative beings that you have encountered there I will mention that in the (few) obe accounts of people travelling to Astral Pulse Island there have as yet fortunately been no reports of hostile or negative encounters.

Although your post is a bit overly dramatic and also, at times, a bit crass, nonetheless when taken as a whole I like it. There is nothing wrong with posing questions in a dramatic fashion. And many of the points that you make are good ones, if somewhat melodramatic.

btw I subscribe to the multiple Gods theory, not the One and All powerful GOD. I lean more to a Hindu belief in the afterlike than a Judeo-Christian belief. Even a pantheistic belief is not too far fetched IMO.

Yeah ! A very good idea. Robert Bruce has written several accounts of going into a painting while out of body. At first he kind of did it by accident but later, after several deliberate experiences he got good at it.
So your idea is Definately worth a try. And if you Do have a go at it please post a short account of your experience here, whether you succeed or fail.

A day later than I said BUT I Did select an image last night so this new experiment is on for anyone who is interested.

Outstanding. Participants now have 2 choices. People can either choose to try to view either your image or mine.. I, for example will try view your image. And Bacterio you can also be an active participant by trying to either go OOB or RV to view my selected image. This should keep everyone busy and interested for at least a week or two.

Your interest in our experiments Is most heartening.

I have decided to 'volunteer' and place a selected image both in a room in my residence And to mentally transmit that image to API during daily meditation sessions. However, please make NO attempts tonight as I have Not yet selected an image.

Xanth I agrree with your statement that

it would be better to use an astral place instead of a room..

And that it why I will mentally imprint the image onto the API pyramid during a daily 15 to 30 minute meditation session. Th meditation sessions will allow me to work on and improve my visualizations skills which are, quite frankly, not the best.

You possess more skills at going out of body and in remote viewing than you realize. I agree with Bacterio's assertion that most of the obstacles that you face are self imposed and can be overcome. Also remember that you do Not necessarily need to OBE to API to see the image as that image is also available in a physical location. Also, you are welcome.

Are you also selecting an image to use for the experiment ? If so that would be good as 2 possibilities are better than just one.
I like your suggestions about the look, sound and feel of API. I will try to keep them in mind when attempting to go there OOB in the coming days.

You seemed to be confused during your experience. From your description it seemed that you were unsure what state of consciousness you were in. So it could have been an OBE or it could have been a dream or it could have been both. I can only guess at it and there isn't much point to that.
I have had a few experiences that left me questioning whether they were OBEs or dreams. Yet usually I am quite sure during the experience whether it is an OBE or a dream. Sometimes my consciousness is clouded and my astral senses are distorted but fortunately that is the exception and not the rule.
I hope your next experience is a fully conscious and clear OBE.

This is the cover of the rock group "Lacuna Coil's" CD titled 'Comalies". Not quite sure what type of flower that is. Timandra you came really close to getting this. If you had been able to describe the vivid orange color I would have given you full credit. Everyone else did a good job as well. Sometimes simply exercising and practicing one's OBE and remote viewing skills is as important as actually successfully completing an experiment.

Also, if anyone has an idea for a future experiment then I would certainly like to hear it.

What you experienced could have been an OBE yet it was most likely a dream. Most first time OBEs occur in the bedroom (or a nearby location). Some out of body travels Do take place in unusual places. Some people even describe suddenly being in a total void. However, those voids are almost always completely black. So the chances are that the whiteness you experienced was a product of either a dream or distorted senses. That's just my guess though and your experience may well have been something else entirely.

Dual consciousness during an OBE is somewhat rare yet it does happen to people on occasion. I have had dual consciousness occur during 2 or 3 OBEs. Once or twice I was aware of the astral state of being out of body and also aware of being physical in a near sleep state. One time I had dual consciousness of an OBE and being in a dream. That experience was actually quite confusing. So while dual consciousness is uncommon it Does happen. However, I have yet to read a satisfactory explanation of why it takes place. Like many other aspects of OBEs it is mostly a mystery.
