I wouldn't stress too much about this.  I find that it's totally common to experiencing twitching in the trance/relaxed state.  I think of it as a good sign, because your body is shutting down, which often results in these involuntary muscle spasms.

They are really distracting though, if you are really aware of your environment (which sometimes is bad if you're trying to go OBE, since you should probably be focused AWAY from your body and environment).

Usually, I wait until I start to twitch, and I know that I'm relaxed enough to "let go."  Then I allow myself to drift off to sleep, and hopefully, I will snap back to consciousness shortly with full awareness that I am getting out of my body.

I have yet to have astral sex, persay.  I do, however, find myself astrally feeling up women when I am out though.  I usually only do this when I know the experience is about to end, because doing so ALWAYS gets me worked up and I end up returning to the physical soon afterwards!

I know, I'm naughty.  The better I get at OBE's, the more I can control this....but I'm surprised at how strong the sexual attraction is with me when you have absolutely no inhibitions.

Patty,

Sounds like you and I are a lot alike when it comes to our OBE frequency!  I think the most I had was 2 or 3 in one week as well.  Of course, whenever I have even ONE obe, I think to myself while (and after) it happens, "Man, this is so EASY!  I'm going to have no trouble at all getting out again!"

Of course, two+ weeks go by and I'm wondering what the hell I did to have one the last time!

Hey all,

Thanks for the warm astral welcome!  The program is something that I have worked hard on, usually in my spare time.  I would say its 75% finished.  Once I get things working the way I want them, I will pick someone to BETA test the full registered version.  After we iron out any bugs, then I will release the shareware to you all.  Hopefully, it will help you graphically monitor your experiences.  If anything, it makes for a good journal to simply record your experiences for future reference.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Suneye

I know "Suneye" and have talked to him many times in the past.  I think he wanted me to promote his website on mine, but this was a while ago.  Anyway, the first time he came up with a technique, I tried it and it worked.  However, like most techniques I have tried, it only worked one time, and then I had to use variations of it with other techniques.  It all depends on the situation.

The one thing that I don't like about SUNEYE, is like most people, he tries and make a quick buck off of these things.  I guess it's because I used to remember when he would promote his techniques for free.  But after some time, he just decided to sell these techniques as modules of some kind, and that turned me off.  I can understand selling a book on OBE's, or a computer program, but to sell a technique?  Seems a little shady to me, but hey...that's just my opinion.  More power to the guy for trying to make a quick buck.

Thanks for posting that account, Patty.  I really found it interesting.  I have probably been projecting just as loing as you, but every time I "get out", instead of doing something scientific, I am still so excited to be FREE that I end up doing stupid crap, like showing off how I can stick my arm through walls!

I did have someone from alt.out-of-body try and get me one time when she was out of body, and although I don't remember the interaction with her, she was able to describe my bedroom in detail.  I thought that was pretty cool in itself.

The only "hit" that I have had (that I can remember offhand) was when I projected from one side of my house into a room near the kitchen, and I heard a couple of men faintly talking in there.  When I returned to the body, I found out that someone was listening  a talk radio station in the kitchen at the time.  But I take things like that with a grain of salt, and I try not to read too much into them.

Welcome Shadow!  Like you, I am the new "kid" on the block as well.  I have had a number of OBE's since my first one in 1998, although I still can't induce one at will.  All I can do is "prepare" for one, and hope that it happens.  As of right now, I usually get one to happen every 2-3 weeks.

Of course, I would like to change this ratio so that it happens all the time, and that is why I have started to post here: to make new friends who share the same experiences that I do.

Looking forward to future posts and OBE feedback!

Not only do I keep a journal of all my experiences, but I have written a computer program which records them all.  Not only that, but I made this program analyze certain variables (like body position, time of day, moon phase, etc) and graphically draw out which conditions have been best for my experiences.

If any of you are interested in checking it out, you can always email me and I could get you a shareware copy when I'm finished designing it.

Anyway, this is my first post here, so it'll probably take me a few days to get to know everyone (and read all the posts).  My name is Jeff, and I have had probably 100+ OBE's.  I used to post in alt.out-of-body a few years ago, but I stopped after all the messages became burdened with flamer wars.  It wasn't a place to talk about OBE's anymore, but instead, it became a place to defend your views to beligerent mongrels.

If you have any questions for me, just ask.  I will try to read this board as much as possible, but it's difficult because I have my own website to monitor.
