I wouldn't stress too much about this. I find that it's totally common to experiencing twitching in the trance/relaxed state. I think of it as a good sign, because your body is shutting down, which often results in these involuntary muscle spasms.
They are really distracting though, if you are really aware of your environment (which sometimes is bad if you're trying to go OBE, since you should probably be focused AWAY from your body and environment).
Usually, I wait until I start to twitch, and I know that I'm relaxed enough to "let go." Then I allow myself to drift off to sleep, and hopefully, I will snap back to consciousness shortly with full awareness that I am getting out of my body.
