I think I may have done it. But it may be just another WILD. It hasn't occurred for the past couple nights everytime I try. But I fell asleep today for a nap(JUST woke up). And I woke up like 20 minutes later or so. and I felt like drifiting back to sleep but I did my breathing because I knew this was a pivotal point to do it. I felt the sleep paralysis and I was in my home again. Walking around my house. It was the same darkness as it was now. Even the outside environment. But everyone was home adn cooking(In the dark no less), but noones home. WILD? I'm thinking so.

But I'm glad it happened again. I really do enjoy the feeling of sleep paralysis now. Its comforting, almost? hah.

EDIT: Oh and one part of it, I was floating down my neighborhood or running, all I know is I was moving fast. And I come to my house and see these kangaroo like things flock into my house, and when I get in, theres all these dogs and cats instead.

It was only my first time using this technique, and my first time in general going for an OBE. In fact, it was my first night dealing with this stuff. When I used it I had 3 seperate "dreams", as I think they were. They were very VERY lucid and I ended up getting sleep paralysis for a few minutes.
I just breathed in deep for a good three seconds, and while inhaling I said:

"I will seperate from my body"
I then exhaled another three seconds and said:

                           "And I will remember everything"

After a good 15 minutes I felt vibrations and I felt myself actually going into a "dream". I was lying either next to my bed or on it, but my tv was in a different position. I was paralyzed in the "dream" so I couldn't look around. It just felt like a very comfortable matress underneath so it leads me to believe I was still in my bed and hadn't exited yet, but the tv in a different position really threw that off.

But it worked well for my first time doing ANY of this.

Good. I wasn't scared of it going into it, but I had just never experienced sleep paralysis or even lucid dreams so it frightened me a bit at first. I had three in a row from 10:30 to 11.
Its almost like I knew I was going in and out of the dreams. I knew it wasn't a successful OBE, but I hope to have one soon.
At least I knew I was doing it right. Hah.
The only question is, If I keep at it and let the sleep paralysis happen and I block out fear, completely let go of, don't even think of it, will I have a successful OBE?

Hello. I'm a newcomer, and found these boards because I need a few answers. I had recently read about Astral Projection, OBE, and techniques, I had practiced a few breathing techniques and found one that I was very comfortable with. I'm laying in bed last night, ready to try it out. I breathed in to the count of four and said in my mind over and over,"I will slip out of my body and remember everything." After about 10 min. of that I actually felt my self slipping into a dream. But I was laying there in my bed, first person view, staring at my tv, which WAS on while I went to bed. But I had really bad sleep paralysis. It had happened 3 times in a row in 30 min. last night. I've never had it before adn I was really scared, especially waking up to it.
Now my questions:

1. Is this normal to have Sleep Paralysis when going through an OBE?

2.This isn't anything dangerous, right?

3. Was I having "symptoms" to a prelude of OBE?

Thanks for your time in advance.
