Welcome to Dreams! / Ebook on Sleep.
January 16, 2007, 11:45:58
Now I know this doesn't have much to do with dreaming. More to do with what actually happens to you during sleep and how to get the best out of the land of nod  I found it pretty interesting, and it might help you acheive the best sleep you can have... Enjoy http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KGVKSUJX

Dreams are really just projections of your subconscious. So it seems that your dreams are a way for you to tap into your subconscious and find out whats going on... sounds like it could work yeh

I have induced vibes a few times using the technique. It took me a while to realise that I wasn't sposed to be picturing myself goin down the ladder as such... More like the feelings that would occur as I AM going down the ladder. I also used the breathing to control my descent. I found it very useful  :-)

I've not been on this forum in aaages  :-o Too busy with exams and stuff.

Yeh I've had a couple of Lucid Dreams and I agree that affirmations are a good way to achieve the lucid state. And when you do you will love it, I sure did

Ahhh right I see... can you scry with your eyes closed then? Don't wanna confuse people, it's just i've never heard about it and i'm curious. :-) I take it this involves an active third eye?
#9
Haha, I was guna say that :-p

I've heard of that one before, I'd take Sarah's advice and check the forums.

Basically just start from scratch, don't expect anything. It could take time to get back to where you were. Don't doubt it either, just do it

Well what visualiisation techniques were you using? Everyone has slightly different ones adapted to suit them. You might visualise floting out of your body etc.... You need to be more specific about the kind of visualisation you were using.

Perhaps because you haven't done it in a while your just a bit rusty and need to get back into it.

I'm not hatin on religion or anything... but I don't see why they "worship" symbols :| It's one thing to "LIKE" a symbol.. but some religions offer food and stuff to statues. Surely religion is just driving them away from the truth? :? I'm not sure in the point of religion. Maybe it's cos i've never been deeply religious (Spiritual yes but not religious). ALso I don't want anyone to take offence, im just curious about religion.

It certainly makes you think about fate, that story whether it's true or not; still shocked me.

You highlighted a good point SilverSlider. If they didn't go in the lifts would they still have died? Perhaps they were all meant to die there and then, and karma brought them to the same place at once... Who knows? But I wouldn't like to be able to see my own death coming just my looking in the mirror :|

Be careful, from my experiences, the third eye can cause serious psychological and physiological problems. I advice consideration when working on your third eye.

Yes your right about that, however if you develop all the chakras equally then this shouldn't be a problem. So Gangsta work on the rest of them aswell and you shouldn't have any trouble.

I get what your saying. You may probably just have an active Ajna Chakra (Third Eye) and you are getting spontanious moments of ESP. Maybe if you developed all your chakras so everthing was in balance you would have more control over it? Worth a shot anyway

Me too. When I first started looking into this esoteric stuff I came across many sub-forums on like 9/11 and stuff and it attracted me into it. Thinking that I could beat the system I suppose... That I knew the truth about what happened. What I came to realise was that many of the people who spoke about such things had very closed minds. They didn't take well to there ideas being challenged. Fair enough you might have a strong belief in something, but when your reading someones opinion (because thats all it is) you have to keep an open mind. The end decision is up to you.

I drove myself away from it all because Personal Development is so much more important.

I dont know. Interesting though. Seems maybe a bit far fetched just because i cannot see the aura being gone until after death. But hey we are esoteric people and open to possibilities most are not.

Yer too right, Robert Bruce says it fades before death comes. But the thing is I think he's referring to natural death.. e.g. old age. Sudden Death is rather different though, but because there is only time in this realm it makes it highly probable that such a thing can happen.

Then again that story might be a false one... it's certainly possible though.

It always struck me though. Because if you observe the mind then what exactly is observing it? You are observing yourself. Subject and Object... Referring back to tolles teachings here.

Definately being focused in "The Now" (the present moment) and nothing else is the way to go. Once you realise your are not your mind you can then take control rather than your mind controlling you. Makes a lot of sense really.

I also only spend parts of my day focusing specifically on the now.. generally before sleeping. It sends me to sleep really well though :-P

Of course it's natural but just because it's natural doesn't make it easy to understand. I doubt sciene will ever find the truth about the third eye... because they have to be able to measure it with one of the 5 senses. And we all know the third eye is beyond the physical realm.

As for your experiences, don't doubt them. Just try to differentiate between whats percieved through the third eye and what isn't. That will help you not respond to things that people didn't say . I have to say i've noticed things like this myself but only on a minor scale.

:-o I didn't think many people believed in 2012, after all its only theory. I can't see why they would put it on public tv, normally they need evidence and stuff don't they?

I'm not saying your wrong, i'm sure your not. I just don't understand why they would do it?  :?

The government interferes with all processes of the esoteric/mystic. First because they themselves want to control it. Just look at ALL secret societies. In one way or another they are involved in mysticism. And even the president has involvement in secret society of some kind (see skull and bones).

I don't want to drag this topic down the conspiracy path but in response to what Enoch said, I totally agree with it. Most of the American presidents were involved in some sort of secret society. If your interested in any of this then just search Alex Jones or David Icke into Google and it will all become clear

I am going to say this though... don't spend all your time looking into this. Your personal development comes first so keep your mind open.

Another problem i'm discovering is my ability to quiet my mind.. until i began meditating i never realised how uncontrolabley busy it is.

I don't wanna go off topic too much but I totally agree with you on that one. You don't notice it until you make a conscious attempt to notice it. It's really hard to focus on just one thought without drifting away with all the mental chatter going on.

Not a LD last time but was very vivid, thats good enough for me. As long as I keep them vivid i'm happy.

Basically being more awake in this world = more awake in the dream world. So if you do the reality checks as Enoch says and simply stay more aware in this world. It will improve your attention to detail in the dream also. So you will be more likely to have an LD.

Yes, I hope to develop my skills to such a level.

I heard a story about a man who could see auras all the time around everything. He went into a building and pressed the elevator button. When it arrived there were a few people inside. However he couldn't see the auras on any of them, so he thought something wasn't right and didn't enter. A few moments later the elevator broke and they all died.

Do you think theres any truth in this? I'm not too sure myself :| but it would be freaky if it was true. I know the aura goes away before death so it would make sense.
