First, stop getting high.  Then get yourself into some kind of school and find some kind of profession you love.

Your angel will then be able to find you and you would be worth finding.

Guess no one will have any brothers or sisters.  Men would only do it once and then say never again!

And I do think most men really do like to have someone who is soft and cushy to hug once in a while.

If you love her, go get her!

If you are not sure, just tell her to listen to her guy feelings about the other man.  If it is not going well now, it will go even worse after marriage.

Let her know you are interested and that if she does break it off with him you would like to explore a deeper relationship with her - not just a quick tumble, but a nice, leisurely get to know each other thing.

all of the article may be true but I would add another:  To make good workers for the corporations.  They are indeed howling about the training they have to do which is an expensive proposition.

The philosopher-educator Rousseau had a plan that let people out of school from about 13 to 24.  He said it wasn't until one was in their 20's that one was really ready to be educated and to think and to create.

I am inclined to agree.  Let's just graduate from 8th grade, go to work for 10 years and then start secondary/upper level education and training.

Such a system might actually give meaning and value to an education instead of the just marking time that so many perceive it to be now.

Isn't it ironic that in the very poor countries kids can't wait to put on a uniform, sit in a hot room with 50 or more kids on a dirt floor with slates and chalk to write on, one teacher and no books and no fighting with each other or mf-ing anyone or anything?  It is important to them and those who can't go to school would give anything to be able to.

You love him, anyway.  You may be the only friend he's got.

Send him healing energy, but you might have to shield yourself against his negativity and rages.  If you find, however, that you are overwhelmed by his negativity, then you just may have to stay away.

I love what this organization does.  I hope to be able to join them when I retire.

And if he had gotten on a train with a bomb and more people died, they would have publically denounced the men who could have stopped him but didn't.

The every day constables do not carry guns.  But they have a sort of special forces snipers -- like a SWAT team -- that are now around the stations with the shoot to kill order which they have been very public about.

The man should have stopped when asked to.

And unlike in the USA, the Brits don't worry about being politically correct, or profiling, or being sued.  They are worried about their safety and they are very, very serious about it.

Welcome to News and Media! / Bush Sucks.

Cool breeze...and your hatred for Bush helps the problems of the world....how?

We all better hope he says and does the right things over the next three years.

And I really don't beleive the problems of the world are all his fault or our collective faults....many of the people who are suffering and dying are doing so because of their own leaders, not us.

We cannot be all things to all people....or solve all the problems in every country.  We can do what we can, but the rest of the world needs to do something too.

And hating any one in office is a waste of energy.  Better to direct that energy outward in a more peaceful thoughtform....one that perhaps can raise the level of positive energy in the world instead of just feeding into all the negative energy that already exists.

The bickering politicians are merely reflecting the bickering that seems to be going on everywhere in this country.  We are not a very satisfied bunch and it shows up in the oddest sorts of ways.

And what makes you think the democrats are any different?  Just as many of them are multi-millionaires and take money from corporations.

It is just a time of "Pick Your Brand of Fanatic"  - both parties have them.

And if someone wants to leave the country, he or she is certainly free to do so.  Free to come back too.  We are condemned to be free....big responsibility.

Presidents come and Presidents go.  And that's a good thing.   No doubt, somebody will hate the next one, or the next five.  Others won't.

Bush is the President.....good grief, get over it.  Some of us had to live with Clinton for 8 years, so you can certainly survive this.

yes, the kids want love.  Just that too many of them are confusing the sex with love and confusing social popularity with love or  being envied with love.

Granted, many parents work and commute too many hours to spend much time with their kids.  But many of those with long hours or two jobs are doing it to keep the kids in a better school district or a safer neighborhood -- or just to keep any kind of roof over their heads and food on the table.

And anyone who has been around American kids for long knows they are "gimmee" machines -- want everything they see and they definitely see too much both materially and sexually at increasingly young ages.

And if you talk to parents, it is always well at least they aren't doing drugs, and my kid doesn't do that anyway.  Well, it is somebody's kid and as we all remember, teenagers do not tell parents everything.  Even the ones who sound like they are, just sound like they are - they aren't really revealing much, just blabbing away.

a recent survey showed that 2/3 of all 17 year olds have had sex or oral sex.  What kind of men and women are they going to be?

Didn't have a sprinkler.  Didn't have a lawn.  But did the know difference between being in church and being other places.

And no, I didn't buy into a lot of what was being told to me because I looked around and quickly figured out that none of that good stuff was happening here and that if God was what he said he was, then he was a real SOB, playing favorites and all.

By 14 I had figured out that no priest had a hot line to God, but I did have a better concept of God than what was being taught to me.

Children will take it more seriously than going to dance school, but not if their are dolls of the person they are supposed to be praying to.  Puts Jesus on the same level as a teddy bear or a Ken doll.

I think everyone eventually finds their way to what they believe in and what they don't, but it has to start somewhere.  I couldn't have possibly known what I was objecting to if I hadn't heard it in the first place.

In my childhood, we certainly made fun of the nuns but did take the priests more seriously and knew how to act in church and learned at least some basics of right and wrong.   I do know none of us saw God or Jesus as a big Teddy Bear or Santa Claus in the sky who owns some kind of theme park where we can go on rides -- that is another problem.

It is good for a laugh.  Until someone teaches these young girls that oral sex at 14 is a using type of situation -- and teach these girls to say NO to being used like that, I guess we will have to put up with these pitiful attempts that will never replace a little self-respect.

Being a teacher of teenagers, I see everyday that too many of our young girls are so eager to be liked, so starved for affection and attention that they will do just about anything.  It is really sad and it doesn't make them happy.  At their ages, this sort of thing is definitely not a two-way street.

Maybe they just need fathers or brothers to tell them not to give it up so easily.  Might have more of an effect than this.

What next?  A Jesus board game?  It is obscene.  When even Jesus and Moses are toys...how can anyone expect children to take any religious instruction seriously?

Selecting people for anything based on race is about as effective as selecting them based on shoe size.

I would favor affirmative admissions for lower income kids, but race is obsolete.  I have seen kids with wealthy parents get affirmative action admissions to colleges and win scholarships.

Income based scholarships assuming high grades and test scores would be fair to everyone.  Universities that have gone to this kind of a sysem do end up with a diverse student body as there are poor smart kids all over the place.

It is a contradiction to ask for equality and then expect preferential treatment as supporters of racial affirmative action do.

Racism exists in this country and affirmative action as it has been applied has only perpetuated it rather than eased its effects.

And I really resent the preferential bonus points given to the athletes as if the kids on the Debate Team or who play an instrument or paint or do community service are any less valuable as students.  The difference I suppose is that the athletes bring in those big bucks from the Alumni and corporations.  Any student who excels at any activity should get the same points or no points given at all for extracurriculars.

Pay no attention to this arrogant nut-bag.  Reinstate my posts or die is definitely nutso.

Just shows how desperate he is to have an audience.

If it is so all important that people see his crazy posts, then he should start his own forum.

It is now the 25th.  Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone.

Welcome to News and Media! / 'Ascension' Symptoms
January 04, 2005, 22:35:43
Sounds familiar.  But then any of it can fit into any number of things like depression, menopause both male and female, various illnesses and also side effects from medications.

I am especially sensitive to noise and sunlight, particularly as I get older.  Also, I tend to avoid crowds at all costs.

Don't know if any of that has any particular meaning.  Doesn't seem to.  I just pass it off as middle-aged crankiness with a tendency to be easily annoyed.

Maybe it is just Mother Nature trying to cull the herd of man.

Besides, if it were the US government, I can think of better targets, more effective ones for the current foreign policy.

Not even the most skeptical bone in my body can see people in Washington doing this.  We are not that barbaric, at least not yet.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Sexual Taboo to Legality

The polygamists of Utah are already making moves to legalize it.

Only problem I have with it is that it is only the men who get to have more than one spouse.

Why not the women having more than one husband?  I am sure the polygamists don't intend for that to happen.

But why not?  I would like to have two, working husbands so I can finally be a lady of leisure and feel pampered.

OK.  apologies if I overstepped anyone's boundries.

On Thursday night, on C2C with Noory, she again said she is worried about an attack from North Korea.

She also said she thought mankind had only about 80 years left on this planet, then it and we would no longer exist.  Her reasoning is that she can't see anything past that.

Another of her more interesting thing is that we will be visited, and have been visited, by aliens from other planets.  Some of whom will now return to see what we have done to ourselves and our planet that will lead to the disappearance.

Wonder what her accuracy level is.  Two grim predictions.

Also wonder how it meshes with other psychics this year.

She still claims Bin Laden is dead and someone else is speaking for him and 2005 is the year we pull out of Iraq.

Hannah....why the shock?  Just a reality of our world.  Don't you think if the North Korean dictator send nukes our way, that the public would be demanding we respond in kind?

While it may be shocking and we can question the morality of it, if San Francisco, Anchorage, or Los Angeles were blasted into radioactive rubble,  do you really think the USA wouldn't react in the severest form possible while telling the rest of the world to butt out?

All too possible, I am afraid.  And after the shock and sorrow and trauma, it wouldn't be long before a lot of pent of rage in this country is let out as a wounded public demands revenge.

The man has an marching army of a million soldiers.  Canon fodder for a tyrant who will do anything to stay in power.  We would have to draft a million young people to invade the place.  He keeps trying to make his people believe that the USA is ready to invade any second now.  Doesn't take a great leap of logic to see that he would actually do something to instigate an attack.  How else can he continue to convince them they are starving for a worthy cause?

The saddest part of it all is that the people of North Korea are eating grass while the military and the dictator spend all their resources on having nuclear weapons to use or to sell.

And he is a young man so he is not likely to just up and die.  Maybe the best we can hope for is that one of his generals decides to overthrow him.
