ive done a few replies bsically covering my style of meditating

When I wake up in the day... I focus on a spot that interests me... randomly. (for im always trying to figure stuff out)

When im specifically meditating... i never sit uncomfortably. I wait for a spot to activate, and then I work with the awareness it sends out. I dont try to control it.

I sometimes use commands / encantations to occupy my mind. "Here" and "Stop" is my favorite.

I do these 2 most of the time. I lay down either on my back with pillow slightly under shoulders or on my front with head to the left.

Energy sensations are most easy to feel in these optimal body positions. Lying on your back is great to develop fetus-breathing.

hehe! that alone helped a lot to ease my mind. Im building up the courage!!! Since I can do it after only a few seconds of closing my eyes (when tired of course), my recently conjured plan is to travel a little further in the transition every time. At this rate im bound to succeed in 1 night. Idiotic that i didnt think of this before.

Ive had some scary stories told to me when i was younger from people who focused on dreaming a lot. This might be the biggest cause to my fear. But just to defend my self, ive never had a problem with dreaming up until recently. Ive always just ignored it or disregarded it - foolishly.

this is why i dislike using the word meditation. people think that the most important thing is silencing their mind. i consider developing ones energy the most important thing. silencing the mind becomes easier as you increase energy, and even after advanced practicioners silence their mind forever ... they still strive to increase their energy. for this reason :: i consider developing energy the most important thing ... and for that reason - id ignore anything else that doesnt come easy

heres a technqiue... 1 = sit down and just wait for a spot on your body to activate. At this point, make this spot your SPOT.. and ignore any other ones that come about until your SPOT deactivates. When it activates, make up some funny/comical/magical sayings + encantations that relate to the spot. Or just sing doodly songs that relate to the spot. Or .. if you are a practical person --- just repeat the same word over and over again. I personally prefer to say "Here" while focusing on a spot on my body. Dont stress that the specific spot your working on is developing at the speed you want, it doesnt really matter because the rest of your energy body will fall into place quite nicely as you ignore it.

Key final note = dont stress no matter what. If you dont like meditating because its physically or mentally uncomfortable, change the way you go about it to make it comfortable. Also, make it fun. People forget that simple fact. When its fun, you continue to do it, and you progress at a TREMENDOUS rate. In reality, the meditation act is only a ritual that helps you relax. If its not relaxing, its useless. It would be more ideal to meditate while watching television.

I suggest these two resting positions that for some odd reason no one likes to put emphasis on.

1 = Lay down on your front, head turned to the left.
2 = Lay down on your back, pillow slightly under your top shoulders and under your head completely.

The latter is THE SECOND best exercise for beginners + lazy practicioners to develop their Deep/Fetus breathing abilities. Its truely amazing. MY method of doing this is by ATTENTING-TO my chest + lower back and only giving a very slight and light attention to my breathing. Basically... by not focusing on my breathing but by focusing on the areas around it, I breathe like a baby.

I switch up between the two. If one doesnt feel "right" for some reason. I turn over.

the spinal column is less pleasent* of the 2 isides. if you want good feelings.. focus on the gentials, navel, chest, throat. - if you focus on the throat, focus downward. Throat upward feels uncomfortable. Throat downward feels like dripping/running water - its very comforting. The chest is the best for feeling, the emotions it brings are moving to no end if you can get the spot going properly. The thoat is very beneficial for purpose of meditation or doing any act. The Carlos Casteneda stuff calls it the Center of Decisions. I love their practical explanations. Every energy pump that is sent in the throat rejuvinates your power to decide (it is applicable to ANYTHING in life) If you want to know more on why, I suggest looking up the Thyroid gland.

a tip that I try to live by all the time if I every do enegy work ... the most wise tip ive ever been given.

do not try to force a spot to focus on. if you are about to do energy work, sit down or whatnot and just relax and wait. if you have to focus on a spot, focus on the belly. You are waiting for a spot to activate on its own accord. Once that happens, just follow its awareness rythym/movement, create imagery to go along with the spot, create magical witch-like encantations that associate with the spot (they are fun to do mostly). Whatever to keep your attention there. But mostly, just follow and be receptive. The forcing doesnt help anything. Anyone who knows anything about energy knows that in forcing things, you are going against nature. Nature goes on its own accord, so Its wiser to just follow it to cause minimal stress.

first time posting in the astral section. im coming to 20 yrs old, male. My energy developing skills are quite good. A major fear holding me back right now is dreaming. I have restrained from doing it for so long, and now it wont let me go at night. I close my eyes for a second and I feel like im moving... so I open up my eyes of course, returning from a waving feeling similar to a hollucination. Lately Ive only been sleeping durring the day.

Experience Question:
- entities: are they existing? I feel like Ive experienced one in a recent dream. But im not sure. What do I do about these guys, stuff like this scares me. In my most recent experience, some type of entity zapped my genitals + arm and said "we have (or had) an agreement Dreamer," then started to spin me around in circles (i woke up at this point). is that in my head or what

My Fears:
- im terribly scared of the transition phases. and im scared of going too far in any way too. I hear there are multiple gates in dreaming and different entities... I want to take baby steps.
- my biggest fear: im afraid that even 1 astral-projection would give me a surpluss of energy/awareness that would cause "real life" to be equal to a dream. As far as actual awareness goes. If I do even a small amount of energy work on my stomach/chest ... and "gaze", it starts to full-on resemble a dream. I feel that if I do astral-projection, the dream state feeling in "real-life" will be a common place due to the increased energy. This simply scares me for social reasons. I live with my parents... and I dont enjoy being around family in that state. It makes me cry to no end, so I have been deliberately avoiding it.

yeah i see those .. they are cute :) i like them ---- iono exactly what it means to see them though
#8
sickness.. . i want that
#9
mine is constnatly active... it rests between the eyes in the little indent/crevice right at/under the skin

and id say focus on that point... or at the point where the hindus put the red-dot ... when i get strong sensations it feels like energy is rapdily pouring into that spot ...

actually focus inbetween the eyes... thats where i focus when i want to say hello ... once u get that spot then the crown + moving it around should come easy (from my experience)

and yeah it moves around...u can control it.. going to the temples...around t he eyes..up the forhead ... down the nose yet it never likes to stay down there and it takes effort to keep it down .. kinda like trying to stay underwater with floaties

ooo a perfect chance for me to diss the pot smokers and praise the pot eaters

basically... all 'n all... anyone who smokes a lot of pot knows that its addicting to a certain level ... and when u get past the hilarious philosophy..its virtually pointless

HOWEVER

bust yourself up with orally injested canabis and do some energy development ... i say woah woah :) 100% non-addicting

oh and feel free to try some magic mushrooms for energy development.... equally as waoh waoh - but dont scare youreslf + freak yourself out .. these bad boys will kick ur butt if ur koo-koo
#13
can i make a psi ball to alert of me of hot chicks in the surrounding area?
#14
why would u stop? lol

and what is there to theory-ize ... just be aware of the energy in your body as much as possible and keep going until you are super-man

for the most part i only take one note of advice with me... work on 1 of these 5 points (root, naval, heart, crown, brow) until its mastered. so i sit/lay down and think about one of those points until i can 'activate' it in a second any time of the day ---> then i move on to another. the goal being when im done with them all ill be able to have all 5 points going at the same time any moment out of the day.. oh thats heaven

2 down 3 to go nAY meaN

does anyone here have a constant awareness of any chakra? my sub-brow and crown are active whenever i want them to be... basically 24/7

i cant really get the other ones --- im wondering if anyone else any constnatly open ... specifically the other ones (base / heart / naval)
