Thanks for the responce, yes it was very interesting. One thing tho I felt alone like by myself in a hole except for when I seen the shadows I had a different feeling. Did anyone ever experience the shadows before the projection?

Here my little experience from lastnight.

I was in my bed on my back, I closed my eyes and began to relax. It really doesn't take much for me to start to relax and feel the vibrations and noises, last night sounded like a saw for some reason and only lasted for a few seconds. I kept telling myself I was leaving my body and I tried to do a sit up out of it, I felt the motion but also felt like my chest was attached and as far as I could go was my head and legs. That was all in a matter of 10-15 minutes, after trying that hard I relaxed again for the first time I actually started to see things and my body was shifting around. I didn't get out of my body all the way but I did feel like I floated above it and shifted to one end of the room to the other. When my eyes were closed I started to see shadows in weird formations. The longer I stayed in that state it seemed to get much darker and these blobs of shadows or cloud formations started to spin then slowed and I stated to see a white spot but that shortly went away. Well all this was happening I heard a TV that was on up stairs, for the most part I put it out of my head all together. I eventally opened my eyes and felt awake but not sure were I was or what time it was everything seem darker then normal.

It was an interesting experience and the weird part is when I tried to go to sleep after the fact. I turned over to fall asleep and I closed my eyes and I felt like I was experiencing the same feeling of being light and floating so I opened my eyes and said to myself "I wasn't even trying"... But atleast 4 more times I opened my eyes after the fact and got the same feeling.

I was close I believe, I hope someone can jump in and let me know what was going on there. Maybe next time I won't have the TV as a distraction.

I'll start off by saying Hi, I'm Joe. Ive been very interested in this subject for many years now and had some mild results. I say "long time beginner" because it seems very easy for me to get into a state where I'm being pulled from my physical self, this has happened to me every time I begin to AP, I just never get as far as to have the actual experience and am able to wonder around (I really haven't tried to get that far). I seem to be able to achieve the noises (popping or even voices) and the vibrating feelings along with feeling like floating in my bed. I do plan on going farther in my experience I just need to know the state of mind I should be in when I reach that point other then saying to myself "damn this feels cool". Also do you notice your heart rate seem to climb when you feel yourself being pulled?

I am also very interested in the types of Spirits, Entities or Guides that I may encounter.
Here's another question I have about the Astral Plane, some people talk about when they project they roam there house or go outside, what about the places that you've never been to or seen before. I guess my question is some people seem to be in this fairytale land type of place and some seem to be at home or in space for that mater. Is it unlimited to the locations you travel to? Can you look back in time or travel into time?

Thanks for your help and the site looks great....

Joe
