Well.. I'm wrong I guess. I'll go back to just reading this site from now on.

Really what I was getting at was her ability to scare people, for instance if you google "astral projection" Erin Pavlina pops up maybe 5th on the list with a page titled "The Dangers Of Astral Projection". As a beginner you don't want to be indoctrinated with fears.. In the NP you could have sex with a ghost raptor from mars if you wanted, the fact is that the astral is what you make it and beginners don't understand that... luckily I had a bunch of good experiences before I read any of that garbage, it was easily dismissed upon further reading...

now you're blowing my mind! I had a toothache, its pretty much gone now but it was causing some swelling and pain in my neck, my shoulders are almost always tense from working on a computer. wow. just wow.

first thing that comes to mind. An obe from a few nights back, i was looking up at the stars, there was a ring of stars but they looked funny, i flew up there and entered the ring, they were blue stars. I climbed up onto a transparent platform that was emitting a purple smoke or steam. anyway, i saw a sign that said "think of anything you want, and it will be" I thought of a friend and they appeared, I actually watched them manifest slowly from the head down. Like they were beamed in from the enterprise. lol, so this was blue, in the sky and had information (the sign).

I get more info from dreams, if I'm having a problem in life i will sometimes meditate on it and get answers, I should really work on that for other means

Let me start this with an experience and I'll get to the point. 6 months ago my cousin Samantha passed away unexpectedly from a drug overdose. We were close as kids but as we got older we lost contact.. I went to her wake, it was quite sad as she died on her 32nd birthday, its very young.. So that night I had a spontaneous OBE, I found myself standing on the side of a road when a car pulled up, It was Samantha! I got in the car and she took me to a house on the ocean, her new house. She looked great, laughing and smiling, she was really proud of this new house. I tried to ask about her death but she didn't want to talk about it, she was insistent that I just take the tour of the new place. It was nice, the ocean surrounded the place, the water was right at the back door. And that was that, I got the message, she was OK.

Anyway, I knew this message wasn't for me as we hadn't talked for a very long time. I wanted to tell her sister Mary but it's not that easy to do without sounding like a loony tune... I didn't say anything... Then, a couple months later Mary posted something on Facebook related to a new age topic and then I felt like maybe I wouldn't sound so crazy. I told her the whole story and she was thankful for it. We talked about OBE's in general for a while, I told some of my other experiences and she was genuinely interested... This is where we get to Erin Pavlina, She did some searches on astral projection and found Erin, the next thing I know I'm getting messages about how demons can take over your body and how everything thing is out to get you. Which I responded that Erin doesn't know whats she's talking about, we all know that. Then I  she asked me about astral sex, sure it sounds like fun but it ends my experiences just thinking about it, or if I'm able to follow through I wake up feeling like I wasted a perfectly good experience, so I avoid it. It just sucks that the first thing people find when they research AP is Erin Pavlina, she does much more harm than good, never mind that she charges 800 bucks for a "reading". Anyway, I'm thankful that I found this site and all you folks 

It was very vivid, everything was in place except the events. It was one of those dreams that I knew I would remember. I've had precog dreams in the past and this very well could be one. Most times I will verify them within 3 days, but often they are precogs of minor things.. I guess we will see thank you!

Off the top of my head, I've got nothing. The plane crashed on grove st and there is a Grosvenor st, just down the road on the city line? hmmm outside of of that I don't know 

This was a quick dream and I woke up frightened which doesn't happen often. I was outside with my girlfriend when a bunch of lights starting flying toward us, at first I thought it was a UFO, as it got closer I realized it was 3 cars flying through the sky quite out of control. I knew it wasn't possible for cars to fly and figured they got thrown in the air somehow. Worried, we ran to the back of the house, there was a small plane in the air flying straight toward us. I knew it was gonna crash, possibly hit us. I told her to run and go in the basement, when we got to the door the plane crashed on the street about 20ft away from us. We got inside and the house was on fire. The End

That is beyond wild, the level of detail is incredible. Just Wow! Thank you for sharing! The information you got seems so simple, but rings so true....

That's a very common first experience, very similar to my first experience too. The voices and noises may have been because you weren't fully out or just too close to your physical body. I think that you can project consciously, it's all in how you think about it. Tell yourself that it's easy and that you will have an experience tonight. The power in positive thinking is amazing... It may not work every time, but it will work. just keep at it 

That is awesome! I would check out the book for sure. This actually reminded me of an experience I had about a year ago when I started having obes. I didn't know any of the terminology, especially the notion of different dimensions. Anyway, I was waking up from a good sleep and recalling my dreams when I heard a voice say "welcome to the fifth dimension" very clearly. So, search online those exact words trying to figure out what it means, whats the fifth dimension? I find that there is a book with that exact title. I never did read it, i think I will. Maybe it was a simple welcome, but still a strange coincidence none the less.

I don't know what to make of this, so here goes. I found myself in a prison being escorted to my cell, my best friend was my cellmate. I was surprised to see him there, we chatted a bit.. He asked how long my sentence was, I told him it was 3 years maybe less if I get parole.. He was excited because he was getting out in just a few months, but it upset me knowing my only friend was going to leave. Anyway, he had brought his guitar with him, I had mine also. I knew it would help getting through the days and it really stood out in the dream. In the next scene I was walking to the cafeteria, I was worried about money, I only had $20 and nobody to help me financially while I was in prison... Now I'm in the cafe, time seems to have elapsed, my best friend is gone, I'm broke, but I made friends with the women who work in the cafe. I had breakfast and a chat with a lady who worked there... As I'm leaving I notice that all the women that work in the cafe are packing up there stuff and putting their coats on. I asked what was going on, they said they were quitting, that they may or may not come back. The End

I'm not the type of person that will ever find myself in prison, but there seems to be a pattern of upset and abandonment. I can't make the link to my life, what do you think?

I projected during a nap and observed my girlfriend watching tv in another room. A few minutes later i physically went and saw her sitting in the same exact spot on the couch. That's just one simple example of personal proof, you can do other experiments where you look at something in the NP then go back and look in the physical, chances are they will be the same. See for yourself. Being skeptical is a good thing, why else would any of use be doing this?

You may have had dreams of her because she was thinking about you around that time. Maybe she had a crush on you? I know what you mean though, it's not that easy to ask those questions.

I've had an interesting series of projections recently, please share your thoughts One night i had a obe and landed in my bedroom, I went outside and started down the street when a woman appeared on the sidewalk. I didn't think much of it, just said hello and kept on going. Nothing eventful seemed to happen that night. So, a few nights later I was making an attempt to meet another astral projector when I landed in my bedroom again. I started down the road in the same direction as the previous experience when I saw the person I intended to meet! Only thing was it seemed she was brought there by the woman I mentioned before, they were standing next to each other on that same sidewalk. (this travel was confirmed by the other traveler as a dream) again, I was excited about accomplishing what I had set out to do and ignored the stranger. After this experience I started thinking about who she is, and why she appeared twice like that. Now I have to find out. I tried a few times to meet her again and one night it happened, in the same spot on the sidewalk once again. I asked her name and got it, she told me that she is a neighbor and that we would meet in either 6 weeks or 6 months. (6 somethings)..... A couple of weeks go by and I'm sitting outside relaxing, sure enough, she comes walking down that very same sidewalk with her dog. I was completely stunned!! We didn't really make eye contact, so I don't believe it was "meeting". I'll have to wait and see on that one. I wonder if she was conscious during these experiences, if so, why is she coming to me? It's not like I can run up to her and say "you're that lady I see when I astral project!" haha That might not go so well... I guess time will tell

I don't doubt that anyone can learn how to AP. My brother and I both had OBEs spontaneously while going to sleep at different times in our lives. No one ever said "hey, it happens and don't be afraid". It happened and I found that information, same with him just 15 years earlier. I'm not saying its genetic, I don't know. I don't believe in coincidences either. I was thinking about it a couple of ways, maybe it's more spiritual. Could he and I have been friends in a past life and this is a reminder?

I just recently started learning about astral projection, and as you can imagine it's been leading me to other topics of interest. Ponder this:
Is the ability to astral project carried genetically or is it something more when family members OBE spontaneously?

I wrote a little introduction on this site a couple weeks ago where i explained how I've experience SP my entire life, this eventually led to and OBE a few months ago. Since this happened I've been reading and learning as much as i can, and it seems like this comes naturally to me. Anyway, I remember having a conversation with my brother about 15 years ago when i was a teenager, and he told he me how he often got SP and one time he floated out of his body and saw himself sleeping there. I didn't think much of it then, actually it sounded scary... I now know that it's not scary and have had some amazing experiences. But I didn't tell my brother that I've been projecting, I wasn't sure if he had continued to experiment with projection or not. Then a couple of nights ago I had a dream that I was sitting with my brother and I asked him about it. He told me that he has OBEs all the time, we sat there and had this great conversation before we off flying into the night. I was very lucid at the flying part, it was a great dream.  When I woke up I knew that I had to call him and tell him about this dream, and I did. We started talking about Astral Projection, consciousness, life and death. He really does project all the time, just like the dream he's been studying this stuff for the last 15 years. It's great because there was a time when he and I were really close and as life has gone on we haven't been. I could see this bringing us back together, already he's sending me links and suggesting books to read. it's really nice...

I've been reading this site for a bit and i think it's great! Anyway, I've been playing with projection for the last few months although had I realized what was already at my fingertips it should have been years. As a child and and through my entire life I have experience sleep paralysis, as a kid it was the scariest thing i had ever experienced. I  remember my my mom took my to a psychiatrist when i was in my early teens because it was happening every night, I couldn't  sleep! Doctors didn't have an explanation, just drugs.  The internet just scared me more talking about 'The Hag' and other demonic garbage. so, I took the drugs. I took a pill before i went to sleep every night for years. When I got older i just forgot about the sleeping pills and life went on, the paralysis was minimal.

Now what happened a few months ago blew my mind! I was laying in bed going to sleep when i got the paralysis, I thought to myself "I don't even care,
I'm going to sleep" and i just ignored it. And BOOM! Reality exploded and the scene of my room were shards of glass flying in black space. Now I was floating at the ceiling of my bedroom and staring at my sleeping body and my girlfriend next to me. This was amazing to me! The projection lasted maybe a couple of minutes, that's all it took to get me excited. I've had about 6-8 projections since, I've seen the Earth from the Moon on a cloudy night. I've flown around my neighborhood and beyond. (I need to learn how to land better!)
